BIANCA GRIMACED UNCOMFORTABLY as she pulled her skirt down. She couldn't help but feel self conscious as she stared at herself in the mirror. Her hair was braided into two long braids, so her bangs were for once out of her face. And swept onto each side of her face. She stared at herself in the bathroom mirror again, wincing to herself slightly.
She didn't like how her bangs looked with the braids and all of sudden she felt more self conscious than she felt comfortable being. She brushed her bangs off to the side, in a futile attempt to make them look okay. She usually wasn't self conscious but today was different. It was Halloween and somehow her friends had somehow convinced her that they could pull off one last costume before it wasn't socially acceptable for them to dress up for Halloween anymore.
Jonathan had managed to opt out of the dressing up with some convincing. But unfortunately for Bianca, she has never been that good at coming up with excuses. So tonight after school was over she'd be chaperoning Will and his friends trick or treating. Rowan and Delaney had offered to come with her, and she agreed only on the account that she didn't want to watch over five pubescent preteen boys by herself.
She anxiously stared at herself in the mirror. Her face didn't show it, but she felt strange dressing up like this again. It was like being a kid again, but nothing was the same as it was when she was thirteen. It wasn't like she was going to be wearing this for school. It was just for the pictures, it would give Will a sense of normality that they haven't had in a while. She had stopped dressing up for Halloween with him when she was fourteen.
But she still ended up babysitting him and his friends every halloween since then. Just without costumes, and to make sure the boys didn't get kidnapped or something. She was sure Steve would be pissed if she let his younger brother go missing on her watch. But she hadn't even ever talked to the guy, so she really wasn't sure. Finn didn't seem to like his brother too much either. Which was understandable given the attention the two brothers got.
Things were very different than when she was thirteen. That had been the last time she had dressed up for Halloween. That year she had dressed up as Supergirl, and Nancy back when they were still friends had been Wonder Woman. If she was thirteen again right now she and Nancy would probably be wearing their halloween costumes and chaperoning their brothers through the blocks of their neighbourhood together.
The boys would have their bags full of candy, running from house to house. While she would listen to Nancy rant about the boys in their class. And Bianca would just listen, and she'd smile. She sighed to herself in the mirror. She fixed her bangs slightly so they framed her face better. At least she didn't look like a walking corpse. She flattened the long little black dress she wore that she borrowed from her mom, who had worn it in highschool.
She winced slightly as she stared at the white collar at the top of the dress. It was slightly uneven, so she scrambled to fix it before her mom called her and Will over to take pictures. She never liked it when her clothing was creased, a habit ever since she was a child. She'd insist her mom iron her clothes every day because she hated the fact her clothes could get creased so easily.
Every year since they were little, their mom would usher them down the stairs every Halloween and would insist on taking pictures of the three Byers kids in their Halloween costumes. Over the years, it just became Will dressing up while Jonathan helped mom take the pictures. It was the first time she's dressed up properly for Halloween in years. The last time she dressed up was probably when she was fourteen.
She jumped slightly as she heard her mom call her name. "Bianca! Honey, it's time for pictures." She yelled out to her from the hallway. She smiled slightly as she walked down the hallway to see her little brother decked up in full ghostbusters costume. Will waved at her slightly. While Jonathan cooked scrambled eggs on the stove. "Hey, look at you." Her twin brother laughed as she walked down to the breakfast table.
She smiled slightly at the sight of her twin. "How do I look?" She asked with a slight smile, twirling around in the dress slightly. Jonathan gave her a thumbs up and chuckled. "You're a pretty good Wednesday Addams, you really pull off the corpse look well." He muttered sarcastically. She snorted slightly. "Wow, that's a lot to say as someone who isn't even wearing a costume." Her brother shrugged. "Oh, sue me." He said, chuckling slightly as he passed her over a plate of eggs.
She let out a small chuckle and placed the plate over on the table. Her mom smiled at her. "Oh look at you! You look beautiful, honey!" Her mother grinned at her, and kissed her cheek. She smiled slightly at her mother's praise, even though she really didn't believe her. She smiled slightly as her mother kissed her cheeks softly.
