!Mention of abortion!

Two lines on the pregnancy test. Two lines that indicate a change in his life.

Jimin leans his head against the cold tile wall of the bathroom as reality settles in, and he realises what it may mean for him. A wave of different emotions comes crashing down on him and before he knows it, a tear rolls down his cheek. What is he supposed to do now? How will his partner react? How can he tell his family that another family member is on the way?

After all, he is in a happy relationship.

There's no question that he will keep the baby but the thing is they are still in high school. It hasn't been too long into their relationship so the talk of what the future may look like hasn't come up. Jimin gulps as a sudden dizziness overcomes him. Quickly he sits down on the toilet lid, trying to keep the world from spinning - without success.

The thought of how Jaesang might react causes him to feel a weird and uncomfortable sensation in the stomach. He grasps for the phone that lies on the counter and shoots Jaesang a message, asking to meet, because Jimin knows if the little bit of courage he has right now vanishes, he won't get it again.

Later in the evening, Jimin sits on the sofa in his family home and inhales shakily, knowing that any minute from now, Jaesang will appear from the kitchen and sit down on the sofa next to him. Thoughts increase on how this could go and he buries his hands deeper in the pockets of his jumper, the pregnancy test hidden underneath his fingers.

"So, what is it you wanted to talk about?" Jaesang appears from the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand and sets it on the coffee table before he takes a seat next to Jimin, his hand lands on the headrest. It makes Jimin even more anxious that the other notices immediately and removes his hand to lay it on his lap instead. Jaesang isn't sure what to do to calm his partner down.

"I have something to tell you. I..." His voice shakes and he feels terrified as his gaze falls to his hands.

"Whatever it is, you know you can talk to me about it." Jaesang tries to encourage him, and throws him a soft smile.

Jimin nods in an attempt not to let his emotions take the upper hand of the situation. "I know it's just... I don't know how you will take it, but uhm..."

He pulls his hand out of his jumper, shaking and looks Jaesang in the eyes as he hesitantly unclenches his hand, revealing the white and pink pregnancy test. Observing how Jaesang furrows his brows as he stares first at him and then lets his gaze wander down to what's in his palm, makes his heart beat speed up.

Jaesang furrows his brows and tenses. "What's this?"

"What do you mean?" Jimin is now the one who furrows his brows, taken aback by his question. It's obvious what it is, no? "It's a pregnancy test and it's positive."

"I-I don't understand." Jaesang shakes his head and gets up, turning his back to Jimin as he halts in the middle of the living room. It's his lack of response that gets Jimin angry.

"What do you mean you don't understand? I'm pregnant and it's your baby, obviously." Jimin's eyes flash with irritation and he gets up as well, eyebrows drawn together. He can't say that's exactly what he expected would be the outcome, but he has not excluded it. Meanwhile, Jaesang avoids eye contact as he runs his fingers through his hair, contemplating what to say.

Jimin seems to notice this.

"Why can't you look me in the eye? Is it really the fact that I'm pregnant? Does that- does that really bother you-" He gulps a ball of horror down, fearing for what's to come.

"You don't understand. I'm- this is... I'm not ready for a child! We used protection for a reason and now this..." Jaesang bends down defeated and puts his head into his neck.

"So what? You want me to get an abortion?" he croaks out, voice half swallowed by a sob, trying to ignore the pain that spreads through his heart as best he can. Does that mean what he thinks it will?

"That's not what I was saying. I'm not someone who would force you to do that. You know that, Min." The pregnant man would be lying if he said the nickname that came over his lips didn't hurt, but it did and it only put salt into his wound.

"So what you're saying is, you want us to break up and for me to raise the child on my own if I keep it?" Jimin doesn't need an answer when the answer is imprinted on his face as clear as water. He feels his heart breaking, but his child is something that he would not lose over this. Maybe Jaesang and him aren't meant for each other like he used to think.

"So you leave me, is that it?"

"I'm- I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Jaesang says, seeing no point in saying something else. Mentally, he is in no position to raise a child himself, and although they haven't been together for more than a few months, they are still in high school. The only thing he can provide Jimin with is money as maintenance and there are private matters that keep him reminding that he can't even be his friend once the baby is born.

Jimin has to watch as Jaesang steps back after a hug and disappears through the door, leaving Jimin to break down.

