Winter was coming, and (y/n) was almost ready. She had collected enough fruits and nuts, and even found some local places where animals would graze. She made herself a bow, shelter and even some clothing. It wasn't easy for her, but she learnt, and she climbed the food chain.

Though it was maddening how lonely it was, so every day she would go out searching for statues. And she found some. Like tsukasa, taiju and yuzuriha. However she hadn't found tsukasa, or any of her previous co-workers. She did find the spot where she used to work though, it was currently next to the ocean. A really beautiful place actually. (Y/n) would often go there to collect shells. Like her and Tsukasa used to do.

"AHH IT'S SO LONELY!! SENKU YOU BETTER WAKE UP SOON!"

(Y/n) yelled at some monkeys that were watching her.

And then winter came.

And then winter left.

Nothing particular happened to (y/n), she mostly stayed inside and would only go out to get food. She tried making things, and by things just a bunch of blankets. But (y/n) did find clay so she started making pots! It was a nice hobby to stop her from going insane.

And then spring came. Along with that so did senku.

He actually got to her place while she was out.

"Impressive that (y/n) could do this all by herself."

"WHO'S THERE?! IS IT A GHOST??"

someone screamed, which senku could only assume it was (y/n).

"Don't be an idiot your gorilla, it's just me."

"Wait.... I know what voice.. SENKU OMG COME HERE!"

(Y/n) ran up to him, giving him a giant hug.

"OI LET GO I ONLY HAVE A BUSH ON!"

"S-SORRY I'LL GET YOU CLOTHES RIGHT NOW!"

(Y/n) ran into her tree hut. And pulled out clothing for him.

"I knew you'd wake up so I made clothes from you!"

(Y/n) had a flushed face, looking away from the male In front of her.

"So you were able to get all this done in 6 months? Pretty good for a doctor."

"I KNOW! ANYWAY LET'S GO PUT TAIJU IN THE PLACE YOU WOKE UP."

(Y/n) yelled, running to where her friend's body. 

So impulsive (y/n), you'll be the death of me.

Senku thought with a smirk. Following (y/n).

They put tauji in the same cave Senku woke up in. Hoping it would work.

"So (y/n) do you know how you woke up?"

"Awwww you're calling me by my first name that's cute, anyway no I don't know. Sheer willpower I guess."

"No no... That's completely illogical. There has to be a reason."

"Well how about we find out what happened."

"If it's with you, I'm 10 billion percent sure we'll be able to do it."

Senku said to (y/n) with a smirk. Causing her face to go a bit red

Oh my god is he trying to romance me?! IS HE FLIRTING AHHH!!!!  Am I making progress with him? ahhh say goodbye to that cute guy in archery, hello senku!

(Y/n) thought. She couldn't move. It just shocked her how flirtatious that sounded. It's gonna be a fun time waiting for taiju.

It honestly took a lot longer than they thought it would, (y/n) and senku schemed in the meantime, trying to find ways to get humanity back to the way it's been. (Y/n) also learnt it's been 3715 years and a few hundred days since that day. Way longer than she estimated, hell it was so long she couldn't really wrap her head around it.
But she's already waited so long to wake up, what's another few months. And indeed it was a few months that (y/n) and senku had to wait. A whole 6, actually. It happened while senku was walking around, looking around for resources. He went to the place he told taiju to meet him.

"SEEENKU!!"

taiju screamed. He had tears in his eyes.

"Kukuku... So you finally wok up? You great big oaf."

Senku said, however the brunette run up to him.

"WOOOOOOOAAAAAAH!!!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!! YOU'RE ALIVE, SENKUUUU!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I.. I..."

"DON'T HUG ME WEARINGS THOSE BUTT NAKED CLOTHES OF YOURS!! I'LL KILL YOU!!"

senku screamed, kicking taiju off of him, (y/n) could hear the yelling all the way at the base.

ahh taiju is back. finally. 

 Senku regained his composure and look at his friend

"As of today it is October 5th in the year 5738 AD. How long are you planning on sleeping in, huh? I've been awake for the past half year, working with (y/n)."

"... Huh? How do you know ...so precisely what the date is, and (y/n)? She's awake?!"

