Manik and Cabir brought Nandini back home. Everyone were numb seeing Nandini's condition. Ankita was crying looking at her daughter's condition.

Bhavna was damn worried seeing Nandini. "Manik, did you call doctor?" 

Manik was just fuming in anger. He was not in condition to reply anyone. He didn't even hear what others were saying.

Aryaman came in between. "Chachi, I have called the doctor. He will be here in a few minutes. Don't worry. Please calm down."

Bhavna nodded and went to Ankita. She was vulnerable. She couldn't imagine anything happen to her daughter too. Everyone was holding there tears back. Nandini is like everyone's baby. It's so difficult to see her in that state.

Seeing everyone crying, Manik shouted, "What's wrong with you all? Why are you all crying like this? She is not dead. She is perfectly okay. She just got a little scared. That will also be okay in some time. Stop behaving as if she has died."

Everyone looked at Manik. He controlled his anger and went to Ankita. He sat in front on her on the floor and held her hand in between his, "Aunty, please stop crying. Why are you crying? They couldn't do anything to our Nandini nor anyone will ever be able do anything to her (he said gritting his teeth). She is fine. Please you stop crying. She will be all okay in sometime."

Ankita cried hugging Manik. Manik could understand her condition. He also had tears in his eyes but he controlled them.

"Manik, why those boys were taking Nandini with them? Doesn't they know who is Nandini? How dare they even think of lay their finger on Nandini."

Manik was quiet. He didn't utter a word. So, on behalf oh him Cabir told, "Chachu, those boys were disturbing Nandini from a long time. They are road side bustards." 

"What do you mean by they were disturbing her from a long time? Why didn't you say this earlier? Nandini also didn't say anything to us. We could have talked to police and take some action against them."

"Chachu, today me and Manik had also beaten them. We thought now they won't..."

Shreekant cut him in between. "What do you mean by beat them? You guys had a fight?"

Nyonika jumped in between. "Please all of you stop now. Are you all forgetting that Nandini is here too? Shreekant, you go and talk to police. Don't make much noise here."

Shreekant looked at Nyonika angrily. "You know why did all this happen? Just because of your son. What was the need of fighting with all those boys? Police are there to look after these things. But no he has to ruin everything. I don't understand when will he start behaving sane."

Manik looked at his father with anger in his eyes. His eyes were spitting fire. Nyonika knew if she won't do anything now, then Manik will again leave India for his father. She can't let that happen.

"Manik, come and take Nandini to room."

"Because of you Manik has gone out of our hand and became this reckless. Please you tell me what was the need of beating those boys? And what does he think? He had saved Nandini once from then so they won't try to harm her again?" Shreekant added angrily.

Manik couldn't control himself anymore. He angrily came in front of Shreekant, "What were you saying? You could have called police and taken action? Then tell me for how many days you would have sent them to jail? 1 week? 2 week? Maximum for a month. Then? They would have eventually come out of jail. So, I beat them and took out my anger. That's enough.

When it comes to Nandini, I am enough for her. She doesn't need anyone else. These boys are nothing. I know how to deal with them. I will take care of it and I will simply kill everyone who will even try to even lay a finger on her."

His voice was loud and clear. It was clear from his tone that how much Nandini means to him and he can actually do this.

Others were looking at him with wide eyes. They were shocked seeing his rage in his eyes. They knew from childhood Manik had this anger issue. But this time it was different. This time they can sense the love for someone, they can feel the fear of loosing someone in his anger. They can see it in his eyes.

Then Manik didn't wait there anymore. He took Nandini in his arms and walked to his room.

After sometime doctor came and checked her. He said there was noticing to worry. Due to shock she fainted. She would be awake in some hour. He gave some medicine and asked her to take rest.

Manik came back to his room after leaving the doctor till gate.

"I will take Nandini home as soon as she gains consciousness. I don't want to trouble you all anymore. You all have already done so much for us." Ankita said still sobbing.

"What are you saying, Ankita? Nandini is just like Alya and Mukti to us. She is equally important to us." Mohini tried to console her.

Bh: And what trouble you were talking about? Doing something for daughter doesn't trouble anyone. It's love." Bhavna too added with her.

"Aunty, please you don't take tension. No one will ever think of even touching Nandini after today." Alya went near her and held her hand.

Cabir also went near her. "Yes, she is like our sister only. Right?"

Manik looked at Cabir.

Cabir bit his tongue getting what he just meant. "I meant she is everyone's sister except you."

"It's okay. Now you all go and freshen up. We are here with Nandini only." Nyonika patted Alya's back.

After one hour more Nandini woke up. Manik also got to know that she is up now.  But he didn't go to see her. Actually he was not able to gather enough courage to face her. He was blaming himself that he couldn't protect her. He was around her still all this happened.

At night
After dinner everyone went back to their room. Nandini was as always in Alya's room. Manik went to her room and was standing outside. Alya noticed her.

"Manik, why are you standing outside? Come in."

Manik walked in and signaled her to talk slowly as Nandini was sleeping.

Manik came and sat beside Nandini. Alya left from there to give them some alone time. She knew they needed it.

Manik removed her hairs from her forehead. He caressed her hairs slowly. Then he came a little close to her and placed
a small peck on her forehead. Manik kept staring at her sleeping serene face for a long time.

Then he messaged Alya to come back and went back to his room.

Next morning
Manik came down after getting ready. He saw Mohini was feeding Nandini. Nandini looked at Manik for a second. When her eyes meet with Manik's, she turned her gaze. Manik also didn't say anything. He left after breakfast. He came back at late in evening.

Whole day Manik didn't meet Nandini nor did he call her once. He was not feeling well. He didn't even realize when it came to night. He was not feeling sleepy. He went to the balcony but nothing was giving him peace.

Other side Nandini was sitting alone at the hall from where she could see the sky. A dim light was on. She was looking at no where particular. She was drowned in deep thoughts.

Manik was coming down when he saw Nandini. He started at her for a while. He was seeing her after a whole day. He quietly moved towards her and sat beside her.

"You remember when we were kids, we used to sit here and count stars. As much as stars we will count, they will be ours." Manik told looking at the sky.

Nandini looked at Manik for once, then again turned towards the sky.

Manik moved Nandini's hand from her lap and laid down there keeping his head on her lap. He kept her hand on his hairs. Nandini didn't say anything. She started ruffling them slowly. Manik was looking at Nandini's face. She was looking so beautiful at that low light also.

After sometime Manik got up. He didn't say anything, he picked up Nandini in his arms. Nandini was shocked but didn't say anything. She wrapped her hands around his neck. He took her to his room and made her lie down on his bed.

Manik slowly kissed Nandini on her forehead. Then on both of her eyes. A silent drop of tear fell down from her eye. Manik was about to get up after wiping her tear but Nandini didn't let him.

Manik looked into her eyes. Nandini closed her eyes. Manik kept staring at her for sometime.

Manik looked into her eyes lovingly. "Are you sure, Nandini?"

Nandini smiled softly. "More than sure."

Then there was no need of any word more between them. That night they came close to each other. So close that they lost into each other. That night they became one. Their love was now finally completed.
