I stood there shocked.

Still trying to wrap my head about the situation that just happened some minutes ago, and I stood rooted to a particular spot.

Was I dreaming.

All this wouldn't have happened if Flora hadn't pestered me to come to the cafeteria when all I wanted to do was to read in peace.

Now here I was with my food on the floor, thankfully it didn't stain my uniform.

But I really can't say for the guy who bumped into me and started shouting at me for something he did.

"Come lets go people are watching." Flora said beside me where she stood and grabbed my hands as we made our way to the exit.

"Are you okay?" She asked as soon as we got there.

"As you can see I'm not okay and who does that guy think he is anyway, after he bumped into me oh he still has mind to shout at me in front of everybody, like who does that?" I ranted and she just looked at me before her lips stretched into a smile before she broke into fits of laughter.

What is funny now.

"Wonders shall never end oh" she said clapping her hands, "So you mean that the girl that was being cold to me and ignoring me can actually say up to one word" She continued laughing.

Oh...

Realization dawned onto me that that was the much I've said since I arrived here.

"Well at least I know you can talk." She said taking a seat beside on the bench.

I looked around and noticed we were at a obscure area of the hallway with a lot of locked doors and completely worn off paint on the walls.

"The boy you bumped into or rather bumped into you is Derrick the most loved and popular boy in KIHS and the leader of D TRIPLE D." She elaborated.

Triple wetin!?

"I know right, such a stupid name." She looked at me as if reading my mind because that name doesn't make an iota of sense.

How can you sit down and name yourself something as fatuous as that.

"It's not them them who named themselves if that's what your thinking oh" she turned to look at me "Its those their stupid fan girls that don't know what they came to school to do and speaking of fan girls be careful of the girls in science, technical and most especially arts because of the incident that just happened they won't think twice about poisoning you" she looked at me with a staid expression on her face.

"Hi guys." Zainab greeted while walking towards us with a bag in her hand.

"Zanny boo." Flora jumped from where she sat and gave her a hug.

"Your so beautiful." Flora said as soon she let go of her.

"Thanks and so are you" she smiled at her before looking over at me and stretching the bad she was holding towards me.

I raised my eyebrow quizzically wondering what it could be.
She must have noticed my expression because her moth formed an oh shape.

"Since your lunch got ruined I got some snacks for you" she explained while stretching the bag towards me.

"Errr... thanks" I said grabbing the bag from her outstretched hand.

"You're welcome" she replied beaming at me.

"Bye again" she said with Flora muttering a bye at her.

"We should go classes will start soon" Flora said getting up from the bench as I followed her behind.

Disdainful stares and whispering was what I was welcomed as soon as I stepped foot in my class.

What is now?

I asked myself cause ever since I stepped foot in this school today all I get are whispers and stares for the wrong reasons.

"How dare she do that to my husband to be."

"This girl na ashawo, nothing wey you fit tell me."

"Attention seeker."

I made my way to my seat as their fatuous comments filled the air.

I grabbed a book to read but as I was about to open the book it flew out of my hand in a nanosecond.

Uh? What!

I looked up only to meet the eyes of the girl who pushed me from her chair earlier staring at me with venom in her eyes, and from looks of it something bad is about to happen.

What is it again?

"So you're the attention seeking newbie." Disgust coated her words as she eyed me up and down like I was dirt that needed to be wiped out of existence.

"How dare you try to steal Derrick away from me you low life bitch" she banged my desk causing a few materials to fall off. I looked at her only too see her face close to mine with pure rage in her eyes.

Wetin dey do this one

I don't know how the words came out of my mouth but they just did.

"Maybe next time when you come to say rubbish to my face brush your teeth first" I clapped backed earning shock gasps from my classmates.

"Ewooo!"

"Chisos!"

"Dry abeg"

She looked shocked as if not expecting me to say something back, but her shocked expression was replaced with a acrimonious expression.

"So you can talk ba?" she asked

"Yes I can talk now can you get out!" I yelled shocking my classmates, her and myself.

She was livid with anger as she grabbed a bottle of coke from a nearby locker.

"You bitch" she screamed at me before dumping the entire content of the drink on me.

"Stay away from my man and stir clear from my path you piece of shit or else!." She threatened as she stormed off towards the door leaving me in a despondent state by her heinous act.

My hair, brand new uniform and shoes were ruined.

Dejected by all the activities that just happened in just one day I ran out of the class not caring were I was going to as my eyes were on the brim of tears.

What an eventful first day