Taiju said with a confused face 

"Huh? I just counted. As if there's any other way of keeping track? And of course (y/n) is awake, she's a pretty determined person, you know?"

Senku said in response, as if counting for 3700 years was normal.

"So then... Inside that darkness... The whole time... All that time you..."

The brunette tried to wrap his head around the concept, but he just couldn't.

"Even if I was able to wake up with sheer willpower alone like (y/n) did, it I were to wake up without any means of survival in the midst of winter was with not supply of food I'd be an instant game over."

Senku said, leading taiju to his and (y/n) base. 

"So that's why in order to survive it was essential that I start in the spring. Which means that the first piece of information I needed was an accurate calendar."

Taiju just stood there. 

"You know it's lucky (y/n) survived, she woke up in- oi keep moving you big oaf, and stop gawking. And get over here."

The two entered the base

"Ahhhh taji-kun it took you long enough!"

(Y/n) said, running up to taiju with clothes.

"(Y/NNNNNNNNNN)!!!"

He yelled, also running up to hug her.

"TAJIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-KUN!!!!

The (h/c) female yelled running over to him as well. However, Senku interrupted their reunion.

"OI YA BIG OAF YOU'RE STILL NAKED! DON'T TOUCH HER!"

Senku yelled, grabbing onto his arm.

"R-right."

"It's o-okay, here's your clothing."

(Y/n) said with a small smile, giving the spiky brown haired male clothes.

"Sorry it's not much taji-kun, we haven't really had enough manpower to do anything. But i'll go off and find you some meat!"

(Y/n) said, before going off to find some more food for the three of them, she brought her bow with her. (Y/n) would often do this, she would go out with her bow to find food for her and senku,  she'd get herbs and other minerals on the way. Sometimes (y/n) would talk to people she used to know, tsukasa was one of them. She'd sometimes talk to him for hours, about how much she missed him, possible ways to cure his sister. She knew tsukasa wouldn't be the next person to wake up, but she could still hope. As she was telling him about taiju's return, she spotted a few rabbits. 

"Sorry I have to go tsu tsu, i'll see you soon."

she said, (y/n) was going to give him a kiss on the cheek, but decided to go for a hug instead. (y/n) ran off to the rabbits. 

okay okay you can do this (y/n), you've done it so many times. You don't need to feel bad anymore. Just imagine you're doing it for him.

the (h/c) female thought as she aimed the arrow at the rabbit. The snow white rabbit looked at her, with its beading red eyes. letting a deep breath out, she let go of the arrow, looking away from the scene; she killed a rabbit, again. It wasn't even the first time she's done this, but just the way the animal looked at her, it hurt her heart.

Just pretend it will cure her.

When (y/n) got back it was around night, she was carrying a few rabbits for the three to eat. She saw a fire.

"Hey-"

"We'll become the Adam and Eve of this stone world. Now things are getting exciting."

(Y/n) heard senku say to taiju.

"So you two are gay?"

She said, skinning the rabbits.

"N-NO YOU GORILLA, YOU RUINED THE MOMENT!"

senku said, startled. The three had a good time while they looked for the cure.

It took so much trial and error for the three to figure out what to do. Thankfully one day while taiju and (y/n) were out scouting they found grapes.

"AHHHH (Y/N) DON'T EAT THESE THEY'RE SO SOUR!"

"WAIT WAIT WAIT TAIJU HOLD ON!"

(Y/n) yelled, grabbing the grapes and running back to camp.

"SENKU SENKU SENKU, LOOK AT WHAT TAIJU FOUND!"

the scientist looked at the grapes in the girls hands.

"(Y/n) why are you being so illogical, they're just grapes."

"NO WE NEED THEM FOR THE THING THE UHHH??"

Taiju soon caught on.

"OH YEAH SENKU THE LIQUID!"

taiju yelled along with (y/n)

"Wow, not bad you two, especially you, you big oaf."

Senku yelled, getting straight to work on the fluid that they needed. It took months and months, with senku, (y/n) and taiju putting in hours of work. Sometimes (y/n) wouldn't even sleep, though the other two didn't really notice. But it was all for the good of society, senku and taiju cared, right?

It was now spring, and the three had five samples.