"-a! Appa!" Minjun's voice catches Jimin off guard and he almost stumbles backwards, nearing the entrance door from the kindergarten if it weren't for two arms that circle around his hips. Jimin gasps as a manly scent invades through his nose and he finds his eyes closing at the pleasant smell. Stress has increased in the last few days and Jimin partly doesn't know where the front and back are anymore. The soothing scent calms his senses and makes him feel as if he is free of stress and already on holiday.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have a partner after all, but thinking back to Jaesang makes his insecurities come back and walls build up.

"Woah, careful there." The unmistakably deep and familiar voice startles him and pulls him out of his thoughts. He had not expected to encounter Jungkook today, much less in this way. Does he always start this early? He hadn't seen him so early on any other days here, other than the day he came in the company of another man. Is he not a kindergarten teacher after all? Just the way he left the flat so suddenly last week on this subject raises a lot of questions for him.

He straightens up quickly and pretends nothing happened, but the shimmering pink glow on his cheeks gives it away. Jungkook's hand slides down from Jimin's waist and falls back next to his thighs.

"Hello, Jungkook." He tries to come across as normal as possible in his greeting.

"Hi, Mr Park." Now that he thinks of it, he never told him his first name. Should he do it?

"Jimin."

"Huh?" Jungkook blinks a little dimly and puts a hand in his trouser's pocket before it goes to the strap of his backpack.

"You can call me Jimin."

"Oh, uhm... Jimin, hi." The taller one speaks out with a sudden shyness and tries out how the name sounds on his tongue. "Are you taking Minjun to kindergarten?"

The father wants to scoff. Isn't that obvious?

But he holds the words back and answers with a nod, "Yes. So you're working Tuesday early?"

"No, not necessarily, more in the afternoon, but today is an exception."

Even Minjun, who until now was more interested in the ants on the pavement, now seems to have realised that his favourite kindergarten teacher is here. With the colouring book in his hands, which he clutches tightly, he runs towards the man with the brown eyes that remind you of doe eyes. "Kookie!"

Jimin is still undecided about how he should feel about Minjun being so extroverted to an outside person.

"Hey, there you are again, little one." Jungkook kneels in front of him and reaches out to hug the small child.

"Have you grown? You look taller."

Jimin can't hold back a snort and crosses his arms over his chest.

"You saw him last week."

Horrified, Jungkook straightens up with the little man in his arms and looks at Jimin in horror. "How can you- He's grown, okay? Isn't that right, Minjun?"

Jimin can't believe him. He's using his own son against him.

Minjun nods shyly, "am big."

"That's right and you're still growing and will be soon as strong as your father or me. Maybe you will protect him some day."

Minjun nods and buries his head in Jungkook's neck. "Protect appa."

The said man is endeared and almost coos at the interaction between them but instead goes to open the entrance door as work doesn't wait and he has to be punctual. He notices in the corner of his eyes how Jungkook puts Minjun to the ground and puts his backpack on properly before they make their way into the kindergarten.

"So... anything planned for later?" Jungkook asks curiously as Jimin helps his son out of his jacket and shoes the second they stand in front of the shoe rack. The former clears his throat and shoves his hand into his jacket pocket, realising that it might have been rude. "Not that it's any of my business. Sorry for being so nosy. You don't have to answer."

"It's all right," Jimin replies, turning to Minjun and giving him a kiss on the forehead. Apparently, he is waiting for something to go into his room. "Juju, you can go in already. I'll talk to Jungkook for a minute."

The little boy thinks for a moment and then looks up at Jungkook, hand reaching to his and he clasps a few fingers of the other. "Kookie, come?"

The taller one smirks at the cute expression on his face and returns his handshake. "I'll be right there. You can go ahead."

Reluctantly, Minjun makes a snort, but then finally goes into the room, which gives Jimin the opportunity to hang up Minjun's jacket, which he still had in his hand, and look in his backpack to see if the things for later are inside.

"What I wanted to ask... what do you think of taekwondo?"

"In general?" Jimin nods and smiles kindly. With the puzzled expression on his face, Jungkook looks kind of cute.

"It's one of the martial arts in itself that I like a lot and I got into it really well when I first started."

Jimin's eyes widen. "You... You used to do taekwondo?"

"Yes. It's been a while but I'd get back into it if I practised a bit. Why?"

"Can you recommend it for kids? For... three-year-olds?"

Scrunching his nose, Jungkook muses, running his hands through his hair as his eyes fall to the opposite wall. "Many say no, for the reason that it's hard and takes a lot of thought and practise, but again it depends on the character and if you can find a school that trains three-year-olds already."

If Jungkook is right about it being about Minjun, he has no doubt that he will make it. He just needs to remember the hours when they secretly play the piano and he teaches him to play the piano. Minjun manages as soon as he finds interest in something.

