(Y/N) had put up a hell of a fight against their capturers once they opened the doors of the pod and grabbed them both. She blasted over a dozen creatures, resembling the ones she had fought over more than a decade ago, as she hoped that Nebula might've gotten a chance to escape whole she hold them off. Her advantage didn't work that much, since the Nebula from this time struck a blow at the back of her head from behind, weakening her in the spot.

Before this time's Nebula could strike another blow, she was stopped with her blade in midair. She grunted in protest, turning back to see none other than Ebony Maw with a raised hand.

"This one will face your father," he said in a low voice, one that (Y/N) hadn't thought of in years.

She cowered back a few steps in an attempt to scatter away, but she was stopped by Ebony Maw's movements. No matter how hard she tried or how loud her Nebula cried out to stop them, (Y/N) was dragged away by soldiers through a darkened hallway. Her arms were restrained by high-tech handcuffs and she could feel Ebony Maw placing a device in the back of her head, which caused her to flinch automatically.

(Y/N) tried to free herself from their grip, screamed and kicked with all her strength, but it was impossible due to Ebony Maw's restrain. They approached a door and he opened it with his free hand, not hesitating the slightest in throwing her in like a rag doll as she groaned and rolled on the floor.

She did her best to stand up from the ground, but a foot on her back pushed her back down again. When (Y/N) lifted her head, she saw Thanos hovering above her with a smirk, one that she hoped to never see again. He extended a large, purple hand to caress her jaw, making her move her head away from his touch, but he put more pressure on his foot to get her to stop moving.

"Look what we have here," he spoke in the same raspy voice she heard in her nightmares.

"Sire," Ebony Maw called to his master, voice echoing in the room. "Look at her uniform."

Thanos flipped (Y/N) on her back by grabbing her shoulder, expanding the pain in all of her body. The titan's eyes flickered on the insignia on her chest plate; the recognizable star staring back at him like some sort of challenge. He grinned pleasantly back at his soldiers as if he won the lottery.

"The Starforce," he muttered. "You're Kree."

(Y/N) lifted her head and tried to think of a plan. The Kree were an empire that was feared throughout the galaxy, so she thought that giving in and accepting her false identity, it would create a sense of fear, but this was Thanos. Nothing could scare him. She stayed silent, which made the titan grow more impatient.

"Why is a Kree like yourself helping Terrans?" he asked.

"That's none of your business," (Y/N) spat at him.

"On the contrary, little one," he got up to his full height, still towering over her body. "Your business includes my destiny."

(Y/N) glared at him, her eyes glowing in the process. The sight of it made him smirk out of all things, like he was expecting her to do that. He laughed in her face, although the look on his servant, Ebony Maw, was a lot more serious.

"Sire," he called again. "Perhaps she is who Ronan had warned us about."

The name rang a bell in (Y/N)'s mind. She grinned, putting up a harsh exterior. "Ronan? He cowered of fear last time I saw him."

"I do not understand why," Thanos replied. He knelt down on the ground in front of her again and grabbed her harshly by the jaw. "You are nothing."

He dropped her jaw, making her lower her head. "But that doesn't mean you can't be useful."

He got up and extended a hand to one of his subjects, who handed him his double-sided blade. (Y/N) could only stare in horror as he raised it in the air and drew it at her neck, inches away from drawing blood. Her breath hitched since she thought that if she made a single movement, it would be over for her.

"The Nebula you accompanied had a device with her," he began in a slow way. "You should have a similar one. Hand it over, and you won't have to suffer."

The thought of Nebula being in the same situation as her made her heart drop, but she raised her head to look at the titan in the eye. "Never."

"I was expecting that answer."

He swerved the blade one way, sliding it across (Y/N)'s cheek in a clean cut. She hissed at the pain and could feel the cold, metallic blood begin to ooze out of the injury, but she didn't want to give him the reaction he was looking for.

"We'll have to rip that device off your corpse," Ebony Maw was the first to threaten.

"No," Thanos argued back. "We find what makes her crack. Search her memories."

"Yes, sire."

A final blow was delivered at her jaw. She fell on the hard floor, her head almost smacking against it. A groan left her lips at the defeat, although she was too prideful to accept defeat. She found herself back in that old training room, back in a planet she never knew she would revisit again. And based on everything surrounding her, it seemed like she couldn't have a say in what was unraveling.

"I slipped," she found herself defending.

"Right. You slipped," Yon-Rogg, her opponent and her team commander and leader answered. "As a result of me punching you in the face."

"Is that sarcasm? I feel that as a verbal threat," she snapped back, standing up from the floor. "I was slipping when you punched me in the face."

