( APHRODITE AMBROSIUS )

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ 𝐍𝐎 𝐖𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐉𝐎𝐘𝐄𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 at the start of every school year. she stood at kings cross station side by side with her mother. her father was back at the castle attending to important "matters", obviously more important than wishing his daughter a farewell.

bustling first- years and families wishing eachother goodbyes aswell as friends reuniting all filled the platform, various wide eyed stares from on lookers at the girl and her mother. the two were obviously very famous in the wizarding world, the whole family was. being descendants of merlin and morgana was something her parents didn't second- guess boasting about on a daily occurrence.

aphrodite ambrosius was going to be entering her fifth year at hogwarts, it would be the year that she took her owls and the year her parents would try finding her an acceptable suitor to marry when finished her schooling years. the whole arranged marriage thing was not an idea that aphrodite liked very much but what else could she do to make her parents happy, she thought.

the two females were waiting on the blacks. they usually waited for druella and cygnus and their three daughters aswell as walburga and orion and their two sons, so that they all boarded the train together. but this year it would just be the two black boys considering all the black sisters finished school.

the blacks and the ambrosius' were both very high and respected families in the wizarding community both sharing the same beliefs on blood purity, the one thing the ambrosius' didn't agree on was the inbreeding but they wouldn't speak out on the matter, finding it disgusting enough as it was.

"aphrodite" her mothers authorative voice said from beside the girl making her tilt her head waiting for whatever scolding she was going to receive, although what left her mothers lips shocked her. "make sure to keep an eye on sirius this year and make sure he doesn't go affiliating with the wrong... kinds" she said as she tried being discreet by not saying muggle-borns or half-bloods knowing that not everyone thought the way she did.

"yes, mother" aphrodite nodded not questioning further on the situation wondering why her mother wanted her to keep an eye on the boy, even after all the cruel things alcina said about the boy at dinners.

"he could be a good suitor for you if he dropped this silly rebellious phase of his" her mother said hesitantly avoiding her daughters eyes knowing they haven't spoken about any possible suitors together and decided it'd be best to start discussing when she returned christmas time. aphrodite didn't know what to say, not being completely against the idea of marrying sirius but she doubted sirius even knew of the topic at hand.

before alcina could continue the voice of walburga black called out from the other end of the platform as she strode along with orion at her side, the twos matching black attire making them stick out like sore-thumbs in the broad daylight. the way she called aphrodite and alcina's names made the two females cringe.

"ah! walburga, orion" her mother greeted with a fake comforting tone as she gave walburga a slight hug and orion a kiss on the cheek. walburga turned her attention from alcina to aphrodite as her smile widened a considerable amount taking the girls hands into her own.

"sirius! look over here, hasn't aphrodite grown into such a young beautiful witch" the woman said grabbing her oldest son by the wrist pulling him so he now stood besides his mother. aphrodite offered a gentle smile to the boy as he smiled mischievously looking her up and down.

"even more beautiful than last year" the boy said making his mother grin wickedly , alcina and orion to smile in pride and a small warmth spread across aphrodite's cheeks letting out a small 'thank you'.

"we should let them board now, don't want them to miss the train" orion said as he flipped his wrist up showcasing his expensive looking watch as he checked the time. the two women nodded before saying tiny goodbyes to their children as they boarded and sighed in relief at the thought of being away from their parents for the next few months.

regulus gave a small wave to aphrodite which she returned before he made his way down the compartments to find his slytherin friends, the ones that aphrodite despised with her whole being. they weren't the kind of crowd she wanted the boy hanging around with but with the two not being as close as they were when they were children she didn't really have a place to say anything.

"venus, come on" sirius said to the girl making her snap back to her senses as sirius slipped her hand into his and began dragging her down the train to find their friends, or more specifically the marauders, the feeling of his hand in hers not being foreign to her.

the two had grown up alongside one another first meeting when they were only six and seven at a dinner party the blacks held. both being placed beside eachother, not saying anything the whole dinner party showcasing exceptional manners for such tiny children before leaving the room to the wait in sirius' room where they began to pull the silliest of faces to eachother after aphrodite bounced on the boys neatly made bed messing it up. from then on the two had always been close always finding comforting in eachother when they're parents upset them.

