Bliss...

Gavi couldn't be more in love...

Pedro had carved himself into the younger's heart untill he couldn't make out who it actually belonged to anymore.

Their short vacation in Tenerife had only further assured Gavi that this was the man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Pedri had been nothing short of perfect while he was injured; from carrying his luggage at the airport to magically appearing at his side every second at the islands and preventing him from even the simplest of chores, to even helping out with his physiotherapy as healing progressed.

Even Pedro's parents had taken active roles in Gavi's care, supporting the youngster throughout his stay with everything in their capabilities; especially Rosie cooking up delicious meals for him every five minutes.Pablo was forever grateful to them, although, the guilt of hiding a relationship with their son gnawed at his back.

His own parents back in Sevilla eagerly awaited his return, but he'd promised them a visit only after the season started as he probably wouldn't be selected for first team so soon into recovery.

The summer had whisked passed way faster than anticipated, both the boys had mutual feelings of it being, 'not long enough ' as though school children. Lately, nothing felt 'enough' for the pair, they always wanted more, needed to be closer, kisses meant to be longer...

Eventually, Gavi had planned a special dinner date for their last day in Tenerife. Perhaps he felt as though it would be a more Gavi-esque way of saying 'thank you' for all his care and attention the past few days. He'd never been good with words anyway...

Gavi sat on the beach with the setting sun painting the sky orange and pink hues while the ocean revelled in the shimmering reflection.

Sand stuck uncomfortably to his once pale back and thighs, now turned a darker shade as a result of the time spent on sunny beaches.

His face beamed with adoration as he watched Pedri try miserably to balance on his surfboard, he'd been kept amused all afternoon.

He looked on as the older's attention finally fell on him, narrowing his eyes at the younger as he realised he'd been laughing at his antics all along.

Pedro eventually gave up his quest of becoming a professional surfer and made his way to sit beside the younger on the warm sand.

"I can't believe the hot surfboard boy wants to sit beside me" Gavi giggled playfully nudging the older's side.

The Canarian rolled his eyes at the horrible attempt at the joke/flirt...

"Trust me I was amazing when I was young..." he looked pointedly at the younger.

Gavi turned to him about to say a clever retort, but was momentarily awestruck by the older's hazel eyes glowing a light greenish yellow in the luminous backdrop of the setting sun...how can someone look so beautiful.

He gulped.

"Yeah yeah... cause now you're such an oldie..."

"Hey! By young, I meant, when I was a kid!! "

Gavi simply smiled broadly...

"I highly doubt, Mr. Pedro..."

"Okay then..." the older huffed, "whatever you say, gorgeous. Not arguing with a man with pretty brown eyes." He held up his hands in defeat.

The Sevillan blushed at the compliment and slapped the older's shoulders playfully.

They indulged in conversations of sweet nothings, each one soaking in the other's beauty as the sky burst into a collision of smooth and silky red, pink and orange.

"Gavi, I hope I don't step on a poor crab..." Pedro chuckled out as he was led, blindfolded by the younger to their apparent 'destination date'.

Gavi silently held his hand along the sandy route, slightly nervous yet giddy to reveal the surprise he'd planned. He'd quietly worked on the date for days, thankfully with the help of Fer who had made most of the arrangements after the decided blueprint.

The lovers were dressed in matching beige beach pants, Gavi in olive button downs and Pedri in white.

Finally, upon reaching the location, the younger softly undid the older's blindfold.

Pedri took a moment to adjust to the light and when he could finally comprehend the enchanted setting, he gasped audibly.

There stood, in the middle of the beach, an area of slightly raised wooden platform, with white curtains hanging off it's pillars allowing the satin to flow in the wind. In the centre were kept furnishings of champagne coloured table and chairs with food and drink already served. White lilies and roses decorated the entire setting along with silver fairy lights in tandem. And like the cherry on top, the moonlight shone brightly, illuminating it all.

"Pablo... this - it's beautiful." he whispered, out of words.

Gavi squeezed the older's hands in his.

"I'm glad you like it" the younger sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

He pulled out a chair for Pedro and indicated him to sit.

"Oohh... what a gentleman." the Canarian dramatically flipped his imaginary locks.

"I got you princess" Pablo played along, winking at him before taking the seat opposite him.

Pedri cleared his throat.

"Honestly though, this is beautiful babe. Thank you so much." he looked at him with overflowing affection.

"Anything for you, love." He held Pedro's hand across the table and gently placed a kiss to it .

"I didn't think I could be more in love, but here you are, proving me wrong as always." the older's thoughts rolled off his tongue.

"I feel the exact same way, every morning I wake up to see you face.." Gavi exhaled.

"Wow..." the younger spoke again, shaking his head, "I don't remember ever being this romantic.."

"And I think I could get used to this..." the older smiled smugly.

"Good...cause I have one more surprise." The younger grinned, as he reached for a bag kept beside him and pulled out a thick album.

The older gasped at the familiar covers, he'd seen a similar one in Gavi's home in Sevilla a few months ago on his visit back then
The younger placed it on the table near Pedri, beside his plate and cutlery.

"Wait-" Pablo spoke, "Let's first eat..."

Pedro desperately wanted to protest against it, but bit back his words with a pout.

They soon indulged in easy conversation with their dinner, laughter filtering along the rushing sound of waves hitting the shore.

Finally, after the meal, Pedro quickly downed his red wine and pulled the album unto his lap. His fingers traced the intricate designs carved into the shining brown leather cover.

"Um... actually" Gavi spoke nervously, a slight shake in his voice, "My mum made one of these for my dad when they were young... I thought I'd make you one too.."

Pedri looked up at the boy before him, how precious could one possibly get.

"Thank you.. Pablito. I-" it wasn't the first time today that he'd been rendered speechless.

He took in a sharp breath and flipped to the first page.

First meet...

Pedri in a Las Palmas jersey and Gavi in Barca, both representing the U-19.

It was a group picture taken before the match and Pedri frowned unable to recall this memory, he'd always thought their first meet had been in Barcelona, but apparently not...

The second page was a picture of them after their first match together, taken in dirty, sweaty jerseys in the locker room.
Pedri smiled at the fond memory.

As he flipped through the pages, he could see the past few years flash before his eyes; everything they'd been through, sweet victories and painful losses, glorifying Golden Boy awards and torturous trainings, all blended into one.

The last two pictures were of them with the La Liga trophy and the most recent one taken on the beach that summer.

Pedro didn't realise he'd been crying untill a tear dropped into the picture of them adorning blissful smiles under the Canarian sun. He quickly wiped away the tear, more in fear of ruining the picture than anything else.

"Pablo... It's beautiful..." Pedro whispered, voice cracking at the end, "It's everything..."

"It's incomplete though..." Gavi spoke gently, leaning over the table to engulf the older in a gentle kiss, "We'll need to add a few more pictures in coming years to the album..."

"Then I suggest we buy a few more albums..." Pedro quickly replied.

There will be an epilogue after this chapter and then a few bonus chapters after which, this book will be finally over!! I'd love it if you guys would recommend ideas for bonus chapters??

Also, I'll be working on a different ship with the first story line as this initially but different progression, you guys can ignore that book since most of you are PedrixGavi shippers... but don't worry!! I'll be still working on Daddy Issues!! I have great plans for that one!!
