Everyone was looking at me, eyes clawing at my back.

I should've just kept my mouth shut, if I did none of this could've happened.

Murmurs were heard around me, mostly from my classmates.

Do they know each other?

What's going on?

This Sonia and problem ehn

But nothing could make me scared than that face.

A face I buried in my past.

Eleanor.

She looked taller than before, had clear skin and was actually looking presentable. She didn't look like the dirty poor girl the first time we met.

Soon the murmurings stopped and everyone had their attention towards something else, or rather someone else.

A familiar boy probably 6'2 in height, dark skinned with pink lips and a tapered hairstyle came walking with two other boys.ย  The boy on the left looked a lot like him but only fairer in complexion and the boy on the right looked a little bit short and also dark in complexion.

But if you tell me three words to describe them I would say: THEY ARE HOT!

Like literally, they all look like Greek gods.

"Hey babe, is everything all right?" The guy in the middle asked Jessica immediately he got to us as he scanned the us and the area.

Babe ke?

"Yeah everything is all right, we were just excited to meet our old classmate Sonia." She said to him, with a fake smile plastered on her face.

And how is she even excited to see me? After what happened a few moments ago.

"Sonia you remember Lekan right? Our classmate back in Jss3."

Wait! Like the Lekan I knew who had pimples and acne. The Lekan I knew who wore glasses and had braces on? This is Lekan!!!

"You don't mean it!" Lekan fixed his gaze towards me, scrutinizing me from head to toe. "She looks bigger now and thicker if I may add."

All of a sudden Derrick started coughing in a dramatic way if I may add. I rolled my eyes and turned towards Lekan, he was still checking me out and Jessica looked like she was going to explode any moment from now.

"It's nice to see you Lekan, I almost didn't recognize you." I finally found my voice.

"I know I look good right?" He had a smirk on his face while stroking his chin.

Well if cockiness was a person it would be him, second to Derrick of course.

"Okay that's enough!" A high pitched voice that hasn't said anything since she got here voiced out.

Eleanor

"I guess some of us are actually glad to see Sonia while some of us are not." She stressed the last word, looking me dead in the eye.

"But you guys were supposed to go to hostel and get ready five minutes ago so as to prepare for the competition. But I guess a particular person just wanted attention and made all of us to stay here." She looked me dead in the eye again as she said those words making me feel uneasy.

"So without much furtherado, may I please escort all the students of KIHS to the hostels they are gonna be staying in?"

Murmurs of agreements were made.

"So girls follow me and the boys can follow Lekan."

We followed Eleanor till we got to the front of a two way mahogany wooden door. She opened it and it led us to a reception. A woman was at the front of a table typing on a desktop, she paused when she noticed us.

Eleanor handed over a file to the lady and she nodded then proceeded to type something on the desktop. The printer next to her started printing some papers.

Eleanor gathered the papers and walked straight towards us, handing us the paper one by one.

"On that paper is the map of where your rooms are located, so good luck finding them and if you get lost that's your business." Eleanor said with a wicked smile and started walking off but Kelechi's voice stopped her.

"Shey na ment, please kindly direct us to our rooms, who still uses maps?"

Kelechi tore the map into pieces, squeezed it and threw it on the floor. Eleanor looked at the paper on the floor and then shifted her gaze back to an unbothered Kelechi.

"I just knew that your school has always been a place for rearing wild animals."

"And I just knew that this school has always been a place for rearing dogs." Kelechi retorted back.

Tension was everywhere in the air that a sound couldn't be heard except for their heavy breathing.

"I don't understand what's with you bluestone students and pride?! Just take us to our rooms let's get preparedย  for the competition." Kelechi said exasperated.

"Well even though you still prepare for the competition you'll still lose, I wonder why you're making noise." Eleanor said back.

The receptionist clearly noticing the fight spoke up. "What's going on there?" She questioned as she walked towards us.

"The students in the school are mental that's what's going on." Kelechi voiced out as other students in the reception stopped to look at her.

"Who did you just call mental?" Eleanor took a step closer to Kelechi.

"Only you carry stupidness, deafness and ignorance. You no even get shame." Kelechi said.

By now other students had stopped what they were doing to watch what was happening.

"Repeat everything you've just said, I dare you." Eleanor with a murderous look in her eyes challenged her.

"I said you're-"

But Kelechi was not able to complete her words cause of the slap that was landed on her face.

Knowing that Kelechi wasn't going to let it slide, she quickly recovered from the slap and matched towards a unprovoked Eleanor ready to retaliate. But the voice of Mrs Chinaza stopped her.

"What is going on here? Aren't you guys suppose to be in your assigned rooms getting ready?" Mrs Chinaza asked but nobody answered the question.

