ELI was having a hard time understanding how Cameron was on okay terms with Robby, especially after what happened during their junior year. He wouldn't call it a betrayal, he was just fucking mad. And he wasn't shy about hiding it either.
"How do you know Robby wasn't the one in on the whole pill-popping bullshit at All-Valley huh? Maybe he's just playing you because he and Miguel are gonna have a sibling," he expressed, rapidly typing away at his laptop from where he sat in his living room.
He could hardly look at her without irritation flashing across his face.
Cameron stiffly answered, rocking on her heels, "I asked about that."
He scoffed, "And?"
"Eli," she warned, coming to stand closer, making him snap his annoyed gaze to meet hers. "He said he had nothing to do what that. And I guess I believe him, on that."
He huffed and tried controlling his anger in this situation. Cameron was one of his best friends and that would never change. Rage twins. That name may have haunted them, but at this point, they didn't care. It was a reminder that they were there for each other when they had no one else.
"Cameron, all I'm saying is be cautious. I don't trust that guy," he admitted.
"I never said I trusted him. We just reached an agreement. That's all." She explained, "you know how much I love you. I forgive him for some things, not all. He did the same, I think. But I haven't forgotten. Alright?" His silence made her repeat, "Alright?"
He tossed his hands up, "Alright."
She nodded, knowing that was the best she could do. She didn't expect him to be okay with it, hell she wouldn't be. So when she reached out her fist, he stared at it briefly before bumping it with his.

"HAVE you heard? Silver is not only opening new dojos, he's taking over other dojos now too," Miguel informed his girlfriend, who stopped her workout. He got up from the park bench and showed her the Instagram story. "Isn't that Devon's new Dojo?"
Cameron stared in disbelief and took his phone to ensure she wasn't seeing things. But it was true. "Is this live?" She asked, watching the feed.
"Yeah, it's happening right now," he replied, scratching his forehead.
"Can this even happen?" the question was rhetorical. She knew Silver had the funds to do whatever he liked. "I can't believe I'm saying it, but he's worse than Kreese."
"Way worse. It's like he's planning world domination," Miguel stressed, then caught her pensiveness. "Hey, it's gonna be alright."
"How do you know that Miguel? Devon was training with Topanga Karate. We introduced her to this sport and now she'll be brainwashed too. She's like what, 14, right? We were older than that when we were at Cobra Kai and look what happened to us." she shook her head, annoyed by the possibilities. "And that Kenny kid. I remember the look in his eyes at the water park. He's taking whatever this guy says to heart. Even though it was a simple race, he cheated. And the old me would've respected that. Even called it –"
"-- creative winning?"
She nodded with a sigh, "Yeah. Creative winning. Playing dirty is the Cobra Kai way. Nothing is about fighting fair. Nothing. Maybe that's why I lost. I don't know."
Miguel took this phone back and switched it off, needing to know she had his attention.
He took her hands in his as he pondered his words. Although she rarely expressed it, he could tell how much All-Valley changed her. It hurt him to see her so confused and drained. Sure she kept pushing, kept training. But nothing would change unless she knew the truth.
"You weren't just fighting for yourself that day. You were fighting for your dad, for everything that happened to you." Miguel started softly. "You had so much to deal with, fighting your past, fighting Sam, then Tory. It's a lot – and yes she came out on top," he quickly added, knowing she would cut in. "But that doesn't mean anything now. Other than you need to prove to yourself how much you can be better. You proved to everyone else how much you changed, and now you have a whole new fighting style. You're the new and improved Cameron James. So trust me when I say that the next trophy will be yours because in your heart you know what you're fighting for." His hands gently dropped hers and travelled to her face. "You're gonna be fighting for yourself."
The passion he spoke with moved her, it put a smile on her face. And although it didn't reach her eyes. Only slightly did that blanket of disappointment that resided within her shift.
"Okay," Cameron agreed, exhaling.
"Okay?" Miguel questioned, narrowing his eyes as he stepped back, letting his hands fall to his side.
"Okay," she said more definitively this time.
He acted as though he couldn't hear her, "Okay?!"
"Okay!" she yelled, nearly laughing as he grinned. "Damn, didn't realise how bossy you could be."
"Learning from the best," he nodded to her, making her snicker. "Now, show me the new move you're working on. What's it called?"
"540 tornado Kick. It's more advanced 360 but –"
"You need the hip movement and speed. You wanna distract the opponent more than you already do?" Cameron's eyes rolled at his flirting. "You're very distracting."
"Miguel," She playfully warned. "I have to jump, kick and land all on the same leg. The guard stance, spin kick and crescent kick all in one – can you not check me out for one second?" she demanded. He smiled cheekily, coming closer and settled his hands on her waist. "What are you doing?"
"It's called helping Roni," his eyes lit up as an idea came to mind. "I think I know too. You know how you blew off one of our dates?"
"How many times must I apologise for that? I've made it up to you," Cameron glanced around, not wanting anyone to hear. When she locked eyes with him again, she grew flustered at the heated stare. "You were happy with that right?"
"Satisfied," he muttered, gaze dropping to where he held her and tugged her closer, "but I honestly think the salsa might help."
"You just want to dance with me."
"Yes, but it's all about the hip movements," he squeezed her waist. She squealed and grabbed his forearms. "You have rhythm. So do I, at times. If it turns into a date then oh well. Besides, I'm a great teacher."
"You are," she had to admit, even though she felt like she was on fire. "Fine, if you think it will help, you should come over later."
"Oh yeah?" Miguel cocked his head to the side, teasing, "And what about your mom?"
"She'll be at a meeting and then stays to help clean up. Anala will be there."
That caught him off guard, "Anala why?"
"She knows Evan, you know –"
"The white version of your dad. Got it. But how the hell does she know him?"
"She's like Drew but more mellow -- if that's possible. She bakes cakes for some of the meetings. Anyways, My mom leaves at 8 and won't be back until 11 maybe even 12," she licked her lips, drawing his attention there.
"So that leaves us a 4-hour window." Miguel his tone turned more salacious with him leaning closer. "And they don't call me the Vamp Champ for no reason." her giggling was silenced by a kiss that grew more passionate by the second.

