Meanwhile, Kaleb slips inside the cabin from the back door, quickly running to the living room to act as if he'd been there the whole time. Alec turned to see him, quickly catching onto what he was doing, though the cut on his cheek caught him a bit off guard wondering where he got it. Camille had rushed in, immediately going to check on Davina, not questioning the presence of the two boys.
"Put her up on the chair," Cami says. They nod, Alec and Kaleb both picking her up to level her up on the chair, the girl still unconscious. Alec caressing the girl's relaxed face as he balanced her head, for sure she was gonna have some neck pain later. Kaleb turns to see Klaus standing at the door with the white oak stake, still unable to get in without being invited. "Oh, hello, darling. Back to huff and puff and blow the house down?" He says to taunt his brother before getting a harsh glare from Alec.
"You know, it's funny how often a person's sharp tongue can end up cutting their own throat." Klaus retorts. Cami withholds the urge to roll her eyes at the bickering. "Klaus, he's just a kid. Give him a break." Alec nods in agreement, "yeah, she's right. He's a child, don't take him seriously." Kaleb holds the urge to roll his eyes now as he glances at Alec's comment. "You might want to try a bit of lavender under your pillow. Does wonders for stuck-up pillocks with anger issues."
Cami turns to Kaleb, surprised by his behavior. "Hey, shut it."
Klaus tilts his head momentarily, Kaleb's comments sounding oh so familiar. "I promised not to kill Davina. I said nothing of this insolent sod. Better yet, why don't I wake up Candy and let her have a go at him. She likes pretty boys with sharp tongues." Kaleb grins, looking further behind Klaus to see Candice's body lying there. Cami stood up, walking over to him. "Klaus, come on. A minute ago, you had the opportunity to kill your father with this thing, and you didn't. You're not gonna kill these kids with it either."
Klaus looks back at the two and back at Cami, of course he wasn't gonna kill them. He knew exactly who they were. Though he couldn't promise Candice wasn't gonna hurt them. With a sigh, he gives in. "Fine." Cami let's out a relieved breath. "Thank you." Klaus hands Cami his keys to the car as she takes the stake from him. "Go get the car. Let's take her to the hospital." Cami nods, walking away as Klaus approachs the door again, ready to reveal the two witches. "You've got a way with words."
Kaleb glances up at him from where he was, in front of Davina. "Well, I've traveled." He slowly stands to make his way closer. "You seem to have crossed continents in order to weasel your way into Davina's good graces, or well, I suppose your friend here has. Thereby meddling in my family business. Strange, isn't it, unless, of course, it's your family business." Klaus grinned for a second, seeing a smirk rise onto Kaleb's lips. Meanwhile, Alec looked quite frustrated.
"You know, ever since my dinner with my mother and Finn, I wondered when you might make an appearance...Kol." Alec sighs, if only Kol was a little less obvious, they would've been able to keep their covers. He wasn't quite ready to confess to Davina about his true identity. Kol chuckles to himself. "Well, the jig is up. Hello, brother."
"It's not that I begrudge you hitching a ride back to the land of the living. It's just that you're making all the wrong friends, brother. There's a reason Candice went missing for so long. She found out about you, must've been quite scary for you, so you snapped her neck. I have half a mind to show you how wrong you are." Klaus says, noticing Kol glance down at Candice for a second before turning his attention back to his hybrid brother. "But you're not gonna do that, are you, because your little, blonde friend told you to leave me alone."
Before this could go any further, Alec stands up abruptly. "That's about enough out of both of you. All this arguing is pointless and such of a child." Klaus raised a brow, oh this was definitely Anthony. The way he spoke was proper and the way he was quick to squash their fight reminded him of the old days. "I presume this is our dear Anthony. You do realize the moment our lovely Candice wakes up, she is quite literally going to kill the both of you."
Anthony glares at him, walking over to stand in front of Kaleb. "that's enough, Niklaus. Had you not buried your mother in New Orleans with mine, this would've never happened. I could've found peace, instead I'm here, trying to keep my sister's dreadful family alive. Not that they deserve it." Klaus scoffs, disagreeing with that. "There is the Anthony Parker I know, blaming others for his problems, yet again. Are you going to blame Candice for your death or is that not scheduled on your calendar today?"
Kaleb scoffs, moving over to stand next to Klaus. "You know, I'm curious. Does your little friend there take one of those little plastic baggies out when she takes you for a walk?" Klaus clenched his jaw, Anthony walked back over to Davina, not finding this conversation worth his time. "Cami, I've changed my mind. I am gonna kill him after all." Hearing no response, he looks back, "Cami." Kol's eyes landed on Candice as Klaus walks off to see where Cami went.
