22. The How Works
Y/N's POV
Now it was our time heist brainstorming session, we were in the meeting room with the guys as we figured out which stone is where and when we have to collect from.
Steve and Tony were up there for a presentation, as the rest of us stayed seated. I tried to remember where I could've encountered a stone.
Steve: Okay, so the how works, now we gotta figure out the when and the where. Almost everyone in this room has had an encounter with at least one of the six infinity stones.
Tony: Or substitute the word 'encounter' for damn near been killed by one of the six infinity stones.
Scott: Well I haven't but I don't even know what the hell you're all talking about.
He stated, making me hold a smirk, Bruce then came in from behind, readjusting his glasses.
Bruce: Regardless. We only have enough Pym particles for one round trip each and these stones have been in a lot of different places throughout history.
Bruce explained, circling around the table.
Tony: Our History. So, not a lot of convenient spots to just drop in.
I looked at them whilst munching on a salad, why? Because my mother told me too. And I always listen to my mother.
Clint: Which means we have to pick our targets.
Tony: Correct.
Steve: So let's start with the aether, Thor what do you know?
The absence of his reply causes us to turn around and see the beer belly man on the chair, his sunglasses covering his eyes which meant that he was asleep.
Natasha: Is he asleep?
Rhodey: No, I'm pretty sure he's dead.

After getting information about the reality stone which we were able to get out of Thor with struggle. We pinpointed the locations of the power stone and soul stone.
Now I was up there, eating my bowl of salad standing up as I explained where the mind stone was.
Y/N: Uh... well, when I was used by Hydra, they'd bring me out of my cryo-naps and... use me as a weapon...
I say slightly sadly, remembering the dark times of my past before shaking my head and answering.
Y/N: Well I remember seeing the scepter every time I was taken out, so yeah, the scepter was always next to me in a way.
Natasha: We got the scepter back from Hydra in 2015, so any years after 2012 to 2014, is where we can find the scepter.
Y/N: Done, that's the mind stone.
The search continues and we start to filter out the teams, we figured that there's two stones in New York aswell.
Eric agreed to come with me to steal the mind stone.

We decided to take a ten minute break whilst Bruce sorted out the equipment with Tony.
I sat against the edge of a table, calling Pepper so I could talk to Jeannie. I missed her so much and wanted to talk to her.
Taking the phone to my ears, I hear Pepper hand the phone to Jeannie and I then hear my daughter's angelic and innocent voice.
Y/N: Little phoenix?
Jeannie: Daddy?
Y/N: Yes it's daddy. How are you doing? Staying out of trouble?
Jeannie: Uhmmm not really, Morgan and me accidentally spilled paint on the floor. I didn't mean it tho.
I chuckle, taking in how well she was raised by Wanda and I.
Y/N: Of course not. But at least you were honest and that's the most important thing.
Jeannie: Daddy I miss you.
She says, I hear slight sadness from the infant's tone. I sigh and my smile wears off a bit. But I have to stay strong, for her and Wanda.
Y/N: I miss you so much more, and I'm coming home soon.
Jeannie: How soon?
Aw. She's just like her mother. I smile behind the phone and laugh.
Y/N: Alright, I'll tell you what, if I'm not home by the time you count to a thousand, you tell Aunt Pepper that I said you can have a second treat before dinner.
Jeannie: Promise?
Y/N: That's a promise, and I always keep my promises.
Jeannie: Okay daddy, I'll see you later I'm gonna watch ninja turtles!
Y/N: Okay baby, just know I love you so much, Mama loves you so much, and grandma loves you too.
Jeannie: I love you too, daddy. Bye!
Y/N: Bye, my love.
I kiss the phone before it ends, I then look up to see Clint standing with a smile on his face, like he was in awe.
Clint: You're a good father, Y/N. I hope you realise that, and I hope Wanda comes back. You all deserve happiness.
I smiled back nodding, I stood up and shook his hand.
Clint: It's time to go pal.

3rd Person POV
Steve: Alright, we have a plan, 6 stones, 4 teams... one shot.
Y/N, Tony, Steve, Bruce, Thor, Natasha, Clint, Rhodey, Scott, Rocket, Eric and Nebula.
It was up to these twelve people, to bring back half the universe.
Steve: Two years ago we lost. All of us. We lost friends.
Steve: We lost family.
Steve: We lost a part of ourselves.
Steve: Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams. You know your missions. Get the stones. Get them back.
Steve: One round trip each, no mistakes... no do-overs... Most of us are going somewhere we know, that doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for eachother.
Steve: This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win.
Tony looked at his friend, smiling. He looked back, with determination and a promise.
Steve: Whatever it takes.
Y/N smiled, eager knowing that he can finally have his family back along with half of the universe.
Steve: Good luck.
Rocket: He's pretty good at that.
Scott: Right?
Y/N: I agree.
Once Bruce got onto the platform, everyone assembled into a circle, Y/N tapped Eric's hand.
Y/N: You ready, kid?
Eric: Don't call me that ever again.
The two chuckled, everyone was all smiles knowing this was an event changing moment.
Clint: See you in a minute.
Y/N flashed the fellow father a smile, the two men were about to get their families back.
The machine began to start up, noises of a generator starting up. The twelve Heroes activated their masks which went over their heads, they looked up awaiting.
Then suddenly all twelve were sucked into a golden hole, being directed to their respective timelines to carry out the mission of retrieving the stones.

A/N: Maybe Steve is right about not knowing what to expect....
