"The birth of venus, a painting made by the Italian artist Sandro Botticelli," Professor lolita explained, "it was executed in the mid 1480s. It depicts the goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown; it was part of the early renaissance paintings." the professor happily explained to the class.
Everyone was halfway in falling asleep, except for one person who was on the verge of falling.
Meizhen tried to focus on the lesson, she really tried, but was unsuccessful when a wave of dizziness washed over her. The room began to spin, and her vision blurred. She felt her body weakening, her legs trembling beneath her. Meizhen held her head in her hands, gasping for air.
Before she could react, Meizhen's chair scraped against the floor as she collapsed, her arms flailing wildly.ย
"And what do you think you'll do... once the child... was born, son?"
The beautiful male, looked outside the castle of the God, his face was solemn while rubbing his nearly round stomach, he then smirked before facing the primordial goddess behind him.
"Aphrodite cursed me to get pregnant, the gods took what was mine," he paused before continuing, "I'll make sure to curse them back, but I'm not doing it... it would be our child."
He turned his head to look to the right, Xu Meizhen stood there, "wake up, child of apollo." A chimera appeared out of the shadow before jumping on top of Meizhen.
Xu? Miss Xu!
Meizhen's eyes snapped open, her chest heaving as she gasped for air. Her heart still raced from the vivid nightmare that had haunted her sleep, her breathing ragged as she sat up with a jerk. She was met with the concerned faces of her classmates, including her half-sister Hana, as they stared at her from their seats in Professor Lolita's arts and craft classroom. The soft glow of the morning sunlight streaming through the windows seemed harsh against her sensitive eyes.
"Meizhen, are you okay?" Professor Lolita asked, her voice laced with concern as she rushed to Meizhen's side. "You collapsed from your chair, dear."
Meizhen's gaze was unfocused, her mind still reeling from the vision that had just assailed her, this never happened. She tried to shake off the lingering fear and fragments of visions that lingered in her mind. "I... I'm fine, Professor," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Professor Lolita's eyes narrowed, her expression skeptical. "I don't think so, Meizhen. You're pale and shaking. Why don't you take a break and rest at the dorm? I'll send you some notes later."
Meizhen protested, but Professor Lolita's firm tone brooked no argument. With Hana's help, Meizhen slowly got to her feet, her legs still unsteady. As they walked away from the classroom, she couldn't help but glance to her side when she felt something watching, well... someone watching.
There Sir Haru stood, his piercing black eyes fixed intently on her. He gave her a slight nod before turning to leave, his long strides eating up the distance as he disappeared into the crowd of students milling about in the hallway.
Hana followed Meizhen's gaze, her eyes narrowing slightly, the younger girl followed her gaze. "Unnie, what's wrong? You're staring at an empty space. Are you getting visions again?"
Meizhen's gaze remained fixed on the spot where Sir Haru had stood, her mind racing with the implications of her latest vision. She had seen glimpses of the past, fragmented images that made little sense to her. But one thing was certain - something was brewing, something that threatened the very fabric of their world.
Meizhen's eyes then snapped back to her sister, a shiver running down her spine. She didn't know why, but Sir Haru's intense gaze had unsettled her.
"Hana, I... I don't know," Meizhen replied, her voice hesitant. "Do-do you think sir haru has a slight resemblance to Aether?" She questioned, which made Hana look at her with a shocked face, "Unnie..." "Forget I said that." Hana sighed.
"Unnie, let's go talk to Mistress Lily after your rest," Hana suggested, her voice soft with concern. "Maybe she can help with your visions that you have been getting lately."
Meizhen nodded, her mind still reeling from the intensity of her nightmare. But as they walked, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Sir Haru's gaze had left an indelible mark on her. She felt like he had seen something in her, something that she couldn't quite grasp herself.
The atmosphere at Valencia Academy, a school for demigods, was always charged with tension and anticipation. As the children of gods and titans, they were all born with unique abilities and destinies that shaped their lives.
Meizhen, as a demigod daughter of Apollo, possessed the ability to see glimpses of the past and the future. It was a gift and a curse, one that often left her reeling from the weight of her visions.
As they entered their dorm, Meizhen collapsed onto her bed, exhaustion washing over her like a wave. Hana sat beside her, stroking her hair soothingly. "Get some rest, sis. We'll figure this out together, okay?"
Meizhen nodded, her eyelids growing heavy as she closed her eyes. She knew that she couldn't avoid the truth forever. Whatever was brewing, she would have to face it head-on, that's the life of a demigod. The question was, would she be ready when the time came?
"I'll slowly... destroy those children... I should recruit some of them though, they could help us destroy the Gods."
"You have anything in mind, grandchild?"
The mystery person started laughing, before he answered his grandmother, "Oh grandma, I have plenty... should I start with the kids with underworldly powers? and then the children who have plenty of hate to their god parent... I would need that hades child too. Hecate's children as well..." the person stopped before continuing, "starting with that Apollo child, she has the ability to see the past and future." they looked at the primordialย goddess, "I would love to see what my plan would turn out."