"Ma we were getting ready I was just about to show them their rooms but Kelechi complained of being tired so we decided to take a break and when I told her it was time to go she started overreacting, isn't that right Kelechi?" Eleanor asked a boiling Kelechi who was ready to kill at the moment.

Knowing Kelechi was hot headed and violent sometimes I knew she was actually a reasonable person and would answer wisely.

"Yes it was actually my fault, I was stalling so I could rest much longer I'm sorry for the commotion." She forcefully gritted the words out.

"It's no problem please just get ready for the competition it starts in the next three hours." Mrs Chinaza said and walked off.

"All right my loves let me escort you to your rooms." Eleanor said gleefully while Kelechi looked at her in disdain.

"She slapped me! Me Kelechi! And I won't slap back, that girl never see anything, her and that her useless friend Jessica wey no get anything for life apart from her parents things if we by mistake jam for road eh!"

"Kelechi e don do na." Zainab said exasperatedly indicating that she was as tired as all of us in the room.

"I never even start you dey tell me to calm down, make I no swear for you oh." Kelechi retorted at Zainab annoyingly.

"Oya it's okay, if you want to fight please do it after we're done with this competition. We can't risk being disqualified." Zainab said arranging her belongings while I was just on my bed reading.

Me, Zainab, Kelechi and Flora were sharing a room. The room was spacious, had 2 bunk beds with floral bed sheets, a large cupboard at the ending and a full body mirror.

"All I know is that I'll not leave this school without killing somebody." Kelechi said finally before applying lip gloss.

"Guys our T-shirts for the competition are here!!!" Flora announced giddily as she walked into the room with a big bag. She threw the shirts without looking at where they landed.

"Nawa for this Flora self, what will happen if you give it to us like normal human beings." Kelechi said while examining her T-shirt.

"If there is one thing you should know about me..." Flora paused. "I'm not normal!!!" She screamed causing all of us to close our ears due to the intensity.

Flora skipped away giddily after the act she just displayed causing us to giggle.

"I wonder how Sonia even copes with Flora, I for don run mad by now." Kelechi said causing Zainab to laugh.

The harsh opening of the door stopped every form of laughter to die down.

"Can't you knock?" Kelechi asked aggressively, eyeing the person from head to toe.

"I should knock as how? You buy the room?" Eleanor asked, reciprocating her reaction.

"You can't always be this senseless, it causes you nothing to just knock." Kelechi exasperatedly said.

"See ehn-"

"What are you doing? I thought you were told to call them for brunch before the competition." Amaka came in, cutting Eleanor's response.

"You oversabi what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to supervise the Junior students in the hall."

Knowing Amaka, she won't just stay idle and let this happen. But to my greatest surprise she did.

"I'm sorry I'll go back, sorry for the disturbance." Amaka side stepped Eleanor and walked off.

You say what?

God abeg, so you mean that Amaka just stayed and let them insult her. Amaka of all people. I refuse to believe this.

"You must not talk to her like that. Try to have manners for once."

Silence.

Silence.

More silence.

Oh God, don't tell me I've done it again.

I said it!!!

Again.

"Okay that's enough, if they're calling us for brunch then let's go abeg." Zainab being the matured one suggested and Kelechi reluctantly agreed.

As I was about to step out, my movements were restricted with Eleanor obstructing the way.

Well I knew this would happen sooner or later.

"Can I help you?" I asked confidently.

Meanwhile, Eleanor just stood there scanning me with a foreign look in her eyes like she was trying to figure out the cause of my existence.

"So you're still alive." The question sounded like a statement that held a lot of weight.

"Am I supposed to be dead?" I asked rhetorically.

"After what I did three years ago, a normal person would end their lives."

"Well I have a strong spirit and what you did just made me a stronger person, I've moved on." I said with confidence.

"Oh please, who do you think you're deceiving? You've moved on ke?" She laughed mockingly in my face.

"What is that suppose to mean?"

"It means you're lying to yourself. If you've truly moved on answer this question... On the 5th of October, you're dad was released from prison because of his good behavior and two days later he came to your house to see his daughter which is you, did you hug him or talk to him like someone who moved on?"

"I ummm... " I tried talking but the words were like foam forming in my mouth.

"There's actually no need to lie, and as you're here control your mouth and your movements I can end your life as I did three years ago." With a cynical smile she left the room leaving me in my thoughts.

Have I really moved on?

And thoughts on this chapter?

I also feel like Sonia hasn't moved on.

And I'm actually sorry for the late updates. School, life, friends, family and boys distracted me from writing here but I'm partially back.