Her mom then pulled her attention over to her oldest son. "Jonathan! Go grab the camera. We'll eat after." She told the boy, who finished up the eggs and walked over to his room to grab the camera. "Ohh.. you two look so cute." Joyce cooed as she squeezed Will's cheeks in her hands. Will rolled his eyes at her slightly, but the smile on his face told her that he was enjoying it.
Bianca smiled over at her little brother, fully decked on in his little ghostbusters costume that mom had handmade for him. She had helped mom get the materials to make the costume so Will wasn't left out. "How's it going Spengler?" She grinned at her brother, putting her hand out for a high five. Will grinned at her excitedly. "I'm excited. The others are dressing up too."
She smiled down gently at her little brother. She fixed a strand of his hair that was caught in his face. "I'm sure you guys will be the best Ghostbusters Hawkins, Indiana has ever seen." The smile Will gave her could light up a whole christmas tree. "Thank, Bia." He grinned at his older sister. She ruffled his hair slightly. "C'mon, let's go take pictures." Their brother had come back out of his room with his camera in hand ready to take pictures.
Jonathan grinned at them. "On three alright?" He muttered as Will got into a pose in the shot. "3, 2, 1." Jonathan counted down, a grinning. "Wait hold up the proton blaster." Will nodded, grinning as he held out the proton blaster for the picture. Bianca and their mom grinned at each other. "There you go Will! Very photogenic." She chuckled slightly. "Turn to the right." Jonathan said, as the camera flashed again in Will's face.
Jonathan grinned. "There we go." Joyce chuckled. "Go join him honey." She patted Bianca on the back and laughed. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming." Bianca nodded, laughing slightly. Will grinned at her as she bent down slightly to get a better picture with him. "Aww, look at you two. My little ghostbuster and Wednesday Addams." She wrapped an arm around her little brother's shoulder with a grin.
Jonathan's camera flashed again, a few more times as the two Byers siblings changed poses. Bianca held out a peace sign with her fingers as Will pointed his proton blaster off to the left. It was definitely a riveting photo, Egon Spengler and Wednesday Addams? That's probably an extremely unexpected crossover episode.
They took a few more photos until it was time to get ready for school. She quickly ran back to her room to change before the morning was over. Mom was dropping Will off at school today, which meant she'd get to school mostly on time right before the bell rung. She heard the front door shut slightly as she was getting into the living room. Turns out they didn't have enough time to eat breakfast anyways, the pictures had been worth it though.
As she carefully took her costume off and got into her normal everyday clothes. She was shoving her jacket on halfway outside of her bedroom when she spotted something on the wall. Right across the hallway from her bedroom was Will's, and usually it was closed. But today, it wasn't. She swallowed down the sinking feeling in her stomach and walked towards the now empty room.
As soon as she walked in, she looked down to see two distinct drawings on the floor. She narrowed an eyebrow in confusion as she bent down to pick them up. That's weird.. Will usually puts his drawings in his drawers when he's done with them. He's done that since he was little. Her frown deeps as she takes a look at the creased picture in her hands.
It's a dark shady image, Will's always been good at art. So she's not surprised by how good it is. There were dark and greyish clouds at the top of the picture, cascading into a spidery-like monsters with its arms all stretched out around the picture. She tried to ignore the gut feeling in her chest that something's terribly wrong. But maybe Dr. Owens really is right, and she's paranoid.
She can't stop thinking about why Will would even draw something like this. He never made any new villains for his DND campaigns, he would have told her so if he had. Maybe it was just a secret one then? So top secret even she couldn't know? She didn't know. It looked like there were power lines the monster was up above, like it was controlling the town.
She never knew her little brother had such a.. interesting imagination. But weird drawings didn't have to mean anything, right? She took her head, putting the picture on top of Will's desk. She left the room without another word. On her way to school, in the back of her mind. Bianca couldn't stop thinking about it...
Those drawings... they were a little too detailed to just be the imagination of a preteen boy. It couldn't be, couldn't it? No, no, that can't be right. Her intuition is almost always wrong, it never ends well. Her intuition almost always leads her wrong. So she can't trust it. She sighs to herself. The familiar building of Hawkins high appears in her vision as she drives into the parking lot.

