chapter ten ♡!

"come on!!!" jimin said, tugging taehyung out of his bed.

"jiminie stop! i'm trying to nap, let me sleep." he whined, holding tightly onto his sheets to keep him atop of his mattress.

"jeongguk will be there."

taehyung's eyes flew open, he turned and sat up to look at jimin. "r-really??" he asked, his heart fluttering at just the thought of the older boy.

this whole week jeongguk had been walking him to class, his hand always resting on either the small of his back or his waist.

they'd ask each other about their morning or what they were planning on doing after school, or talk about their current class assignments.

"earth to taehyung."

"s-sorry, what?" he asked, looking up at his best friend.

jimin giggled, patting taehyung's head and pulling him into a hug. "you're so cute taehyungie! let's get you ready!!" jimin said, kissing his cheek before running over to taehyung's closet.

the younger smiled, following jimin as they looked for an outfit.

jimin and taehyung had been inseparable since they were babies, always doing things together. their bond was super strong, and nothing ever got in the way of their friendship. not even when jimin would get a boyfriend and now in this case, boyfriends.

he'd still make time for taehyung, even if it meant bringing him along on dates with yoongi and hoseok.

they loved each other dearly and wouldn't ask for anyone else to be their best friend. sometimes they would be mistaken for a couple because they were always holding hands and kissing each other's cheeks but it was simply platonic, their love and admiration for each other so strong.

"how about this?" jimin questioned, holding up a pair of white shorts and a pretty lilac sweater.

taehyung nodded happily, taking the outfit and skipping into the bathroom. jimin had wanted to bring taehyung bowling with him and his boyfriends, and jeongguk.

as taehyung was changing he gasped, having the perfect idea.

"jinnie!!" he called out.

his brother came up the stairs, into his room. "what?" he asked.

taehyung appeared out of the bathroom, running up to his brother. "jinnie hyung, wanna come bowling with us?? you can invite namjoonie hyung too!! please!!" taehyung said, tugging on his brothers hands.

jin looked down at him, biting his lip.

"i don't know taehyung, he might be busy." jin said.

"please!!! it'll be fun. even if he doesn't go you can still have fun, we all love you!! and you have to call him first to know if he's busy or not!!" taehyung said, wrapping his arms around jin's waist and begging him with his puppy dog eyes.

"fine. i'll call him." jin said with a sigh, unable to resist his adorable brother.

"yay!!" taehyung said, hugging him tightly before pulling away.

jin walked downstairs, finding his phone and scrolling through his contacts to namjoon's number. he hesitated for a second before clicking call, waiting as the line rung.

"hey, jin. what's up?" namjoon's deep voice asked through the phone, causing a blush to cover jin's cheeks and turn his ears red.

"i was wondering if you wanted to come bowling with us? taehyung and his friends want me to go as well. and taehyung asked me to ask you." jin explained, biting his lip as he leaned against the kitchen counter.

"that sounds like a lot of fun. sure, i'll go. what time?" he asked.

"in about twenty minutes. is that too soon?" jin asked nervously.

"no, no. it's perfectly fine. i'm not doing anything anyways so i'll be ready in a few minutes." namjoon reassured.

"okay, we'll meet you there!" jin said happily, a big smile on his face.

"see you soon cutie." namjoon said before hanging up, making jin blush even harder.

"they said they're on their way, calm down." yoongi said, watching jeongguk nervously stare at the door.

"sorry." he muttered, looking down at his hands.

"why are you so nervous?" hoseok asked, smirking.

"it's because he has a massive crush on taehyung." yoongi said, snickering when jeongguk blushed and flipped him off.

"hoseokie! yoonie!!"

the two mentioned boys perked up, smiling when they saw their boyfriend. they stood up, jimin running over to them and kissing them both.

jeongguk watched as taehyung and his brother entered the bowling alley, kicking off their shoes and walking up to the counter to get bowling shoes.

"why is mr. kim here?" hoseok asked curiously, watching as he entered the bowling alley as well.

"him and jin kind of have a thing and taehyung insisted we invite him." jimin explained, giggling.

jin and taehyung walked over, sitting down and greeting everyone.

"jin, your man is here!" jimin whispered, nudging him. he blushed, standing up again and walking over to namjoon.

"hi taehyung." jeongguk said with a smile, the younger boy blushing immediately.

"h-hi ggukie." he replied, wearing a shy smile of his own.

jeongguk's tummy did flips as he watched him smile, feeling unbelievably infatuated with this boy.

"how has your day been?" he asked, moving so he was sitting next to him rather than across from him.

"um, kind of boring. i was napping before we came." he admitted shyly.

jeongguk laughed, ruffling his hair. "cute." he said, taehyung's cheeks becoming redder.

"who's ready to roll some balls??" jimin asked excitedly, causing everyone to laugh at the statement, all of them taking it inappropriately.

taehyung was giggling loudly, holding his tummy from laughing so much as jimin just stood there, blushing deeply.

"shut up! you know what i meant." he said, walking over to the console and entering their names.

"jeongguk, you're up first!" jimin said, sitting down in between his boyfriends.