Kol sits on a rocking chair as Anthony leaned against the wall, trying to decide what he should do. Klaus returns to the door. "Wake her up. Tell her to get Mikael back here now." He demands. Kol raised a brow, pretending to think about it. "Let me think about that." He turned back to face Niklaus. "No. But you should probably get going, Nik. Mikael is probably jonesing for a restorative snack about now. Be a shame for you to find uh, Cami, is it? Nothing more than a bloodless husk."
Klaus held a harsh glare at his brother. "We're not done, you and I. As for Candice, I'll leave her here. I noticed she's been quite the homicidal one lately. She's your problem now." Klaus speeds away, leaving Candice on the porch so when she woke up, she'd hopefully deal with the witch problem for him. Anthony sighed, grabbing a pillow and moving it behind Davina's head so she wouldn't be in pain. "It'd be really useful if you woke up about now. I've kicked a few familiar hornets nests. We really need to scarper."
Kol tilted his head at the interaction, holding a smile. "What's Candy gonna think about you falling for the girl she's so desperate to kill?" Anthony turned around, looking at Kol, he goes to speak until his phone rings. Anthony was quick to decline, seeing it was the man who claimed to be Candice's best friend. That was until blood suddenly drips from his nose, Kol smirks crossing his hands in his lap. Anthony sighed in frustration, wiping it before stepping outside to call Finn back.
"Was that really even necessary?" Kol walked up, standing next to Anthony to listen in. "I despise voice mail. Do you have the white oak stake?" Finn asks. Kol glances back to make sure Davina is still asleep before adding, "hit a bit of a snag, truthfully." Anthony took the phone back with a glare as Finn replies. "Is that what you would like for me to pass along?" He questioned. Anthony clenched his jaw, so frustrated with all this. "Tell her that I've got everything under control. I'm keeping an eye on Davina. She's working on a spell to unlink her mates from Klaus's sire lines so that she can kill him without them dying, too."
Kol leans forward to add, "I'm sure the stake will come back into play when she's ready." Anthony moves the phone back to him, hearing Finn ask them something. "How close is she to completing the spell?" He sighed, glancing down at Candice, wishing he could wake her up to stop all of this. "Well, she's joined your mother's linking and sire bond spells in reverse. Quite clever, really. It's similar to Candice's magic."
"Huh. What's she using as a binder?" Finn asks, a bit impressed himself.
"I'm not sure. Still trying to work that one out. I've already got my hands busy dealing with Kol's screw up." Anthony said, smirking slightly at the glare from Kol. Finn wasn't too amused by any of this, obviously. "Work harder. Mother needs Klaus alive and connected. So may I suggest that if you can't find that stake, you either kill the girl's spell or you kill that girl." Anthony's jaw clenched subconsciously, sharing a look with Kol who raised a brow, knowing that Anthony was definitely not gonna kill the kill.
"And what of Candice?" He asks. Finn shrugs even if they could exactly see him. "Tweak her memory, do what you need to, just keep her alive. After all, you're pretty good at that." Finn hangs up, Anthony was a bit baffled by what he just said. "That was a thousand years ago, can't anyone let it go?" He scoffed, walking back into the cabin as Kol snickers behind him.
"All right. Stay here, watch the girls. I'll cancel Davina's spell, Candice taught me how to." Anthony goes to leave the room until Kol grabs his arm, pulling him back. "Hold up, why am I the babysitter? Why can't I go cancel the spell?" Anthony raised a brow, knowing the real reason Kol was hesitant on staying out there. "Because, I'm the one who's been a witch all my life. And I'm stronger than you, so stay here." Kol huffs, sitting back down on the chair with an eye roll as Anthony leaves to do the spell.
Anthony gets back just in time to see Davina slowly starting to awake, holding her neck with a small wince. "What happened?" He sends a nod to Kol before moving over to the girl. "Davina, you're awake. I was starting to freak out. You okay?" She rubs at her head tiredly. "My head. Klaus?" She asks. "Angry bloke with the deadly aim? Yeah. He smashed the place up and then he left." Alec explains. "Where'd he go?"
"To hunt down your pet serial killer friend. By the way, this is my friend Kaleb, he came by to help out. He's the witch I mentioned a few times." Davina looked at Kaleb and nods, the witch giving a small wave. Davina stands up, still limping on her ankle she fractured previously. "Listen. Not to be Mr. Judgemental here, but I'm starting to question the company that you keep." Davina looks around, trying to piece together what happened. "The white oak stake?"
"It's gone, I'm afraid. The serial killer one took it." Davina let's out a panicked breath, her hand going to her bracelet as she tried to use it to bring Mikael back, though it was deemed useless, courtesy of Alec. "Mikael? Mikael. Mikael! Why isn't this working?" Kaleb shares a knowing look with Alec and has to hold back his smirk. "Sit down. All right? You were out for quite a long time. Maybe that's got something to do with it. Here. Have some water."
