017. quiet

(quiet)

It took a week of adjusting for Klaus and Margot to become comfortable in the real world again. Every day, with the help of Stefan and Lexi, they would be taken out on walks before they went to lunch or dinner together.

Eventually, Stefan told Margot about Charlie and she was overjoyed. She knew Stefan struggled with love, especially after his experiences with both Katherine and Elena. Margot didn't care who he loved, what they were or who they were, she just cared that they loved him back as much as he deserved, which was the world in Margot's opinion.

Now, they were lounging in the boarding house, after eating lunch at the Grill. Margot lay comfortably with her head on Klaus' lap as he played with her dark strands of hair that were curled to perfection. "So, what have we missed?" she asked after a small pause as Stefan poured three glasses of bourbon.

Stefan shrugged, they had missed a lot if he was being honest. "Well... Elena compelled herself to forget Damon. Alaric is dating a nurse... Jo, I think. Jeremy got his life back together, Matt is... still a human... somehow..."

"And you two?" Klaus questioned, referring to Stefan and Lexi who sat across from the couple.

"We stayed in New York for a little bit– then we moved back and you know the rest. What, um, what was it like there?"

"It was normal... quiet – at least when Damon wasn't around. When he was he would never shut the hell up. That's actually what we wanted to talk to you about, Dad..."

Stefan tilted his head, his eyes moving between the pair, "What is it?"

Margot glanced up at the hybrid, earning a soft nod, before looking back at her father, "I- I'm pregnant, Dad."

Stefan's lips parted and his eyes widened. His voice was raised slightly as he spoke, "What?"

Margot chuckled, "Do we need to give you the talk, Dad? We could explain how it happened but... I don't see any buckets so..."

"Please– please don't explain it. I just– How are you... You're both vampires."

Klaus nodded in understanding, "Since Margot is a heretic and I'm a hybrid there was some sort of a loophole. In the prison world, our vampire sides were weaker which made our human sides stronger."

"And that's why you didn't get pregnant before," Stefan concluded, holding his head in his hands. "How far along?"

"Four months next week. Bonnie did a spell before we left..." A soft smile broke out on her lips, "It's twins, Dad."

Stefan breathed out before a smile appeared on his lips. "Twins?" he muttered before speeding over and pulling his daughter into a hug.

He glanced down at Klaus and his smile faded slightly. "You and I are going to talk," Stefan told him before looking back down at Margot, "I'm so happy for you, sweetheart."

Margot was sitting on her bedroom floor surrounded by old grimoires and empty tea cups. Apparently, since she was pregnant she was on a two-coffee limit per day.

Stupid hybrid for getting her pregnant.

The other Mikaelsons had made their way back to the dreadful town one by one after learning of the reappearance of their brother and Margot. Turns out, they had no idea they were even gone, Rebekah had even thought they eloped and were somewhere in the Bahamas.

Kol sat beside her as he helped her read the Latin books, searching for any spell that would help their current situation.

"So, this Kai guy... He's your brother? I didn't know you had one," he pondered as his finger traced down a page before flipping to the next one.

"Not by blood," Margot explained. "He took care of me and helped me hide being a siphoner from our covens. Kai had always been the black sheep of his family, they hated him for what he was so much so that his father would beat him. Eventually, Kai snapped and killed the majority of them only to be sent there..."

Kol smirked, "Well when we get him back you'll have to introduce us. I think we'd be quite the pair."

She chuckled, "You'd be daggered within the week, Koala."

The boy grinned, "Yes, that may be true but I'd have you to bring me back. God knows Nik lets you do whatever you want."

She nodded silently as a grin fought its way onto her face, "Perhaps I should get him a leash..."

Kol burst out in laughter, "If you do take pictures. I need some new blackmail."

It was silent for a few minutes, a comfortable silence, though. It was only interrupted when the hybrid himself chose to walk inside, "Love! I've been looking all over for you."

She chuckled, "I'm in the only communal room and you can hear my heartbeat, puppy. You really are shit at finding people."

Klaus held his hand up to his heart in mock sadness, "Oh, you wound me, my love. Come with me, you and I are going on a date."

He held out his free hand, waiting for her to get a grip on it before gently pulling her up, "Wear that blue dress. You always look so pretty in it."

Kol groaned from below them, "You two are disgusting."

His brother smirked, "Well, if you think this is disgusting I'd suggest you stay out for the night... wouldn't want to disgust you any further."

The younger boy's eyes widened, "Ew. Elijah! Save me!"

Then, Elijah sped into the room, "Please tell me you are not trying to dagger our brother again because he won Monopoly and you didn't."

Kol groaned, "No. I think I'd rather have the dagger though. You need to revamp your silencing spells, darling. They don't work anymore and I've been suffering."

The heretic smirked, "If you don't like it, don't listen, Koala. Lijah, that reminds me, rematch on that chess game? I recall you cheated on the last one."

The suited original grins innocently, "Me? Never. You're just a terrible player."

"Where are we going that needs a private jet?" Margot asked as the hybrid led her into a plane.

"Somewhere special."

"Cryptic... Do I have to siphon it out of you?"

The hybrid smirked, leaning down as he trailed his lips across her exposed shoulder, "We both know that doesn't hurt me anymore... But please, go ahead. I believe I quite enjoyed it last time."

Cocky bastard, she thought to herself. "If you keep reminding me about that, this date will never happen."

