"If you want crappy things to stop happening to you, stop accepting crap and demand more!"

Β  SIX MONTHS AGO
Β  JANUARY 12th, 2007

ERIS TIGHTENED HER GRIP ON HER SPEAR.

The eagle stared at her with red hungry eyes eager for more blood.

She briefly thought about trying to run before she remembered it was impossible with her broken leg and she wouldn't be able to hobble away fast enough.

Sweat poured down her forehead as she sniffed.

Eris knew that eventually a monster would catch her. She wasn't stupid but dammit, she thought she would have more time.

But as she stood there, dirty, tired, hungry and thirst all she felt was like the was going to die.

She didn't know how she was going to get out of this one.

Her eyes widened as the eagle dove down again. She instantly grabbed her spear and pointed it in its direction but she forgot it was the only thing keeping her standing so she ended up falling into the dirt with wide fearful eyes.

The eagle screeched as it dove towards her and Eris held back a scream.

But instead of trying to peck off her face it turned it's attention to her bloody broken
leg.

As much as she tried Eris couldn't hold back a scream of pain as the bird pecked at her leg like it was it's next lunch.

Β Β  It felt like it was peeling her skin off with a razor sharp knife over and over again as someone drove a hacksaw over her leg over and over again.

Β Β  It felt like someone was trying to amputate her leg without any pain suppressants.

Β  Β  "N-No!" Eris grunted hot painful tears pouring down her face as she tried to shove the bird off her leg. She sniffed, "Get off!" She yelled trying to peel it off.

Β Β  The eagle continued to peck at her leg like it was dessert causing small patches of her brown skin to peel of causing even more bleeding to her already damaged leg.

Β Β  It hurt like hell.

Β Β  "I said get off!" She screamed gripping her her spear and with all the strength in her tiny body she swung it like a baseball bat.

Β Β  The eagle went soaring in the air like a baseball before it regained its balance in the air and stared down at her with a vicious look in its eyes.

Β Β  She panted, even if swinging the spear seemed like a simple task because of her lack of food it took all of her energy for that one swing.

Β  Β  Eris scrambled on the backward fearfully as the eagle dove towards her again this time instead of just eating her leg it aimed to kill.

Β  Β  She knew she couldn't win this fight. Her leg was broken and bleeding nonstop and she was so tired she could pass out. She wasn't like Percy Jackson who could always get out of messy situations.

Β Β  She wasn't strong enough for this, she couldn't fight even if she wanted too.

Β Β  Eris was staring in the eyes of death.

Β  Β Β  "S-Stop just leave me alone! I-I'm just trying to go home!"

Β  Β  The bird ignored her pleading and continued its swan dove towards her.

Β Β  She felt faint as if she was about to pass out any minute as her life flashed before her eyes.

Β  Β  " I said leave me alone!" Eris screeched never feeling more desperate in her life.

Β  Β  Then it all happened in slow motion.

Eris' eyes glowed a bright green as the bird flew in her direction with its razor sharp beak whenβ€”

An silver arrow came soaring through the air and implanted its self into the Caucasian eagles spine. The eagles eyes went wide and croaked as it exploded in cloud of gold only inches away from Eris' face.

Eris sniffed and started to wipe her tears, "W-what?" She muttered.

"Well, that was annoying," a deep voice came from above. "That eagles squawking was starting to piss me off."

She looked up and her eyes went wide.

Flying in the air with a pair of actual wings was a man surrounded in a green halo. The man was handsome and pale with narrowed dark eyes and sharp facial features. His hair was cut short and as dark as black coffee. He was dressed in a Greek toga with golden sandals and looked young maybe 20-years-old.

His wings sprouting from his back were gold and looked to be made of actual gold feathers and in his hand was a golden bow.

Eris' mouth fell open as the man lowered himself to the ground seemingly unbothered.

The man cleared his throat, "That was interesting," he muttered cracking his neck as he stretched before turning his attention to Eris.

Eris trembled as she held her spear out towards him threateningly, "W-Who are you?" She stuttered.

The man cocked his head, "Kid, you seriously don't know me?" He asked, raising a brow, "You were the one who summoned me."

