My hand grips on the wheel and my knuckles begin to whiten, the news that broke free was just enough for me to lose my shit. The final straw.
Zooming past the red lights I don't even focus on the carnage behind me, individuals losing their mind over some idiot racing their car. But little did they know the emergency that had occurred.
I couldn't explain the way I was feeling, but happy was not it. I rubbed my hands against the steering wheel and put more pressure on the accelerator, encouraging the engine to roar louder and the range rover to drive faster.
I couldn't understand the situation, well, I could, but I didn't want to. I wanted to drop myself away from this nonsense, not deal with it. But I have to, it's my duty. But I can't help the anger heat through my body, raging through all my veins.
The mansion comes into view and I finally take a sigh of relief when I see the majority of the lights flickered on. I glanced down at the clock in the car as I pull up in the car park and notice it is no longer the afternoon anymore, the sun has disappeared and rain has taken its place as well as the stars and the half crescent moon.
I slam the door shut and lock it up, walking away from it and walking closer to the mansion, I was thankful my father wasn't around to hear the dreadful news, yet I still will have to tell him over the phone.
I open up the mansion door and hear nothing but silence, I glance around and suddenly see Draco and Justin striking up a conversation amongst whiskey glasses.
"Oh hey boss." Justin blows the silence over and reveals his annoying voice.
"Where is Bruno?" I raise my brow and attempt to ask calmly, even though my blood is about to boil over.
"Out, why?" Justin looks at Draco then lays his eyes on mine. Why my brother is out I have no idea, it's the evening and everyone is getting on my nerves.
I roll my eyes and sigh, "Where?" But a sudden pull of my blazer is leaning on my left, I turn and look down to see Violetta standing their with her stuffed bear.
"Violetta, where is mummy and daddy?" I ask, but she looks at me with a sleepy look on her face. I sigh and pick the heavy lump up, resting her head on my shoulder as her weight becomes heavier and heavier with each step I take.
"Let's get you to bed." I mutter and Violetta nods lightly, clearly tired of the day she has, quite frankly I don't blame her, today has been a pile of shit.
I walk up the stairs and hold onto Violetta carefully, but a sudden mutter leaves her small lips, the mutter was barely a whisper, but was loud enough to wind me up. "Mummy and daddy out for dinner." I nod and continue to walk up the stairs and open her bedroom door to find Blondie standing there hovering over Violetta's bed with her child in it.
"What do you think you're doing?!" I raise my voice and she places her index finger over her plump lips, placing it in the middle.
I place Violetta in bed with the strange child and rise the duvet up to her shoulders and instantly walk out of the room with Blondie not far behind.
The heat was already boiling up and I could feel the presence of her not far behind me at all, I turn and stare at her and witness Luna closing the door and then staring at me with an annoyed expression. "Why did you have to raise your voice?" She folds her arms one over the other and huffs in front of me which only causes my mood to progress badly.
"Didn't expect a sleepover." I mutter and begin to walk away from the nobody standing in front of me.
But her voice suddenly pulls me back, "You don't always have to be rude you know?" She huffs and that's when I turn around and storm up to her, expecting a reaction out of her, a jump, a stutter. But no.
"Don't you dare, I hardly know you, I don't want to get to know you, respect is earned, not just given, so once you open yourself up on who the fuck you are, you are nothing to me, you got me?" I cock up my brow and the blood has finally finished boiling, it has spilt over that I can't even handle it myself, yet I push myself away from her and force myself down the stairs and into the gym.

His words cut deep, I almost wondered what had happened for him to be in such a bad mood, but he's a mafia boss, he's always in a bad bloody mood. I take in a deep breath and decide not to stand for his shit.
I run down the stairs in preparation to stick up for myself, defend myself against him. After all what's the worse that could happen?
I hold onto the banister and not look where I'm going, but feel the end draw nearer and nearer, until a warm body is my barrier to stopping me get what I want.
"I'm sorry." I mutter and look up to see the dark hair stare down at me along with the pale eyes.
I take in a large gulp and watch as his eyes sparkle down at mine, shining brightly he releases a smile which makes my blood feel a hint of warmth.
"How are you?" He questions me along with an eyebrow raise, I nod and return the question faintly.
Draco smiles at me and releases a nod. It all feels too awkward now. It didn't when we were working in the office together, but now it does. Knowing he works for the brothers was a bit unexpected, I almost assumed he was better than that.
