Choosing a good name for your OC/character can be pretty hard. I feel like everyone struggles with this. Yet here are my tips, even though I also find it difficult.

First of all, here are the different ways you can search for names:

- Pinterest
- Google
- Real life (people you've met, though that might be a bit weird)
- Or maybe even TikTok or Instagram

There's dozens of lists online! It's about personal taste. I do have a few things that might be more helpful:

- I wouldn't recommend picking the most common name, but also don't pick some alien name no one has ever heard of before (unless it's a fantasy book).

- Look through meanings of names! Your character's qualities don't have to match with the meaning, but it could be helpful. If you want your character to be brave, keywords are things like "names meaning brave" or "names meaning strong". I only use this because named for 'strong' characters do sound pretty badass, and I'm personally not a big fan of names that don't match the personality. But that's your own opinion!

- Choose the names depending on the world setting and remember your character's culture/motherland. High school? Pretty basic names (if the high school is located in the US, then give American names, etc. If it's in Chile, for example, you'll come across other names). Fantasy? You can be creative. Maze Runner? Try to name them after a historical important person! Etc, etc, etc.