THE REST OF THE DAY goes by in a blur. Bianca feels as if she's walking through a dream. She barely registers anything that anyone's saying as she walks through the hallways like a ghost. She takes a deep breath in. She can hear the bell ring, signaling that first period is over. She frowns to herself, silently stalking the halls and praying to god that none of the popular kids try to talk to her.
Bianca knows she should be happy, but she's not. Why isn't she happy? She sees the happy smiles on her classmates faces and wonder why she can't seem to muster up a smile. There must be something wrong with her. Because for some godforsaken reason she can't fucking be happy. No matter what she does. She watches her classmates converse, like nothing in the world is wrong and everything is beautiful. It's all wrong. All of this is wrong. All of this is wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
She can't even be happy. Why? Her life is good. Better than most people's lives! It could be worse. She could be dead, she could be homeless. She could be missing! Oh god, why can't she be happy. She can't help but feel an ounce of hatred every time she sees a smile another one of her classmates smiling faces. Every time she's with her friends, all she feels is envy.
They're happy. And Bianca, no matter how hard she tries. No matter how hard she tries to pretend she is, she'll never be happy. People like her aren't meant to be happy. Everyone else is happy, why can't she be? It's Halloween, one of the most festive times in the year. Halloween used to be her favourite Holiday. She can't fathom why celebrating it doesn't make her happy anymore.
She clenches her fists as she walks down the hallways. Avoiding jocks and cheerleaders left and right. Her shoulders are tense with a heaviness that she can't place. She's hunched over, trying to avoid being seen as much as possible. A jock catches her eye, a look in his eyes telling her that he's spotted her. She can't breathe for a second. She just stares at her feet on the ground blankly.
The jock is walking closer to her now. Some guy on the football team who made fun of her during Will's funeral. She can't for the life of her remember his name. Her shoulders tense up further. She stares down at her feet more tensely, like that would somehow make her disappear and never return. She knows things don't work like that. You just.. can't go missing for no reason.
She feels a jolt of panic as the jock begins to speak. But she can't make out his words, when all she feels is panic. Her ears are ringing, and the boy is laughing. He's laughing. At her. And a couples of seconds pass and it feels like everyone's laughing at her. She blinks hollowly. Her mind can't process any of their words, all she hears is static.
The static is deafening. But she can the jocks laughing as some of the popular kids pass by. A concerned Nancy Wheeler is dragged away by a frazzled looking Steve Harrington. They make eye contact for a second, and she can't breathe again. She can hear the bell ringing again. And everything stops.
Seconds pass and she's standing in the hallway alone. Everyone's gone to class. How long had she been standing there for? She turns around, staring at her surroundings in confusion. She squeezes her eyes shut, praying that maybe she was just seeing things again. Hallucinations, things that weren't real. Dr. Owens called them her paranoia making itself known. Apparently she has the most severe case of it he's seen yet.
Her eyes are still squeezed shut. She opens her eyes and she's in a room. She takes a minute to realize that she's in Ms. Kelley's room. She sees the guidance counsellor's eyes soften, as she stared at her inn concern, there's a familiar pamphlet on her table that Bianca's seen before. She's been in this room too many times to count.
Ms. Kelley smiles at her softly in concern. Bianca immediately grimaces in response. "Mr. Anderson tells me that your grades have been slipping in his English class lately. That's not normal for you." The woman's voice shifts into a concerned tone. A tone that her mom uses often. Bianca nods grimly. "Yeah.." She trails off, trying to avoid Ms. Kelley's eyes.
The older woman sighs. "And you're avoiding eye contact. That's not normal for you." She can feel her mouth go dry. Bianca tries to find the words to explain herself, but she can't. She can feel all of her words dying in her throat. "I... yeah. Just.. a rough day." She manages to strangle out, swallowing dryly. The woman nods, like she understands her. "How you've been holding up.. since." She already knows what's she's going to say.
