𝐕 ─ like trying to catch smoke.

Third person's POV:

"Does it hurt terribly Draco?" Pansy asked examining his arm sucking up to him.

"Comes and goes," Draco answered dramatically over a mere scratch, "Still, I consider myself lucky. Madam Pomfrey said another minute or two, and I could've lost my arm. Couldn't possibly do any homework for weeks."

"Listen to that idiot," Ron observed, "He's really laying it on thick isn't he?"

"It's taking everything in me right now to cause real pain to the prat," Y/n joined fusing with impatience.

Harry fixed his jewelled eyes to y/n's angered ones to only chuckle at her antics, "At least Hagrid didn't get fired."

"HES BEEN SIGHTED," a voice from not to far away from the quarter called, "HES BEEN SIGHTED!"

who?

"Sirius black."

And as that specific name was announced the three looked to Harry in sync. Ron and Hermione held worried looks thought Y/n's expression could tell otherwise. Her face stared blankly at Harry's trying to analyze how he would react to this. Harry could only make the effort to lock eyes with Y/n. The only pair of eyes he really needed at that moment.

The quartet entered the commotion of students studying the brown parchment news paper of a vicious picture of Sirius Black. Hermione snatched the paper closer in view and started,
"Dufftown? Thats not far from here..."

Neville was quick to question something we all had in mind, "You don't think he'll come to Hogwarts, do you?"

"With dementors at every entrance? Seamus evoked, "He already slipped past them once. Who's to say he won't do it again."

Before y/n could cut their tongues for provoking Harry's anxiousness, Bem did talk of important matter such,
"That's right, Black could be anywhere. It's like trying to catch smoke." He spoke and continued, "Like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands."

We all fixed our sights to the paper covered in every inch on info of black. Hair untamed and distressed, anger impulsing, and face covered in a deep dirt tint. Eyes dark as his name.

The Gryffindor common room slowly emptied as the students of the house parted into their dormitories for the night.
The lioness girls of the house went up to their rooms, as so with the lions of the house.
It was all until Ron, Hermione, Harry, and y/n were left in the red tinted towered room.

The fire was trickling and cackling, the windows were scened with a starry sapphire sky, and filled with a relaxed energy striking through every inch of air held in the common room.

Although Harry's nerves were still wrecked after his discussion with his friends subjected on Black, he noticed y/n made an effort to destress him.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow morning," Hermione sending her redheaded, raven-haired, and h/c friend their 'good nights' walking up the paved stairs to her shared dorm.

"Right, same with me," Ron followed her routine heading to the boys dormitories, "Good night you two." He said with a desperate tired look painted on his face lightly.

That left them two

Harry and Y/n

In the tall ceilinged tower, the two Gryffindors were left the room for themselves. Harry stayed out on the arm chair losing his self conscious staring at the sizzling fire drowning in his worries to which of course, y/n was quick to notice.

The e/c girl tilted her head looking at Harry stare into the fire. She looked at him with rested expressions and a steady breath pace.
She slowly walked over to the arm chair Harry sat worrying his nerves in and sat criss cross in front of him. Harry looked down and couldn't help the urge to send her a grateful grin for staying with him in the empty room.

"Sirius Black on your mind," y/n began crossing her arms and resting them on Harry's lap staring up and him. He merely had enough energy to just nod so slightly enough for y/n to understand he did.

Y/n held her glance looking up at the emerald iris wandering hers. Her brows furrowed and her lips grew into a one sided grin,
"Like the idea of sneaking out?" Y/n asked Harry raising her left brow in curiosity.

"Going out with a killer on the loose and me being a victim doesn't do any better for the situation I'm glued into right now y/n," Harry suddenly snapped staring right into her eyes illuminated by the moonlight that shone onto her face complexion in a godly manner.

Y/n's eyes narrowed at Harry emerald's, removed her hands from the comfortable position they two were both in, and fixed sights to the crimson fire that seemed to elicit at y/n's focus.

Harry came back to his senses and inhaled a sharp breath realizing what just slipped out of his mouth dumbfounded. He was quick to take his hand out and guide y/n's gaze back to him with his fingers gently under her chin, "Sorry, I get random bursts sometimes," with a truthful tone in his apologetic voice.
Y/n only stared at him with unreadable expressions and understood, he was in the right, "No that's a valid reason." She said sternly.

Harry tucked in a piece of y/n's hair strands interfering with her godly face complexion to his view and held her up to her feet by her hands and guided her to the frame.
"Harry-" y/n reassured but was cut off by hair turning back to face her with a sharp serene smirk plastered on his cherry lips and eyes glistening knowingly just where to take this fiery spirited girl to enjoy their time.

Knowing Harry was taking Y/n outside as she first suggested made a content sickness infect her face with such bliss. The two 3rd years ran through the halls hand-in-hand with the wind brushing against their skins and travelling down the solid textured stairs. Much jubilant aura were left in their tracks from their glowing grins.

After a run of a minute or two they were by the Black Lake. Harry took in a deep breath and exhaled in relaxation with a slight pant in his breathing pace and moved his vision to y/n.