"so what did you get up to this summer, puppy?" the girl asked as she felt sirius' grip tighten at the nickname she established for him after finding out about him and the marauders turning themselves into illegal animagus' to help out their friend remus lupin during full moons, due to his lycanthropy problem.

"let me see, i was locked in my bedroom for a few weeks before running off to stay with james" the boy said in thought making a small frown tug at aphrodite's lips. she always knew sirius' relationship with his parents was strained after being sorted into gryffindor and deciding to publicly express his disinterest in the idea of pure-blood supremacy, but she didn't think he'd get to the point of leaving home.

sirius could sense the girl thinking what he said over not wanting her to worry to much as he tried snapping her out of her trance by asking her about her summer instead to which she replied with a disgruntled, "father and mother wanted me to look at some suitors but i said i wasn't up for talking about the matter during my holiday" she said making sirius stop dead in his tracks.

"suitors?" the boy asked as he pulled a face as if to make sure he had heard her correctly, sirius knew her parents were probably going to marry her off at a point but he did have the small voice in the back of his head telling him that they valued her to much to do that to her at such a young age like his cousins bellatrix and narcissa had been.

"yes suitors. i thought your mother would've told you, i know how badly she wants us to get married" the girl said scoffing as she thought of all the times the women would imply it at the dinners she attended or whenever in the presence of her father. it was like it was walburga blacks goal to marry her oldest son of to the descendant of merlin and morgana knowing how much more power it'd bring to the house of blacks to have those kind of affiliations.

"what's so wrong with marrying me?" sirius asked with mock offence at her scoff as he brought his free hand to his chest, the girl gave him a look before tilting her head with a small giggle knowing he was only joking.

"everything's wrong with marrying you, puppy" the girl laughed as he sent her a real look of offence making the girl roll her eyes before continuing to drag him down the compartments like he had just been doing to her until they stopped outside of one hearing grunts and yelps from inside before a tall boy with messy brown curls and glasses fell out with a lanky boy with shaggy brown hair on top of him.

before the two could say anything a slightly shorter boy with dark eyebags and dirty blonde hair ran out with a wide smile "padfoot! venus!" he said before launching himself in the twos arms making them slightly stumble back well hugging him equally as tight.

"hello, pete" aphrodite laughed as the boy removed his arms from around her and sirius, the smile on his face being contagious bringing out the creases below aphrodite's eyes as she smiled nearly as widely.

peter pettigrew was a small soul in aphrodite's opinion. he barely ever took part in the marauders pranks but was always around when they happened and would always be laughing beside the boys finding great amusement in whatever they did. it didn't matter that he wasn't as attractive or tall or obnoxious as the others because his presence alone was enough to bring up anybody's mood.

"look at the two lovebirds late as usual, probably were snogging off in a toilet somewhere" james said joked he dusted his clothes off standing up from the floor not offering a hand to help remus up.

sirius glared at the boy slightly well aphrodite only rolled her eyes before removing her hand from sirius' and walking straight up to him and poking him in the chest "you're just jealous that your dear lily flower doesn't love you yet" she taunted him before he felt his ears grow pink from embarrassment as the other boys laughed.

"i certainly did not miss you" james said to himself under his breath before aphrodite let out a small scoff and whacking him in the arm making him let out a small laugh before wrapping his arms around her "i'm joking, i'm joking venus" he whispered into her ear.

"i know you are, you'll always miss me" she said a matter-a-factly before pulling herself out of james' arms, the boy had begun to squeeze her extra tight to try and suffocate her probably. she then turnt to a quiet remus lupin who was stood with a smile.

"hello, remus" she said with a smile as the boy nodded his head towards her as a greeting before she laughed lightly and wrapped her arms around him. she took notice of the new scars which had littered his neck and jaw and a specifically large one on his left cheek which looked quite new. the boy let his arms wrap around her shoulders as he rested his head on top of hers.