"Thank you... I signed Minjun up and thought he might enjoy it." Jimin laughs as he remembers how shy his little prince is. "But judging from his quiet personality... I don't even know if he'll go for it."

"You'll never know unless you try. Maybe he'll surprise himself, who knows," he says as if he knows something Jimin doesn't.

"I guess that's true," he sighs and straightens up to say something, yet is stopped from doing so.

"Say, Jungkook, what are you still standing here for?" Hoseok emerges from one of the rooms and jokingly complains, however, Jimin appears not to have noticed or heard his amused tone in his voice. Therefore he apologetically peers to Hoseok and then to Jungkook.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry I stopped you from working."

"Jimin, it's fine, really." Hoseok shakes his head and waves with his hand. "I was only joking. Jungkook still has some time left before he starts."

"Oh," he mumbles, only now noticing the grin on his lips. Embarrassed Jimin looks down at his shoes and nibbles with his front teeth on his bottom lip. The taller watches Jimin's reaction with shining eyes and struggles to keep himself from melting because of his shy behaviour.

"You can talk to him for a while Jungkook, I'll prepare the room and see how the little rackers are doing," Hoesek says with a knowing look and walks back to the room, leaving the two men alone in the empty hallway. Since Jimin's back was turned towards the room, he doesn't see Hoseok symbolically crossing his fingers to wish Jungkook good luck.

Jungkook rolls his eyes at the ridiculous gesture, even though it makes him slightly flustered inside.

"If you want, I can talk to him about Taekwondo?" The dark-haired man offers, snapping the smaller man out of his little bubble and making him open his mouth, he closes it again to ponder how to respond.

"That would be a great help, thank you. Maybe he'll be a bit more confident then," the single father says enthusiastically and throws at him a smile that defines gratefulness.

"How did you come up with Taekwondo?"

A laugh so warm that it elicits a fluttering in Jungkook's sounds from the other. "Because I did it myself."

"What, really? Where?" Jungkook asks, not quite believing that Jimin did the same martial arts as him. Considering how much muscles his thighs have-

No, Jungkook, don't even go there.

"The Traditional Taekwon-Do Club and you?"

Jungkook's eyes are as wide as saucers, trying to concentrate on something else. It was not his intention to think of Jimin like that. Nonetheless, how can he not when this gorgeous man stands right across from him? "I went to the rival club."

"Oh, never liked them," Jimin comments with a wrinkled nose, which makes the student laugh and throw his head back.

The latter shrugs. "Not all of them were bad."

"Most of them," Jimin mumbles, completely convinced by his statement and shakes his head.

"But not all of them, and that's the important thing." Because I don't consider myself to be the bad ones, Jungkook wants to add. He keeps quiet about it when he glimpses at Jimin, who's struggling with his next words. It's cute, Jungkook must admit. Seeing how his brows furrow when he ponders about something or nibbles on his lip, makes him want to reach out and wipe with his finger over his plush pink lips.

It's when a lady from the kitchen rolls several trays of food and vegetables on a trolley that they realise they start preparing breakfast for the kids and here they are still talking. Jimin curses innerly as he remembers he has to head to work soon if he doesn't want to end up being late.

Both look at each other in shock, not having realised that so much time has already passed. Jungkook knows that Hoseok and him have grown closer and that he won't snitch on him if he talks longer, but what about Jimin?

"I think I better head to work now. I really don't want to be late." Sighing, the two men look into each other's eyes, not quite knowing how to say goodbye, resulting in the air around them becomes slightly awkward. With each passing second, time is running out for Jimin, so he gathers his courage and tells Jungkook goodbye, trying to hide the subtle blush on his cheeks.

"See you around," Jungkook confirms, taking in the sight before him, watching him as he disappears through the main door with a final wave, leaving a slightly befuddled Jungkook behind.

"You're drooling," Hoseok comments, leaning against the door frame and having watched the entire interaction. It startles Jungkook but he doesn't turn around to Hoseok, his gaze remaining on the door the single parent just went through.

"I'm not." The student denies and storms into the room to distract himself from his rapidly beating heart. Jimin's smile crosses his mind and he lies a hand over his heart, feeling its racing beat. Why does he suddenly feel this way? His thoughts keep piling up with a certain brown-haired man, but he pushes them to the furthest corner of his mind. There's no time to think of his thoughts when he's supposed to work. It will only distract him.

Later in the evening, Jimin would come to pick up Minjun so they could go to his first Taekwondo class.
