Hawk's shoulders jerked when the door of the police call box suddenly swung open, almost squeezing her fox to death. A man in a light brown trenchcoat stepped outside and the lights in Sherlock's apartment flickered. Hawk blinked twice when the man's eyes turned in an illuminating bright blue. Each time the lights flickered, she could see wings attached to his shadow, casted upon the walls.
Was he a... No way.
Right at that moment, the man started to speak and the resonance of his voice let the floor rumble. "My name is Castiel, I am an Angel of the Lord, and we need your help, Sherlock Holmes."
Well, apparently he was.
Hawk's mouth dropped in an 'o' and for a few seconds, there was no sound to be heard. "Holy sh*t," she squeaked. "I didn't see that coming."
She peeked over Castiel's shoulder to look inside the box, because she was really curious why an Angel would be in something like that. To be honest, this whole thing made zero sense. What on Earth was happening?
That's when Hawk noticed several other people standing inside, also, just on a side note, the blue box was way bigger on the inside. She glanced at Sherlock who still was staring at Castiel with a thoughtful frown between his eyes.
Till Hawk's surpise, Sherlock slowly started to chuckle. She nudged his arm when Castiel threw him a judgemental look.
"Why are you laughing?" she whispered at him, and just like that, Sherlock stopped chuckling. His expression turned dead serious, observing the angel and the police box. Hawk could only wonder what was going on in his brilliant mind.
Slowly, the other people stepped outside the blue box and soon the whole living room was full.
"It is bigger on the inside," Sherlock concluded but Hawk shrugged.
"Or smaller on the outside."
A man with a red bow tie grinned and slapped a man with a brown trenchcoat -- though another one than Castiel's -- on his back, and pointed at Hawk which made her raise her eyebrows. "You, I like you," he commented.
Hawk was confused as of why. "Thanks?"
"You're quite welcome."
She decided to ask the most obvious question, since Sherlock was still lost in thoughts. "So, he is an angel named Castiel, but who are you and why are you here?"
And that's when she realised her mistake as everyone started to introduce everyone and gave an explanation. Names were flying around and it was impossible to distinguish one from the other. Let alone figuring out why they were here.
"One at the time, please!"
This time, they introduced themselves one by one, and when that was finished, Eleven tried to explain why they were here.
"We are here because legends are coming to life." That got Sherlock's attention and he snapped his head at Eleven.
"What did you say? Legends coming to life?" He sprinted towards a bookshelf and grabbed a book, frantically browsing through it. Hawk put down her fox Han Solo and walked over to Sherlock. He was reading a page about 'The Screams of the Death', her light green coloured eyes flew over a few sentences. It sounded an awful lot like what had happened a few days ago in the Bethnal Green Station, indeed as if it had been reenacted.
"How's that possible?" Hawk muttered, more to herself than to anyone else in the room but Ten had heard her.
"Just as how it is possible angels and aliens do exist. The universe is a big and mysterious place. You humans have much left to discover and learn. You don't even know half of it yet." He paused for a moment, focussing his eyes on Sherlock. "So, detective... Will you help us? Without you, the United Kingdom will be lost."
Holmes ripped his eyes off of the book. Again, no one knew what was going on in his mind.
"I'll help," was his answer, and though Hawk was glad he agreed to help them, she was also surprised. As was Eleven, his eyes grew big but then he grinned.
"Well, that went easier than expected."
With a thud, Sherlock slammed the book shut. "Let's just say this is the only logical explanation I've heard since the madness has started."
Apparently, everyone had been as surprised as Hawk and Eleven as it stayed silent. After a while, Hawk decided to break the silence again.
"So... What do we do now?"
But before any could answer that, the sound of the front door opening reached their ears. Hawk guessed it was John who returned from the hospital. Ever since he had found out Ariel had been the victim who had survived the invisible attack at the Bethnal Green Station, he had visited her every day. However, due to her severe injuries, she was still being kept in an artificial coma. Hawk hoped the girl would be okay, John really seemed to care about her.
His footsteps became louder and Hawk glanced at Sherlock. She wondered how John would react at his living room full with strangers. She could imagine some things, though. This would be good. The door opened and John froze on spot. His mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. He frowned and looked at Sherlock with a questioning look.
Holmes shrugged and John's eyes swayed back over the group consisting of twelve persons.
"I'll open the door," John said when the doorbell rang. After one last confused look he turned back around and descended the stairs.
Hawk had trouble with keeping in her laugh when she heard John shout at Greg he shouldn't go upstairs. Boy, this day was getting better and better with the second. But when Lestrade appeared in the door opening and immediately looked at Ten and Eleven, Hawk was perplexed for the second time today.
"Doctors. Is it that hard to go to the Yard? We have discussed this, people are not used at seeing things appearing out of nothing. When something is wrong, you go to our office."
"You know them?" Hawk asked baffled.
Phoenix, the young detective, appeared next to Lestrade and crossed his arms whilst leaning against the doorpost. "O yeah, we know them," and shot the 'Doctors' a disapproving look.
Correction; boy, this day was getting weirder and weirder.

A/N: Does anybody has a good name for the arch demon? I've got nothing. Also, should it be a man or a woman? I think a man, no? We already have so many females.
Anywho, I know it was a bit of a boring chapter (I think I can only write boring chapters) (but the fun is about to get started!) but still, let me know what you think and all that shizzle.
Alrighty, 'til next chapter!
PS. I should be studying for a Semantics test on tuesday, but in stead, I'm writing ... Hehehe. Procrastination for life!
PPS. You may have noticed, but if you're inactive (i.e. not voting or commenting) I'll reduce your character's screen time. I put a lot of effort in writing this, so I guess it is only fair since other than that, I ask nothing in return for making your character a part of this adventure. Pfew, well, glad that's off of my mind. Hawk, Alexis, Gil, Michelle, and Phoenix have got nothing to worry about ;)