Eris frowned, "Summoned? W-What? How am I supposed to know you?"

The man sighed, "You may have heard of me in school. I'm a pretty famous legend in the mortal world well...me and my father are famous," he rolled his eyes, "I'm honestly surprised you don't recognize me from history class or something, don't the wings mean anything to you?," he gestured to his wings.

Eris shook her head, "N-No, I don't. Thank you for saving me, Mister. But, j-just leave me alone please."

"You may know me from a pretty famous legend," he continued walking towards her and Eris continued to try to back away, "You know I'm the boy who flew to high to the sun? Me and my old man got trapped then tried to escape using a fancy pair of wings. I flew too high to the sun then fell to my death. You get what I'm saying right?"

The boy who flew too close to the sun. Everything clicked.

But how, this couldn't be possible. How was there a dead man standing in front of her? It didn't make any sense! Eris thought she was going insane.

She shakily raised her hand, "Y-You'reβ€”"

"My name is Icarus," the man said seemingly amused by her reaction, "son of Daedalus andβ€”"

"Grandson of Athena," Eris finished shakily, "B-But you're supposed to be dead! H-How are you here?"

"You were the one who summoned me. I'm here because of you but I will say," Icarus walked in front of her and squatted so they were at eye level, "It is an honor to finally met you, Eris Lewis. We've been waiting to meet you for a very long time. Now, let's do something about that broken leg, shall we?"

PRESENT

ERIS ENDED UP KEEPING WATCH WHILE PERCY SAILED THE SHIP.

Originally it was Annabeth's job to be look out but sailing didn't agree with her and she looked like she had to puke only after a couple hours so after a lot of convincing from Eris Annabeth went below to lay down.

Β Β  Eris had spotted a couple monsters in the sea she couldn't make out what kind they were but each time she saw one she couldn't help but shiver.

Eris tiredly leaned against a beam with her sketchbook in her lap.

Β  "Hey," Percy said hesitantly, sitting in front of her chris-cross applesauce style. "What are you drawing?"

She eyed him warily. They hadn't spoken since Eris blew up on him and Annabeth on the boat hours ago. Eris, for once didn't regret snapping at him and Annabeth. She meant every word she said.

Eris turned her sketchbook around and Percy's eyes softened when he found a sketch of Tyson on the page.

"Can I?" Percy asked uneasily and Eris handed him her sketchbook, "This..this is really good," he told her honestly, "Tyson would love this."

Eris looked away, "Thanks," she muttered, crossing her arms. "I-It's for you actually," she said shyly, "I know you probably don't have any photos of Tyson so I thought you'd probably want at least one."

Β Β  Percy's eyes widened slightly. Even when Eris was upset at him she still went out of her way to do something nice for him.

She's too nice.

She would've made a much better older sibling to Tyson than Percy had.

Guilt fell heavy on his chest.

Β  Β  "Uh, thank you," he muttered, his face felt a bit hot. "Look...Eris....I'm sorry. You were right. This entire time, you kept telling me how I needed appreciate Tyson. I was being an ass to him and if he was was here I'd tell him that. You had no one your entire life and I had Tyson and I wasn't a good brother to Tyson. I'm sorry, Eris."

Eris bit her lip, "I...It's not okay what you did but...thank you for at least apologizing. I...I appreciate it."

Percy nodded and with a silent question and Eris' approval he flipped through her sketchbook.

Eris' sketchbook was pretty random. It was filled with mainly sketches of people. There were sketch's up Annabeth, a lot of Willow and even some of Cerberus. There was a sketch of Grover in a very well drawn wedding dress and a ship exploding.Β  There was even a messy sketch of Hades that had the words 'DEADBEAT' scribbled over his face.

Percy's chest felt funny when he even found a couple sketches of himself in there.

Β  Β  He finally turned to another sketch that made him tilt his head.

It was a sketch of young looking boy. He had tan skin and shaggy hair that looked like he had just rolled out of bed. He was tiny and frail looking and dressed in an aviator jacket. He was smiling brightly revealing a missing tooth.

