"So what should we name it?" Hiccup asks, waking you up from your review. You grumble and open your (e/c) eyes stretching your red and black body with a jaw-cracking yawn. "what now, little Hiccup?" you ask as you shake your head slowly to regain the consent of the world around you. Toothless gurgles by his spot with Hiccup and gnaws under his wing, preoccupied. "he wants to know what we want to call this place," he explains as his head comes up again and he turns his moss-green eyes to you. You hum and stands, walking over in two strides. "so what's the name you chose, Hiccup?" you ask, sitting beside Hiccup, looking down onto the explored map, modified with added stripes in every direction to accommodate your r ever-expanding world. Drawings indicate new lands, new tribes, and many new dragons.

Hiccup smile at you and scratches your chin, then peels a fresh strip of paper from a hidden fold in his flight suit and holds it out for Toothless to lick. You watch as he affixes the moistened strip to the map's outer edge, then sculpts a pencil and consults a compass attached to his forearm. tilting your head a little, you let out a rumble of curiousness. " "Itchy Armpit," I found toothless's guess," he said and carefully drew the new island's outline. after a while, he continues to speak while you have already moved your gaze to the land. "Whaddya reckon, friends? Think we might find a few Timberjacks in those woods? The odd Whispering Death or two in the rocks? Who knows...maybe we'll finally track down another Night Fury." he pauses, looking at toothless, who glances at you with a croon.

"Wouldn't that be something?" he continued, smiling at you. "So, whaddya say? Just keep going?" you rumbled an "if you want," then stood stretching further. Suddenly you hear toothless roars,  and an unfamiliar screech answers his call. You turn around, and Hiccup turns too. You see a Deadly nedder rising into view, and astride her is a girl with blonde hair. The dragon combines blue, gold, red, purple, and tan with a light beige underbelly. Her primary body color is blue, a bright and tropical turquoise. Her wings are mottled with darker shades of blue spots circled by gold, purple and red spots closer to her reddish shoulders. Her underwings are a duller mixture of gold and tan. Her tail is blue and gold, as are the many iconic poisonous spines adorning it. She has small black hooks at the end of her wing joints.

In front of her eyes is a curved nasal horn. Her lower jaw is shorter and broader than the upper, which gives her an overbite. You tilt your head as she grabs talon-fulls of rock to slow her landing. Her eyes find yours, and she croo surprised. So you are more extensive than her after all. "who are you?" she asks as her rider dismounts. you smile and dip your head in a greeting. "Im Shadowtounge," she nods and smiles, showing teeth. "Im Stormfly and the girl," she nudges her head against the blonde-haired girl who has sat down beside Hiccup "is my rider Astrid" you tilt your head as an image of your old rider into your mind. Astrid looks a little like her, only that yours had white hair and didn't go dressed as a Viking. 

She was a Targaryen, after all. "do you have a rider?" stormfly asked as she walked towards you, settling down. Toothless gurgled at the two of you, making you flick him with your tail. It hit his wing but not hard enough to hurt. He only doubled back a little, taken back from the action. "hey, I wanna play~!" he whines, and you snort, turning your head back to stormfly. "I had one, but she... died," you trail off as this is a sensitive subject for you. The blue dragon coos in understanding at your pain and nudges your wing with her own "I understand. I mean, not the pain, but it must be hard losing your rider. I mean, I would never have managed it" you nod and lay your head on your winged talons curling your tail around yourself. Toothless comes over to you, purring in delight as he presses himself against your side. stormfly watches, amused "he likes you, it seems," she says and then smirks. "you should go for him" you chuckle and shake your head. "Im not looking for a mate right now" stormfly rolls her eyes and lays down like you, her head beside your own.

As you fall into a slight slumber, you can't help but think about your deceased rider, Daenerys Targaryen. You hadn't been to Westeros in years. But, you coudnt stay there as it reminded you of her. You had seen her die being stabbed by her lover, Jon. You didn't quite forgive him but didn't kill him either. She was your mother; she had cared for you and your brothers before their death. Never once would you find another rider like that.

