MIGUEL Diaz was finally out of the hospital. Determined to get back on his feet. His girlfriend bounced on her heels as she watched him leave in his wheelchair and was supportive of his physiotherapy.
"Spinal fractures take around three months to heal Miggy. It might take longer or... not In this case you're gonna get back on your feet in less time isn't that right brayden?" Cameron concluded her rant with a question.
The physiotherapist looked up with a wide smile as he stretched Miguel's legs on the table of the Diaz's living room. It was all Carmen's doing since she got free physical therapy from work.
Brayden slowly nodded, "Just as long he treats his back with the right care."
"And red meat will help with back fractures," Cameron added, smiling when he nodded in acknowledgement.
"That is true. But not too much."
"Beef enchiladas. One of your favorites Mig... Miguel?" She tilted her head when he wasn't fully listening.
Suppressing a sigh, Miguel replied, "I heard and thank you for all of the research. Really. I just need to —"
"School. I know you're missing a lot of it," she cut him off. "I can help you. I might not be an A-star student. But I'm at a B average now," Carmen gave Cameron a proud look. "And I'm excelling at biology if you need help." He almost choked on air when she said that. "Not like that, I promise."
"You should honestly go, I'm fine," Miguel wanted nothing more than to return to school, or at the very least walk around but he needed to put in the work first.
He didn't mean to get so pissy with his girlfriend. But it just came out that way.
Rolling her shoulders back, Cameron tried, "I skipped grocery shopping... don't tell my mom Carmen."
She regretted blurting it out.
Carmen raised a brow, "No promises. I'm not encouraging this."
Cameron pursed her lips, as she reasoned, "Right. But back to the food topic." She turned back to her dishevelled boyfriend. "I know red meat will work because when I'm on my period and I get incredible back pain that always helps me out."
Miguel grumbled, "It's not the same."
Cameron's shoulders slumped when she murmured, "I'm aware, Miguel, I was just saying it works." With every discouragement he dished out, the more she scratched at her nail polish. "It's your week with Leo so I'll leave him here. If you want."
He went to respond but was interrupted by a familiar voice. "Let's go speed racer. We're gonna work those gimpy legs like a..." it was Johnny. He was stumped by the sight.
As was Cameron who stood up in dismay, "Wow. So you take his help and not mine."
"You're my girlfriend, not my carer," Miguel pointed out dismissively, further dragging the adults into more discomfort. "Wait I meant..."
"Fine." Cameron cut him off, grabbing her stuff. "Thanks for having me Carmen." She ignored the pleas from Miguel whilst she barged past Johnny and exited the apartment.
She understood that this was Miguel's journey and not hers but pissed her off even more. He wasn't letting her in.
To her it felt like he stopped the moment they confessed their feelings.
She tried calling Lily as she made her way back to her car.
No answer.
She tried again but it went to voicemail, only further frustrating her.
They haven't been talking that much but they would always pick up within seconds or if not send quick texts.
But no callback.
And no text.
Aisha was busy.
And Tory was at work.
So she thought of the only other person who could understand her.
"Sup stranger danger." Hawk greeted.
"You busy?"
"At Golf 'N' stuff. With the rest of the guys. You coming?" He asked.
"Of course."
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"CHRIS." She greeted the irked ex-Cobra Kai.
Chris' eyes widened when they saw her. "Cameron. What do you want?"
"Don't worry I heard some of my friends jacked your shit," she gestured to the toys he was putting back onto the shelves. "I'm not gonna do that because I have some tact."
"What do you want?" He repeated, turning his body to face her.
"We were friends before you defected to the dark side."
He scoffed, "You honestly think Miyagi-do is the dark side?"
"No," she burst out laughing, further antagonizing him. "Just came to say hi and if any of your worker friends damage my car parked by the front I'll know." She wiggled her fingers as she backed away. "Bye-bye."
It didn't take long to find her friends, who played with the toys they stole, kicking them around and just being menaces to the entire establishment.
"I didn't know Chris worked here," her statement earned a bunch of shrugs.
"Don't worry about it." Hawk waved her off and then threw her a toy. It was a small bobblehead of a bulldog. "Here, for your troubles."
"Not as good as the one Miguel won for me but I'll take it, thanks." Her grin mirrored his. "Need to put it in my car 'cause I'm not walking around with a stolen prize."
"We're gonna sneak into the old laser tag place," Hawk replied. "You coming?"
Her face lit up, "You think I would miss out on a chance to beat any of you?"
"Nah. You won't be able to handle this shit," One of the boys joked, making them all snigger.
"Yeah, whatever." Cameron playfully rolled her eyes, "Give me 5 minutes."
When she came back inside she swore she heard heavy footsteps running in the opposite way. It confused her slightly but upon nearing her car her breath hitched.
Rage boiled and her eyes squinted as she squeezed the bobblehead so tight it's head dropped to the ground.
The words 'Queen Disciple' were scratched across the bonnet of her car.
Her dad's car.
Seething with fury, she spat, "They're gonna pay for this shit."
And the first contact she called would certainly not gonna miss the opportunity to be there.