The girl next to him in the sketch could only be his older sister. She had long silky dark hair and tan skin. She had light freckles dusting her cheeks and wore a floppy had that hung slightly in front of her face. In the drawing she seemed to have an arm wrapped around the boy's shoulder and was smiling slightly while holding up a peace sign.

Percy couldn't help but notice that both of them kind of looked like Eris. They didn't look identical by any means but still...their nose and the slight shape of their mouths looked so much alike.

"Who are they?" Percy couldn't help but ask.

Eris blinked as she glanced at the sketch, "Oh, I don't know. I kind of just draw whatever comes to mind, I probably just made them up in my head," she replied.

Β  Β  Sometimes Eris did draw with specific ideas in mind but there were times when an image would appear in her head that she couldn't help but draw. Sketches of things like the ship blowing up or the boy and girl were just images that appeared in her head that she couldn't help but draw.

Β Β  She frowned. They do kind of look familiar.

Β  Β  "I..." Eris started to say whenβ€”

Β  Β Β  "Hey!" She turned and found Willow wildly waving her arms in the corner of the ship, trying to get Eris' attention.

Β  Β Β  Eris' eyes widened, "Willow," she whispered, she turned to Percy, "I-I'm sorry, my sister, she's here. I-I need to go talk to her."

Β  Β  Percy looked around before he realized he would never be able to see Willow, "Oh, right," he said slowly, "it's fine. I'll keep watch for you."

ERIS COLLAPSED ONTO HER HAMMOCK WITH WILLOW NEXT TO HER.

"I missed you," Eris told her honestly, rolling over to look at her.

Willow's expression became pained, "I know, I'm sorry. I'll be around more, kid."

"It's fine," Eris told her weakly, "I know your busy with Aubree, I'm just happy that your happy.

Β  Β  "But still...I need to come by more."

Eris did feel a bit left out now that Willow wasn't around as often but she was happy that Willow was happy.

Willow glanced around, "Where's Tyson?" She asked. "I thought he came with you guys."

Eris' eyes filled with tears as she told Willow exactly what happened. She told her about Luke, monster donut and about meeting Clarisse and the confederate soldiers. Then she cried a bit when she told Willow about how Tyson 'died'.

Willow didn't say much when Eris mentioned that Tyson died probably because she didn't know Tyson as well as Eris did. But she did attempt to try to hold Eris' hand for a while but it didn't work since her hand just passed through Eris's.

"And then we got tricked by Circe and she turned Percy into a guniea pig," Eris sniffed, wiping her face, "So I had to summon a spirit to distract her while Annabeth freed Percy and now here we are."

"Which one?"

"Hippolyta."

Β  Β  Β  "I love her. She's such a badass and she's crazy hot," Willow smiled a bit, "I'm proud of you, you know?"

Β  Β  Eris' eyes widened, "You are?"

Β  Β Β  "You fought for your friends, you did good."

Β  Β  "I did good?"

Β  Β  Willow nodded, "You did good. But why did you guys go in there anyway?"

Β  Β  "I don't know," Eris muttered, "I told them not too they just don't listen to me."

Β  Β  Β  "...it's just..." she trailed off.

"It's just?" Eris tilted her head.

Β Β  "You're confidence that's probably why they don't listen," Willow said hesitantly, "You let people intimidate you, you let them scare you. You let people like Clarisse scare you when you could've easily taken her down with or without your powers."

Eris shook her head, "No, I couldn'tβ€”"

"Yes, you could," Willow insisted as she sighed, "Eris, you're thirteen and you've survived falling into Tartarusβ€”"

Eris flinched, "Willowβ€”"

"No, let me finish. You fell into Tartarus, Eris. You were all alone, no one there to help you. You fought your way out of there, Eris," Willow said her voice cracking a bit, "and when you finally came out...you didn't eat, you didn't sleep all you did was lay in bed and stare at the wall. You didn't talk to anyone. But you pushed through that. You fought. You have scars. So...yes, Eris, I think you can beat Clarisse."

"For some reason you just don't think that you can," Willow added, "I don't know why. Maybe it's my faultβ€”"

Eris hurriedly shook her head, "What? Willow, noβ€”"

Β Β  "I should've pushed you to be assertive, so it kind of is my fault. I was the one who was taking care of you," Willow told her looking down, "But why?"