If only Collin Creevey was here to capture the look beaming from her very face, Harry thought.

Y/n started in shock, "This- Harry this is just like the forest and lake-" but cut own herself to a surprised scoff. Tracing her view, she was eyeing a big barked tree with droopy foliage over the woods and unique shaped leaves supported from the branches.

This face was priceless. It could make my worries drown into the depths of the Black lake, Harry thought once again.

"What's the place called, Harry?" Y/n questioned not breaking her view from the scenery.

"The Black Lake," Harry answered not breaking his view from her twinkling eyes.

"The Black Lake?" Y/n then turned to Harry raising both eyebrows and a 'seriously-' grin on her face, "Convenient name, given the mass murder chasing you right now."

Harry only had the time to let out a deep chuckle before y/n grabbed his hand and stood right before the tall viridescent barked tree.

Y/n let loose of Harry's hand and walked behind the tree out of Harry's sight. Harry turned around to take in the blue moonshine and the rippling water from the chilly breeze and averted his gaze back to the tree. He went around the tree but couldn't spot y/n and froze in his tracks. Eyes went wide and mind thinking limitlessly.

"What's bothering you?" The h/c haired said from above Harry on a sturdy branch contented to the bark tree. Harry looked up in alarm and kept the wide eyes but let a surprised questioning grin.

"Come," Y/n said unbothered.

Harry went up from the back of the tree's bark that were almost liked stairs purposely and sat next to y/n. She didn't break eye contact with the moon as if they were having a stare-down.

"Now really, what is bothering you?" Y/n started averting her gaze to the boy with such rural eyes and artfully messy hair.

Harry took in a deep breath and began to spill out every thought that had come across his mind this day and exhaled deeply after pouring his mind out.

Y/n kept her gaze to Harry and simply thought, "Boy who lived," in a foxy steady voice with a smirk plastered onto her lips.

"Chosen One," Harry joined in a cocky manner.

Y/n only scoffed and pushed Harry off the branch right to the verdant autumn grass.

"Y/N!" Harry shrieked in a whisper-yell.
To that cue, she too jumped down and sat on the grass laying her back onto the bottom bark of the tree casually. Harry caught his breath to join y/n.

Harry was grateful to be with her. Grateful to see this with her. Grateful to live this with her.

Y/n slumped further down into her position that was now a slouchy sitting position with legs extended comfortably to which Harry motioned himself to lay head on lap to.

His head rested on y/n's restless lap. She fixed her view straight the the deep blue water rippling quietly and stroking Harry's raven-hair.

Harry faced the water too soothed by her touch. Y/n had now been tracing his lightening shaped scar with cautious fingers and only chuckled to herself in disbelief to what this boy's life was.

Harry didn't hesitate to take her hand from his scar into his hand and started to play with it in hopes all the anxiousness drowning Harry would disappear.

"We've ought to head back to the common room, Harold."

"Harold?" Harry shifted his head gazing upwards to face hers with an annoyed grin.

"If Ron is Ronald, it's only fair that you're  Harold," Y/n said back in a tired yet witty tone.

Harry got up groaning but held a hand out to help y/n get up.
"Gentlemen much," Y/n scoffed to his hand out to then shoo it off and got up on her two feet to which Harry shook his head at with his grin still pasted on his lips.

Harry threw her arm over shoulder and the two walked back to the castle laughing about how silly they perceived divination class as through the grassy fields and the stoned corridors.

The two troublesome Gryffindors snuck up back to their common room the quietest they could manage.

"Fortuna Major," Harry whisper-yelled to wake the lady in the portrait.
"Fortuna Major," Harry repeated in the same tone.
"Fortuna Maj-" Harry was to repeat again but cut by y/n's impatient normal toned voice,

"Fortuna Major." Y/n woke the lady with an irritated tone lingering from her words.

"How much longer if this Merlin," the lady in the portrait complained opening the doors.

Harry and Y/n swapped piqued looks and headed inside the common room only filled up with them two.

It wasn't too long till Harry made sudden movements and hugged y/n appreciatively nestling his head into the crook of her neck, "thank you," he whispered muffled by her h/c hair.

Both Harry and Y/n, herself, knew she wasn't the quickest to open up to people with hugs knowing that Harry was lucky enough to be a person she did to.

"Yeah, yeah, okay Harold," y/n broke from the hug with a smirk and scoffed, "good night chosen one," with a sarcastic look and jazz hands and walked up the stairs to the girls dormitories with girls who were already in their dreams.

Harry stood in the common room with slight goosebumps and lids that could barely stay open dreamily taking in what just happened.
He walked up the stairs lightheadedly to the boys dormitories already hearing Ron's snore chiming stridently.

Secretly from both towers, Harry and y/n tucked themselves in the cotton duvets of their beds and looked up to their ceilings with tired eyes, Harry in his tower, and y/n in hers.

(A/n Okok so this was just a chapter to make u just go more lovestruck and as for next chapter, we will be attending Lupin's DADA class about boggarts.
