Perched on top of a building, Ricky called Aunt May tapping his fingers against his phone as the phone continued to ring but there was no answer. He had become worried, going back and forth from calling Michelle and May to know that they had made it safe to her old apartment. Thinking of changing route to see if the girls had made it there, May finally picked up the phone. "Ricky-"
"Aunt May, are you guys okay?" Ricky interrupted her. "I said to call as soon as you made it to Michelle's place and it's been twenty minutes since you guys left, I was worried as hell."
"We're fine, honey. Michelle had actually forgotten her keys back at our house so we had to make a quick stop at her mother's house. You remember Carolina, right? She was asking about you and I had completely forgotten and almost let it slip that you were Webhead--"
"Aunt May, I-"
"Don't worry! If I was able to keep Peter's a secret, I can assure you that I can keep yours a secret. What, do you not trust your old Aunt May?"
Ricky sighed. "May, you know you're one of the few I trust. I just wanted to call to know how you both were. I love you, okay?"
"I love you." May was now in tears. "I know you can protect yourself against him and we need you here with us."
Ricky nodded, trying to keep from crying. "It's what I've been training for, right? Peter didn't do all of this for nothing. We all know that. Can you please pass me to M really quick?"
May sniffled, walking back to the living room until she found Michelle. Ricky muttered a quick 'I love you' to May before Michelle answered the phone. "Ricky, hey."
Ricky looked out into the city as he was trying to prepare to what he was going to say to her. "Michelle, I need you to listen—I don't know exactly how it's going to go down tonight but just incase anything happens...I want you and May to get out of New York as soon as possible."
"Are you insane? We're not going anywhere! We're staying right here until you come back to us."
"Michelle, he was actually after me this whole time," Ricky interrupted. "He was going to kill me that night and Peter got in his way. I won't be surprised if he did it tonight and I don't want you and May to suffer anymore. Get away from this place while you can."
Ricky had to end the call abruptly just as he was about to say goodbye, he heard the sound of a glider behind him. He whipped around, seeing Roman staring down at him. "You were too much of a coward, you just had to run away, huh?"
He looked away, not bearing to look at him and even after his sudden transformation to the Green Goblin. Roman showed no emotion before speaking up. "I never wanted you to find out–"
"Why? Just so you could continue see how miserable I was after Peter's death? It makes me fucking sick to even think that my brother's killer was my own bestfriend! You went to his funeral, you comforted me, you even said your condolences to May and Michelle–"
"Well, now you know what it's like to lose a brother," Roman clenched his jaw as he narrowed his eyes. "Even when that night my target was you. It wasn't even supposed to be him, it was supposed to be you!"
Ricky had become pissed, shooting webs from both hands to swing himself towards Roman, knocking him off his glider. Roman was able to push him off, desperately trying to grab onto one of the bombs before Ricky kicked them away. "You still think Peter was the reason for Harry's death–"
"Peter was the cause of his death! He didn't do anything and left him to die!"
"The only shit that comes out of your mouth are lies! Harry jumped in front of his own blades to save Peter, same with what happened with your father! Peter stayed."
"He watched them die!" Roman attacked him, Ricky hurriedly swinging away. He wasn't able to go far before Roman threw him towards the top of the building.
Ricky rolled over, groaning as tried to get back on his feet before Roman grabbed him by the throat, pinning him back down. He clawed at his hands but that only made Roman tighten his grip.
"Any last words, Richard?"
Someone from behind suddenly swung a crowbar at him to get him off of Ricky, him finally taking off his mask to gasp for air. He looked over to find Giselle slowly dropping the crowbar as she stared down at Ricky. "Did I just kill him?"
Ricky was still trying to catch his breath as Giselle helped him up. "What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here right now–"
"You didn't answer my question, Ricky–did I just kill Roman?"
"You didn't kill him-" Keeping an eye on Roman who was only a few feet away, he pulled her to the side. Giselle was shaking as she waited for an answer but he shushed her, holding her hands with his. "Breathe, okay? You just knocked him out, um, he's going to wake up in a couple of minutes but you don't have to worry anymore."
With trying to get her to calm down, he completely forgot that he was unmasked and knew who both of them were. He frowned, pulling away as he looked at her. "Wait, you don't seem surprised about me being Spider-Man? How did you even know where I was?"
"Your sister-in-law Michelle?" She waved her phone. "I'm assuming she called the wrong person but when you didn't hang up and heard all the commotion, she said that you found out Roman was actually the one who killed Peter and that you were on your way to his house but she was afraid that you would get hurt so she wanted someone to come help you...when she realized that I wasn't the person, she lied and said that it was just a dream she had. Plus, you weren't so good at disguising your voice that one time you saved me so I guess we're even?"
Ricky was taken aback, not believing that Michelle had revealed his secret. He stuck his hand out for her to shake but she went in for a hug instead. "You should really get out of here before he wakes up but, uh, maybe I'll see you later?"
She smiled, nodding at him. "Yeah, you'll definitely see me later."
Ricky returned back to Roman, who had regained consciousness but made no move to fight. "Are you going to kill me now? Just like Peter did to my father and Harry?"
"No matter how much I want to–I'm not going to do it because that's not who WebHead is." Ricky put his hands behind his back, shooting a web to keep him there as he rolled him off the building. "But I will make sure that you're locked away for what you've done."
"Woah, woah, woah–what are you doing!?" Roman shrieked, being pushed off and waiting to hit the ground before knowing that he was dangling from the light post. "Ricky! Ricky, let me down! Ricky!"
Ricky watched him cry helplessly before hearing the police sirens and deciding on swinging away but not until making sure Roman didn't try to escape.

Ricky swung on top of the building, dropping to his knees before rolling over on his back. He was extremely tired but managed to look up at the cloudy sky. "I did it, Pete. I did it, I freaking did it. He's going to rot wherever they send him, I'll be sure of it. I promise."
He clenched his jaw, blinking away the tears. "I hope you're proud of me...not killing him or whatever? I don't know. I just wish really hope I made you proud tonight. Just give me a sign or something, I don't know, tell me that you're here with me."
Ricky sighed, closing his eyes before suddenly feeling drops of water falling on his face until it began to pour hard. "Is that really your way of saying thank you?" He laughed. "You're welcome, bro."
After taking a quick nap on top of the roof, he made his way over to Michelle's apartment knocking on the door. "Aunt May? Michelle? It's me, open the door."
"How do I know it's Ricky and not some stranger? Tell me something only Ricky knows!" He heard Aunt May say from the inside.
Ricky tapped his finger against the door, too exhausted to even think. "Uhh–for my seventh birthday you hired a clown for my party but when you realized I was afraid of him, you and Peter tried kicking him out but he wasn't leaving until he got his money but you were like 'no i'm not paying you, you're scaring my nephew' and–"
May didn't let him finish the story before she opened the door to let him in. "Aw, my Ricky." She pulled him in for a hug while Ricky noticed Michelle poking her head out to make sure it was actually him before running out to join them.
"We're so happy to see you." Michelle squeezed him tight. "Did everything turn out okay? What happened to Roman? Is it all over?"
Ricky nodded. "Roman is going where he's meant to be. Somewhere far away from all of us. It's all over."
"Peter's proud." May whispered.
Michelle grinned. "Must be jumping up and down from excitement going, 'that's my f– brother!'
