"I am not getting my hair wet," Cameron announced, pushing up her prescription sunglasses.

Anala agreed, "Neither am I."

Everyone decided it would be a great day to go to the waterpark; after all, it was summer. The only problem was that Cobra Kai's would also be there. However, it was agreed that the park would be split into rides, shops, and pathways. What's the worst that could happen?

Cameron chose a nice blue swimsuit and shorts that matched her nail polish, while Anala chose black. Their hair was tied up, and Cameron's was packed with more gel and gold accessories to match her gifted necklace.

They found Lily on a sunbed with few vacant seats between her and Yasmine. Sam and Moon were on the other side; the former was reading.

"Hey guys," Cameron greeted, receiving a wave or two. "Sam, your brother was perving on us earlier," she added.

"Ew. Gross, he did that with Yas, Moon and Lily," Sam pulled a face.

Cameron lay down on the chair closest to Yasmine. Two more empty chairs were between her and Lily, reserved for their boyfriends.

Anala approached Sam with her towel, "What are you reading?"

"Oh um... the book I saw on your Goodreads," Sam bashfully showed off, causing the other girls to crane their necks to the side to see the interaction.

Anala's face lit up, "Babel? I loved it. Heavy read though."

"It is but I'm trying to learn more about the world and what it was and how it is," Sam looked up from the book to see Anala's wide-eyed stare.

"So history doesn't repeat itself," the eccentric girl concluded.

Cameron spoke, "It has many times. But at least you're no longer comfortable in your ignorance."

Sam narrowed her eyes, "Thanks... I guess."

That earned a sarcastic thumps up, whilst Lily snickered to herself.

"Where are you at right now?" Anala implored, ignoring her friends.

The two were too engrossed in their conversation to notice Miguel and Eli strolling over. Eli proudly showed off his new flower tattoo which concealed the grim reaper he once rocked. Miguel seemed more comfortable wearing his short-sleeved shirt.

"Hey, babe. What's up?" Eli greeted his girlfriend with a kiss as she sat up.

Lily smiled, "Hi."

Eli extended his fist out to Cameron, who reciprocated with a small smile.

"It's so hot," Cameron complained. Miguel kissed her forehead.

He then asked, "Want to get something to eat?"

"I thought you'd never ask." Sitting her glasses on her forehead, she took his outstretched hand, pulling her off the chair.

They all heard Sam groan, "Ugh."

Moon asked, "What's wrong?"

"Your cousin," Sam nodded to Cameron, missing Anala's faltering smile.

"Nope, Nu-Uh. Another benefit of him not living with me anymore is that I don't have to hear about his messes." Cameron rolled her eyes. Sam huffed for a moment, reading over the dry conversation she and Drew had.

"Boys are complicated," she grumbled out.

"Then stop dating them," Was the last thing Cameron said before Miguel took her away.

"I agree," Lily joked, earning a playful eye roll from Eli before he pushed up his shades.

"I was just about to get you some ice cream," he teased.

"I have an idea," Yasmine got their attention. "No more flirting whilst my boyfriend is away."

"No," the couple answered. Eli added, "It's not our fault Demetri is working."

"Whatever," Yasmine groaned, "I need to get a tan," she put her sunglasses down and rested her head.

Moon asked, "But speaking of food, Sam didn't you say you were hungry?"

"What...no," Sam said, confused.

"I could eat," Anala commented.

"How about you guys get hotdogs," Moon suggested, "I would get one but they're not vegan, even though they should be."

Lily patted her arm, "Compalin another day Moon."

"Wanna come?" Anala asked Sam.

Sam slowly nodded, "Sure."

Her book was left on a towel in her chair as they pair saundered off.

"Real subtle Moon," Lily drawled.

"What, we're helping them build bridges," Moon said giddily.

Yasmine smirked, "And get over an ex."

Eli glanced between them, "Wait – Sam and Anala? No way."

"Just wait. They don't know it yet," Moon said.

"Sam doesn't," Lily reiterated, making them laugh.

Cameron was enjoying her ice cream cone. Miguel took her hand and guided her through the park. He noticed she seemed a little bit down.

"Hey what's wrong?" he pulled them to a stop, but she hardly seemed to notice, her head was elsewhere. "Roni."

"Oh, sorry," She looked up at him. He could see the anguish dancing across her face. "I just... I saw Sam's scar."

Miguel understood, "Oh."

"I didn't realise how bad it was," she said, quietly.

