Title: Absolution **
Season: 1 & 2—
Love Interest: John Murphy
OC Name: Quinn Barres
Faceclaim: Natalie Alyn Lind **
SUMMARY
Quinn Barres didn't care about anyone other than herself. She was hated by most yet desired by all. She broke the rules consistently, daring the guards to catch her. After killing her mother in childbirth, she felt she was living on borrowed time as it was. She didn't plan to make it past 18, and she was okay with that.
She lived her life however she wanted. She screwed people over, stole what she wanted, and didn't deny herself of any pleasure. As many would assume, karma was coming for her. Sure, she knew her lifestyle would eventually catch up to her, but she had always assumed it would come as a faceless embodiment of death, waiting for her as she was sucked into space. She had never even fathomed that her karma could come through the horrors held on Earth.
FACTS
-Quinn's mother died in childbirth but her father is still alive. He's a good man and he loves his daughter, he simply can't control her.
-She should be close with Nygel, seeing her as a surrogate mother. She should sneak around and do dirty work for her.
-Nygel is who she is closest too, but she still would sell her out if it meant saving her own skin.
-John Murphy's dad went to Nygel for the medicine needed to save him. She gave it to him at a low rate, pitying him, but when Kane was onto her, she shrugged it off as if he did it on his own. Quinn should get rid of any evidence indicating Nygel.
-Quinn eventually gets caught at 17 while doing one of Nygel's tasks. Both her father and Nygel will visit her often
-Murphy and Quinn should meet in the skybox. They should bicker and tease one another. Quinn shouldn't like him, considering she truly doesn't care about anyone else, but Murphy should be intrigued by her.
-When the guards come to send her to Earth, she does NOT fight back or even question them. She can say something snarky or flirty, but nothing about what they're doing to her. Again, she doesn't care about her life. She sees being floated as her karma and accepts it.
-Murphy should stick around her on Earth, much to her annoyance. She should be sassy and not take crap from anyone, including Bellamy.
-She should not get along with Clarke or Wells. Finn and her should be flirty but nothing more, and she should avoid him once he becomes serious with Clarke. She and Bellamy can hookup, but she should hate him because she sees him trying to be an authority figure, and hates authority. Her and Octavia should get along the best at first, but because Quinn is a bitch, Octavia should be pushed away. Monty and Jasper should be scared of her.
-Quinn should be on Murphy's side when it comes to Charlotte. Not because she cares about Murphy, but because she doesn't understand protecting a murderer who got caught, no matter their age. She should be indifferent to the murder, but look down on her for getting caught.
-Quinn will go along on the hunt for Charlotte, more out of boredom and to go against Bellamy. She doesn't attack anyone, but she should threaten Charlotte slyly and maybe lunge at her. She will be banned like Murphy, but she won't care.
-They should bond out of Murphy's fear when they spend time together in the woods. Eventually, SLOWLY, she should grow to care for him more.
-Once they are captured, this will break down her facade. She should be tortured severely, watching her torture serving dually as his. She will be broken after this, scared and timid, no longer mouthy or bitchy or confident.
-While locked up, she should reveal to Murphy all of the awful things she did on the ark. She should talk about getting a man floated for stealing medicine when she was younger, and he should realize it was his father.
-Murphy is stubborn and broken. Don't overlook this. He should leave her behind out of anger when given the chance to flee. Quinn shouldn't be released until Clarke and Finn are kidnapped and find her.
-The story is called absolution because it should be about her fight for forgiveness from him and everyone else for everything awful she's done. She should be with Bellamy in the woods when the dropship closes, refusing to be anything other than the last one in.
-The rest of the story should be about her struggle for forgiveness from Murphy, as well as forgiving herself. He should be confused by her interest and persistence, viewing himself as a worse monster.
NOTES
-QUINN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER LIFE. I can not stress this enough. She tests her boundaries on the ark until she's eventually caught. While on Earth, she should do risky things and not care about survival. She is entirely nihilistic.
-She should start valuing her own life and caring about others after being tortured. It made her realize she wants to live.
-In the beginning, there's nothing deep about it. She's a bitch. She's reckless. She sleeps around.
-Up to you how you want to go on about Murphy forgiving her and whether or not you want her to go to the City of Light. I imagine them going, but finding forgiveness for each other and themselves along the way and turning back. But, again, that part is up to you.
-She can hook up with whoever you want. She is bisexual and extremely flirty. They should never mean anything more though, at least to her.
-Once she changes, she should be really close to Raven at Arkadia.