"No. You don't understand. If Mikael is free, he can kill Klaus, and then my friends die, too." Davina says, unknown to her that he knew exactly what was happening. Kaleb walks over and leans against the wall, deciding to but it. "Well, if I understand all this, Mikael has been trying to kill Klaus for eons. How are you gonna stop him?" Davina glances at him and back to Alec, shaking her head. "I'm not. I need to finish my spell now."
Alec clears his throat, causing her to put her attention on him. "I think I have someone who can help you out with that." She furrowed her brows in confusion, watching as Kaleb opened the door, revealing Candice unconscious on the porch. She gasped lightly, looking at them with wide eyes. "What happened? Why is she here?"
"Klaus left her here when she got all murderous in hope's she'd kill us. But, we have a plan, if you're up to it," Kaleb explains, leaning against the doorframe. Davina crossed her arms, looking down at Candice, she then turned to Alec. "Okay, what's the plan?" Alec smirks, sharing a look with Kaleb who was hoping this would work. It would prevent Candice from killing him instantly.
"Seeing as you have the bracelet, we figured you could use it to well...keep her under control." Alec explains. Davina looks between Candice and Alec, contemplating this all. It wasn't a bad idea to have Candice under her control. She could use her to her own advantage for the stronger spells. "Okay, let's do it." Kaleb grins, rubbing his hands, "we gotta hurry up. She could wake up any second. Invite her in."
Davina nods, "she can come in." Alec and Kaleb both pull lift up Candice to set her on the chair as Davina chants under her breath, the bracelet glowed signaling it was working. Candice slowly woke up with a groan, reaching her hand to hold her neck when she suddenly realized what was going on. Throwing her hand out, Kaleb was thrown against the wall. Before she could do the same to Alec, Davina threw out her hand, the bracelet glowed causing Candice's hand to freeze. "What the hell did you do to me?! Let me go?!"
Kaleb pulls himself back up as Alec and Davina high five, happy it was working. Davina goes to stand in front of a very infuriated Candice Parker. "Okay, here's how this works. You can't do anything without my permission, no using your magic unless I say so. You will not even talk unless I give you my permission. Do you understand me?" Candice clenched her jaw, trying to fight against the magic but it was too strong even for her. If it held back Mikael it could certainly hold back her.
"Talk." Davina orders. Candice glares up at her, "I will kill everyone you have ever loved you twisted little girl! You will die begging for mercy!" Davina threw her hand out, causing Candice to scream at the pain in her head. "Alright, fine! Fine! Stop it!" Davina dropped the spell and Candice huffed, reaching her hand up to rub her head. Davina smirks, sharing one with Alec and Kaleb. "Okay then. Follow us, no talking unless you want your neck snapped again."
Candice stood up, glaring at Kol who put an arm around her, Candice not being able to do much about it because of Davina. She follows them into a room with a ton of grimoires, candles and dark objects lying around. A smirk graces her lips, none of these spells could even compare to hers. Davina grabs her a few things, setting them in Candice's arms and walking back out to the living room.
Candice looked down at the spell, reading through it as Kaleb, Davina, and Alec got everything ready. The spell certainly didn't compare to hers. But it would do. "Permission to speak, darling?" Candice mumbles, reading through the spell again. Davina turned to face her and nodded. Candice inhaled, looking down at the girl. "Well, perhaps we should hold off on this." Davina furrowed her brows, "No. I have everything I need. Combine a knotting spell with a sire bond spell. I just have to combine them the right way."
"Then do them in reverse." Candice raised a brow as Davina turned back to her. "Darling, I don't think you quite understand. Breaking a thousand year sireline takes the power of an entire coven. Don't you think that's a bit advanced for a small girl such as yourself." Davina takes the spell from Candice, not bothered by what she said. "I can give you a list of people who have underestimated me. Not one of them has done it a second time."
Candice chuckles, taking a seat on the chair, she crosses her legs, ignoring Kaleb who stood next to her. "Ah love, I believe it. I myself have been underestimated for centuries, even by the ones I cherish most." She smirked, Kaleb gulped knowing she was talking majorly about him. "But, you should listen to me, darling. I know what I'm doing. I've been around for a thousand years, I'm the reason witches even questioned breaking the sireline. After all, I wrote the original spell."
Davina smirks causing Candice to squint her eyes in suspicion. "Oh, trust me, I know. You're power alone is enough to cover an entire coven. That's why you're going to help me." Candice's eyes widened, her breath hitching as she looked away. "You don't understand, love. If I break his sireline, he will kill me, or worse." Davina shook her head confidently. "No, he won't. Cause he'll be too dead to do anything."