Bianca sighs. "Since my little brother came back from the dead?" She muttered sarcastically. Ms. Kelley laughed slightly. "Yes, exactly. Your feelings about thinking he was dead are valid.. for a second there we all thought he was dead." Bianca's silent again, she doesn't know what to say to that. She knows that Ms. Kelley is only trying to help, but it only makes her feel worse.
She shakes her head slightly at the older woman. "I don't wanna talk about it." She mutters out quietly. Ms. Kelley nods hesitantly. "Right.." She trails off. "It's not every day your brother comes back from the dead. You don't know how to learn to unmourn. So worried something else bad will happen to him again." Bianca's shoulders tense up slightly. Ms. Kelley sighs. "I can't help you if you don't tell me how to help you Bianca."
She's quiet and tight-lipped. She shakes her head at Ms. Kelley again. "No, no." She mutters, taking a breath before speaking again. "I don't even understand myself. How can I tell you when I don't even know.. me?" The urge to shrink in on herself grows with every waking moment the counsellor stares at her with concern. "Biancaโ you have to try." The woman's voice comes out concerned and worried.
But something in her just snaps. "No! No." She shouts. "I have been trying. I've been trying for sixteen years." Her fists clench the fabric of her skirt tightly as she scrunches her face off in unfamiliar anger. She isn't familiar with being angry, it takes a lot for Bianca to be truly angry at someone. She doesn't know why she's angry at Ms. Kelley. Maybe she's not angry at her at all. Maybe she's just angry at everything else.
She knows she shouldn't be struggling. She has friends, family, a car, albeit even if it's a nearly broke down one. And she's not rich but they're making it by. She should be grateful. She knows some people have it much worse than she does. She just can control her emotions sometimes. And she doesn't know what to do wiht that. Ms. Kelley sighs. "Oh, Bianca." Her voice is soft and worried.
She can feel bitter tears build up in her eyes. "I'm sorry Ms. Kelley. I don't know what got into me.." The woman sighs, shaking her head at him. "No, it's alright honey. Really. Emotions are normal. You know that, right? It's not your fault." Something in her just breaks at that. It's not your fault. She keeps repeating it over and over again in her head. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault.
She's not sure if anyone's ever said that to her before. She swallows down her emotions and nods stiffly. "Thank you.. Ms. Kelley. But I'm okay." The woman doesn't look convinced, but she nods. "Fine, but I'll be needing you to come back in to see me some other time. Alright?" She nods tensely, frowning slightly. Ms. Kelley musters up a smile at her as she stands up to leave the room.
She discovers she's nearly missed the eternity of English as she scrambles into the classroom. She slams the door open. The entire class shoots their heads over to look at her as she stiffly goes to sit down in her seat. She can see Delaney and Rowan exchanging concerned glances at her. But she ignores them, staring down hard at her empty desk. She sits down stiffly, Mr. Anderson frowned slightly at her.
And she feels a sudden pit inside of her stomach. Rowan attempts to catch her eye as she sits down, but she tries her best to ignore him. She can't explain any of this to her friends. She was sure they wouldn't get it. Not many people really got her like that. She didn't want to scare them away. That was the last thing she wanted, even if she had to keep them out of the loop.
Bianca shuts her eyes. Her eyelashes batting softly with exhaustion. She hasn't gotten sleep in ages, a bad habit that she's gotten used to as of late. But it seems to be getting worse every day. She could mange it before, but now she's unsure. She leans her head on top of her English book slightly as she wordlessly watches Mr. Anderson lecture them on something she didn't listen to.
Rowan attempts to catch her eye again. He has this worried frown on his face, that leaves her feeling sick and guilty. She tries to muster up a reassuring smile to him, but by the way his face fell she thinks that she just made it worse. The rest of the day goes by in a haze. English ends with some poetry homework about Edgar Allen whatever his name is, and reminders to take out a new library book for their next assignment.
She avoids Rowan's gaze like the plague, and tells Jonathan that she just needs to use the washroom when he catches her in the halls. Nancy catches her eye in the bathroom mirror, but she doesn't say anything. She immediately curses herself out. Seriously? She could have run into anyone else, like literally anyone else. Bianca avoids her gaze as she pretends to be fixing her hair.