"okay, that's enough" sirius said as he went to pull the two apart, his small jealousy of the twos relationship rising. he knew he had no right to be jealous considering they weren't together or dating or anything of the sorts and he did have a reputation but the small crush he had held for the girl since his first year had only grown over the years and he was sure it had blossomed into a blown love for the girl with the big curly hair and plump lips.

aphrodite merely chuckled at the boys over protective nature before following the boys into their carriage, her, sirius and remus taking up the seats on the right side and james and peter taking up the seats on the left.

the five caught up about their summers, aphrodite being more vague with her answers whenever the boys asked and sirius oversharing about how much his mother and father were growing on his last nerves. james had gone to cornwall with his family before going to watch the quidditch world cup, remus stayed in london and visited the ministry with his father a few times and peter went down to scotland to visit his grandparents being very adamant to mention all the fudge they made together.

they all indulged on the treats from the honeydukes express, aphrodite gobbling down a few sugared butterfly wings, glacial snowflakes and a cauldron cake. back at home the girl was never really allowed any sweet treats that could affect her figure in any way, it's not like she was put on a strict diet or anything but alcina wasn't the biggest fan of any wizarding treats in the home.

"there you are, deity" marlene mckinnons strong british accent sounded throughout the carriage as the door was suddenly slammed open. the frizzy blonde haired girl with freckles scattered across every crevice of her skin had a wide smile spread across her full lips which were painted a bloody red. the teasing look on her face being accustom.

marlene mckinnon had been attached to aphrodite's hip since their first day, the blonde having grown up beside james potter since she was only a baby had caught james annoying her at the beginning of the year feast and decided to save the pretty girl from the spectacled boy. aphrodite was immensely grateful for the girl who somehow seemed to have a personality bigger than all the cosmos put together.

"marls!" aphrodite nearly yelled out loud as she quickly pushed herself from her seat and into the arms of her friend, the girls arms fitting around the others backs like puzzle pieces. marlene's head resting in the crook of aphrodite's neck as pieces of the brown curls tickled the blondes nose making her scrunch her face.

"let's go, mary and lily are getting impatient" the blonde urged as she latched onto aphrodite's hand making the enchantress send a small wave as of saying goodbye to the boys before her figure was pulled from their eye sight.

𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐬 red hair was something that always seemed to take aphrodite's breath away, no matter how many times she had seen it, touched it, styled it, brushed it aphrodite was infatuated with it. her forest green eyes making aphrodite's legs shake, no wonder james was head over heels for her redheaded bestfriend.

"hello, dove" lily said with a shit eating grin as the redhead opened her arms awaiting the impact that her curly haired friend would throw her way as she did with every other one of her friends. and she was correct as the girl all but practically was now sat on her lap squeezing the girl as if she were to die in the next hour.

"where's mary?" aphrodite suddenly asked as she pulled back from the hug letting the redhead breathe normally once again, a wave of worry washing over aphrodite's face. she couldn't help herself but worry after the incident that occured last year between mary and mulciber. a shiver running up her spine at the memory of finding the brunette practically balling her eyes out in the kitchen as the kitchen elves tried to quieten down her loud sobs that bounced off the walls.

"she's in the toilet, don't worry" marlene said with a small smile knowing how much aphrodite worried, whether she realised it or not. the bronze skinned girl sighing in content before letting herself fall back onto the chair, her legs resting on lily's lap.

"so how was the she devil?" marlene asked after a moment of silence passed through the carriage, the blondes deep blue eyes holding some sympathy but she didn't let it show through too much knowing aphrodite didn't like being pitied.

"insufferable as usual. i mean i love her, obviously. she is my mother. but merlin! can she just let me breath for a second without being judged?" the girl asked although she already knew the answer. it was quite a challenge to put up with her mother, considering the womens time and attention was always placed upon her only child. and not for all of the right reasons a good majority of the time. sometimes she just wished her father would spend some time with them and draw alcina's attention away from her.