You knew that.

As you wake up, Toothless and Stormfly are playing fight, and Hiccup is talking to Astrid. You yawn, walking closer to the two, and rumble, "hello, Astrid," you say, and the blonde-haired girl looks t you with wide eyes "she can speak?!" she exclaims, and Hiccup nods. You only smile and lay down, curling around them in a cresent crinkle. you stay silent as they continue to talk Hiccup teller Astrid why he is here out in the wilderness "Oh, you're gonna love this. I wakeup. The sun's shining. TerribleTerrors are singing on the rooftop.I saunter down to breakfast,thinking all is right with theworld, and I get..." the brown-haired boy gets to his feet and puffs out his chest. ".. Son, we need to talk." you snort and watch as the blonde-haired girl smiles and adopts Hiccup's sloppy slouch.

"Not now, Dad. I've got a whole dayof goofing off to get started." Hiccup breaks character, grimacing at her impression of him. "Okay, first of all, I don't soundlike that. What is this character?And second... what is that thingyou're doing with my shoulders?" you laugh, and Hiccup scowls at you, making you shut up and wink at him innocently. Astrid laughs, too, and awkwardly jostles her shoulders. "A truly flattering impersonation.Anyway, he goes..." he says and pauses before deepening his voice, so he sounds like another one, probably his dad, and you understood it. "You're the pride of Berk, son, andI couldn't be prouder..." and asitrd continues her impression of hIccup, making you smile. 

"Aw, thanks, Dad. I'm prettyimpressed with myself, too." their continuation continues, and you turn your head listing halfheartedly to it. Your eyes watch the world outside, smiling as a soft wind blows across your scales. You think about your life to now. It's mostly been flying from island to island, trying to find a place with dragons friendly to new ones. So far, not so lucky, though you had an island where you were alone, only some stray animals wandering about. It was yours, but you decided to leave for the day and go on an adventure as you hadn't had one in a while. Suddenly you hear Astrid exclaim something that makes you snap your head to them where they stand against your stomach "-TO MAKE YOU CHIEF! Oh, my gods!" She jumps to her feet, beaming.

"Hiccup, that's amazing!" you furrow your brow. Wait, Hiccup is a chiefs son? That's his heritage? Huh, you thought and smiled, raising your head "that's amazing indeed, kid," you say, smiling. Astrid nods and socks Hiccup in congratulations, deliberately hitting thedorsal fin release button and triggering it to pop up. Shelaughs as Hiccup reels it back in, self-consciously. you raise your brow and flick your tail. "You're going to wear out the springcoil. The calibration is verysensitive" suddenly, Toothless and  Stormfly bowl over your head and pushes the two humans to the ground. You laugh and shake your head at the two who beams back at you, toothless coming over "play with us, please?" he does puppy eyes, and you huff turning away. "ah, don't do those eyes. I can never stand them" you pluff a fume of flames making toothless reel back. 

"please?" Stormfly joins in, and they both set their heads together, looking at you with puppy dog eyes. You smile and roll your eyes "okay then," you laugh as they start to jump around like cubs. Finally, you stand, making Hiccup and Astrid look at your prominent figure. "wow," Astrid breathes, and Hiccup hums. "so have you found out what type of dragon she is?" the blonde girl says as she and Hiccup watch as you and toothless and stormfly plays tag. 

By being more extensive, they can hide under you like cubs but not thoroughly since you're not that big. You laugh and smile, snapping after their tails playfully. "no, I haven't... but I think she is the legendary Winged Shadow. You know that story my father used to tell us when we were kids?" Astrid hums. "yeah, I remember. I always thought it was fake, though, as tall tales." Hiccup smiled and looked at you as you lay down and spread your massive wings, almost covering the stone. 

You lay there and let toothless and stormfly cuddle into you "well, they like her at least," Astrid observes, and Hiccup nods, "Yeah, they do. Toothless treated her as a friend even though she took me away and made him fall" Astrid raised a brow, making hiccup smile nervously. "I will tell you some other time," he said.