Β Β  "W-Why what?"

Β  Β  "Why do you let people like Clarisse treat you so badly when you've literally been to hell and back?"

Β  Β  Eris froze.

Β Β  She always knew she had issues with her confidence. It wasn't anything new. She grew up scared of almost every little thing. She was always scared that she would be attacked or beat up every time she turned a corner. Called names and had her things stolen.

Β  When she was little Willow would be the one to protect her but now...Willow was dead. She couldn't protect Eris from the world anymore she could only give her advice.

Β Β  And Eris knew that in back of her head, her lack of confidence would be her down fall.

Β  "I-I," Eris choked out, "I...I really don't want to talk about it right now. Can we talk about something else?"

Β Β  "Butβ€”"

Β  Β  "Willow, please."

Β  Β Β  Willow eyed her, "Fine," she paused, "Cerberus misses you and Charon even if the bastard won't admit it. Even Hades talks about you."

Β  Eris rolled his eyes, "I don't care about him," she muttered.

Β Β  "He's worried about you, you know," Willow told her, "he asks about you every time I see him. I think...I think he misses having you around."

Β Β  You mean he misses forcing me to train and scolding me for every little mistake I make.

Β  Β  "If he really missed me he could come visit me," Eris said crossing her arms, "or I-message me or....or write me a letter or something."

Β Β  Willow looked at Eris with a small smirk, "He's been asking me a lot of questions specifically about your anxiety. He wants to help I think. He even got you a gift that's supposed to help with it."

Β Β  "A gift?"

Β  Β Β  Willow nodded, "Yeah, I can't tell you what it is because it's a surprise but you'll get it when you return to camp, Jules-Albert is supposed to drop it off...but...it's name is Salem."

Β Β  Eris frowned, "It's an 'it'? Like a living thing?"

Β Β  "Yeah...but don't worry I think you'll like it. He's pretty cute."

Β  Β  AFTER A LONG TALK WITH HER SISTER ERIS MADE HER WAY BACK ON DECK.

Β  Β  She stood in comfortable silence with Percy as they watched the sea and sometime later Annabeth came above deck just as they passed a smoking volcanic island.

Β  Β Β  "One of the forges of Hephaestus," Annabeth said. "Where he makes his metal monsters."

Β  Β  "Like the bronze bulls?" Percy asked.

Β  Β  She nodded. "Go around. Far around."

Β  Β  Percy steered them away from the island and soon it was just a red patch of haze behind them.

Β  Β  Eris bit her lip as she turned to Annabeth. "C-Can I ask you something? I understand if you don't want you answer..." she trailed off.

Β Β  "Yeah?"

Β  Β  "W-Why do you hate Tyson so much?" Eris couldn't help but ask, "Is it about Thalia?"

Β Β  Annabeth looked down, "Eris, you were Tyson's friend and Percy you were Tyson's brother so I guess you two deserve to know," she said, "The night Grover was escorting us to camp, he got confused, took some wrong turns. You remember he told us that once?"

Β Β  Percy and Eris exchanged a look before nodding.

Β  Β  "Well, the worst wrong turn was into a Cyclops's lair in Brooklyn."

Β  Β  "They've got Cyclopes in Brooklyn?" Percy asked.

Β  Β  "You wouldn't believe how many, but that's not the point. This Cyclops, he tricked us. He managed to split us up inside this maze of corridors in an old house in Flatbush. And he could sound like anyone. Just the way Tyson did aboard the Princess Andromeda. He lured us, one at time. Thalia thought she was running to save Luke. Luke thought he heard me scream for help. And me...I was alone in the dark. I was seven years old. I couldn't even find the exit."

Β  Β  She brushed the hair out of her face. "I remember finding the main room. There were bones all over the floor. And there were Thalia and Luke and Grover, tied up and gagged, hanging from the ceiling like smoked hams. The Cyclops was starting a fire in the middle of the floor. I drew my knife, but he heard me. He turned and smiled. He spoke, and somehow he knew my dad's voice. I guess he just plucked it out of my mind. He said, 'Now, Annabeth, don't you worry. I love you. You can stay here with me. You can stay forever.'"

