(also for any context this is around the 11th episode of season 1, and the start of chapter 28 of the manga. I hope i can start speeding it up a little there's just so much expedition omg)

"AWWW SUIKA YOURE SO SO CUTE WITHOUT IT!!"

"WAH LOOK AT HOW ADORABLE YOU ARE!"

the two girls screamed over the blonde child. however the cuteness didn't last long.  Without the glass in her helmet she couldn't see anything which she called the fuzzy disease.

"everything looks blurry so suika tries extra hard to see... and it's just embarrassing to squint like this.."

"aww you can put the watermelon on your head again! Senku and I won't take ig off again."

you say patting her back.

"Everything is so much easier to see with the watermelon! I don't know why though."

"right must be the pinhole effect. Peeking through little holes narrows the stream of light. That reduces the degree of fuzziness."

Senku explains to Suika.

"so there's a connection between suikas fuzzy disease and glass?"

"yep! 100% a connection."

"listen suika your issue is you're super duper near sighted! but it's not a disease. and there's nothing wrong with you. Nobody thought twice about it in our scientific civilisation... because we have these scientific eyes crafted from glass. we called them glasses."

woah i've never seen senku bend down to a kids level to talk to them... usually he doesn't care enough to. I guess he is changing.

"so science.... can even make new eyes for someone? that's just too good to be true."

"yep."

Senku says getting up. letting Suika process it all.

"suika really just wants to see the world clearly. Even just once. Suika wants to see you guys... even if it's only one time. Not the fuzzy versions but the way you guys really look!"

"Well let's get to it then!let's go make some glass!"

(y/n) said.

"Yeah let's go! what do we need senku!?"

"the main ingredient for glass is silca sand. that's missing from your almighty collection chrome."

Well, yeah why would i go and gather sand?"

the five went to go grab a bunch of sand.

by the time they got back it was already dark.

"okay now all we need is lead, right senku?"

"right like always (y/n)."

"awww you called me by my name and not a gorilla you must like me!"

The girl teased the scientist. leaving him with a blush.

"don't be irrational, c-can you please get me lead."

"oh ho ho? stuttering too, you must be madly in love with me!"

"AM NOT!"

"mhm you always say that."

(y/n) said whistling, off on her way to get lead from chrome.

Senku always says am not' or 'i would never like anyone!' but he likes me as a friend at least. So could he like me more? or does his no actually mean no? God men are confusing

she thought handing the boy the lead. Once everything was cooled down Senku brought out a lense, the 3 others were astonished.

"OHHH!!"

"it looks like ice?"

"it's so see through!"

next they had to grind the lenses so it was actually useable, Kohaku went to go train with kinro and Ginro. While she wasn't officially invited to the science team (y/n) decided she would probably fit better there.

after working for a while she decided it was time for a break as suika chrome and senku all look tired as.

"let's have a break guys!"

"huh! don't make me scoff science doesn't stop for anyone."

Senku said like an annoying little bitch.

"well it stops for you, for 5 minutes. Eat with me! when was the last time we did that? ages ago, come on!"

(y/n) said dragging the scientist away from the others leaving them to collapse on the floor.

"why are you making me have a break?! we were so close to being done."

"because i care about your well-being."

she said, taking out some food she had stored.

"you always say that but you don't care about your own enough. Remember when you came to the club!? you collapsed on the experiment. I had to run your face under cold water for 15 minutes."

"see you care for me so i don't need to care for myself!"

"sure sure. I don't know why you continued doing school. You could've stopped when you became a doctor."

"i know i know you remind me all the time. But i would've missed you, taiju and yuzu too much!!"

Senku just chuckles at the comment.

"that's such a bad excuse that i won't question you."

"thank you kindly my liege."

(y/n) said doing a small bow as a little jokey joke that they used to always do.

"you're most welcome madam."

Senku said eating with his mouth open.

"geez you could literally launch a rocket into space, but you can't eat with you mouth closed."

she teased.

"at least i'm not as bad as taiju!"

"AH!! WHEN WE WERE KIDS AND HE HAD HIS SPITTING HIS FOOD OUT PHASE. HAD ME DEAD."

"don't even remind me. it gives me a migraine just thinking about it..."

"and his first confession to yuzu.. so cute even though it went so bad."

"can't believe he liked the same girl for 5 years. That oaf really found his soulmate. Even though soulmates are completely illogical and scientifically impossible."

Senku said. Spouting his nonsense about science again.

"yeah yeah science this science that. But do you think you've met your soulmate yet?"

"what a weird question, (y/n)."

"hmmm well i think you have."

"why? because science is my one true love. Nothing can separate us! we were made each other, science and I are gonna ride off into the sunset together an-"

"okay okaayyyy i get it you dont believe in soulmates."

(y/n) says rolling her eyes.

"senku you should be my soulmate if i can't find one!"

"huh doesnt that ruin the whole purpose of a soulmate if it's a final option??"

"nooo because we already are as besties but you can be my romantic soulmate too!"

"don't say such silly things you dork..."

The two kept talking, like how they used to when everything was normal. Senku had an usually red face this time though.

It only took another hour or so to get suikas glasses measurements correct before they were ready to use. So the 3 teens had the idea to take her somewhere special to see her first non fuzzy scene ever. A field of sunflowers was the perfect idea. at least for some of them.

All the worst memories came back go (y/n), the last time she saw Tsukasa. The way he tried to manipulate her into believing she was alone... the two used to always go to flower fields. whenever they needed to get away from everything. but nows not the time. It's suikas time!

"Suika can you tell what you're looking at?"

chrome asked while the girl didn't have the helmet on.

"that's a sunflower right? even suika can tell that muc-"

the girl was silent as soon as senku put the glasses on her.

it was beautiful.

and on the other side. Kinro was hiding a horrible secret....
he was a...
secret four eyes... and he also needed glasses desperately. obviously to see dear (y/n) in all her beauty. and maybe to battle better but that's it.

the next day the crew was in a hardest mindest, trying to blow glass which chrome failed miserably.

"hey at least you tried your best chrome..."

(y/n) patted the boys back trying to cheer him up.

"I'll get better for you and ruri!!"

he said trying to blow more glass.

which also went bad.

"you tried your best again... and sometimes your best isn't good enough."

dead eyes from everyone.

"well.. you guys can go put your great minds together i'm going to get more sand for glass!"

(y/n) said running off.

obviously she didn't want to deal with some expedition

"glad i got away from that. i'm sure they can solve it themselves."

i said to myself.

man i really have nothing to do besides get sand. maybe i could look for hyoga but i can't be bothered it's too much work.

i walked on countless sticks and leaves. It was making so much noise.

wow would sure be crazy if this had any conseque-

an arrow flew past my head.

"AHH WHO THE FUCK DID THAT YOU BETTER OF MISSED ON PURPOSE!"

i yelled trying to seem tough. I have no clue if it was working or not.

"you don't seem to be much of a danger."

i heard a strange voice say from the bushes.

"please come out i'm literally just some girl with a basket of sand."

i pleaded to the voice. If i was going to be killed i need to know who did it at least. I can't haunt the wrong person. in the corner of my eyes i saw bits of yellow moving around. Before it was behind me.

"hi there..."

i said timidly.

"no need to be scared. I think i might know you. you can look at me."

I gulp.

okay when i don't want to write stuff in the story i usually make y/n leave bc it's a bunch of unimportant stuff that's really important but i like writing your little bush encounters more they're so much more fun but let me know what you guys think because it could just be me who likes them.

also what happened is they got the old guy who could blow glass and that's it. some speech from senku about the modern world too idk.