"insufferable, are we speaking of rosier?" mary macdonalds irish accent met aphrodite's ears as a teasing smirk was spread across the brunettes lips. if aphrodite hadn't been bestfriends with the girl since her first year she wouldn't even be able to tell the girl was mary. she certainly matured more than last year and was no longer just pretty, but simply alluring.

"god is that mary macdonald or a playboy model?" aphrodite asked with a gasp as mary made her way over to her friend with a chuckle before letting her hug her. a hug mary was much looking forward to the whole day. it brought her comfort to know she was back with all of her friends and that they'd be going home.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 was filled with bustling students who were more than excited to return to hogwarts and first years who were probably scared shitless into what house they'd be sorted into. she noticed many familiar faces such as quirinus quirrel, olivia green and sybilll trelawney from ravenclaw who were all in her year. bertha jorkins a 7th year, davey gudgeon and amos diggory a 5th year from hufflepuff. mulciber, regulus who was a year below her, severus, avery and klaus rosier from slytherin.

klaus rosier was a cold soul always shoving people away who tried any advances towards him whether they were friendly or romantic. the boy was admired but also feared around hogwarts. he was a cousin to bellatrix, andromeda and narcissa black due to his father being druella blacks brother. everyone expected the boy to get through hogwarts with no friends eventually moving on to become a death eater like his grandfather and uncle who both met untimely demises a few years back

but that all changed when he met aphrodite his third year, the two becoming potion partners after he had gotten into an arguement with mary macdonald his previous partner. after that it was like klaus rosier had been made for aphrodite ambrosius from the start and aphrodite ambrosius was made for klaus rosier till the end.

aphrodite was pulled into a seat in- between lily and james, the redhead not wanting to be seated next to james so instead opting for putting her friend through the curly haired boys annoying rambling the entire feast instead. besides james was peter and besides lily was mary across from them would be marlene, remus, sirius and then peter. sirius being seated directly across her.

the older students all watching the first years be sorted with a new sort of restlessness washed over them all, half from hunger and the other half from wanting to see who would be joining their house. aphrodite clapped for every new student, even those sorted into slytherin, but made sure to make extra noise for the new gryffindors. it was finally time for dumbeldore's welcoming speech which was short and simple but held a huge sense of familiarity.

"welcome to a new year at hogwarts! before we begin our banquet, i would like to say a few words. and here they are: nitwit! blubber! oddment! tweak! thank you!" the old man who had an unhealthy obsession with lemon drops said with a content smile before heaps of food appeared before all of the students. the first years looking shocked as ever as the other years tucked in, over all of the theatrics from their time spent at the school.

nearly headless nick popping his head through the tables scaring a few unsuspecting first years and even a few 5th and 4th years who were still not used to the ghosts , one of them being marlene. peeves the poltergeist also messing with a few students by making their plates float and their drinks tip which resulted in professor mcgonagall ushering him out.

aphrodite didn't really indulge into her food like the others as she let her eyes skim throughout the hall, she caught a few curious looking first years probably trying to figure out if she was who they thought she was or not. she was glad everyone else treated her the same as the other students, although she knew if her mother ever found out that she wasn't being treated as the powerful witch she was that she'd throw a hissy fit and demand a whole ball dedicated to her or something.

"what's on your mind, love?" sirius asked as she let her brown orbs flicker to meet his own ones which were a considerable amount lighter than her own. the boy had been observing her for the past five minutes and was worried when she hadn't touched the food on her plate once. her favourite, pumpkin pastie, not even being bitten into.

"nothing, nothings wrong" she dismissed with a wave of her hand. their was nothing wrong in all honesty, she was just happy. the boy shot her a look of disbelief before she reached across the table to grab a hold of his hand "i'm just happy to be back" she reassured him as she rubbed the back of his hand once before letting it drop and digging into her food. the feelings of being whole once again taking over her whole body.