Nancy clears her throat awkwardly. Bianca immediately grimaces. What does she want? She spared Nancy a look, blinking softly in confusion. There was a shared childhood between them, and now Bianca could barely stand to look at her. She wasn't sure how Nancy even managed to get Jonathan to even think about going to that party. He shoved the invite into his backpack, he told her he probably wasn't going to go.
The two of them would be too busy watching Will and the rest of the party anyways. A group pubescent preteens boys and one token girl that Finn Harrington was friends with. Bianca noticed how the other boys didn't really seem to include the girl like they did each other. It reminded Bianca painfully as lot like herself. She was glad the kid had Finn to stand up for her. Despite his asshole brother, Finn Harrington is a good kid. He's good to Will, and that's all that matters to Bianca.
Nancy clears her throat again. "Um.. Bianca. I'm.. really sorry for what happened out there. In the hallways." She muttered out anxiously. She nods slowly, mouth dry. "Yeah." She mutters out short lipped. She's not excited at the prospect of talking to Nancy right now. She'd much rather be talking to anyone else. She'd even take talking to Billy Hargrove. The new guy in school who was apparently going to replace Steve. She found that hard to believe, but really. Anything could happen in Hawkins.
Nancy looked nervous, she was playing with the sleeves of her shirt awkwardly. "So.. uh. How you've been.. since last year?" She said the last party quieter than the first. Bianca holds in the urge to sigh deeply. She shrugs dismissively at her. "I don't know. Fine, I guess." Nancy nods. "Yeah, you must have been worried for Will, huh?" She nodded. "Yeah. Mike really missed him. He cried on my shoulder actually. While you and Jonathan were..." She trails off.
She leaves out the part about Nancy and Jonathan hurting the Demogorgan together, and she wonders if Nancy ever talked about her to him. She probably wouldn't believe it if it was true. Back then she and Rowan were investigating Will's disappearance. She had been so determined that he was alive. She was a wreck when they saw his dead body out there in the lake. She didn't come out of her room for hours.
She only came out once Mike and the other kids begged her too. They said they needed her. And she couldn't let them down. At the time, those kids were the only thing left of Will left. Notably Finn hadn't been allowed to go with the other kids to look for Will because of his brother. He had only managed to sneak out when they found.. Eleven. The poor kid who sacrificed her life so Will could be here right now.
Nancy sighed deeply. "I.. I've just been.. wanting to apologize to you." Bianca swerves her head around to really look a her. "What?" Her voice comes out a lot more harsh than she meant it to.ย She can see a flash of panic on Nancy's features. She frowns even deeper. There was a silence that rang out between the two girls for a second. Classes were already over, it would be so easy for her to just leave.
But she can't. Something in her just won't let her. She takes a deep breath in and stares Nancy down in the eyes. "Look, I really don't care for your apologies right now. I really appreciate it. But you.. ditched me. And nothing can change that Nancy. Nothing." She can see the hopeful look on the other girl's face fade. Nancy tried to interrupt her. "Bianca- come on. I'm sorry. I miss you."
Bianca frowned, staring at the other girl blankly. "I gotta go." She muttered lowly, hurrying out of the washroom before Nancy could follow her.

BIANCA WATCHED as her twin brother held the video camera up in front of Bob Newby's face. Bob Newby was their mom's new boyfriend. He had been the first guy she dated in years.. and he made mom happy. Really happy. She was glad her mom had someone who made her happy, nothing else mattered to her. Jonathan seemed to believe the latter. From what she could tell, he didn't trust Bob. Bob grinned at them, clad in a very extra vampire costume.
He was instructing Jonathan on how to use the video camera. "So you hit T to zoom in, and W zooms back out." He instructed. The older man looked at the twins. "See? Easy-peasy." He muttered to Jonathan, who set the video camera down and frowned slightly. Bianca tried to smile. "Nice." Bob nodded, grinning widely at her. "Just make sure to turn off the power to save energy there." He told her brother as the three of them looked at the camera. Bianca stared at it in awe. "Whoa, cool." She muttered under her breath. The video camera even showed the date and time the video was being filmed in real time.
