It was all those years ago — when Juliette's homeworld had first been in need of aid — when they suddenly, fatefully collided. When her charm and his wit had risen against and tested one another, and their affection had flourished into something so prized — like a delicate tree, sunned by their smiles and watered by their goodbye tears. They were clandestine stares, hidden smiles and snarky remarks and they were destined for fundamentally different things, and they knew that they would possibly never encounter each other again.

However — because fate liked to hit them, and it loved to be cruel — they did, many years later. When a war had begun to thrive from greed, misunderstandings and differences, and when it tumbled onto Juliette's homeworld and spread through the country like venom, when the separatists slaughtered the city cold-blooded and death took, with reluctance, almost every single one of Aldara's people.

Their second fateful meeting was as unpleasant a collision as their first; agony and war and death being the purpose. And yet, Juliette couldn't bear to say she regretted it.

She didn't. If the war brought to her home hadn't put her folk through the misery it had, if it hadn't put her through all the anguish she had to endure, she would've never met Obi-Wan.

She never would've believed, if you told her, that because of him she'd suffer even crueler.

☾ i just had to publish this today because ahhhhsjdskfhf 1989 tv 😭😭😭😭!!! it is one of my favourite albums and juliette and obi-wan are so 1989 coded, especially in the first act 🥺 but generally, i am so very excited to be able to share this work with you guys! juliette is such an unique persona and so different from my usual characters and she's become so precious to me 💕 her relationship with obi-wan is adorable and i love their domestic dynamic, but also their banter and bickering 👀 she is the princess of aldara, my very own original planet which will be explored heavily throughout this story! ive always wanted to create a mysterious, mystical place with dragons and witchy stuff and ive put so much time and dedication into the creation and development of it, and it's still not perfect, but i love it with the entirety of my heart. 💗 part of its culture is inspired by the bene gesserit of frank herbert's dune, some of it by the sisters of dathomir. ive also taken inspiration from asoiaf / got, from ancient greece and various other things. i'd love to continue and talk about aldara, but i don't want to spoil too much, so let's move on!