SHORTLY after Cameron and Miguel finished training in the park they were called to Miyagi Dojo. Daniel and Johnny's students showed up apart from those who had left. Anthony LaRusso was a new student. It seemed that Cobra Kai's growth wouldn't prevent their comeback. They weren't going to back down or cower away.
Avoiding fights might've been Mr Miyagi's way, but he fought when he had to.
All students understand that and Johnny and Chozen Togushi as well. They all stood on the grass watching as Sam drew open the door revealing to her dad that they were with him. They were in this fight together and weren't giving up.
Amanda, Robby and Sam exited with him as he stared in amazement.
"You're not alone anymore," Sam word's comforted him as did those who showed that they were on his side. She and Robby joined the students. "So what do you say, Dad? Will you fight?"
Amanda's gentle touch pushed Daniel, morphing his uncertainty to purposeful.
He stepped down, standing between Johnny and Chosen. The three of them stood tall as their students bowed. The Senseis then shared a nod between them and bowed back.

WHEN 8'clock rolled around, Alexis bid her daughter goodbye. As soon as the front door slammed shut, Cameron saw Miguel climbing through her window, sporting a boyish smile as he saw her cute blue-coloured loungewear. Her glasses were on her bedside table, near her lamp that spread its soft orange hue through the bedroom.
He met her where Cameron sat slightly nervously on her bed. He gently pushed a tight curl from her face, eyes lighting up when it perfectly slotted back, framing her glowing face.
"Hi," he whispered, over the soft music playing.
"Hi," she whispered back.
Then their lips met and not much was said other than murmurs of confirmation and soft words of adoration. Their bodies moved in a rhythmic dance as clothing fell into a pile on the soft carpet below.
It was special and new and strange and unfamiliar.
But also awkward and magical.
Just like them.