"Let's hope these work..."

(Y/n) said, testing it on two of the birds.

Senku's bird didn't work.

Taijus birds didn't work.

(Y/n)'s bird didn't work,

But the other did.  The bird soared into the sky making taiju and (y/n) to gasp 

"WAIT WAIT WAIT WE DID IT OH MY GOD WE DID IT FINALLY!!"

"YEEEEEAAAAAAAAH!"

(Y/n) and taiju danced around with each other, while senku sat down.

"It's been a year since we started this experiment... and after thousands of fails.. kukukuku that straight and steady path of science, it gets there faster than you'd think."

senku looked to the sky.

"In the end, science triumphs over fantasy, isn't that right (y/n)?"

senku said, looking over to his assistant, who was still in daze from seeing the swallow fly.

"yeah.."

(y/n) said in response. the spring onion head then looked at Taiju.

"Taiju we've got the grapes you found to thank for this. So you can choose who to revive first."

oh well i can choose next i guess.

"Thank you senku!"

His answer is pretty obvious, so i'll go make some clothes for her.

(y/n) thought, as she grabbed her bow to get more animal hide for her best friend.

but to either (y/n) or senku's calculation something went wrong.

"Good luck you two! And be careful."

(y/n) yelled, waving the two off. She decided to stay, to work on the miracle fluid.

"Thanks (y/n)! We'll be back!"

taiju yelled, waving to the girl. running to catch up with senku. It was a short walk for the two, maybe a 30 minute walk. However taiju realised one fatal mistake just as senku was going to pour the liquid on yuzuriha.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT!"

Taiju stopped the scientist

"YUZURIHA IS NAKED!!!! WE CAN'T WAKE HER UP LIKE THIS!"

he yelled, poking senku in the eyes. Causing senku to cringe.

(y/n) would have remembered the clothes. How illogical can this oaf be.

senlu thought, looking at his friend.

"there you go, being illogical again. Look around! no one cares if you're running around naked with your dick out, this is the stone age!"

Senku yelled while trying to reason with taiju.

"IT DOES MATTER, IF THIS WERE (Y/N) YOU WOULDN'T REVIVE HER WITHOUT CLOTHES."

senku's face flushed a bit. But taiju didn't care about that, all he cared for was getting clothes on yuzuriha.

"I'M GOING TO BRING HER BACK TO CAMP! AND I'M GOING TO DRESS HER!"

taiju yelled, picking up his crush.

"come on, how much does that statue weigh?"

"YUZURIHA ISN'T FAT! SHE'S NOT EVEN CHUBBY!"

"that's not the point..."

Just as Senku and Taiju were going back to camp, senky saw bright beady eyes.

"WAIT!"

A lion pounced out.

"RUN"

The two males were running for their lives away from the lion, while taiju was still carrying the statue. The two kept running and running, the spiky brown haired man asking his friend many questions. Until he got the idea to sacrifice himself.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"THE WORLD CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT SCIENCE! RUN WITH YUZURIHA!!"

Taiju yelled at senku. But his friend just didn't agree.

"THINK ABOUT THIS LOGICALLY, (Y/N) AND I CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU! WE STILL NEED YOUR BODY! SO WE NEED TO KEEP RUNNING"

But then the brunette got an idea

"FOLLOW ME!"

The male said, grabbing the female statue and running off to the tree. but they were cornered. The two were panting.

"I FOUND HIM ON MY FIRST DAY, THE STRONGEST HIGH SCHOOL PRIMATE... SHISHIOU TSUKASA!"

senku looked at the female statue, then the lions, then the other male.

"sorry yuzuriha, but we need to live to revive you."

senku said, pouring the liquid onto the high schooler.

"SORRY FOR WAKING YOU UP!"

taiju yelled, but the long brown haired male stayed calm.

"what's the situation?"

he asked, senku turned towards him.

"YOU'RE ENTIRE BODY IS COVERED IN SOME MINERAL SUBSTANCE, AND THERE IS A PACK OF LIONS  FROM 9 O'CLOCK TO 2 O'CLOCK!"

senku yelled, giving the primate male directions.

"okay."

tsukasa replied simply, killing the pack of lions with his bare fists.
