ONE

( ONE RUNAWAY BRIDE.

ANASTASIA'S JEAN CLAD legs swayed back and forth as the woman rested on the arm rest of Joey's chair inside Central Perk. She was accompanied by the rest of her group of friends in their usual seats, excluding Ross. Everyone's eyes were glued to Monica's as she continued her story.

"There's nothing to tell you. I just work with the guy." Monica shrugged impassively.

"Oh yeah right. Come on, your dating the guy, there has to be something wrong with him." Joey exclaim from his seat beside Anastasia.

Ana smacked him lightly on his chest. "Be nice." Although, she couldn't help but agree. Monica's boyfriends were always a bit strange.

"So does he have a hump?" Chandler chimed from his seat across form Joey and Ana. "A hump and a hair piece?" The male raised his eyebrows in pure curiosity and amusement.

"Omg wait, does he eat chalk?" Phoebe interjected from beside Monica. The comment caused her friends head to face her in confusion. "I just don't want her to go through what I went through with Carl."

"Oh I remember Carl! He needed help." Ana frowned, remembering the man strange antics.

"People relax. This is not even a date." Monica explained in reply to their comments. "It's just two people going out to dinner and not having sex."

"Sounds like a date to me." Ana shrugged, glancing at Joey who was nodding in agreement. "But you say it's not, so just curious. What is your definition of a date?"

"You know what, can we please talk about something else?!" Monica exclaimed in frustration.

"Uhhh, Chandler has a weird dream he wants to tell us about." The brunette piped. Everyone's eyes turned to Chandler.

Chandler rubbed his hands together thinking back to his dream. "Okay, so I'm back as high school. I'm standing in the middle of the cafeteria and then I realize that I'm totally naked!"

The rest of the group, excluding Ana began to hum in agreement. "Oh, I've had that dream before."

"Nope. Never had that dream before." The brunette blurted after everyone else agreed. She glanced at her mug to see that her hot coco was gone and got up to order another one, but not before stopping on her way. "Although, there was that one dream with the chicken suit..." Ana shrugged before continuing on her way and ordering another mug of her favorite drink.

Her friends on the couch looked at each other in thought, before letting out a hum of realization. "Ohh, the tightrope dream."

"Anyways, I look down and there's a phone down, there." Chandler made a motion towards his crotch. "The phone starts to ring. And it's my mother, which is very, very strange because she never calls me."

Ana managed to hear the rest of the story, even from the counter and went to take her seat by Joey after she ordered. Though, there was an important detail that Chandler didn't mention, but Ana was curious about. So, she decided to ask. "Okay, question. What type of phone was it?"

"Why does that even matter?!" Chandler questioned incredulously.

THE BELL JINGLES, signaling that someone has walked inside causing the group of friends to face the doorway curious.

Ross stands there drenched with an broken umbrella in hand. Sadness evident on his face. "Hi."

"This guys says hello and I want to kill myself." Joey exclaims sarcastically. Ana glared at the Italian man before giving him a slap to the back of his head.

"Are you okay sweetie?" Monica reaches out give Ross's hand a encouraging squeeze.

"I feel like someone reached down my throat, grabbed my small intestine, pulled it out of my mouth, and tied it around my neck." Ross whined.

"Well that was vivid." Ana raised her eyebrows confused.

"Cookie?" Chandler offered, raising a plate of cookies. Without waiting for Ross to take him up on the offer — Ana walks over to grab the cookies from Chandler, then sits down at the table next to Chandler. She stuffed one in her mouth, moaning in satisfaction.

Remember that Ross was still upset, looked at him in question. "Any particular reason you feel that way?" Ana asked after swallowing her first cookie.

"Carol moved her stuff out today." Monica explains to the group. "Let me get you some coffee." Monica walks to the counter. Ross takes her seat on the couch, sinking down.

Phoebe gasps all of the sudden. She starts picking the air around Ross, urgently. "Stop cleansing my aura!" Ross whined, pushing her hands away.

"Ross, your aura needs cleansing." Ana stated, already finished with her cookies.

"Just leave my aura alone!" Ross exclaimed pushing away Phoebe's hands that tried to come back.

"Pheebs, come cleanse my aura. Ross is making it all gloomy with his sadness." The girl never liked seeing the blonde upset. Phoebe's face lit up as she sat on Ana's arm rest and started waving her hands around, plucking away the bad aura.

"I'll be fine alright. I hope she'll be really happy." Ross stated, trying and failing to reassure his friends how unaffected he was.

"No you don't." Monica interjected, still waiting at the counter.

"No, I don't. To hell with her. She left me!" Ross agreed.

"You know Ross, your really taking the high road here." Ana chimed sarcastically.

"I know right!" Ross agreed, not knowing she was being sarcastic.

"And you never knew she was a lesbian?" Joey sighed, shaking his head.

"No. Okay?" Ross said annoyed, "Why does everyone keep fixating on that? She didn't know. How would I know?!" He exclaimed.

"Sometimes I wish I was a lesbian." Chandler sighed, still reading his newspaper as if nothing happened. "Did I say that out loud?" Chandler asked, lowering his newspaper in panic.

