Dear Diary,

I’m back at the park again. Volleyball practice ended a while ago, and Grandma’s staying over at a friend’s house tonight, so I’ve got some time to myself. I should probably be doing my homework, but this place is too peaceful to pass up. I brought it with me anyway—might as well finish it here.

It’s nice having this park so close to home, only five minutes away. Whenever I’ve got a free moment or Grandma doesn’t need me, I come here. It became a regular spot for me.

I saw the woman who gave me this notebook again today. She was under a tree, putting her things away. I thought about walking over to thank her again properly, but she didn’t see me and left on her bike before I had the chance.
