I was talking with Moloy chachu when someone called me from back. I turned to see papa standing there with tears in his eyes. I couldn't hold myself anymore. I just ran and hugged him.

"Are you still so angry on me that you returned after so long and didn't even meet me?"  Papa asked wiping his tears.

"Na, papa. It's not like that. Cabir said you are not home so I couldn't find you that time. But you are looking so handsome." Manik told winking at him.

"You are also looking handsome, my son."

"Thank you, dad"

"Ok, now you can go and enjoy with others."

I nodded smiling. I went and stood with my other cousins.

As it was the time so all the guests had already arrived. I went to Mukti's room and knocked.

"Come."

"Wow. You are looking so beautiful, I didn't think you can look this way too. I bet Zubin won't be able to take his eyes off you, he will keep staring you all the time."

Mukti laughed hearing me. "Thank you. You are also looking very handsome and all the young girls in the party and I doubt aunties too gonna have a hard time seeing you." She winked.

"I know." We both shared a laughter. "Where is Alya? I can't see her."

"I'm here." She came from back.

I was talking to them when Cabir came there and asked them to come down as it was time for engagement.

Mukti was sitting beside Zubin on the stage which was specially decorated for the star couple.

I was walking looking at them. They were looking just perfect with each other. I didn't notice around when I bumped with someone.

I didn't fell as I had balanced myself but the girl with whom I bumped fell down. She was rubbing her arms may be she got hurt there. Her long hairs were blocking the view of her face. I was not able to see her face but for some unknown reason I had an urge to see her face.

"Sorry, I didn't notice you. Are you okay? Is it paining a lot?"

The girl didn't reply. But she moved her hairs and glare at me.

I was stunned at my place seeing her face.

How can someone be so beautiful!!!

Who said angles can only be in heaven? Who said angles are not here in earth? Then how come the girl I am seeing now is here? Because she is just an angle.

I noticed she was also looking at me with a surprising expression.

Manik looked at her dreamily. "What a beautiful eyes!!!"

She told something under her breath which I couldn't understand. May be she cursed me.

I forwarded my hand to help her to get up. But she ignored me royally and herself got up. She straightened her dress and hair. Then just ran away.

"Hey listen... Hello... Excuse me..."

But she didn't wait a second and left. I kept looking at her black color stole which was hanging around her neck and flying when she was running.

I also didn't wait there anymore and walked towards the side where Cabir and others were standing. I was talking to them when I noticed the same girl talking with Alya and some other girls.

I didn't notice when Cabir and others went towards the stage to click picture and I was still standing there looking at that girl. Alya came and stood in front of me.

Alya called me that's when I came out of her zone. "Manik, what are you doing there alone? Is everything okay?"

"Nothing. I'm okay. I was just going to my room, I remembered of something."

"Oh okay." Alya was leaving but I called her back.

I pointed at the girl with whom I had collided. "Umm... Alya, who is that girl. The girl in black stole?"

Alya shouted thankfully no one heard her but it made me startled. "What!!!"

I looked at her in confusion. "What, what???"

"Are you serious, Manik? You recognized all of us but you didn't realize who she is?"

I became confused seeing Alya reacting that way. Who can this girl be? I was rubbing the back of my neck when Alya spoke again.

"That's Nandini."

(Nandini's attire)

This time I became more shocked. "Nandini? Seriously?"

"What is this, Manik? When you were kids, you both used to be with each other all the time. No one could take you away from each other. Now you couldn't even recognize her. How can you forget her so easily?" 

I was literally shocked seeing Nandini.

"How did Nandini changed so much? When we were kids, she used to be so..."

"Manik... She can't be the same all her life, right?"

Before I could say anything more Cabir came there.

"Manik, what are you doing here? I have been looking for you from so long. Come let's have a sip."

Manik jerked his hand away. "Chiii. Have you gone insane? There is a wedding in our home. We can't do this at this time."

"Shut up. Nothing will happen. You just come. It will be fun."

Then he didn't give me a chance to say anything more and dragged me with him. Till then the function was also ended.

I didn't know when I reached my room. My head was spinning. I was not able to stand properly. I payed down still everything was seem to be blurry. It was long since I became this drunk.

I came home today only and became drunk. Thank God mom didn't find out. This Cabir is also impossible. He didn't hear anything.

I didn't even realize when thinking about all this I fell asleep.

Next morning as the sun rays hit me, my slumber broke. I tried to wake up but my head was still spinning. With a great difficulty I got up and went to freshen up.

I got ready and opened the door to go out.

As I opened the door, I felt someone moved away from there hearing the sound. I looked around to see, if someone was really there.

(Nandini's attire)

There I saw a girl standing. I couldn't see her face but I could easily see the black dupatta which was hanging around her neck. She was trying to look at this side but seeing me she again his herself behind the wall. I went towards her and stood in front of the girl only find it to be Nandini.

"Nandini, didn't you recognize me?"

She got nervous which was clearly visible on her face. "Me?"

"I'm Manik who used to call teddy bear before. Now can you remember?"

Nandini again glared at me but didn't say anything.

I looked at her from head to toe. "That time you used to be teddy bear no doubt but now you have become barbie doll. Wow...." 

Nandini was leaving without replying anything but I held her hand to stop from going.

"What happened? Where are you going?"

But she didn't say anything just looked at me.

"What happened, Nandini? Won't you even say hello to me?"

"No." Her voice was sounding stern all of a sudden.

She surely surprised me. "But why?"

Nandini didn't reply anything. She just freed her hand from my grip and ran towards Alya's room.

I don't know why she was behaving like this to me. She is behaving normal with everyone except me.

By any chance is she still angry with me?

So, finally Nandini is here. But she is ignoring our hero. What do you think Manik will do now?
