it was finally saturday, so taehyung had invited jimin to help him around 4 o'clock to start planning his look for the date with jeongguk later that night.

him and jimin were now standing side by side in his closet, searching through the clothes.

"how about...this?" jimin asked, holding up a white button up and a brown button up sweater. he also had some nice black pants and white shoes.

(a/n: pretend he still has his black hair and mullet lol)

"yes please!" he said, laying it out on his bed.

"okay. want me to curl your hair?" jimin asked.

taehyung nodded, so they went into the bathroom. taehyung sat on the toilet seat while jimin plugged in the curling iron.

"are you excited?" jimin asked with a smile.

"mhm! i miss him. since he had a doctors appointment during lunch yesterday i didn't get to see him at all." taehyung pouted.

"i'm sorry taehyungie. you'll see him in a couple of hours!" jimin responded.

taehyung nodded, smiling widely.

jimin grabbed the curling iron and started to curl strands of taehyung's hair, as well as his mullet. the curls weren't too intense, just to give it texture.

he added a bit of hairspray that wouldn't be too sticky or stiff once he was finished, clapping his hands. "all done! makeup time." jimin said.

taehyung shook his head, smiling. "i'm not gonna wear any makeup, just some lipgloss and mascara." he said, applying the mascara and putting the lipgloss in his pocket.

"oh okay! well then let's get you changed." jimin said.

once taehyung was in his outfit, they went downstairs to greet jin and namjoon. they were sitting on the couch, cuddling and reading together.

"aw, taehyung you look so good!" jin said as they entered the living room.

"thank you." he said shyly.

"what movie are they playing again?" namjoon asked curiously.

"the goonies, honey. i told you earlier." jin said, looking up at him.

"oh yeah, sorry. i'm getting old." he sighed.

"hey! i'm older than you and i remembered. that's an insult to my age." jin said.

namjoon rolled his eyes, flicking jin's forehead.

jimin and taehyung giggled, watching the interaction go down between the couple.

"okay so. here's this." jimin said, handing taehyung a condom.

he gasped, quickly dropping it on the counter. "jimin!"

"what?? drive in movies are very romantic and people usually end up having sex. i know i did with hoseok and yoongi." he said, giggling.

taehyung scoffed, flicking the condom back towards jimin. "i'm not having sex with jeongguk."

"that's what you think. just take it." jimin said, winking.

taehyung frowned, putting it in his pocket.

the doorbell rang, causing taehyung to gasp.

"oh, go go go!" jimin said, pushing him towards the door.

taehyung quickly applied his lipgloss as he shuffled to the door, putting it in his pocket and opening the door.

jeongguk stood on the doorstep, he had some weirdly patterned and fitted jeans on and a big white long sleeved shirt. it looked so cozy.

"hi." taehyung said shyly.

"hi baby, ready to go?" he asked, smiling widely.

he nodded, saying goodbye to everyone else in the house before stepping out onto the porch and closing the door behind him.

jeongguk grabbed his hand, and taehyung realized he didn't have his crutches.

"are you able to walk on your boot now?" he asked.

jeongguk nodded with a big smile. "yep! it's so relieving. the crutches were hurting my armpits." he muttered.

taehyung giggled, and they got into jeongguk's car. soft instrumental music was playing on a cd jeongguk had, the windows rolled down as he drove towards the drive in.

"look in the back." jeongguk said.

taehyung turned in his seat, gasping as he saw the back seats put down and a soft blanket laying over them, fairy lights strung up against the sides and a small picnic basket pushed into the corner. there were pillows and extra blankets as well.

"wow, jeongguk it looks amazing!" he said with a smile.

"i tried making it as cozy as possible." he said, laughing.

they pulled up to the drive in, parking with the trunk facing the projector. jeongguk turned off the car and popped the trunk, getting out and going around to open taehyung's door for him.

"oh, thank you." he said with a smile.

they crawled into the back, sitting on the blanket as jeongguk turned on the fairy lights, illuminating the small space.

taehyung smiled, leaning in and giving jeongguk a soft kiss.

the older smiled, kissing him back before pulling away. "what was that for?" he asked.

taehyung shrugged, still smiling.

jeongguk laughed, opening the picnic basket.

"okay, this is what we have.... so for our drinks, we have sunny d and apple juice." he started to say, showing off the small plastic bottles filled with the drinks.

taehyung giggled, nodding. "what else?" he asked excitedly.