CAMERON entered the old laser tag room with Tory by her side.
"Sam LaRusso..." Tory's voice echoed through the dark establishment. As Caldwell and Johnson stood on either side of them. "Where are you, bitch?"
"I know it was one of you who fucked up my car!" Cameron raged, "I don't care who. Because if one of you did it. All you are to blame."
As they joined the fight, Cameron saw Mitch, attacking Chris.
Her teammate punched Chris toward her.
"Didn't wanna do this to you, Chris."
She ran up, kicking him to the ground. She sent a punch and rounded him with great speed, dropping to her knees and wrapping her arm around his neck.
"If you were still at Cobra Kai," she chuckled when he fought against her, tapping against her arm with desperation. "You would've learnt this. It's a speciality." He gasped for breath as his 9 seconds were coming to an end. "Rear naked chokes or sleeper holds are the best... night night."
She let him slowly drop to the side, moving out of the way as another enemy came.
She grunted when they kicked her side.
"Show yourself LaRusso!"
She heard Tory's voice as she thrust out her leg, knocking someone else out as they spun to the ground.
Cameron laughed loudly and skipped through the place.
"Come out, come out wherever you are!" she whispered.
Her taunting drew more advances but she was too enraged to care if she had to take on another.
It was clear the Miyagi-do's were extremely outnumbered.
Pleading tore through the laser tag place, Demetri's pleas.
But Sam cowered into a corner, breathing heavily as she was brought back to the darkest time in her life.
She could see it all happen. Hawk was going to break Demetri's arm, whilst being heckled and encouraged to do so.
But soon her vision was blocked and Cameron towered over her.
The echoing snap lingered in her ears as a cry followed with applause.
The panic attack Sam was having only grew worse with Cameron's presence.
"You reap what you sow Samantha. Didn't I tell you not to throw stones at glass houses?" she quietly mocked. "Now look, the house has fucking caved in. Keep glaring and you'll need more than just stitches."
Cameron took pleasure in the fear flashing across Sam's face. Tory's voice then echoed through the hall.
Tory yelled. "This isn't over, LaRusso!"
"CJ. Come on." Hawk called out.
Cameron winked as tears streamed down Sam's face.

CAMERON didn't mention what happened to her car to her mom, or why it was in the auto shop. Drew tried questioning but she only rolled her eyes before leaving to see her boyfriend.
"So whatever cooky methods he showed you helped move your feet?" Cameron sceptically asked, gesturing to Johnny.
"Yeah. Look, Cameron. Look. Look. Look!" Carmen encouraged her son.
Miguel mustered up the strength to tap his feet, shocking his girlfriend who gasped in disbelief.
"Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!" She breathed out.
"And I'm sure the red meat helped also," Johnny offered Cameron a smile but she only stiffly nodded in response.
"I doubt that," she grumbled, smiling at Miguel who shook his head.
"It did," Miguel reassured her, knowing he'd been hard on her for simply helping. "We had a ton of hot dogs today."
"Good," Cameron leaned down to kiss his forehead. "Keep it up." She glimpsed at her old Sensei. "Both of you I guess."
Johnny left not long after that with a great sense of accomplishment.
"Are you staying for dinner Cameron?" Carmen asked, so overcome with happiness she missed the darkened look breaching the young girl's eyes.
"Yeah we're having Beef enchiladas like you said," Miguel sheepishly said, taking his girlfriend's shaking hand.
He presumed it was out of excitement.
Before she could respond, Carmen suggested, "I'll set another seat at the table for you."
"Thanks," Cameron called out, seeing the older woman rush off to the kitchen. She turned to her boyfriend who traced his fingers over her bruised fists. "Look you don't have to do this because I said so."
"Baby I know I've been mean." He admitted, meeting her narrowed gaze, "Snappy and everything. I shouldn't be, you're in my corner backing me all the way. One of my biggest supporters and I shouldn't be on your back all the time..." he playfully rolled his eyes when she couldn't help but grin. "You know what I mean."
She hummed, "I do."
"I'm sorry. Stay for dinner?"
She gave him a small nod, "Yeah."
"And are you gonna tell me what happened to your car?" He asked as he pushed the wheels of his chair and glided beside her.
A scowl formed on her face when she answered, "Yeah. I will after dinner."

umm, that's part 2 ending was certainly something... anyways miguel on top?! and fuck demetri!
i wrote this chapter with so much apprehension. i didn't know how far I wanted cameron to go. from the looks of it. it seems like cameron oversees all the bad shit that the cobra kai's do. although i am in no way defending her. how she taunted sam was cruel. and her being so apathetic about demetri's injury is even worse.
she's got people around her just saying 'exactly' for sure.
miguel's attitude could have a hand in how she behaved at the laser tag place, but also her dad's car being trashed as well as her simply wanting to just attack the miyagi-do's. also because she can't take her frustration out on miguel, she'll continue to take it out on others.
lily isn't picking up her phone to cameron... any clue why?