Β Β  "What did you do?"

Β  Β  "I stabbed him in the foot."

Β Β  Eris wasn't surprised. Annabeth would do something like that.

Β  Β  Percy stared at her like she had grown a second head. "Are you kidding? You were seven years old and you stabbed a grown Cyclops in the foot?"

Β  Β  Β  "Oh, he would've killed me. But I surprised him. It gave me just enough time to run to Thalia and cut the ropes on her hands. She took it from there."

Β  Β Β  "Yeah, but still...that was pretty brave, Annabeth."

Β  Β  She shook her head. "We barely got out alive. I still have nightmares, Percy. The way that Cyclops talked in my father's voice. It was his fault we took so long getting to camp. All the monsters who'd been chasing us had time to catch up. That's really why Thalia died. If it hadn't been for that Cyclops, she'd still be alive today."

Β  Β  Annabeth's eyes filled with tears but Eris could tell she was trying to hold whatever tears she had in.

Β  Β  Eris turned to Percy, "You should get some sleep, I...I think Annabeth needs a minute."

Β Β  Percy hesitantly nodded before reluctantly leaving.

Β Β  Eris bit her lip as she looked at Annabeth's teary eyes. She opened her arms, "Do you want a hug?" She asked softly, "it's okay if you don't I just thought..."

Β Β  Annabeth latched onto Eris like an octopus and buried her head in her shoulder.

Β Β  Eris didn't know what to do or say. She wasn't used to comforting people most of the time she was the one crying.

Β Β  So she did the only thing she could think of.

Β Β  She hugged Annabeth tighter and rubbed her back comfortingly.

Β Β  "I-I'm not the best at comforting people," Eris told Annabeth, "But...I'm sure that whenever Thalia has found peace in the Underworld I'm sure she's proud of you."

Β Β  If possible it only made Annabeth cry more.

Β  Β  Eris instantly started to panic, "O-Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you cry Iβ€”"

Β Β  Annabeth pulled away from Eris shoulder and shook her head, "No, no, silly," she told Eris as she sniffed, "you didn't make me sad...I...you're too good for this world, Eris. Thank you."

Β Β  AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS ANNABETH WENT DOWN STAIRS TO BRING PERCY BACK UPSTAIRS.

"Land," Annabeth told them, "We're approaching the island of the Sirens."

Eris squinted as she looked ahead but could only see a dark cloud of mist.

Annabeth swallowed, "I want you two to do me a favor," Annabeth said. "The Sirens...we'll be in range of their singing soon."

"No problem," Percy assured her. "We can just stop up our ears. There's a big tub of candle wax below deckβ€”"

"I want to hear them."

Was she crazy?

Did Annabeth not know that the siren literally sung songs to lead people to their deaths. What sane person would actually want to hear them?

"W-What?" Eris asked looking at her with wide eyes, "Why?"

"They say the Sirens sing the truth about what you desire. They tell you things about yourself you didn't even realize. That's what's so enchanting. If you survive...you become wiser. I want to hear them. How often will I get that chance?"

Percy eyed her before sighing, "Fine."

"What?" Eris shook her head, "No, Annabeth, don't be crazy it's not worth itβ€”"

"Eris, I'll be fine. I...I need to do this," Annabeth said.

Eris bit her lip as Annabeth told them her plan.

They were too tie ropes around Annabeth waist to hold her back from swimming in the water.

"Don't untie me," Annabeth said, "no matter what happens or how much I plead. I'll want to go straight over the edge and drown myself."

That's even more of a reason to NOT do this, Eris thought.

Percy promised he'd watch her closely and handed Eris two large wads of candle wax for when they were close.

Eris held up the wads of candle wax, ready to put them in her ear when she heard itβ€”

Her body felt fuzzy like she had just drank 10 RedBulls as her mind felt soft like oatmeal.

She felt so...tired. Like she needed a nap.

Beautiful singing filled her ears like a lullaby.

Eris had been too late.

"Come to us, Essence," the voices sang beautifully, "we reunite you with your sister. Don't you want to see Willow again."

Against her will, Eris stood.

"Don't you want to see her again," the voice sang, "wrap your arms around her. Tell her that you love her."