"alrighty." he said, standing up and rolling up his sleeves, taehyung blushing deeply as his eyes stared at the veins popping out of his forearms.

jeongguk picked up a ball, holding it out in front of him slightly before stepping forward, the ball swinging back at the same time before he threw it skillfully down the lane. he looked like a professional bowler you'd see on tv.

his ball rolled down the side, curving slightly and hitting the side of the head pin, knocking down every one except for the pin to the far left.

taehyung's eyes widened as he clapped for jeongguk, everyone else doing the same. "wow, jeongguk's a pro!" hoseok said.

"good job ggukie!" taehyung said.

jeongguk smiled softly, waiting for his ball to come back. he picked it up, moving to the right a bit before doing the same thing, the ball going down the middle more and curving into the last pin, knocking it down.

they all cheered and clapped for him, watching as jeongguk smirked smugly.

soon enough it was taehyung's turn, and he slowly walked up to the front and picked up a pink ball. he stared at the lane in front of him, not knowing what to do.

he felt everyones eyes on him, and then he felt as if everybody else in the other lanes were watching him, too.

he felt his anxiety rise, his heartbeat picking up and his lip trembling from the pressure. his eyes started to get glassy, his body freezing.

"here, i'll show you." a soft voice whispered in his ear, a hand on his waist. it was jeongguk.

taehyung's breathing hitched, feeling a bit calmer now that he wasn't alone.

"it's okay, taehyung. no one is judging you." he spoke softly, as if he knew exactly what the younger boy was thinking. taehyung nodded softly, his racing heart slowing down to a normal pace.

jeongguk guided his hands to the ball, making sure his fingers were in the holes and that he had a good posture.

"okay, now take three steps forward, make sure your arm is moving back at the same time. don't look at the pins, look at the arrows on the lane. aim for the third arrow from the right, okay? keep your wrist flat." jeongguk explained.

taehyung nodded, taking a deep breath. jeongguk stepped away, watching as taehyung did as he said and rolled the ball down the lane.

the entire group watched in anticipation as it rolled down, hitting the head pin. he had gotten a strike.

"oh my gosh! i did it!" taehyung said, jumping up and down. jeongguk grinned, eyes widening in surprise when taehyung turned around and ran into his arms, hugging him tightly.

"thank you." he said softly.

"you're welcome, tae." jeongguk replied with a wide smile, holding him close.

throughout the night jeongguk kept giving taehyung tips, the boy doing exceptionally well and even getting a few strikes.

namjoon and jin were all over each other, holding hands and sitting close, even kissing the others cheek a few times while jimin, yoongi, and hoseok were constantly bickering and being overly competitive.

they were all trying to do better than the other, and it was a funny sight to see.

"taehyungie lets go get more pop!!" jimin said, grabbing his best friends hand and pulling him up.

"i have to pee!!" taehyung whined in protest.

"okay, hurry!" jimin said, running over to the bathroom with him.

"you and taehyung are getting along really well." namjoon said to jeongguk, grinning.

jeongguk blushed softly, nodding. "yeah, i guess so." he said, watching as yoongi rolled the ball down the lane grandma style.

"yes!! good job babe!!" hoseok shouted, yoongi blushing and flipping him off. they had given up being competitive after they realized they were all pretty shit at bowling.

it was namjoon's turn, so he stood up and grabbed his ball, getting ready to roll it when suddenly it slipped off his fingers and fell to the ground with a thud.

everyone jumped, watching as he sheepishly picked it up. "sorry.." he muttered. jin was laughing his ass off, his face red and windshield wiper-esque sounds coming out of his mouth.

a few minutes later taehyung and jimin were back, baskets of fries in their hands as well as new drinks for themselves.

"we couldn't resist." jimin said, setting the fries down. "now we need ketchup. brb." jimin said, skipping back towards the bar.

taehyung took a fry, plopping it in his mouth and then washing it down with a sip of his coke.

"tae, guess what." jin said, already laughing at what he was about to say. namjoon was blushing, crossing his arms and looking away.

"hm?" he asked, looking at his brother.

"namjoon dropped his ball before he rolled it down the lane." jin said, laughing hysterically. taehyung giggled, clapping his hands together.

"namjoonie always breaks things! it's a curse!" taehyung said.

"i do not!" namjoon pouted.

"yes you do! remember you broke the stapler, and then your computer stopped working... and then the pencil sharpener fell off the wall and wouldn't stay on, and then all your markers dried out for no reason..." taehyung said, listing multiple things he had broken or ruined.

"okay, okay. i get it. i'm the god of destruction." he muttered.

"aw don't be annoyed or embarrassed. i think it's cute." jin said shyly, looking at namjoon.

namjoon smiled softly, leaning in and pecking his cheek.

hoseok made a gagging noise, causing the two adults to glare at him.

"hoseokie, don't be mean! they're so adorable!" taehyung said happily.

jeongguk smiled, nonchalantly resting his hand on taehyung's back, sliding it up and down his back as a soothing action.

taehyung blushed, looking at his lap and playing with the many pretty charm bracelets he had on his wrist.

they were all gifted to him by jin and jimin, and every once and a while they'd take him out shopping to pick out new charms.

"i've got the ketchup!!!" jimin shouted, running back over and setting multiple cups of ketchup down on the table in the middle. they all quickly devoured the fries, saving the ketchup by using two fries at once so they wouldn't run out.

after another hour or so, they had bowled a few games and ate a lot of fries. it was fun for all of them.

they were all grateful for that night, because it brought them closer together and showed them what it was like to have a family.

i love bts' dynamic irl and in fanfiction. they're so close and they all love and care for each other so much. 🥺
