The home that was once filled with laughter and happiness had now turned silent and cold with only the clanking of forks against the plates. Michelle and Ricky sat across from each other while Aunt May sat on one end while staring at the empty seat in front of her-which was Peter's.
Aunt May had still tried to cheer herself up along with Ricky and Michelle by doing their regular family festivities but it didn't feel the same without Peter. And that was something they would have to get used to.
Ricky returned to school once he felt somewhat better. He received a kiss on the cheek from Aunt May, who was also returning to work as a nurse. "If you don't feel well, you know you can always call me and I'll come pick you up as soon as I can."
He knew from the way she said things, she too was trying to heal from his passing. They all weren't ready to continue with their daily routine without Peter. Unbuckling his seatbelt, he leaned over to embrace her in a hug. "Thanks, May. I love you."
He pulled away, forcing a smile before exiting the vehicle as he walked up to the front gate of the school, classmates already staring as soon as he walked in. He ignored them, pushing past to walk into the building to his first class before he was pulled aside.
"Hey," Natalia sighed, cupping his face to look him in the eyes before embracing him in a hug. "I'm so sorry about your brother. We all had no idea...that he was Spider-Man."
Luciana was next to hug him while Roman looked at him sadly before it was his turn to hug him. "Did you know? That Peter was Spider-Man?"
Ricky nodded. "I've known since the start. He didn't like the fact that I knew who he was due to my safety and that's why I never told all of you."
"We went by your house the other day when we found out you had been released from the hospital to make sure how you were. Your Aunt said you had taken it alot worse so we understood."
Natalia held his arm while her girlfriend was on the other side of him with Roman following closely behind.
"I heard your brother was that Spider guy," One shouted, Ricky immediately recognizing his voice. It was Sam-his former bully since grade school. But Ricky knew how to defend himself thanks to Peter. "It's too bad about what happened to him."
Ricky cleared his throat before looking up to give a small smile. As soon as he turned his head, Sam spoke again. "Or maybe not. He wasn't as good a superhero as the rest of the Avengers anyways."
"Sam, shut up!" Natalia rolled her eyes.
Ricky pulled away from Natalia, turning around to face Sam. "What'd you say? I couldn't quite hear you with all this noise."
"I said I'm glad your brother's dead-" Ricky cut him off by punching him straight in the noise, taking Sam by surprise who stumbled onto the floor. "That's it!"
Sam tackled Ricky onto the floor, punching his face as the group of students surrounded them-obviously enjoying that a fight was happening so early in the morning.
"Ricky, stop!" Natalia screamed before turning to Roman. "Don't just stand here! Get in there and help him!"
Roman scoffed, seeing as Ricky was now on top throwing multiple punches at Sam before having his hands at his throat. "Ricky's got this. It's Sam I'm worried about."
Ricky and Sam kept at it until two supervisors came to break them up. They held them back before walking them both into the building that led to the principals office.

The principal sat at the front of his desk with his arms crossed before he sighed. "I'm going to have to call your Aunt, but not because of the fight."
Ricky held the ice pack to his right eye before removing it. "Don't. I don't want to interrupt her and have her come all the way down here just so she could see what happened. She's already had enough of me acting this way and now with what happened-I just don't want her to worry about me right now. Don't call her, I'll just go to class."
"I know what you're going through and I knew Peter since the beginning of his freshman year. It's very saddening to hear about his passing and I could see that you're still grieving." Mr. Newman sighed. "If you don't want me to call your Aunt, how about your sister-in-law? I want you to go home and rest."
Michelle's sickness had gone away the week of Peter's funeral but both him and Aunt May were worried for her. She would wake up screaming for Peter before Ricky would come in to calm her down. Knowing that she was sleeping now, he didn't want Mr. Newman to bother her. But then he remembered what May told him.
"Call my aunt instead, please." Ricky whispered, placing the ice pack on his lap.
Mr. Newman nodded, reaching over for his desk phone, dialing May's cell.

"Did you think I was just going to walk away after that asshole disrespected Peter the way he did?" Ricky spat as May sighed, taking a quick glance at him before keeping her eyes on the road. "Obviously I wasn't. You and Peter raised me better than that."
May bit her lip. "You know I never liked when you would get home from school all beat up. It was already enough that I had one nephew who would get home beat up from the bad guys and then you did too...violence isn't always the answer, Ricky. We taught you that too."
Ricky shook his head, looking out the window. "Whatever. But if he even dares to mention his name again, I'll-"
"Richard Parker Jr.!" May yelled. "That is enough! Don't even think about finishing that sentence because I don't want to hear it!"
May dropped Ricky back home while she headed back to work. Ricky unlocked the door, seeing Michelle laying on the couch, wearing Peter's shirt.
He froze in place before she turned around to smile at him. "My bad, did I wake you?"
She sat up, shaking her head. Grabbing the remote that was tangled in the blanket, she turned it off before she spoke. "I had just woken up before you came in. What happened to you? What happened to your face?"
"I got into a fight."
"A fight? But you haven't been in one in years, who was able to piss you off so early in the morning?"
"Sam was," Ricky sighed. "He said something about Peter that really pissed me off...and I wasn't going to let him say that so we got into a fight."
When Ricky got into fights in the past-he always had his reasons. It wasn't just simply to pick a fight with anyone. Peter would be upset, but Michelle would understand. This time, Ricky was just defending his brother's honor.
Michelle laughed. "I'm sure you left him worse. That's good though, he deserved it. You know what you deserve? A nice breakfast at Reggy's. Why don't you put on another shirt that doesn't have someone else's blood on it?"
Ricky looked down at himself, not seeing how dirty he actually had been. "Right, I'll do that. Give me a few minutes."
He ran down the hall to enter his bedroom, immediately heading over to his closet. He tried looking for the shirt that Peter had gotten him just because but just couldn't. "Where the hell is it?"
Thinking that May probably confused it with Peter's clothes while doing the laundry, he headed to his bedroom and walked over to the closet.
His clothes had been the same as Peter had left it. Ricky had to take some time to recollect himself before looking for the shirt once again. He looked up, finally seeing the shirt folded underneath a box on the shelf.
He made one wrong move before the box tumbled to the ground. "Ricky, you okay?" He heard Michelle call out to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" He yelled, bending down to grab the box. He sighed while he carried it back over to the closet, placing it on its original spot before something caught his eye:
To Ricky