Miguel tried, "You know that wasn't you right?"

"But I didn't stop it." Cameron voiced, "It's just so messed up. And I was a part of it all."

"But you're learning from it," he loved all the progress she was making.

But deep down he knew, better than anyone how much had been eating her up. And Tory's presence on the other side of the park wasn't helping it.

"Yeah, learning that I went on with Cobra Kai bullshit for so long. I never had a real reason to dislike her. It was all misunderstandings over a boy..." she trailed off, staring at him. Sam's short crush on Miguel had her rattled. "And then another one -- my cousin and that mess with Tory. It was just a mistake." her gaze darted over to where she heard some commotion. The Cobra Kai's targeting Anthony.  "And now look, this shit hasn't ended." Miguel turned to see Eli confronting them and was about to get involved. She stopped him.  "Don't. Eli has it handled."

They watched for a bit longer, it seemed that when Tory appeared everything cooled down... for now.

Miguel let out a sigh of relief and faced his girlfriend who continued to eat her cone.

"Wanna go on a ride after you finish your ice cream? One of those kids ones where your hair doesn't get too wet."

"Aw, how considerate," she cooed.

"Obviously," he leaned down and kissed her lips which were slightly smudged with ice cream, drawing a giggle from her.

"Gross," Devon muttered when she, Bert and Mitch stormed past.

"Shut up," Cameron called out over her shoulder, before licking her lips. "Kids, these days."

"No respect huh?" Miguel joked, then kissed her again. "Never thought I would like vanilla this much in my life," he said against her lips.

She laughed, and he discarded her cone once she was done.

"So... lazy river?" he gestured to the ride.

"Lazy river," She allowed him to lead the way, which was near their belongings.

Lily, Eli, Yasmine and Moon looked up when they returned. Anala and Sam were behind them in their own conversation. Only for it to be interrupted by the yelling and screaming at the entrance of the Double Dragon.

Shoving started and some yelling. Tory and Robby pushed their way between to calm everyone down.

"You kidding me with this bullshit again?" Hawk cursed, sitting up and pulling off his sunglasses. "There's Keene." They all spotted Robby in the middle.  He snapped his head over to Miguel, who rolled his eyes, "You said he wasn't in Cobra Kai anymore."

"It's what sensei told me," Miguel gesticulated.

"I thought he was cooling that shit after my birthday," Cameron mumbled.

"I still can't believe he turned up to your house." Eli snapped, "Don't get me started on him saying hi to your mom and her saying hi back."

Lily scoffed, "Not this again."

"Mrs James should be on my side," Eli said to the girls.

"She is, as you got her to say like 50 times," Cameron then nodded to the big fight, "Oh shit look."

The boys exchanged a look, and Eli's gaze darkened with anger, "Come on."

"Oh great," Cameron murmured when Miguel joined him and approached Robby.

"Hey. What are you doing?" Miguel shoved him.

Robby shut him down, "You stay out of this."

"Don't..." Miguel warned.

A whilst tore through the noise. A lifeguard demanded, "Stop it. All of you. Or you're all getting kicked out."

When he retreated, Miguel spoke, "Clearly, we can't coexist in peace, so let's find a solution."

"We can't fight. What are we supposed to do?" Mitch questioned.

Robby said quietly to his girlfriend, "We need to go."

Tory immediately responded, "No."

"How about a race?" Bert suggested, turning to look at Double Dragon.

They all followed his gaze.

"Yeah, I'll go," Eli stepped up confidently.

Tory matched his energy, "So will I."

Kyler announced, "All right, champ versus champ."

"Whoever wins gets the park," Tory stated the terms.

"Deal. But you won't win," Eli retorted.

From where Cameron was next to Lily - Yasmine and Moon had gone off somewhere - the commotion had stopped and the rival dojos had dispersed. Anthony LaRusso sat a chair away in silence and covered in a towel, traumatised by what happened to him.

"Oh, no, it's not gonna be a brawl, it'll be a race," she commented, seeing Eli and Tory take tubes from a smirking Kenny. "At this rate, I won't get to ride the lazy river with Miguel."

Lily said, with a crooked smile, "Oh you guys are going on that as well? Me and Eli were going."

"So were we," Sam felt flushed under their sudden stares. "I meant me and Anala were talking about going on it at some point."

Cameron's focus was pulled away by Kyler's voice.