"Can I-" He stops talking to take in a deep breath. "Can I make you a coffee?" He raises his eyebrow and almost hides his smile in hopes to not get his heart crushed, but my mind is already nodding for me without even thinking.
I'm already following Draco into the kitchen and my body is already feeling warm, even though the laminate flooring is cold and hidden under my feet.
We reach the kitchen where the smell of coffee is already running up my nostrils. I haven't been here long but it's long enough that I know how to work every single thing in this kitchen, even though they have maids to do their dirty work for them. I keep my rolling eyes hidden and take a seat next to the counter.
Draco stands at the other side and is already pouring the coffee into the mugs, he glances at me with his pale orbs and releases another smile. "Do you take sugar?" He questions and I nod, replying with how many I take.
The coffee is suddenly made and Draco is now sitting next to me, but the conversation seems to be silent, nothing is being said and there seems to be nothing said. I leave my mind to wander on who Draco is.
"So." I mutter under my breath, suddenly feeling defeated under his presence.
"So how did you end up here?" He cocks up his brow and I release a small chuckle.
"Funny story actually." I take the rim of the mug and place it close inbetween my lips and let the boiling liquid travel down my tongue, I was glad the coffee wasn't piping, otherwise I'd end up with swollen taste buds.
"I don't really talk about it, I refuse to I suppose." I gain Draco staring at me full of curiosity in his eyes.
"Well if it makes you feel any better, I like a mystery." I feel my cheeks burning and a smile smearing across my face only to reveal my tiny dimples.
"What about you?" I question, staring at Draco who releases a small chuckle.
"Well, I suppose you could say they saved me." He covers the sentence with another small laugh, I look at him and watch as the emotion changes within his face. "I was struggling and had just lots my brother to another gang, I needed revenge."
I couldn't blame Draco for why he joined this mafia, he wants revenge for his brothers death, like the quote says, everyone grieves differently.
"So, you have a daughter?" He questions and I nod, not lightly but strongly, I love my daughter and am not afraid to tell people that I have a child.
"Wow, Alessia right?" He throws another question and I nod once again, we both continue to drink our coffees until someone tall and broad stands next to Draco and I.
"Draco, why are you talking to Luna?" Dante looks down at us and I take in a large gulp. He stares down at me as if I'm rubbish on the floor and I'm already feeling like shit in his presence. He's wearing shorts and a black vest, the sweat dropping down from his forehead and his hair slicked back from the sweat.
But Draco stands tall, opposite Dante looking at him, not breaking eye-contact. Draco is only slightly shorter than Dante but it seems that he seems more annoyed in this moment in time, the heat is radiating off of Draco's body and I can feel the sweat tickling down my spine.
"Remember, I'm here my own benefit, not yours. Meaning I can do what the fuck I like." Draco gets close to Dante's face and grits through his teeth, they both stare at me but I suddenly look away.

I decided it was best to make my way to bed, far away from the awkwardness downstairs with the men, I couldn't be bothered to stay near them, witnessing the anger radiating off of their bodies.
I reach the door and suddenly open it, only to feel a light grip around my wrist pulling me to stare at something, or someone.
"Dante?" I stare at him and release my wrist from his grip, the daggers are pulsating through my pupils as I watch his mood turn again.
"You stay away from Draco, you hear me?" He states in an aggressive tone, not happy one bit. I bite my lower lip and hide my emotions.
"Like you said Dante, respect is earned. I'm not a part of your mafia, meaning I don't have to listen to a word you say." I smile lightly and watch as emotion laces around his face.
"Can you just listen, I'm under so much pressure at the moment, I have no fucking clue who you are and you're in my house!" His voice raises only causing my blood to get warmer and warmer under his presence.
I walk up to him and get into his face and mutter," I suggest you back away Dante, you and I aren't on the best of terms at the moment. You have no control over me, you just don't like it. Now back off." I back away and continue to open my bedroom door widely to allow my body in and face Dante one last time, revealing his defeated expression.
I get into my bed and suddenly worry that Alessia is in the other room with Violetta and not with me, not because I don't trust Violetta, but because I miss Alessia for my own benefit. I want to witness that she's okay.
But I take in a deep breath and push all the worries aside. I pull the duvet up to my shoulders and think about today, it was lovely to get to know Sofia and Violetta, and it's nice to see my daughter finally make some friends regarding our situation when living with the mafia.
