JANHAVI

The next morning, I woke up to the soft rays of the sun streaming through the curtains. I turned to see Ishan still sleeping peacefully beside me. The events of last night played back in my mind-the passionate kiss, the heartfelt conversation, the pleasure we had felt and the beautiful gifts he had given me. I felt a warmth spread through my chest. Ishan was truly the best thing that had ever happened to me.

I gently brushed a strand of hair away from his face and kissed his forehead. He stirred slightly, opening his eyes to meet mine. A smile spread across his lips as he pulled me closer.

"Good morning, birthday girl," he whispered.

"Good morning," I replied, snuggling into his embrace. "Thank you for everything, Ishan. Last night was perfect."

He kissed the top of my head and said, "I thought you would be too shy to talk about last night. Someone's getting bold huh?"

I pouted and replied, "Main pehle se aise hi hu, ab outsiders ke saath thodi hi koi bold hota hai?"

He chuckled at my comment and asked, "Toh pehle main outsider tha?"

To irritate him, I replied, "Haan toh aur kya?"

"Main iska reply de sakta Haan, but Aaj we have an important task-getting you admitted to Shivaji University. Isliye chup reh gaya", he replied cutely.

I nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "I'm ready. Let's do this."

I was about to get out from the bed, when I realised that I was naked. Ishan gathered my thoughts from my expression and was looking at me with anticipation.

"Ishan, wo side mein there's a blanket, you take that aur main.." and he interrupted me before I could finish.

"Maine kal toh sab dekh hi liya na? Aur chupana kya hai?", he asked smirking.

"Ekdam besharam ho tum", I cussed at him and tugged the blanket. Wrapping it all around me, I went directly to the bathroom without looking back.

Ufff. Too much of embarrassment

After freshening up, we had a quick breakfast. Ishan insisted on making tea for me, and we shared a moment of laughter over his clumsy attempts at making the perfect cup. Once we were ready, we left for the university.

The drive was filled with comfortable silence and occasional small talk. Ishan held my hand throughout, his presence a comforting reassurance. As we arrived at the University, I felt a surge of excitement. This was a new beginning, a chance to pursue my dreams.

We walked into the administration building hand in hand. Ishan had put on a mask and sunglasses to avoid unnecessary attention but I had doubts that his fans won't be able to recognise him.

The campus was bustling with students, each immersed in their own world. I felt a little out of place, but Ishan's reassuring presence kept me calm. We approached the admissions office, where a kind lady greeted us.

"Good morning. How can I help you?" she asked, smiling warmly.

"Good morning. We are here to complete the admission process for Janhavi," Ishan replied, handing over the necessary documents. "I talked to you over phone."

The lady nodded and quickly reviewed the papers. "Everything seems to be in order. Janhavi, please fill out these forms, and we'll get you enrolled."

I sat down at a nearby desk, filling out the forms carefully. Ishan stood beside me, occasionally glancing over my shoulder to ensure I didn't miss anything. The receptionist was busy eyeing ishan's odd attire. Once I was done, I handed the forms back to the lady. We had enrolled with my father's name as my guardian because Ishan felt that enrolling there as his wife would fetch me unnecessary attention.

Waise bhi koi na koi toh pehchaan hi lega, Ishan Kishan's wife after all.

"Welcome to Shivaji University, Janhavi. Your classes start from the 3rd of this month. Good luck!" she said, handing me my student ID card.

I thanked her and turned to Ishan, who was beaming with pride. "You're officially a student now," he said, pulling me into a hug.

As we walked out of the office, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. This was a big step towards my future, and I was grateful to have Ishan by my side. We strolled through the campus, exploring the various buildings and soaking in the atmosphere.

"I can't believe this is happening," I said, my voice filled with excitement. "Thank you, Ishan, for making this possible."

He squeezed my hand and replied, "Janhavi, you deserve every bit of this. I'm just here to support you. Your dreams are important to me."

After finishing the admission process at the University, we stepped out of the administrative building. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the campus. Ishan held my hand, and we walked towards the car. The whole day had been overwhelming, yet fulfilling. I was officially a student again, thanks to Ishan.

As we drove back, I noticed that we weren't heading towards home. "Ishan, where are we going?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

He smiled mysteriously. "It's a surprise. Just wait and watch."

I couldn't help but smile back, feeling excitement bubbling inside me. The car ride was soothing, with soft music playing in the background. Ishan's hand occasionally left the steering wheel to hold mine, sending warmth through my body.

After a while, he turned onto a narrow street lined with trees. The car finally stopped in front of a quaint, homely cafรฉ. Fairy lights adorned the exterior, giving it a magical appearance.

"Here we are," Ishan announced, coming around to open my door.

Just like my Prince Charming.

We walked inside, and I was taken aback. The cafรฉ was empty except for us. The warm, cozy atmosphere, with its vintage furniture and soft lighting, made it feel like a scene from a fairy tale.

"Ishan, this is beautiful! How did you manage this?" I asked, my eyes wide with wonder.

He grinned. "I wanted to do something special for you. So, I booked the entire cafรฉ. Do you like it?"

"Like it? I love it!" I said, hugging him tightly.

He led me to a table near the window, which had a view of a small, beautifully lit garden. We sat down, and a waiter brought over a cake, placing it in front of us. The cake was simple yet elegant, with "Happy Birthday Janhavi" written on it.

"Shall we?" Ishan asked, handing me the knife.

We both cut the cake together, feeding each other the first slice. The sweetness of the cake mirrored the sweetness of the moment. I felt tears of joy welling up in my eyes.

"Thank you, Ishan. This is the best birthday ever," I said, my voice choked with emotion.

He wiped a tear from my cheek and kissed my forehead. "You deserve the best, Janhavi. And I'll always try to give you that."

After enjoying the cake, we spent some time talking, laughing, and sharing stories. The homely atmosphere of the cafรฉ made everything feel more intimate and special. I remember the last time Ishan had taken me out to eat and the place was so lavish that I felt uncomfortable.

"Ishan why did you choose this cafe?", I asked.

"You didn't like it?", he asked back, his features getting tensed.

"Nahi nahi, just asking for the reason."

"Okay. So the last time jab hum eksaath restaurant gaye the, you didn't like or felt uncomfortable in that highfy atmosphere. Isliye I arrange for this place.", he explained elaborately.

I nodded in silence. Men in love are the best creation of God.

When it was time to leave, we walked back to the car. The ride home was filled with comfortable silence. Ishan held my hand the entire time, his thumb gently stroking my fingers.

Halfway home, he pulled over to the side of the road. "There's something I want to do," he said, turning to face me.

Before I could ask, he leaned in and kissed me softly. It was a kiss filled with love and promise, making my heart race. I kissed him back, pouring all my feelings into it. When we finally pulled apart, I rested my head on his shoulder, feeling content and happy.

"I love you, Ishan," I whispered.

"I love you too, Janhavi," he replied, holding me close.

The rest of the drive was filled with a serene silence, both of us lost in our thoughts.

I didn't know the way back home from this way, so I asked Ishan, "We're going home right?"

"Ruko Zara, sabar karo", was all he said.

God this day is going to be long!

So guys, hopefully one more chapter left of this story.
I would really miss writing about them.

One more thing, I've seen that I have a few readers from Bangladesh.
I don't know what's the condition out there but please stay safeโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน
