Chapter 13: Mini Reward For Doing Me The Favor

"What? You're a person of blood clan origins but you're protecting a human. You're not qualified to be an elder at all!"

Gwyn tauntingly remarked as Shu only glared at him before retorting,

"Are you qualified then? Someone who only uses despicable means to achieve his goal? Moreover, if I can't even protect my blood servant, how can I safeguard the glory of the blood clan?"

"Save your petty words! You think I'm despicable then so are you!"

"Enough! Shut up both of you!"

Lui interrupted with a loud voice as he took a deep breath to calm himself down before glancing at Gwyn from the corner of his eye as he said,

"Gwyn, you don't need to go to the Hall of Elder. You'll be escorted out."

"W-Wha-"

"Don't ever come back. Return to the North, your homeland."

"H-hold on! Lord Lui! Please give me another chance! I promise to not do it again!"

"It's a shame, Gwyn of the Reynolds family. Where's your dignity of the blood clan?"

The icy-blue-haired vampire said in a disappointed tone as his assistant started to drag out the magenta-eyed vampire who began to thrash around violently.

"Shu Kurenai! (Y/N) (L/N)! I'll have my vengeance!"

He exclaimed before Lui's assistant dragged him away from view completely. After he was gone, Shu glanced down at the (h/c) haired girl who was shivering while looking down.

"Don't be afraid."

He spoke softly as he rubbed her shoulder gently, in an attempt to soothe her. She slowly looked up at him as she thought,

'Actually instead of Gwyn, what I'm afraid of is that I've stepped into a world of vampires...and it was all for you...'

"Don't be very happy, young master of the Kurenai family. As a candidate for the next elder, it's far from enough to use petty tricks."

Lui suddenly said, grabbing the attention of both the albino and his blood servant. He turned around and started to walk away as he said,

"I appreciate your tactics but you need to look out for yourself."

And with that, he was gone.

Right after him, Valt sneakily went back inside as well before turning to glance at the duo one last time as he said,

"I suddenly remember, I've got some work to do. So I'm gonna leave the both of you alone. See you~"

'This fellow is kind of clever!'

Shu thought as he watched the blunette leave before turning his attention back to (Y/N) as he said,

"Come with me."

"Eh?"

Outside the castle:

"This is..."

(Y/N) said in awe as she looked around the place while she stood still, her hand intertwined with Shu's.

"The castle is full of blood clan, you must feel uneasy. It's quieter here."

'He actually noticed it...'

The girl thought as a small smile crept up her face and she looked at the albino who seemed to have realised what he'd said as he immediately added,

"Uh, don't get me wrong! This is just a mini-reward for doing me a kind of favor!"

Fortunately for him, the (h/c) haired girl didn't notice the red that dusted his cheeks when he said that.

"And..."

"?"

"It's time to show me what you've learnt from the practice."

He said with a smile as he wrapped one arm around her waist while using the other to intertwine with her right hand. (Y/N) was quick to follow as she placed one hand on his shoulder and gently squeezed the right hand that he held.

The music inside the castle was loud enough to echo around almost everywhere so both of them began to dance under the moonlit garden.

"Shu..."

The girl called out while he spun her around before catching her back in position and asking,

"What?"

"Gwyn...set you up because of the future Elder, didn't he?"

"Yes. You know a lot. Did Valt tell you that?"

"Are there other candidates that will try to hurt you like that as well?"

"What? Are you being worried for your master?"

"No, I'm not! I just don't want to get into this kind of trouble."

(Y/N) defended herself quickly but suddenly, her heel twisted which made her lose balance as she yelped,

"Ouch!"

"Look out!"

The vampire prince was quick to jump in action as his arms immediately wrapped themselves around the girl's waist, successfully catching her before she could hit the ground.

The (h/c) haired girl almost instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck as well as she blushed hard when she realised how close their faces were.

On a moment like this, Shu still had his calm face on as he tried to lean in but (Y/N) was quick to turn her head away and dodge as she was blushing like a bright red tomato now.

Without saying anything, the albino vampire grabbed her by the chin and made her turn to him before he leaned in and kissed her deeply.

As both of them were lost in the kiss under the moonlit garden, they were unaware of someone watching them with jealous and hurt eyes.

The shadow was none other than the servant and the female vampire, Lilith. She had been thinking over Valt's words and had ultimately decided to come and help Shu out. But it seemed like she was a little too late.

'That measly woman dares steal my master from me! I shall make her pay!'

She thought as tears streamed down her eyes before she turned around and walked away in haste, accidentally stepping over a dried twig that made a sound which didn't go unnoticed by the (h/c) haired girl.

'Someone is watching!'

She immediately pulled away from the kiss, catching Shu by surprise as he only stared at her before she held his shoulders and exclaimed slightly breathless,

"W-we shouldn't do this here! Someone might see!-"

"Oh? Is that what you're worried about?"

Shu smirked as he leaned closer to her again, making her instinctively lean backwards as he spoke,

"Let's go home then. The party is about to end anyways."

"Huh? W-wait-"

Before (Y/N) could finish her sentence, the albino dragged her by the wrist, towards the car as she gave in after a few seconds and just followed.

Unbeknownst to both of them, they were being watched over by another albino from the shadows of one of the imperial rooms of the college.

"It's rare for us to meet but you've been staring out of that window...Phi."

"Sorry...Lui. It's just that Shu is leaving the castle. I had to see him off."

The albino responded as he turned to face the icy-blue-haired vampire who was holding a glass of wine and sitting on a fancy chair.

"Hmm. You truly cherish your brother."

"I can't help it. Shu is my everything. So I have to protect him well."

"Ohoo~ I'm beginning to get jealous~"

"You must be joking."

Phi shook his head as he turned back to look out of the window, watching Shu's car leave before Lui spoke up again.

"Seriously if you hadn't asked me for a favour, I wouldn't have had any interest to spectate their fight for the Elder."

"Shu and Valt both know that we're friends so they would probably turn to you...without an elder's witness, the show they planned wouldn't have been carried out so smoothly."

"As his brother, you're very thoughtful."

"I'm just letting go its natural course."

"Shu seems to put extraordinary emphasis on his new blood servant. That will influence his evaluation of him given by the Hall of Elder."

"It's fine. It won't last long anyway."

The albino smirked as he watched the car disappear in the distance before turning his attention back to Lui who was smirking as well.

"Anyhow, I've eliminated a competitor for your brother this time. How are you going to repay me?"

"Why don't you tell me...how should I repay you?"

Meanwhile:
At the Kurenai palace:

"Well, surely you have no problems here?"

Shu asked as he had the girl pinned down under him on the bed of his room. His eyes were glowing red as he was smirking down at her flustered and helpless state.

"N-no- That's not what I meant!"

"I have the final say."

He said as he took her hand in his and licked her finger, sending a shiver down her spine.

'Is he going to...drink blood?'

"Open your mouth."

The albino demanded as he placed his thumb on her chin, making her (e/c) eyes widen in surprise as she shook her head furiously,

"No! No!"

"Humph. Objection overruled."

He smirked as he leaned down and kissed her roughly, earning a yelp and an 'Ow!' from her.

'Why is he..doing this to me?!'

"Ow!"

(Y/N) let out another painful gasp as he roughly sucked her neck, making him smirk as he said,

"Good girl. I shall enjoy this-"

The next morning:

"Hmm..."

The (h/c) haired girl groaned a little as she opened her eyes slowly and turned her face away from the sunlight that was falling directly on her face from the window.

"Yo."

The familiar voice made her instantly open her eyes as she jolted up and gasped when she saw the vampire prince lying beside her and staring at her with his head propped on his elbow.

"You- What? What are you doing on my bed?!"

"This is my bed."

The albino pointed out as he sat up and reached out to hold the (h/c) haired girl's arm but she quickly dodged it and got out of the bed exclaiming,

"I'm going to college now!"

Just as she was about to run away, the albino snaked his arms around her waist and shoulders, pulling her back on the bed in a hug.

"Eh?"

"I stayed up all night. Do you think you can just run away from me?"

"By the way, I've thought about it."

"...?"

"Why are you so tiny? And it seems that you can't bear any of my bites?"

"Huh?"

A short while later:

"Well, let's eat."

Shu smiled as he stretched both his arms as if showing off the food on the table.

'What is he trying to do?'

(Y/N) thought as she stared at the dishes and then back at him with an awkward sweatdrop.

Both of them were sitting on laterally opposite sides of the table and this food...was a little too extravagant according to the girl's perspective.

"I'm going to fatten you up. As a blood servant, it's a disgrace to pass out just after several bites."

The albino said as he placed his chin on his palm and stared at her who stared down at her lap, feeling a little embarrassed.

"I-I'm in good health..."

"You slept for two days last time even though I just bit you slightly rough. Do you still think you're good?"

'Is he referring to that time? That wasn't just 'slightly' rough...'

The girl thought as she recalled the time when he was punishing her for losing his crest and running off without permission.

"...It's too much. I can't eat it all..."

"You have to even if you can't."

Shu said as he grabbed a pastry and pushed it in front of her mouth as he continued,

"Hurry up."

"I will eat it myself..."

The (h/c) haired girl tried to protest but he just stared at her sternly with the pastry in front of her. She sighed softly before she began to eat by his hand.

After a while, she finished eating. But there was a little bit of cream on her mouth so the vampire prince wiped it and put his finger in front of her lips again as he smirked,

"Lick it off."

"Can you stop doing this?"

(Y/N) huffed as she turned her head away from him as he retorted,

"You tell me?"

'...Is this also an order?'

The girl bit her lower lip as she slowly looked at him. She was already tired of this bossy and annoying vampire.

'Fine...'

She thought to herself before licking the cream clean from his finger as he retracted his hand and smirked,

"Good girl. Keep eating. We'll go to college together after you're done."

(Y/N)'s cheeks reddened in embarrassment as she looked down, clutching her dress tight and thought,

'Unbelievable! Just now...I did such a shameless thing...'

A while later:
At the college:

Shu walked in the hall in his usual princely pride with his blood servant following close behind him as the students in the hall began to clear the way for them one after the other.

However, two of the students began to whisper a little too loud.

'Look...(Y/N) (L/N) came to college with the prince!'

'I heard that the prince has taken her to the family party.'

'Men can't be judged by their looks. It looks like we can't offend her anymore...'

Unfortunately for them, the albino heard them and stared at them briefly while passing by which made both of them shiver and instantly shut up.

After a few minutes, the duo reached the (h/c) haired girl's class as the vampire grabbed the girl's shoulders gently and told her,

"I'll pick you up after class."

With that, he turned around and left. (Y/N) clutched her books a little tighter as she turned to get to her seat and thought,

'What if he drops me off and picks me up every day?! What am I gonna do then?'

As she sat on her seat, three of the female students approached her and suddenly began to try to get on her good side.

'Hello, (Y/N)! I made these desserts myself. Why don't we eat it on the lawn outside?'

'How could (Y/N) like your tackiness? (Y/N) if you're interested in taking part in the association's activities after class-'

'You dare to address her name directly. Is she close to you?'

'Get lost!'

The (h/c) haired girl just stared at them with a displeased look as she stood up and walked passed them while saying,

"Sorry, I have something to do. I got to go."

'Ah wait!'

'Where are you going (Y/N)?'

'(Y/N)-'

She ignored their calls and left the classroom. These are the types of people who want to get close when one is having good times but immediately leave when the same person is no longer useful to them.

'Is it alright to let this continue? Will I turn into the person I hate from the bottom of my heart?'

The girl thought as she stood at the railing of the college's rooftop and frowned to herself.

"Why did you come to this place alone? Didn't I tell you to stay in the classroom and wait for me to pick you up?"

The sudden voice behind her, made the (h/c) haired girl almost jump as she looked back to find the vampire prince standing there with his usual smirk on his face.

'Shu...'

Instead of turning to face him properly, (Y/N) turned her back to him as she spoke,

"I can go back on my own!"

"You know what?"

Shu began as he approached the girl and placed his palms on the railing on either side of her, his tall figure towering over her shorter one as he continued,

"In my eyes, this kind of resistance is no different from flirting."

The (e/c) eyes of the girl widened in surprise as he stepped away from her and grabbed her hand, dragging her along with him.

"Let's go home."

"Eh? But what about-"

"I have something for you."

It looks like neither you nor Shu cares about the studies at college. 😂

I apologise for the late update. 😓
It's just that I'm having a little... burnout (I believe is the right word)? I have the ideas in my head but after writing for 1 or 2 minutes...I don't feel like doing it anymore. 😪

Any suggestions on what I can do to write for a longer period without feeling like that? I'd really appreciate it.🥲