"Yes hun, you did." Ana giggled as she placing a hand on his shoulder. Things like this are the reason the woman enjoys being friends with Chandler. He always says the most random, but funny things.

"Ross, look, your feeling a lot of pain right now. You're hurting and you're angry. Can I tell you the answer for that?" Joey asks. "Strip joints!"

"Oh dear god." Ana groaned. When one of the boys were hung up over a girl he would always suggest strip joints. Hell he even tried to persuade her to go once.

"No, I don't want any of that. I just want to be married again." The heartbroken man whimpered. Then, as if God himself hear his plead — a blonde in a wedding dress busts in the coffee shop.

The soaked hair under the veil, the makeup streaming down her face, and the fact that she had no husband beside clearly shows it wasn't a happy wedding. She was a runaway bride.

"And I just want a million dollars!" Chandler exclaimed, looking at the door hopefully. Ana shook her head with amusement in her eyes.

"Rachel?" Monica asked, walking up to the woman confused.

"Oh god, Monica, Hi. I just went to your building and a guy with a big hammer said that I would find you here and you are!" Rachel said as her and Monica hugged.

"Okay everyone, this is Rachel. Rachel, this is Chandler, Phoebe, Joey, Ana, and you remember my brother, Ross." Monica introduced everyone. She guided Rachel to the couch. As they sit, Rachel notices everyone expectant gaze. They were waiting for the girl to explain why she was wearing a wedding dress and not at a wedding.

Another moment went by before someone broke the silence. "So you want to tell us now or are we waiting for four wet bridesmaids?" Monica questioned.

"Oh god, well it started half an hour before the wedding. I was in this room where we were keeping all the presents, looking at this gravy boat. This extremely gorgeous Lomoges gravy boat and I realized that I was more turned on by the gravy boat than Barry. I really freaked out and then it hit me. How much Barry looks like Mr. Potato Head. I mean I always knew he looked familiar but..." Rachel blurted out, incredulously.

"I'm sorry, but you ended your engagement because of a gravy boat and Mr. Potato Head?" Ana wanted to know if she heard that explanation correctly because it was strange one.

"Yeah." The soaked blonde woman nodding. "Anyway, I just had to get out of there. And I know you and I have drifted apart, but you're the only person I knew that lived in the city." Rachel continued, looking at Monica hopefully.

Ana raised a brow as if suddenly remembered something. "Who wasn't invited to the wedding." Monica crosses her arms in agreement with the other women, giving Rachel a look.

"Well I was kinda hoping that wouldn't be a issue." Rachel winced.

THE GANG WAS back at Monica's apartment. They were guessing the plot of this telenova. Although, Ana understood it considering she was a fluent Latina. The young woman had her head rested on Joey's lap and legs on Chandler's as the three were on the couch.

"Now I'm guessing that he brought her the big pipe organ and she's really not happy about it." Monica suggested,  pointing at the TV screen. The Latina giggled at the ridiculous suggestion, but decided not to comment on it.

"I know one thing's for sure, she should not be wearing those pants." Chandler shook his head.

"I say push her down the stairs." Joey ran his hand through Ana's hair.

"Push her down the stairs! Push her down the stairs!" Everyone chanted, wholeheartedly agreeing with him. The group cheered and clapped as the girl on the telenova tumbled down the stairs. Next, they turned off the TV, Ana sat up, and they all turned around to watch Rachel's drama.

THE GIRLS WERE on the couch trying to calm down a frantic Rachel, while Joey and Chandler were in the kitchen making sandwiches.

The almost married woman was in complete hysteria and eventually started to hyperventilate into a bag. Trying to calm her down, Phoebe started to sing and dance around in the living room. Ana but her lip to keep herself from laughing, while rubbing Rachel's back. "I feel better now." Rachel snapped, wanting the other blonde to stop.

"I helped!"  Phoebe exclaimed and skipped to the kitchen.

"Hun, it's gonna be okay." The Latina sent a small smile towards the upset woman. "We'll help you recov— wait a minute!" The brunette's eyes suddenly widened, alarmed.

"What?" Monica and Rachel asked in unison, looking at her.

"I never got my second cup of hot coco!" Ana pouted. She looked at Rachel and Monica, who were both giving her he stank eye."But that totally doesn't matter- and I'm gonna sit here and be quiet." Ana glanced down at her nails.

"Hey, if you ever need anything, you can always come to Joey." The flirt walked over to Rachel and put a hand on her shoulder.

Ana rolled her eyes. Joey's tendency to flirt at the worst time always annoyed the female. She walked to the kitchen in hopes of ignoring the scene.

Joey walked back to the kitchen with a smirk on his face. A smirk of accomplishment. Ana, who acted on annoyance & impulse, grabbed his hand that held his sandwich and took a bite out of the sandwich.

When she finished chewing, she looked at Joey who eyes were wide in shock. "That was hot." The Italian man absentmindly stated.

"Shut up." Ana turned her head away as she felt her cheeks warm up.