Bob nodded at her in agreement. "Right?" He patted her on the shoulder, and Bianca felt a sense of safety that she had never be able to feel around an older man before. But Bob was different. Bob was nice, and kind. And he let Jonathan and Bianca pick what movies they wanted to watch when he came over for movie night. He had gotten Bianca a diary for her late birthday gift, thought her birthday was months ago.
He insisted that she deserved it. She had never felt so safe with a man before. He was nothing like her father. Her father who'd just tell her to starve herself if she asked him for lunch. Not Bob who constantly bought her and Will snacks when he came over. Will and Bianca liked Bob well enough to trust that he could take care of Mom, but Jonathan seemed deadset on finding out if this guy was bad news or not.
Meanwhile their mom was helping Will put back his Halloween costume on. Slinging his proton blaster onto his back softly. Bianca's hair was back in their braids from earlier, black ribbons at the bottom holding her braids together. She pulled her jacket against her shoulders a little closer to keep it from getting loose. Mom was lecturing Will as Bianca's tucked in a loose shoelace from her loafer.
Their mom was watching Will closely. "Listen, stay close to your brother and sister, okay?" She fixed the back of his proton blaster again slightly. Will stared at his mom, clearly unhappy that he had to trick or trick with his two older siblings watching him like a hawk. "And listen, listen, listen.." Mom continued, grabbing her brother by the shoulders. "If you get a bad feeling or anything, you tell them to take you straight home."
Joyce gave Will a concerned look. "You promise?" Will nodded, sighing slightly. "Okay." He said. Bianca smiled slightly as she and Jonathan walked over to their little brother. "Are you ready, bud?" He asked their much shorter brother softly. Will nodded. "Yeah." Bianca grinned at him. "Awesome. Let's get as much candy as we can, alright?" Will smiled half-heartedly as they walked towards the front door. "Yeah." He nodded.
Bianca hummed. "You excited to go out with your friends?" She asked. Will nodded quietly. "Yeah, we're matching this year." She smiled gently at her baby brother. "That's sounds awesome bud." As they walked out the door, their mother called out from behind them. "Be safe!" She yelled, Bob was holding their moms hand reassuringly. Even he could tell how anxious she got whenever they sent Will outside.
Bob waved at them from the door. "I hope it doesn't suck!" He yelled out to them, in a very dramatic Dracula voice. Bianca snorted slightly, while Will had to hold her hand behind her mouth. Jonathan sighed deeply, mentally rolling his eyes. A couple of minutes later they were driving in Jonathan's car. As they trekked down the road her twin finally spoke. "I just don't get what she sees in him." He muttered frustratedly.
Will stared at their brother from the backseat in confusion. Bianca held in the urge to sigh. "What?" Will mutters in confusion. Jonathan sighs, like it's obvious. "Bob." He mutters. Bianca frowned. "He makes mom happy, Jon." She sighs. Will nods in agreement. "At least he doesn't treat me differently." He muttered. "I mean I can't even go trick-or-treating by myself. It's lame." He huffed.
Jonathan tried to life their brother's spirits. "What? You think we're lame?" Bianca narrowed an eyebrow. "No not me, maybe you though." She snorted, Jonathan rolled his eyes at his sister fondly. "Ha, ha very funny." He mumbled. Will shrugged. "No, you guys aren't lame. But it's not like Nancy's coming to watch over Mike, you know?" He said. Jonathan sighed, Bianca went silent and nodded stiffly.
The rest of the drive over to the Wheeler's house was relatively quiet. Bianca felt a pit of sympathy in her stomach for her little brother. She'd be upset if she had her older siblings have to watch her on Halloween too.. She could hear Dustin Henderson yelling out Will's name as they drove to the front of the Wheeler's house where three boys were walking out of.
Jonathan honked his horn at the boys as they drove closer. Bianca grimaced as she fixed her skirt again. Jonathan stopped the car, pulling his eyes out of the car quickly. The twins sighed as they looked at each other, matching concerned looks on their faces. Will was about to get out of the car before Jonathan stopped him. "Hey, listen." He and Bianca shared a look. They didn't even need to talk to know what it meant.
