Makena sat on one of the chairs in the throne room, her hands were clenched together, so hard her nails dug into her palms, leaving bloody cresent moon marks on them. Okoye stood in the room giving her explanation about what had happened.
The Dora Milaje all gathered behind the throne that the Queen sat in. "They were blue. And they had super human strength. And they came from the water on the backs of whales. I struck down three of them with blows that should've killed them but they rose again." Okoye explained. Still nobody seemed to believe her. And Makena had yet to ever speak, she was dead silent.
"I wish to leave immediately to retrieve our Princess," Okoye spoke.
Everyone stayed silent and Okoye looked around, noticing everyone's looks of disbelief and not the surprised kind. Makena had her elbows on her knees, leaned forward, her mind clearly drifted off somewhere else.
"Okoye," Ramonda finally spoke. "You will be stripped of your right as General of Wakanda's armies and your status as Dora Milaje." Ramonda said. M'Baku and the elders glanced at Makena and there was no reaction on her face like they would've expected.
"Allow me to talk. My Queen," Okoye requested in Xhosa.
"You may."
"Please. I have given everything! Let me die serving my country and that throne! I ask you, mother." Okoye dropped to her knees, pleading with the Queen as her eyes watered. "Allow me to make this right!"
"Make it right? I do not know if my daughter is alive or dead." Ramonda's voice cracked at the idea of her daughter being dead. Makena's hands twitched hearing that but she still said nothing.
"Perhaps, we are being too hasty. She raised a spear against her own husband for Wakanda!" The border tribe elder protested in Okoye's defense.
"And where is her traitorous husband now?! But in a place she can visit if she wished! Mine, is with the ancestors!" Ramonda stood to her feet.
"I am Queen, of the most powerful nation in the world! And my entire family is gone! Have I not given everything?!"
A tear fell from Makena's face and Ramonda stepped forward to Okoye. She took a shaky breath before speaking, "On your feet, General."
Okoye obeyed and slowly rose to her feet. "I stood by you, after Killmonger, took the throne! And you and the elders in this room stood by him! While I ran back to the Jabari for protection! And I warned you about taking my daughter on this mission, and you lost her. So today, I am done." Ramonda spoke, her voice holding power and authority.
Makena wasn't even sure why she wasn't getting the blame but at this point that wasn't even her number one focus.
A tear fell from Okoye's eye and she stabbed her spear into the platform. She took a shaky breath before turning around and walking out.
Once the doors shut, Ramonda turned to Makena. "Kena, tell me. Is she alive?" Ramonda asked.
Makena finally looked up, she stood up and clasped her hands together. Makena took a deep breath before speaking. "I don't know." Makena's voice cracked.
A tear fell from her eye, "I'm sorry. I can't do this. I need some air," Makena said, wiping her eye.
"Go, my child," Ramonda granted. Makena nodded and walked out, her heels clicking on the floor as she exited the throne room.

Makena sat, hunched over the chair she sat on as she read the pages in her dad's book on the Talokan people. She was trying to find where they could possibly be located. Makena glanced over her shoulder seeing Ramonda walk into the lab. She went back to reading, if Ramonda wished to speak with her, she would.
"Makena, are you in here?" Ramonda questioned. "Over here, Ramonda," Makena mumbled. She slammed the book shut in frustration, not finding anything on where they were located as the page had been torn out.
"Can you tell me what happened in your perspective?" Ramomda asked, taking a seat next to Makena.
Makena sighed, turning her body to face the queen. "We were on the bridge, we lost the cops but then something rolled under the car. I was on top of the car when it exploded, it was a bomb but with water. Shuri was on a bike and so I remember jumping towards her and wrapping my body around hers so she wouldn't get hurt. I used a shield to soften the landing a bit but she hit her head and fell unconscious."
Ramomda took Makena's hands in her own as Makena struggled to keep going without crying or getting angry. "They somehow injected some kind of vibranium into me and I passed out. Okoye used the device Shuri made to eject it from my body. When I woke up, Okoye was thrown into the water."
"So, I took them on by myself. I tried killing them but, they just didn't die. I was on the edge of decapitating one of them but my hands glowed purple. And so it distracted me and the girl used a water bomb to send me into the water. I wanted to swim back up but Okoye was gonna drown so I saved her. When I rose back to the surface, she was gone."
"And it was all my fault." Makena let out a sob and Ramonda brought Makena into an embrace. "You did all you could, my child. I know with everything in me that you would do anything for Shuri," Ramonda comforted, running her hand up and down Makena's back in comfort.
