The Silvan elves that had survived the attack of Ummamrod found out the royal family had not survived. Their king and princes were dead. Their homeland was destroyed. Where once the beautiful forest stood was now no more than an empty land. It was nothing more than sand.

The elves of the once Woodland Realm did not know what to do. Caladhiel and Narsil supported them everywhere they could. Some left for Lothlórien, while others sought their refuge in Rivendell. Caladhiel went with the elves to Rivendell, while Narsil and Amarië went towards Lothlórien.

Arwen and Aragorn went back to Minas Tirith. Both would not go on an adventure any time soon. Varonwe joined his cousin, but decided to wander in Gondor. He did not want to return to the North; he was afraid to go back. He didn't want to come near to Bree. What if Victoria's family recognised him? They would blame him for her death. By the Valar, he blamed himself. He could not bear it and Varonwe dwelled in Gondor. Too afraid to get attached to someone again. His heart was locked.

Norin and Elrohir returned to their home in Rivendell but in stead of five, there were only three of the line of Elrond left. They had lost their sister and their brother. Their hearts ached for them, but they would never come back and the empty places in their hearts could never be filled again. It was a cruel world.

Though it took years, everyone started to slowly heal from everything they had lost. Hope and love started to fill their hearts again. They would not dwell in loss forever.

The stars of Middle Earth will someday rise again.

That is a promise.