Jonathan took a deep breath in. "If we let you go on your own, you promise to stay in the neighborhood?" He asked. With just a look sometimes she could know what her brother was thinking, and they both agreed that the best thing for Will tonight was to be a normal kid. He deserved it after all the shit he went through. And it also meant that the two of them were out of doing babysitting duty tonight.
She was slightly relieved no one would have to see her in this outfit. Will's grin that lit up the entire car made their compromise worth it. "Yeah! Yeah. yeah totally." He grinned at his two older siblings excitedly. Bianca sighed in relief. "Okay, good. But you have to be back at Mike's by 9:00, okay?" She asked him. Will smirked slightly. "9:30?" He bargained.
Bianca and Jonathan exchanged a look. "9:00." Jonathan insisted with a shake of his head. Will nodded, still happy he was even being allowed go to with his friends alone. "Yeah." He said. "Deal?" Jonathan asked, holding his hand out. Will immediately shook his hand and nodded. "Yeah, deal." He said excitedly as he shook his sister's hand. "Pleasure doing business with you sir." She tipped her fake hat at him.
Jonathan nodded, smiling softly at their little brother as he opened back car door. "All right." He said. Bianca could see three other kids in star wars costumes walking out to meet the other three in ghostbuster costumes. The only girl of the group met Bianca's eyes, and she waved at her kindly. As Will stepped out of the car, Jonathan handed him the video camera. "Hey, don't let any of your spazzy friends use this, all right?" He told him seriously.
Will nodded, still grinning as he quickly took the camera from him. "Okay." Jonathan grinned as Will walked out. "I hope it doesn't suck." He muttered, imitating Bob's Dracula from earlier. This time Bianca couldn't stop herself from bursting out laughing. "That joke is so stupid oh my god.." Jonathan snorted. "I know!" He muttered.
She watched happily as Will ran out to meet his friends. Lucas, Mike, Dustin and Will were wearing Ghostbusters costumes. While Cory, Finn and Xander wore very convincing star wars costumes. Bianca shut the car door Will forgot to close behind him with a sigh. She then turned to look at her brother. "What now?" She asked him in confusion. He didn't answer her right away, instead he rummaged through his pockets to grab something.
Bianca narrowed an eyebrow at her twin in confusion. "What are youโ" Jonathan unwrapped the bright orange paper. "I've got some idea." He muttered as he entered his car keys back into the car. "How do you feel about crashing a party?" He asked. Bianca's eyes widened significantly. "That doesn't sound like a bad idea." She nodded slightly.
As soon as they stepped into the party, they were met with the strange stench of alcohol. Bianca grimaced slightly, wrinkling her nose in disgust. A familiar smell reminding her of when their Das used to live with them. Bianca couldn't get the smell of alcohol out of her nose for ages after their dad moved out. "Do you think Delaney and Rowan are here?" She whispered as they made their way to the front of the house.
Her brother shrugged helplessly response. "I don't know. Guess we'll find out." He muttered as they stepped into the house. Bianca stared in awe of how crowded this house really was. She had never been to any parties before, so this would be her first one. Loud music played in the background as teenagers around their age danced and held beers in their hands.
Bianca shifted uncomfortably around the room as her brother tried to make his way through the crowd. Jonathan stopped moving, when a pretty girl in heavy black and white makeup looked at him. Her costume looked like one for those rock and roll band members makeup. "Nice costume." She muttered to Jonathan. Her brother blinked in confusion, she hit his arm to get him to respond to her. "Huh?" He muttered. "Nice costume." The girl repeated.