He smiled and took slow steps toward her. "You're spending too much time with Vers."

"It's not necessarily a bad thing."

"Vau," He braced himself in a defensive stance. "Tell me about this dream."

Vau tried to aim a blow at his side, but he deflected easily. She did the same movement several times, but each time he dodged and blocked them with his own arms. He managed to grab her arms and restrain her from moving, having their faces inches apart.

"Anything new?"

"Yes."

Vau twisted his arms away and he backed away as a response. She followed after him, throwing a roundhouse kick that didn't manage to harm him. She threw another kick, this time having Yon-Rogg tug on Vau's leg to bring her to him and then pull her arm from behind.

"You need to let go of your past," he explained. "You need to let go of those memories."

"But I want to remember my past."

"It's closing you down," he panted. "Now it makes you vulnerable. It makes a weakness."

He grabbed her figure and tossed her over his shoulder, but she reacted just in time to wrap her legs around his torso and brought him down with her. Yon-Rogg stood up before Vau and grabbed her arm, keeping her from using it.

Vau got tired of being beaten down so she balled her fist, making it glow with blue and yellow hues. He didn't seem impressed, he looked rather annoyed of this antic.

"Control it."

She didn't have any other option but to stop the glow in her hand.

"Lose control again, you'll have to commune with the Supreme Intelligence." Yon-Rogg helped her up from her knees. "There's nothing more dangerous to a warrior than emotion."

She locked eyes with his as he finished his sentence, which brought up a smile in her lips. He didn't laugh along with her, and instead pushed her back harshly to start another round.

"Humor is a distraction," he warned.

A couple of more punches were thrown from both of them, several being blocked by him. He locked one of her arms over his elbow and he twisted the other over her shoulder, keeping her in that position for several seconds.

"And anger," he continued. "Anger represents the enemy."

Vau exhaled a sharp breath before using her legs to kick his underneath him, causing Yon-Rogg to slip and lose his grip on her. She twisted his arms the same way he did her, but he judo-flipped her over his shoulder again and made her hit the ground.

Annoyed, she wasted no time in balling her fist again and firing a blast at him. The blast knocked him back a few feet, raising him in the air before he was smacked against the ground with a harsh thud. He lifted his head to stare at her incredulously.

"You're wrong," Vau told him. "My emotions make me stronger."

"You're still bleeding, don't move," the feminine voice argued.

(Y/N) stood up and figured she was still in the same room as before, although alone. Her handcuffs were stained in her own blood, along with half of her face. She lifted her gaze to see who was placing a wet rag over the cut on her cheek, and that's when she saw a woman with green skin and dark hair with pink ends.

"You're Gamora," was the first thing she said.

Gamora stopped her movements at the sound of her name leaving her lips. "How do you know that?"

"Your sister."

At the mention of Nebula, Gamora's face hardened. Her fingers continued their previous movement, moving on from the cut on her cheek to the visible bruises all over her skin. (Y/N) hadn't dared to look down and see her state, but due to the exhaustion and pain she felt, she figured it wasn't good.

"What happened?" she broke the silence.

"Thanos," was Gamora's answer. Strands of her dark and magenta hair fell down her face. "He left you for dead here. He searched through your memories. He's. . .he's setting course for Terra. Your Terra."

"Wh β€” How?"

"Using the same thing you used to come here."

(Y/N)'s knot tightened inside her stomach. Her greatest fear was coming true. The mere thought of Thanos coming back brought chills down her spine, and she racked her brain for a possible solution to this problem. There was no way she could warn her team about it, but how could she save them from this demise. What could she possibly do to stop herself from being consumed of the upcoming feeling of guilt?

Gamora had stayed silent, her head lowered in shame as if she had a fault in this. (Y/N) tried to find her gaze, eager to at least have an ally behind enemy lines since she didn't know Nebula's state.

"Help me," (Y/N) pleaded. She held out her handcuffed hands for her to see. "Free me."

Gamora hadn't moved a muscle.

"We can stop him. You can stop him."

Silence became uncomfortable. (Y/N) didn't know her personally, but based on the stories that Nebula and Rocket dared to share about her, Gamora had a heart; she despised Thanos as much as anyone and even more. So she hoped that this version of her was the same and just needed a simple push her way.

"I know what it's like," (Y/N) began. "I know what it's like to be taken from your home against your will. To be stripped of who you are."

"You do not β€” "

"You probably saw my memories, so you know I'm right," she cut her off. "This is your chance to get back at him. Pay for what he did to you. You just have to help me out of here."

Gamora's face turned confident. "What plan do you have?"
