ALESSANDRO'S POV

We followed Venom into the living room. I saw Dante and Emilion from the side of my eyes, amusement all over their faces, guess they liked the house as well.

Venom kept leading the way until the four of us stood in front of a black door, she opened it, revealing stairs that led underground. After a lot of stairs we finally stood on the ground, following Venom into a long, huge hallway. The walls were gray, crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. There weren't any speakers attached to the walls yet the same soft music was playing in the background. We kept walking for less than five minutes, arriving in front of another door, this time it was a silver door. She pushed it open, allowing us to get in. There were small rooms at both sides, each locked with slam locks. The doors represented prison cell doors, just a cleaner version. This place was confusing, how could she have all of this underground, the distance of the upper house wasn't enough to have that much space underground.

Last door we reached, she twisted the knob, holding the door for us to go in. I walked in first, followed by the two of them. Emilion walked past her slowly, staring deeply into her eyes. I know he doesn't trust her. Neither do I, but if she wanted to kill us, she would have done it a while ago.

I let my eyes travel around the room, it was an office. A dark wooden desk placed in the middle of the room, a library on the right and a dark wooden closet on the left. There was only one window in the room which showed a black room in the back, explaining the side door next to the library. She sat down on her chair, raising a hand for us to take seats as well. Dante and Emiliom sat on a gray couch. While I sat on a black leather armchair.

We stayed quit for a while, she was going through her laptop, doing god knows what. We watched her writing, signing off papers, throwing some of them in the garbage. Should I start. I glanced over at Dante, nodding at whatever I was thinking. "Ms Antonio, we would like to inform you that we didn't come here to disturb your privacy or harm you in any way. I'm sure you are aware of the amount of deaths you caused my men along with millions of people around the world. We would appreciate it if you told us what were your intentions. I know we sent them to find you, but what made you so sure we wanted to kill you. What if we wanted to make a deal, peace between each side. If that was a way of rejection, then give us an explanation on leaving the address to your own house, leading us to where we're right now" I kept my eyes on her until she slowly lifted her head up and looked at me passionately. I focused my gaze on her light hazel eyes, hating myself for missing this.

She just kept looking at me, without any words, which caused more confusion yet again. "What if she's deaf?" I watch her full lips form into a smirk in response to Emilion's comment.

She stood from her seat walking toward the door we walked in a few minutes ago. I stood up at her sudden movement, followed by Dante and Emilion. We walked back all the way we came from, reaching the stairs, back to the first floor's living room. Right before we stepped anywhere closer, she raised a hand, stopping us from getting any closer. She kept walking, reaching a specific place. She raised a hand, pointing her index finger to the ceiling, moving it in a circle. Her eyes landed back on us, with a nod for us to continue walking. "What the fuck was that?" Whispered a confused Emilion, yet loud enough for her to hear him. She slowly turned her body towards our direction and walked past us. The three of us stood there, watching her in confuse. She reached the place she was standing at a second ago. For the second time pointing and moving her index finger to the ceiling. She grabbed a book from the small library on her right and threw it where we stood before. Bullets flew in the area, out of everywhere. Fire coming out of the walls, along with thrown knives. We watched the book burn and get destroyed, turning into dust in a matter of a second. She looked back at us, smirking yet again. She knew, she knew how much power she held.

She led us back to the main living room. The four of us took seats, each far from the other. She was silent again, why can't she just speak. For the love of god, it was already confusing enough, her house, her. Everything was a mess in my mind and her silence wasn't making it any easier.

I sighed, leaning my back on the chair. So this was the weird system people talked about "She has this weird complicated system that no one could figure out, anyone who gets in, steps a toe inside her house gets killed. All that remains are some dead bodies covered in blood and bullets". I looked over at Dante, remembering his words. Months ago I didn't believe a word people used to say, I never do. I had to see it with my own eyes to believe. Here I am, believing each word was said about this woman, discovering more.

She's smart, really smart. Doing all of this, building a house, being who she is without any notice from the whole world. Mafias, cops, assassins, spies are after her, and none of them were able to reach her or get the smallest information about her. It was time to discuss what we actually came here for and leave.

"We came here to discover more about you Mrs Antonio, and I am glad of attending this visit, bringing two of my dearest men. And will be glad to have you working with us, your work has amazed a lot of people and I'm sure you're well aware of that." All she gave me was a nod, which gave me a sign to keep going "I am aware that you work independently alone, this is not an offer to join the mafia. We are taking the opportunity to have you work along with us, due to your many talents and impressive work. Take all the time in need. Will understand your acceptance or rejection. Thank you for having us" I said my last words, standing up, letting Dante and Emilion know that we're leaving and our time here was over.