Her brother's eyes widened in understanding. "Oh, uh, yeah. I'm going as a guy who hates parties." He joked. The girl laughed at that. Maybe her brother wasn't a lost cause after all. "I'm Samantha." The girl smiled at him. "Uh, Jonathan." Her brother responded. The girl's eyes landed on Bianca finally. "Wednesday Addams costume? I like it." Bianca blushed slightly. "Oh. thank you. Most of it is is my mom's soโ"
The girl grinned at her. "No. no. Really it looks great." Bianca gave her an awkward smile. "Thanks." She muttered. She looked over back at her brother, to see he was staring right at Steve Harrington dancing with a very drunk Nancy Wheeler. Bianca felt her hands clench at her dress instinctively. She frowned and walked back from the crowd. "Excuse me for a second.." She told her brother as she walked farther out into the crowd.
As she pushed through the crowd, Jonathan gave her a worried glance. But she didn't look back at him once. As she pushed her way through the crowds, she could see a very drunk Nancy with Steve at her heels walking over to the punch table. Bianca narrowed an eyebrow in concern. The girl seemed shitfaced, while for once her boyfriend was being the responsible one.
That was the first time that she felt an ounce of sympathy for Steve Harrington. She'd rather die than deal with a drunk Nancy. Once when they were kids, Nancy had gotten the idea to try a bottle of her Dad's whisky. She was so sure that they wouldn't get caught, even if they tried some of it. Bianca was too scared to try, so Nancy tried some first so she wouldn't be scared.
That ended in Bianca's being punished for an entire week after they got caught with a very buzzed Nancy attempting to get her back to the Wheeler house. Over the years she wasn't sure why she kept going along with whatever Nancy did. She was her best friend, it was no question about that. She would have done anything for her. Now it just feels like Nancy Wheeler is somebody that she used to know.
Bianca pushes through the crowd, in an attempt to get to the washroom so she doesn't have to deal with running into anybody at this party. God, this was a bad idea. She reached the edge of the crowd finally, she could hear gasping from behind her. She turned around in confusion at the sight of Nancy Wheeler dropping clearly spiked punch all over her white shirt.
Bianca grimaced in sympathy. Rushing to the bathroom while the crowd was distracted. She could hear Steve calling after Nancy as she ran away. She shuffled through the crowd, slipping unnoticed inside of the bathroom. This was a bad idea. She should have never come. Why did she let Jonathan into talking her to coming with him? She could have been at home eating a bag full of candy with Will right now.
She'd rather be anywhere else but here. Bianca held her head in her hands as she crouched down to sit inside the bathtub. She slid down to stare up at the ceiling blankly. She frowned to herself. Shoving the bathtub's curtains down so no one could see her. She highly doubted that anyone would come in at all. Normal people would be partying and having fun. This was a party. Parties are supposed to be fun.
But none of this is fun, and she can't fathom why none of this makes her happy. She loves her brother but he shouldn't have invited her. Fucking Tina didn't even want her here, and this was her party! God, she's so stupid. She sniffles, why was she crying? She shouldn't be crying. None of this is that big of a deal. She shouldn't be crying. All of a sudden she can hear her father's mocking in her head again.
Crybaby, crybaby. He always called her a crybaby. She didn't want to be a crybaby! Why is she like this?
Her thoughts are interrupted but a hard slamming open of the bathroom door. Interrupting Bianca's escapade in the bathroom. She moves back to his further inside of the curtains in fear. Shit. Somebody from school must have caught her in her. She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for someone to open the curtains and see her. But it didn't happen.
She hesitantly opened her eyes. She could faintly see two silhouettes from the curtains. She blinked in confusion as she perked up in confusion. What the hell? She thought to herself. All of a sudden she could a familiar voice yelling in frustration. "Bullshit!"

AAAAH. We are so back โผ๏ธ Bianca is back baby. Hope you guys enjoyed reading. Leaving this on a cliffhanger felt too silly to pass up. This entire chapter is Bianca suffering I fear. She was doing so well at first, and it just slowly begins to break down. It's needed character development, I apologize in advance for the pain I might cause in the future. We are so back, I finally got the motivation to start writing for this again. The next part of the party chapter will be out soon.
We got lil cameos of the kiddos!! They're very cutsey. Bianca's usually their babysitter but they're growing out of her which is sad. They're not gonna find her cool anymore and that's gonna effect her at some point because during s1 she's very close with the party because of Will's disappearance. Anyways, hope yall enjoyed. Toodles <3