"I should've tried harder. I don't know what to do, mom. I'm not ready to lose someone else. I haven't even told her I love her," Makena cried, not even realizing she had called Ramonda, mom.
"I know, my child. So, right now we need to do everything in our power to find her. All this anger you have that Shuri warned me about is not good for you. So you cannot do this by yourself." Ramonda said, gently cupping Makena's face.
Makena looked at Ramonda, and wiped her tears. "So what do you suggest that we do?"
Ramonda stood up and walked over to the screen as Makena watched. "Are you here, Griot?" Ramonda asked, hoping the AI was still working.
"Yes, my queen," Griot's voice came through.
"Were you with Shuri when she was abducted?"
"I was."
"Are you able to track her Kimoyo Beads?"
"On it, my queen."
Makena perked up and walked over, looking at Ramonda and the screen. "I didn't think of that," Makena mumbled.
It took a minute or so before a voice came in. The tracker revealed that the beads were in Boston, Massachusetts... Makena furrowed her brows in confusion, "We were just there."
It revealed Agent Ross's fingerprint that was used to answer the call. "Everett Ross," Ramonda spoke.
"Queen Ramonda?" Ross's voice came through.
"What are you doing with Shuri's Kimoyo Beads?" Ramonda questioned.
"I didn't know they were hers, alright? I just found them at a pretty ugly crime scene. Do you have the student?" Ross asked.
"Shuri, was trying to save her but they were both taken."
"What? Taken by who? And is Makena with you? I seen the vibranium ejector by the beads," Ross said.
"Yeah, I'm right here," Makena spoke up.
Ross sighed, not hearing any response about who took the girl and Shuri. "My agency assumes it was you. And I'm worried they might be onto the fact that I pointed Shuri and Okoye in the right direction. Look if they're in danger, I want to help. But I can't if I don't know what's going on," Agent Ross said.
"I'm afraid there's a new world power at bay," Makena stated.
"A country that's already on our radar or you mean someone else?" Ross asked.
"That is all we can say for now. Please, alert me if your government decides to act on their suspicions." Ramonda spoke.
"Uh, yeah sure. Uh look, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I owe Shuri my life." Ross said. Makena sighed before clicking onto the screen and hanging up.
"Griot, did Shuri have her earrings with her?" Ramonda asked.
"I lost track of them in the North Atlantic. But the people who took her spoke Yucatec, Mayan." Griot informed.
Makena and Ramonda shared looks, both having the same idea but Makena sighed, not sure of it.

Makena stood next to Ramonda in Haiti, wearing black ripped mom jeans and a tied up Rihanna shirt, with her black boots of course.
"Hello," Makena spoke in Haitian to the kids.
Three of them ran towards them and Makena kneeled down at the boy's height. "Come to see the director?" The boy spoke, he reminded her a lot of T'Challa for some reason.
Makena nodded and he smiled, taking her hand and leading her down the halls as the two girls took ahold of Ramonda's hands. The boy pointed at the beautiful woman in a bright pink dress. "There it is," he pointed at the woman.
The kids ran off and Makena smiled, looking around the peaceful place. For once she didn't feel any actual anger in the place.
"Hello," Ramonda spoke. The woman turned around at the voice and Makena smiled at Nakia. She had beautiful long locs, telling Makena she finally let her hair grow out. "Please, excuse us." Nakia told the children. They all nodded, walking past Ramonda and Makena, greeting them before leaving the hall.
"Queen Mother," Nakia bowed slighly. "Makena." She greeted. Makena gave her a small smile with a nod.
"Everything is a lesson here for the children," Nakia explained as she walked them through the halls of the building. "They painted the walls. They feed the fish. They grow everything we eat."
"I recognize some of the concepts here but you are using different material." Ramonda spoke.
"Yes, we use stricty what we can find here in Haiti," Nakia replied.
"You were missed, at T'Challa's funeral," Ramonda said, stopping in her tracks.
Nakia's face dropped, "Oh." She walked over to one of the windows, holding onto the railing near it. "Queen Mother-"
"It's been six years since you left us. We thought you would at least come back for the ceremony," Ramonda interrupted, genuinely curious as to why Nakia didn't show up.
Makena crossed her hands over her chest, looking out the window as the two spoke.
"I was afraid. Of how final the funeral would be."
"Nakia, daughter of Ya. Wherever you go, you are still Wakandan. And you know death is not the end." Ramonda said, placing her hand on Nakia's cheek in reassurance. "Thanks."
"How is everyone at home?" Nakia asked with a smile.
