"So it was fate, huh?"You hissed after cursing lowly underneath your breath as if God needs you to run over to the source of the explosion.

Once your range is close enough, sure you could hear voices bickering filling the tense air. You aren't expecting to see a boy with raven-colored hair boy arguing with a boy who has snowy white hair. Soon after they parted away and the boy with dark raven hair curled into a ball in the middle of snow and wrecked-looking villages as if the disaster just happened.

Now, you currently have a dilemma with yourself and mentally debating whether to approach him or not. But your heart screaming a loud yes while your feet only wobbles at the spot, showing the sign that your legs are almost at their limits.

But if you leave him, you might be regretting this for the rest of your life if he died. What a pain in the ass.

You went over toward that raven-haired boy and bent down to his level, asking, "What happened here?"

It took a moment for him to lift his face up and immediately lock his eyes with yours after you inquired another question,

"Who are you?"

"Why do you even care?"He asked, narrowing his eyes in alertness. The way his glare pierced through your skull, you back away with hands up to your chest level in surrender,

"Relax. I don't mean any harm. I will leave if you want to."You scoffed with arms folded across your chest at his attitude but your hands flew up to your mouth and gasped when the upper half of his body suddenly naked. He somehow didn't realize it.

At this deadly cold temperature, how can he—

"When are you going to leave?"

There was silence for a while and you ended up coughing into your fist, shoving your hands in the pockets of your coat.

"How about you?"You asked, muttering it before softly kicking the pebble and that took him off guard, even your next question too,

"Are you going to stay here like this?"

"I... don't know."

You raised an eyebrow and asked another one without hesitation.

"Where are your parents?"

A long silence. But his next answer left you choking your saliva in shock.

"They're dead."

"Sorry about that."You spoke nervously, backing away to you can create a good distance between the two of you. "I'll be leaving now."

"But before that..."You trail off your words, waiting for him to look up his gaze off the ground. And he eventually did when you didn't finish your sentence.

"Your wish. Say it and I shall grant it. Of course, I can't bring the dead back up alive. Something reasonable at least. That's the last favor I could do for you before I go back."You shrugged your shoulders when he only stared at you as if you were some ridiculously weird person that didn't have any brain cells left.

"You're spewing nonsense."He shook his head and switched his gaze back to the ground.

He didn't mean to say that and want to believe it badly. But his logic didn't allow him to. Knowing that if he utters out his wish, you would claim that it would be something impossible.

"Oh really?"Your whole face scowled as if he's making fun of your words and ready to depart back to your guild, "Then I'll assume you don't have one."

With that, you left him.

And he hates it.

"I don't want to be alone."He mumbled, knowing no one could hear him. Let his despair devour him slowly.

But thanks to your exceptionally good hearing, his ridiculously low murmur reached your ears.

Your lips cracked a small grin and spun your heels way back to his direction, your footsteps that crunched against the snow drew his attention back to you. However, his eyes flickered with some hope though he would deny it badly if you ever say it.

"Then what're you still doing on the ground? Get up and come with me."

"Huh? Whoa—!!"You effortlessly pull him to his feet, making his eyes widen when you're now holding his hand while dragging him somewhere.

"You're joining a guild with me."

"Wha—T-That's not what I ask—"

"Trust me. You won't be alone."

"A guild..."He mumbled and your ears perked up.

"Yes?"You look over your shoulder, patiently waiting for him to continue when he then lifted his gaze to yours. Pink hue radiating across his cheeks — a color that surprisingly looks good on him — as he inquires the question in a bashful manner,

"What does it feel like?"

"I don't know honestly because I joined like three weeks ago?"You hummed and cracked a small laugh. He looks at you as if—no, like you're crazy but before he could voice out his inner thought, your laughter died down.

"But I couldn't give you a solid answer for that when all guilds are different but mine is the best. For me and for now at least."

He remained silent when you soon continued,

"Fairy Tail, that's the name of my guild that has a lot of mages. They also treat each guildmate like a family. A really freaking huge family."You emphasized while making a round hands motion with a bright smile.

"Family?"He asked and you grinned, finally looking at him in the eyes. He didn't know your [ color ] eyes could be this bright.

"Maybe they couldn't compare with yours but I already make a promise to you that you'll never be alone.."

You wrapped your scarf around him, "Come on, it's cold right now. You don't want to catch a cold before we arrive there, aren't ya?" You asked, smirking at him but he scoffed.

"The cold never bother me anyway."

You squinting your eyes at him and rolling your eyes playfully, "Sureeee. So I guess you don't need this."

You were about to unwrap your scarf but he stopped you from doing it further.

"I didn't say that I don't like it, am I?"

You snorted at his answer.