"My sister," Eris muttered, "reunite. Love her."

"Die, Essence Lewis."

Percy watched as Eris' eyes clouded over with a hazy look in her eye as she started to walk towards the edge, "Eris, what are youβ€”"

"Must reunite with my sister again," Eris muttered, moving to the edge of the railing, "I must die."

Percy watched with wide eyes as Eris jumped over the railing. He scrambled after her, desperate to grab her hand but it was too late.

Eris Lewis was gone.

"ERIS!"

WHEN ERIS OPENED HER EYES SHE FOUND HERSELF OUTSIDE OF A HOUSE.

"What?" She muttered, looking around.

On the front door of the house there was a stick note that read 'Come in, Essence Lewis'.

Every bone in her body screamed at her to note open the door but it was like she was possessed as she opened the front door.

She walked in looking around uneasily, "Hello?" She called.

"In the kitchen dear!" A voice called back.

Eris' hand clutched her necklace as she warily walked into the kitchen where there was a womanβ€”actually, it wasn't a woman it was a girl.

She couldn't see the girl's face because her back was turned to Eris. She seemed to be taking fresh cookies out of the oven before sitting them on the counter.

"I've been waiting on you," the girl said as she waved a hand fan over the hot cookies, "Now, I can finally say what I need to say."

Eris took a step back, "Who are you?"

The girl paused and turned and Eris' mouth fell open.

Β  Β  It was like this woman was her twin but she was older. She looked maybe 16. Less baby fat on her face with longer dreadlocks flowing down her back, less acne and obviously a lot of work from puberty.

Β Β  She was taller too maybe 5'7 with a black leather jacket, a green crop top and black jeans. They even had the same boots on. The girl stretched her arms and her shirt lifted up to reveal a tattoo of names in order on her rib cage that read:

Β Β  Lena

Β Β  Katherine

Β Β  Willow

Β Β  Bianca

Β  Β  Nico

Β  Β  Hazel

Β  Β  All of the names were tattooed on her ribs in pretty fancy font.

"Isn't it obvious," the girl said smirking, "I'm you. Well, I'm a couple years older but I'm you."

But this girl didn't seem exactly like Eris. She had Eris' face, her body even her hair but something about her was off.

Unlike Eris this girl stood with her back straight and her head held high like a warrior. Like nothing could stop her and anyone that got in her way would end up dead.

This girl was everything Eris wasn't.

This girl was confident.

Β  Β  This girl was everything Eris wanted to be.

"You can call me 'Elizabeth' so we don't get confused," Elizabeth put a cookie on a plate and held it out to Eris. "Cookie?"

"N-No, thank you."

Β  Β  Elizabeth frowned, "Fine, but I made them special. Just for you," she said shrugging. She smiled and gestured to the kitchen table, "Sit, let's have a conversation."

Β Β  Against her will Eris was forced to sit across from Elizabeth at the table.

Β Β  Eris looked around, "What's going on? Why am I here?" She looked up, "and why do you look like me?"

Β  Β  Elizabeth took a bite out of a cookie, "I'm you, well a couple years in the future. I'm seventeen...I think. I don't actually know since well...I'm not real."

Β  Β  Eris blinked, "What?"

"All of this, is fake," Elizabeth gestures around, "it's just your imagination. It's because of the sirens, they have the ability to point out a hero's fatal flaw through visions like this. The purpose of me being here was to point out your fatal flaw."

Β  Β  "So you're not actually from the future?"

Β Β  Elizabeth shook her head, "No, I'm just who you want to be. I'm the person you inspire to be like, the person you want to grow up to be. The sirens show you your greatest desires and one of your desires and is to be confident like me. You want to beat your fatal flaw."

Eris frowned, "My fatal flaw?" She whispered.

Elizabeth nodded, "All heroes have them. Most children of Athena's fatal flaws are pride, for children of Hades it's grudges but for you however that's not the case," she replied, "for you it's low-self esteem. You think of yourself as worthless and causes you to hold back. Because you're so insecure you hesitate with every little thing you do. And eventually it's going to get you and your friends killed."

How could Elizabeth be so causal about this? Like she hadn't just told Eris her friends were going to die because of her.