I started my way towards the door I first came in. I grabbed the knob, opening the door for Dante and Emilion to get out before me. I looked back at where she was sitting, she wasn't there anymore.

I shook it off and took myself out, closing the door without making any sound. We reached back to my car, getting in, each one of us taking his seat. I started the engine and took off, leaving the house we have been searching for in months. "Do you think she will accept" Asked Dante "I don't know". She had many reasons to reject the offer. The fact that I kidnapped her once, sent men after her, not forgetting my father who's waiting to lay a hand on her. Although she might accept, we still got Lydia. If she's her biological mother, I'm sure she wouldn't leave her daughter behind.

But she let us take her, if she wanted her, she would have taken her back a long time ago. Lydia didn't know who she was, which made it nonsense. I will try to talk to Lydia, maybe I need to earn some trust for her to talk.

We took the road back home, picking Lydia from my parents house first. We arrived back at my house, parking the car. I told Lydia to stay with me while Dante went to check on that girl he bought and Emilion went out to meet some people he knew. We got in the house, heading towards my office. I opened the door, letting Lydia walk in first. She took a seat while I closed the door behind me. I walked over to my seat, taking the keys of my Ferrari out of my pocket, putting them on the desk while sitting down. "Listen Lydia, I want to apologize on behalf of my fathers words and actions. I know he doesn't have the right to speak to you in that way and I know it must have made you upset. He's just been under a lot of pressure since the Russian Mafia, our enemies started stealing shipments and killing our men. I am not giving him excuses, he has always been that way, but he keeps getting worse because of the situations we're in." I let out a brief sigh at the end of my sentence and don't expect her to say anything. "Were you the one who made me the sandwiches" she asked hesitatingly. I looked up at her "yes" I saw her eyes lighten up at my response "Thank you Mr Santoro"

"Alessandro"

I said with a small chuckle "thank you Alessandro" her smile was so bright, so meaningful, guess she likes me now. "Are you sure you don't know anything about your parents Lydia, any siblings, family members" She took her time to think, searching for an answer "I want to remember but I really can't, I would always wonder when I was home alone. I was alone all the time so thoughts would fill my mind. That person I would see, we never talked. They would be standing there for a second and then they would disappear. It's crazy how fast it was, I would only take my eyes off them for less then a second, looking back, they would be gone already. I wanted to be friends with them, you know to fill in my loneliness. And maybe they knew what happened to my family, but I wasn't able to because of their unnoticeable disappearance" She finished her sentence with a sad look on her face. I couldn't imagine how she felt, living alone without knowing where her family was, left without a person there to check on her. I wanted to tell her that everything will be okay, but no words or actions will bring back all the years she was left alone.

Two hours later, Lydia had already left my office, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I wanted Venom to join us, work beside us. She is such a talented woman. Her work impresses me more and more each day. Everything about her was hidden, a mystery, yet the little things left known were good enough to make her my first and last thought day and night.

My mind took me back when we were standing in front of the glass wall, when I saw her in the lights. I can't hide the fact that she is so incredibly beautiful. Her features matched her so much, every inch of her body mixed perfectly together. Her eyes are so special, holding a lot of power in them. She was confident, walking heads up without any hesitation of her next move. I always wondered how she got to be that person. She wasn't in any mafia, her parents are left unknown along with personal information about her. No one is aware of what she looks like, her age, her past, her address, nothing, it all was hidden pretty damn well. She succeeded at making the whole world fail at finding the slightest thing about her. And that was enough to make me sure she was someone different.

I got pulled out from my thoughts by the knock on the door, Dante walked in, informing me dinner was ready. It was almost midnight but we didn't eat anything other than the snacks we got from the gas station. I placed both of my hands on the desk pushing the chair backwards with my leg and got up. We left the office, going downstairs to the kitchen. Emilion and Lydia were already there, sitting on the couch watching the TV. I walked over to the counter, grabbing a plate of Carbonara. I held my plate, sitting on a chair next to the coach they are sitting on. We watched a random show while eating.

I finished eating, washing my plate and heading back to my office. I needed to get my keys and a couple papers to work on while laying in bed. I walked down the hallway, noticed some of the lights were off.

I stood in front of my office, feeling the unusual cold air before getting in. I turned on the lights and made my way towards the desk, reaching a hand to grab my keys when I found A letter.

There was a letter on my desk. Right next to my keys. I don't remember getting any mails today. I grabbed it, turning it to the other side.

VENOM ANTONIO