"we have chocolate animal crackers, popcorn, goldfish, pretzels, and strawberries!" he said, laying them all out.

"wow! this is so fancy! you didn't have to spoil me so much." taehyung said, gasping.

"i'd do anything for a cutie like you." jeongguk said, booping his nose.

taehyung blushed, unable to hide his grin.

jeongguk put everything back in the basket except for the sunny d and some popcorn, which they snacked on as the movie started.

taehyung was laying beside jeongguk, head on his shoulder while they fed each other popcorn.

"i love this movie." taehyung sighed, staring at the projector.

"me too, no matter how old i am or how old the movie is, it's always so good." jeongguk said, holding another piece of popcorn up to taehyung's lips.

taehyung ate it gratefully, grabbing a handful and holding in front of jeongguk with a small smile.

"oh, thank you." jeongguk said, opening his mouth and making loud chewing noises as he tried to fit all the popcorn in his mouth.

taehyung giggled, watching as he made a mess. "ah! you got spit all over my hand!" taehyung whined, wiping it on jeongguk's shirt.

"hey, don't wipe it on me!" jeongguk said with a frown.

"too late!" taehyung replied, grinning mischievously.

jeongguk leaned over and licked taehyung's cheek, causing him to gasp. "hey! not fair." he pouted, using his sleeve to wipe off the spit.

"ha! i got my revenge." jeongguk said.

taehyung rolled his eyes, snuggling up to jeongguk and watching the movie.

the movie was just a little over halfway finished, and jeongguk and taehyung were now eating strawberries.

"hey, what's that babe?" jeongguk asked, pointing to something beside taehyung and reaching over to pick it up.

taehyung blushed when he saw what was in his hands. it must've fallen out of his pocket.

the condom.

he quickly snatched it away, putting it back in his pocket.

"it's nothing!"

jeongguk was blushing a bit as well, but an amused smile was on his face.

"were you planning on something tonight?" he asked, raising a playful eyebrow.

"n-no! jimin gave it to me and i told him i wasn't going to use it and that we weren't gonna have sex but then he told me to use it anyways because you never know and-"

jeongguk cut him off with a kiss, taehyung immediately melting into it and kissing him back.

"baby i'm just teasing you. i figured jimin gave that to you." he said, smiling softly.

taehyung blushed, staring shyly into jeongguk's eyes.

"sorry..." he squeaked.

"it's okay, come here." he said.

taehyung immediately climbed into his lap, laying his back against jeongguk's chest and looking at the projector.

jeongguk had his arms around taehyung, a blanket encasing the both of them as they quietly paid attention to the movie.

"thank you for tonight." taehyung whispered, looking up at jeongguk.

jeongguk smiled, leaning in and kissing him gently. "you're welcome." he murmured against the kiss. he felt soft hands cup his face, and taehyung kissing him back.

they stopped paying attention to the movie, only focusing on each other.

their faces were red from intimacy, taehyung moving so he was straddling jeongguk's lap.

the soft smack of their lips could be heard as they kissed, jeongguk's arms wrapped tightly around his boyfriends waist.

taehyung hooked his arms around jeongguk's neck, pulling himself closer.

they kissed for a few more minutes before pulling away, both of them breathless and their lips red and swollen.

jeongguk could taste taehyung's coconut lipgloss and the faint sweetness of strawberries, and taehyung giggled as he saw the glittery substance smeared all over jeongguk's lips.

"what?" he asked.

taehyung just kept giggling, putting his hand over his mouth.

"babe! what's so funny??" he asked with a pout.

"you have glitter all over your face!" he said, hiccuping from all the laughter.

jeongguk chuckled, rubbing taehyung's back and gently patting it to help him with his hiccups.

"you look like you-hup!-kissed a unicorn." taehyung pointed out.

"are you secretly a unicorn?" jeongguk asked, smiling.

"hup!-i don't know!"

taehyung's body jumped with each hiccup, causing jeongguk to laugh and kiss him once more. "hold your breath baby." he said, rubbing his back again.

taehyung did as he said, his hiccups muffled since his mouth was closed. after about thirty seconds he took a breath, and waited.

"i think they're gone now." he said.

"okay cutie." jeongguk whispered, leaning in and kissing him again.

taehyung kissed him back, blushing.

"HUP!"