"Shuri, has been taken," Ramonda said and Nakia's face dropped and she looked at Makena who glanced at her over her shoulder. Nakia looked back to Ramonda, "What?"
"You have infiltrated many nations before," Ramonda hinted. Nakia shook her head, catching onto what Ramonda was suggesting.
"That was a long time ago. I was a different person then," Nakia objected. "You have Makena, she's stronger and better at this than me," Nakia comprised, gesturing to the woman.
"I need someone who can find where she is being held and rescue her without being seen. Makena does not have control right now, if she does it then she will start a war," Ramonda countered.
"Who on Earth would risk war with Wakanda?"

"So, did you find it? Where is it?" Makena rushed over as Nakia entered the aircraft.
Nakia backed up slightly as Makena's hands were glowing purple. Makena furrowed her brows in confusion and looked down at her hands. She sighed, and took a breath and the purple slowly went away.
"Sorry."
"You need to stay here, Makena." Nakia walked over to the controls and entered the location. The aircraft automatically took off there and Makena pursed her lips, still not liking that they didn't want her to help with getting Shuri.
She understood she didn't have control but it was worth the risk if it meant saving Shuri.
Makena exited one of the rooms with her suit on and Ramonda gave her a look. "It's just in case," Makena mumbled but Ramonda wasn't so reassured.
"Queen Mother, I found her signal. It's coming from an underwater cave. If she's down there I'm sure I'll encounter resistance. How would you like me to proceed?" Nakia's voice came through the coms.
"Retrieve the Princess, by any means necessary. I will attempt to draw, Namor out." Queen responded.
Makena hit the button to open one of the latches that T'Challa would use to when he to drop out of the aircraft when he was Black Panther.
"Makena, stay here," Ramonda ordered.
"Sorry, Queen, but I don't take orders from you. I'm getting my girl back," Makena shrugged. Before Ramonda could stop her, Makena fell through the hole. She hit the ground, landing a bit roughly and tracked Nakia's Kimoyo Beads. She ran to her location and found the small area leading underwater. Makena clicked the button that put over a protective oxygen shield over her before she dived into the water.
Makena swam down and grabbed onto the back of Nakia's hoverbike that turned into an underwater bike. Nakia turned to look at who grabbed it and sighed seeing it was Makena.

"If you tell the Americans about us, if you try to find us, or if I discover a single Wakandan ship in the Ocean. I will kill the princess. I will come to Wakanda, and I will kill you." Namor spoke to Ramonda on the beach.
"You made the greatest mistake of your life, threatening the Princess," Ramonda spoke, not looking him in the eyes.
"And why is that?" Namor asked, cockily I may add.
"I'm surprised you do not know. The Princess's girlfriend, is the very person you fear. Which is why you tried to kill her immediately," Ramonda spoke, turning her head to look at Namor. He furrowed his brows in confusion, surprised the Princess made no mention of a girlfriend, and that it was Makena.
"Makena would burn the world and everyone in it, if it made the Princess even slightly happy. And you know she would," Ramonda stated.
Namor's face dropped and for once he actually had fear in his eyes. "Tell me, Namor. Why, do you fear Makena more than you fear war with Wakanda?"
"Makena's very purpose is to protect what she loves. There is stories about her, legends about what she is capable of. I didn't believe it, until I was told her hands held a purple glow to them. That very ability gives her the power to see into the future. But no, I am not scared of her anymore. Now that I know what can kill her, and what her weakness is." Namor spoke.
Ramonda glanced down in thought, wondering if Makena herself even knew about this. Kenni would've told her if it was true. She was sure of it.

Makena swam up to the cave and pulled Nakia up. "You get the scientist. I'll get Shuri," Makena instructed. Nakia didn't argue knowing Makena wouldn't give this up.
Makena pulled out her pocket knife and turning it into a gun that shot basically some kind of deadly purple power. Makena held up her gun going one way as Nakia went the other way. Shuri stood up seeing Makena, and the Talokans noticed her. "Ay!"
Makena pointed her gun at the woman, "Drop your spear." Makena said in Mayan.
"Kill the princess!" The woman went to throw her spear at Shuri but Makena shot out her hand and threw the woman into the wall, knocking her unconscious and Nakia caught the spear and went over to Riri.
The other Talokan woman pulled out a knife and held it to Shuri's neck. Makena pointed her gun at them, trying to see how to shoot her without hurting Shuri.
"Drop the knife!" Makena spoke, her anger rising even more.
"You are the reason to kill her," She spoke.
"I give you one last chance. Drop it. Or will kill you." Makena spoke, her hands glowing brighter with each word. The woman took shaky breaths, unsure what to do.