Candice sighs under her breath, leaning back in the chair and keeping quiet. Alec spoke up, standing in front of Davina. "Well, perhaps, it couldn't hurt if I help you. I mean, I wouldn't exactly put all my trust in Candice if I were you. I'm pretty good at stuff like this." Candice scoffs from where she sat, glaring at the back of the witch's head. Davina hums, "I don't think so. It's not just saying spells backwards, Alec. It's chanting the verb tense into-"
"Nemo unus animabus carnem et sanguinem de ista duo." Alec spoke, cutting off Davina mid way as she looked up at him in shock. Candice raised a brow, her eyes widening slightly, oh she knew exactly who this was. "Like I said, I'm pretty good at what I do. It's never paid to underestimate me either." Candice chuckles lowly under her breath, tilting her head, "I'm sure you are, Alec." She could see him tense from the back, telling her all she needed to know.
"Okay. Let's do this." Davina agrees. They walked back into the room, Candice takes a seat on the floor between Alec and Davina. "Permission to use magic, dear?" Candice asks teasingly, her eyes finding Kaleb's as he watched the three. Davina rolls her eyes, "Permission granted. But if you even say a word wrong to mess up my spell, I will kill you."
Candice rolls her eyes dramatically, crossing her legs. "Promises, promises."
They started the spell, chanting simultaneously. "Sanquinatum venetus barkael meh. Sanquinatum venetus barkael meh. Sanquinatum venetus barkael meh." Candice noticed it first, the spell clearly wasn't working because it wasn't binded to anything. Though, this was quite convenient for her so she saw no use for bringing it up. Davina seemed to notice it as well. "Stop! Stop. This isn't working."
"Well, maybe you're just doing it wrong," Alec suggests.
"No. We have to get this right. Josh, Marcel, their lives depend on it." Davina says. Candice pursed her lips, "mine does too, in case you forgot." Davina looks to Candice with a glare, knowing she probably had something to do with it not working. "You have to be messing with the spell, it was working fine earlier. Go and stand next to Kaleb. We'll do this ourselves." Candice chuckles, raising her hands in defeat, she stood up, taking stand beside Kaleb who was she still avoiding.
"Look, just stop chanting. I'll chant and channel your power." Davina takes Alec's hands and shuts her eyes. Candice giggles, nudging Kol, happy Davina was finally going to figure it out. Davina pulls away, glaring at Alec who was a bit exhausted by that. "You're one of them. Both of you are!" Candice takes a step back as Davina uses her magic to throw Kol and Alec into the wall. "You liar!" Davina focuses more on Alec as she throws him again.
Candice grabs onto Kol, pulling him up and patting his cheek, turning to enjoy the rest of this show. Alec had thrown out his hand, using his magic to throw Davina into the wall. "That hurt." Candice lifts her hand, giving her brother a migraine, he groans. "Okay, okay, okay. Stop it, sister!" She smirks, letting go. Kol winced from the pain in his back, Candice pats it, making it hurt more.
"You ruined a spell and now my friends are gonna die because of you!" Davina exclaimed. "Esther said, kill the spell or kill her. And I happen to like you." Anthony explains, holding his arm that hurt from being thrown. Candice went to object until Kol put a hand over her mouth, signaling for her to be quiet. Davina scoffs, not believing him for one second. "Oh, please."
"Listen, you don't disobey mother dearest without some consequences. Especially when they're a Mikaelson. Yes, she brought me back to life but she's mad as a hatter. And that man you've made your pet, also a Mikaelson, well he's more of lunatic than she is. And trust me, I know lunatics, I was born by one and you've met my sister." Anthony said, causing Candice's eyes to widen in offense, this time it was Kol's chance to giggle.
"What, so you just unleash him?" Davina argued. "You're the one who brought him back to life first," Anthony retorts smoothly. "I had him under control," Davina shot back with a glare. Candice and Kol watched on, silently wondering if they were gonna kiss or not. "Yeah, right up until the point you didn't, which is when he threatened me. He wished for freedom, so I granted it. You want to know my secrets?" Anthony held his wrists out, "then here you go. Go on. Have at it. Yes, I am a Parker, and he is Mikaelson. But we've got just as much reason to loathe the lot of them as you do."
Davina inhaled sharply, glancing over at Kol who nods in agreement with Anthony. It's not like he shared happy memories with his family. "You deactivated my bracelet. How?" She asks. "It's a dark object. My sister specializes in dark objects. So, I know a little something about creating and destroying them." Anthony said. Davina glances at Candice who nodded, though she really just wanted to be freed from this dreadful restraining spell.
"Show me."
"All right."