He smirked, spinning her body around to face him before taking her lips in his, "I wouldn't mind."

She smirked against his lips before speeding him to a chair where she forced him to sit. He stared up at her with a curious expression. He almost looked innocent. Almost.

Margot stood above him, her finger toying with the buttons on his white collared shirt as she debated on what to do.

"What are you planning, love?"

She moved her legs to be on either side of him before she sat on his lap, "I don't know... Any ideas?"

He grinned as he moved forward, his lips chasing hers. Their lips collided in a fit of passion, the hybrid using her shock to speed her into the small bedroom before placing her body on the bed.

"You don't think this will hurt the babies?" he asked softly as he placed soft kisses along her collarbone.

She chuckled, "You're big but not that big, Nik."

He gave her a sarcastic smile before grabbing a pillow and placing it under her lower back. "You sure about that, love?" As soon as he said that, he thrusted inside her, earning a loud moan from the woman beneath him.

He hadn't even bothered to strip them. Instead, he let his pants fall to the floor while he used his fingers to move her lace panties to the side. He decided against writing them, they happened to be his favourite.

Klaus leaned down to press his lips against hers as his hips rutted against hers, getting closer with every thrust.

He could feel her nails scratch along his back, leaving dark red marks in their wake only to heal seconds after. The pain mixed with pleasure only edged him further as his lips moved rhythmically along her neck, dark purple marks healing in just seconds. Her loud moans were the only thing he could hear apart from her loud heartbeat.

"What am I going to do with you, my love?" he asked as her legs wrapped around her waist. His eyes were trained on where their bodies connected. The sight earned a loud moan from the man as he dipped his head back in pleasure.

Such a sinful sight, watching as he plunged inside her, pulling out just to leave his tip inside only for him to thrust back in.

Fuck.

Her moans grew louder as his thumb came down to circle her clit, expertly applying a small amount of pressure to the bud which sent shivers up her spine.

"So– so good, Nik. Please don't st- stop," she cried out through heavy breaths.

A familiar coil began to build up as pressure appeared in her abdomen. Her moans grew estranged as his hand cupped her covered breast, harshly squeezing the soft mound as his fangs stabbed into her neck.

Her hands came up, holding onto his back, fisting the material of his shirt as she began to siphon him.

Over time she had learned that siphoning could bring pleasure rather than pain. She had only tested it on him though.

His thrusts became sloppy. She was intoxicating to him. Her moans practically dripped with honey and her touch felt like heaven on earth. In that moment, Klaus believed her to be an angel, one that was created just for him to corrupt with his black heart.

His cock twitched inside her as her walls clenched around him. The act was enough to send them both over the edge.

Coming down from their high, Klaus laid on top of her, softly kissing her shoulder as she played with his hair. "We're not going on that date, are we?"

"Definitely not. We can go to Rome next time."

She smiled tiredly as she kissed his temple, "I don't know... Rome sounds quite nice."

He stopped his kisses to stare down at her with a cheeky smile, "I'll need a few minutes. It appears you've tired me."

After a few minutes of silence, Margot's eyes widened, "Have we made the pilot wait this whole time? Shit, did they hear us?"

He smirked against her skin, "I'm the pilot, love. And I must say, the pilot would love a part two in Rome."

She grinned mischievously, "Only if you let me be on top. I miss you being on your knees."

A chuckle sounded from his lips as he stood up, "I'm always on my knees for you, love."

— — —

Rome was beautiful, not that Margot and Klaus left their hotel room enough to get a good look. It was only in the middle of their trip that Klaus forced her out of the room. He insisted on taking her somewhere.

When they arrived, the first thing Margot noticed was the vast amounts of yellow carnations and lupins lining the sandy beach they were standing on. Her eyes widened at the beautiful sight.

"What is all this, Nik?" she asked softly as she stared at the sight in wonder.

He smiled bashfully, "You once told me you had never been to a beach. And... I also wanted to do this."

Margot watched as he knelt on one knee in front of her and held out a small ring box in his hands.

The ring was beautiful and clearly handmade by him. It was an antique stone setting with a small diamond in the center.

She cast her eyes back to the hybrid. "Nik," she whispered as tears made their way into her eyes.

"From the minute I met you, I knew there was something special about you. I once thought of you to be the bane of my existence, the one weakness I may ever have. I know now how foolish I was for the thought to ever cross my mind. You are no weakness to me, Margot, you are my heart, my mind, my soul, and the mother of my children. In truth, I don't believe I deserve you, I don't believe anyone on this earth deserves someone as loving and accepting as you. I want to spend the rest of eternity with you, staring into those soft eyes of yours that are always filled with nothing but love for me, to have you in my arms each night after hours spent dealing with my siblings, to feel your hand in my own as we watch our children run off into their own adventures. I want you, Margot. You are and always will be my everything. Will you marry me, Margot? Will you be my wife?"

Margot smiled as she felt her heart beat out of her chest. She felt like she was on cloud nine as she knelt down in front of him and placed her hands on his face to cup his cheeks, "I'd love nothing more."

Klaus grinned widely, tears threatening to fall from his eyes as he slipped the ring onto her finger before pulling her into a hug.

"I love you, Margot Mikaelson. Always and forever."

"I love you more, Niklaus Mikaelson. Always and forever."

(The rings - feel free to imagine something different <3 I just thought these ones fit the plot)