"Shuri," Makena spoke and Shuri looked at her after having glanced over to see Riri behind Nakia.
"Move your left arm," Makena spoke in Xhosa so the woman wouldn't understand.
Shuri did as told and Makena shot the woman in her abdomen. Shuri kneeled down to the woman in concern. "Are you well?" Nakia asked Shuri and Riri.
Riri nodded as Makena looked around before walking over, turning her gun back into a pocket knife and pocketing it.
"Give me your beads!" Shuri demanded at Makena, hovering over to woman who was slowly dying. "Let's go!" Nakia rushed.
"Give me your beads! I can save her!" Shuri raised her voice.
"We don't have time for this, Shuri! Do not play with me, let's go!" Makena argued.
"Shuri, I don't know who this lady is but I trust Makena and if she says we gotta go then we need to listen to her!" Riri rushed out.
"Listen, I hit her with a purple sonic round, it's lethal from this distance. There's no chance-"
"You don't understand. This will mean war!" Shuri argued back.
"Then so be it!"
"We need to go!" Nakia spoke again, looking around to see if anyone was coming.
Nakia grabbed Riri and Makena grabbed Shuri and they lead them out of the cave. Makena removed her oxygen mask attached to her suit and placed it on Shuri. Nakia gave Riri an extra one she had and Nakia got into the hoverbike. Shuri, Riri and Makena all grabbed ahold of it, Makena holding her breath for as long as she could.
Makena gasped for breath as they reached the top. The aircraft hovered above them and levitated them up into the ship and rushed off.
Makena stumbled over to the wall of the aircraft, suddenly falling against the wall as Shuri embraced her mother. Riri immediately kneeled down over to Makena in concern.
"Did they hurt you?" Ramonda asked in concern, pulling away from Shuri.
"No, no." Ramonda sighed in relief.
"Thank you," Ramonda said to Nakia.
"You're welcome." She replied in Xhosa.
"Ay, uhm is this normal?!" Riri called over, gesturing the Makena's purple eyes and purple hands. Shuri immediately ran over and kneeled down next to Makena.
"Griot," Ramonda spoke.
"Yes, my queen."
"Return us to Wakanda at once!"
Ramonda and Nakia rushed over to Makena as well and Shuri grabbed out the vibranium ejector. Ramonda grabbed Shuri's hand before she could stab it into Makena's chest.
"It is not vibranium. I have reason to believe, it is related to the stones." Ramonda spoke.
"Infinity Stones?" Ramonda nodded in confirmation. "Well how do I fix her? Is she dying?" Shuri asked in worry, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"There is no fixing her. We must wait till she awakens." Ramonda said.
Shuri sighed and nodded. Shuri and Nakia pulled up Makena's body and laid her down on the hovering table. (like in the first movie, the table Ross was on)
"How long is this gonna take?" Riri asked, holding onto Makena's hand that was no longer glowing but Makena's eyes still were. Shuri looked at the hand placement with a slight glare before Nakia nudged her out of it.
"I am not sure. Hopefully soon. We're gonna need her," Shuri managed to stutter out. She looked down, avoiding eye contact with the younger girl. If she made eye contact all she would wanna do is punch the girl in face for even laying a finger on her Makena.
"Why?"
"Because we started a war, and she is the only person capable of helping us win it right now."

[IMPORTANT PLEASE READ]
a.n: okay so makenas mother is Egyptian, and she comes from a powerful bloodline designed to fight for a specific purpose. makenas purpose is to fight for love, but love is also her weakness, like namor hints.
now for her powers they were gifted to her when she was born, her ancestors gave her the power to see ahead to the future and past (time stone)
She can also read minds through physical touch + telekinesis (mind stone) given to her by hydra
and she has the ability to use the exact power as the power stone only she doesn't need the power stone to use them. therefore the purple glowing. (sorta like wandas powers except she doesn't do spells or magic, it's just purple energy that she can use with her hands) given to her by ancestors
namor coming to Wakanda triggered her powers because of what he does to ramonda in the future, therefore triggering the powers she was gifted with. it's why she's been filled with such uncontrollable rage, because her subconscious knows what he does in the future
now makena is strong enough to take on namor one on one. but she can't do it when her mind is only driven on vengeance and such, therefore why she won't be able to beat namor on her own.
what namor meant by her purpose was because he read that makenas powers when in control, can give her the power to take down an entire nation, which is why he fears what she is capable of.
if you're still confused about anything else lmk! im glad to answer your questions :) also this is completely made up by me lol
omg and i made the makena book...