Eris was surprised she was holding it together. Normally she'd probably be in tears but she thought maybe the sirens had a calming effect.

Eris rubbed a hand over her face, "O-Okay," she swallowed, "So...so how am I supposed to fix that?"

"Oh, I don't know, that's something you have to figure out yourself," Elizabeth shrugged, "But I'll tell you what usually happens. Most people just get fed up."

"F-Fed up?"

"They get tired of people pushing them around, of people not listening to them but then eventually they just...snap kind of like you did when you yelled at your little friends," she said, "that is what hopefully happens to you. I can't tell you how to stop being insecure, that's a mental problem but I will say this."

Elizabeth eyes narrowed as she leaned toward till she was only centimeter's away from Eris' face.

Β Β  Eris swallowed it was weird being intimidated by someone who looked exactly like you. Was she really this scary when she was angry?

Β  Β  "If you want people to stop treating you like shit," Elizabeth said firmly, "then stop accepting crap and demand more. Eventually, you'll learn." She paused. Elizabeth's eyes softened, "You are destined for greatness, Essence Lewis. And you are going to do great things because you are so much more powerful than you know," she said softly. "And once you learn that, you'll be unstoppable."

Β Β  Eris didn't know if Elizabeth actually meant her words or if it was just the sirens talking to her.

Β Β  But powerful? Eris didn't think of herself as powerful. She knew her powers could be powerful like Hades had always told her but because of her weak body she was useless.

Β  Β Β  Elizabeth paused, "it looks like your friend is here to save you. Guess our time is up."

Β Β  "Huh?"

Β Β  Elizabeth smiled, "I'll see you later, Eris Lewis," with that she flicked Eris' forehead with her middle finger and thumb. "Don't worry this'll only hurt for a sec."

Β Β  And Eris wrapped her hands around her neck as she choked on her spit. It felt like she was suffocating.

Β Β  "Bye, bye, Little Me."

Β  Β  "WHY ISN'T SHE WAKING UP?" Annabeth asked Percy fearfully.

Eris laid unconscious in front of them on the ship after Percy rescued her and Annabeth.

Β  Β  "I don't know," Percy replied frantically, "Do you...do you think she may be..."

Β Β  "No," Annabeth shook her head, "she can't be. Eris can't be dead!"

Β Β  "Annabethβ€”"

Β Β  "No!"

Β  Β Β  Suddenly Eris eyes shot open and she gasped as she sat up. She started coughing before rolling onto her hands and knees and throwing up sea water.

Β  Β  Annabeth rushed to pat her back comfortingly as Percy helped wrap her in a blanket.

Β Β  Eris panted, "W-What happened?" She asked, wiping her mouth. She coughed wetly.

"You tried to drown yourself," Percy said quickly, "The sirens they got you and Annabeth but it's okay now we saved you."

Β Β  Eris coughed again, "T-Thanks."

Β  Β Β  Suddenly Annabeth's eyes widened. "Uh, guys."

Β  Β  They turned around only to find that ahead was another blotch of landβ€”a saddle-shaped island with forested hills and white beaches and green meadows.

Β  Β  Eris gulped.

Β Β  They had reached the home of the cyclops.

Β Β  Thank you for reading! Please comment it helps me update more often.

Β Β  Honestly I don't really like this chapter if you guys don't like it let me know and I'll rewrite it.

Β Β  Sorry it took me so long to update I had writers block but I'm back!

Β Β  Any feedback? Is there something you liked or didn't like?

Β Β  Also just in case people were confused I wanted to explain Eris' vision:Β  Elizabeth is a version of Eris that Eris inspires to be like. Elizabeth is confident which is Eris wants to be like so that's why they look exactly alike. Elizabeth is just a older different version version of Eris who came to tell Eris about her fatal flaw which is low self-esteem and how to fix it.

Also, Eris did draw Nico and Bianca but because it's been a year since she's seen them and all the trauma she faced from Tartarus she doesn't remember them but she does think they are familiar.

Someone pointed out that Eris and Nico are similar because both fell into Tartarus, lost their sisters and are children of Hades and I promise I did not mean for that to happen it was just a funny coincidence.