"Y'all ready for this?" he yelled through the cheers. "This is to decide the champion of all champions." Miyagi-Dos, Eagle Fangs and Cobra Kais supported their champions as they got onto their tubes and sat at the edge of the entrance, holding on as the rampant water flushed beneath them. "Three, two, one. Let's go!"

"If he doesn't win this, I'll never hear the end of it. And I want a chill weel," Lily stressed.

"It's never chill anything with Cobra Kai around," Sam murmured, drawing Cameron's attention.

Her eyes flickered to Sam's arm.

The race ended and Tory won, further aggravating Cameron and Sam.

When Eli emerged, he was enraged as he lifted his deflated tube claiming they cheated.

Booing and heckling followed next.

"They never play fair," Sam muttered under her breath.

"Oh shit," Cameron's eyes widen when Eli confronted Kenny, and the little kid swung on him.

It prompted Miguel and Robby to step in as a fight broke out. Robby pushed Eli into the pool, urging Miguel to shove him.

"That bastard," Lily cursed seeing it all.

"Hey. Watch yourself," Miguel snarled as he and Robby stood toe-to-toe.

Robby didn't back down, "You wanna go?"

The lifeguard blew his whistle and separated the two, "Hey. Everybody get out and leave the park immediately. I mean it. Everybody out. Now."

Miguel dragged his hateful gaze away from Robby and helped Eli out of the pool.

"Come on," Cameron got her and Miguel's things.

Everyone else reluctantly got up.

"Let's go, Anthony," Sam instructed her brother, who tiredly did so. She accidentally dropped her book, leaving someone else to pick it up.

The dojos filed out of the amusement park disbelieved and annoyed.

"At least you didn't get your hair wet," Lily remarked.

Cameron snorted, "Not now." she turned to her boyfriend, "You coming home with me, or do you need me to drop you off?"

Shocked, Moon asked, "You're driving again?"

"Yeah, my mom lets me now."

"That's great."

Anala informed, "As long as she stays on her meds."

Cameron rolled her eyes, "Thanks, 'Nala."

"I'm dropping Anala off at the LaRusso's," Lily stated. The others looked confused.

Eli had to ask, "Why?"

"Sam left her book," Anala held it up.

Eli stifled a laugh and gave Lily a chaste kiss. He whispered, "I totally see it now."

"Shut up," she playfully shoved him.

"Bye guys," Moon waved, Yasmine followed behind her.

Miguel caught Robby walking past, briefly forgetting to answer his girlfriend, "Wait for a second. I'll catch up." he darted away, moving fast to stop Robby, shoving his chest. "Hey! I could've sworn sensei said you were out of Cobra Kai."

"I'm not in Cobra Kai," Robby replied, getting annoyed.

"You're on their side every time they start fighting."

"You don't know what you're talking about."

Miguel got in his face, "You think because you came to Mexico you're a good guy. You're not."

Johnny pulled up in his van just in time, and Miguel shoved Robby again.

" Look who's talking." Robby snapped back, "Let's get clear. I didn't come to Mexico for you."

"Nobody asked you to go anywhere!" Miguel yelled.

"Hey, hey! Stop it." Johnny got out of his van, getting between the two. "I want you guys to get along. We're all friends now."

They turned to him.

Miguel said firmly, "No, we're not friends."

"We never will be," Robby vowed.

And they split away, leaving Johnny to his dilemma.

"Miguel!" Cameron ushered him over as she stood by the driver's side of her door. "let's go!"

"I can't stand that guy," Eli said, getting into the back.

Cameron kissed her teeth.

When Miguel angrily pulled open the passenger side and hopped in, he didn't speak.

Neither of them did.

They were pissed.

Just like Cobra Kai wanted.

a/n:

me like a lot of fans, gas tory up because for some reason sam is overhated. in this story, i had cameron initially dislike her just for a bit of angst, but i regret it.  honestly sam is fine as a character. she's not a villian, she's very talented, desired by many, and yes sure is the reason for a few fights but if she was given tory's (underdog) struggle i do think people would've liked her more. she's deeply privileged. she has supportive and active parents and has a great foundation in life. this is not me downplaying her starting problems and whining when she gets caught or miscalculates the situation. I don't dislike her, she's actual very real and similar to tory.

i think now cameron is recovering and learning to deal with her emotions more heavily, she's reflecting a lot more. she's seeing the damage her anger indirectly caused a lot more people. i think it's a lot different from how she was in season 4, considering she isn't as argumentative, just accepting mainly toward sam. but... that's another situation completely.
