"Senku, (y/n)..... If worst comes to worst, look after Yuzuriha, please. And i will... stop Tsukasa!!"

Taiju ran towards Tsukasa, head first. With no game plan, at all. 

fuck, I swear to god if Tsukasa kills Taji-kun, I'll never forgive him! I'll! I'll.... 

(y/n) thought, pointing her bow at Tsukasa. But it was just an empty threat.

Who am I kidding? what would I do? Just stay mad at him.... I'm so fucking powerless to help, I can't even shoot him.

(y/n) lowered her bow. Yet an arrow was still shot, just not by her. It was by Senku, using his crossbow, an arrow headed towards Tuskasa's way. Before (y/n) could scream at her friend to move out the way, he snapped the arrow in half. 

Shit i wasted my trump card, that meat head! Just running into things with no plan. Either way I need to get the four of us out of here!

Senku thought, for the first time in a while, he was panicking. Looking at Taiju and Tsukasa, the strongest primate kicked Taiju, which was blocked by the spiky haired brunette. But he didn't hit back.

"This is the first time any human has taken one of my kicks without being knocked out, but before I even get to that, Just now you could've attacked me, but you had no intent to. Why?"

Tuskasa said with a surprised tone.

"I CAN'T HIT ANOTHER PERSON! BUT YOU CAN HIT ME ALL YOU WANT, I DON'T MIND AT ALL. IN EXCHANGE, I WANT YOU TO STOP BREAKING STATUES, TSUKASA! KILLING PEOPLE IS BAD!!"

(y/n), Senku, Tsukasa and Yuzuriha just gave taiju a blank stare.

oh taiju, you innocent block head.

"Taiju.... If i'm deciphering your proposal correctly... You intend to not lift a finger, while allowing me to continue hitting you, but in return, I'm to not destroy any statues. Is that right?"

"THAT'S EXACTLY RIGHT!"

Tsukasa looked at the brunette, he even started sweating a bit.

"I can't make any sense out of that at all. That's not even a deal. There's not even any exchange going on there. And what if you do try to stop me hitting you?"

"I WON'T! NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU ATTACK ME, I WON'T STOP YOU!"

"He's telling the truth, Tsu-kun."

(y/n) said, trying to help her friend out.

"well if (y/n) says you're not lying, i guess you're not. But what about that girl there, the one you just revived. What if I were to say... I'm going to kill Yuzuriha?"

Taiju jumped in front of Yuzuriha, putting his arms up. 

So that's what Senku told us to leave...

Yuzuriha thought, worry consuming her face. Which only got more intense when Taiju collapsed to the ground.

"And the kick, kicked in."

"haha funny (y/n).."

senku said, rolling his eyes. (Y/n) cleared her throat.

"I can see he's bleeding pretty bad, I would say that he'll have to rest for a few days. We'll have to give him lots of water, fruits and veg, vitamin D and some fiber rich food."

(y/n) said, taking his temperature with her hands.

"Mmm... I suppose this is where we part ways. Taiju, you protect yluzuriha. Protect her even more than you would a statue of a baby. And (y/n) you never fail to impress me with your medical skills."

Tsukasa took a small step towards her, but decided to not go any further. He has already messed up the relationship too much, the last thing (y/n) would want is contact with someone who she believes to be a murderer. 

"And me... I'll do what i need to do. I won't let anyone get in my way. Not Taiju, not Senku and not (y/n)."

With that Tsukasa left. Senku retrieved the arrow he had fired. While Yuzuriha went over to Taiju. 

"The crossbow can fire bolts exceeding 200km/h. And he caught it... like he was grabbing an apple off a tree. He must be some kind of monster, and in this era... He's invincible."

"Yeah you're right Senku, there really is no way to stop him with our weak ass physical strength. But i'm guessing you have a trick up your sleeve?"

(y/n) asked the scientist, crossing her eyes. Although her body was shaking after that event with Tsukasa she didn't want to show it. 

"you know me too well (y/n), but yes the greatest invention in the history of humanity!"

"The smartphone?"

"No, I think he means a gunpowder, yuyu-chan."

"Yes that is correct (y/n)! I'm going to make gunpowder! The stone  age was 2 million years ago, compared to that, the gunpowder was incredibly recent, around 700AD"

"That means we're going to warp our science ahead by 199,008,700 years!"

"kukuku Ding ding ding 10 billion points to you (y/n). This is exhilarating! now come on we're about to begin our great adventure to create gunpowder!"

Senku said, kicking Taiju to wake him up. Yuzuriha's face filled with worry. 

"WHAAAAT?! (Y/N) DIDN'T YOU SAY HE NEEDED TO REST FOR A FEW DAYS?!!!"

"That was a lie! Only to make Tsukasa think we're defenseless for a few days. Come on Yuyu-chan! have some more faith in Taji-kun!"

"YEEEEEEEEEAH!!"

Taiju screamed in response. Leaving Senku to run over to all the pottery him and (y/n) made.

"AAAAAAAH OUR POTS!!"

"WHAT A WASTE OF YOUR HARD WORK!"

Yuzuriha and (y/n) screamed in outcry, all their long hours being destroyed right in front of their eyes.

"What are you doing senku?!"

Taiju asked.

"I'm staging the scene to make it seem that Tsukasa caused us to panic and we ran packing nothing else but food. As long as we are successful in creating gunpowder we will win! But if Tsukasa finds us out before we do, It's our loss! That is the kind of race we're in now."

Senku said in response, grabbing a few pre packed bags and handing it to the other three. With that, they were on the run. After a good half hour of walking or so they found themselves on a hill-like place, which looked over the forest that japan was.

"Let's go get materials to make gunpowder! our destination it hakone, a grand adventure! Just a little 80km hop and skip away!"

"80km... 80KM!! SENKU I'M A DOCTOR NOT AN ATHLETE, I'LL ACTUALLY DIE FOR REAL!"

"DON'T WORRY (Y/N)! I DON'T KNOW MOST THE DETAILS BUT I'M GUESSING WE CAN GET GUNPOWDER FROM THERE! IN THE END IT WILL BE WORTH IT"

Taiju yelled, putting a hand on (y/n) shoulder.

"80km... That's about 2 full marathons, we can probably make it in 5 hours"

"Only an endurance idiot like you'd be able to pull that off."

Senku said, leading him to pull out a device that Taiju and Yuzuriha didn't recognise.

"what's that thing, senku?"

"It's a sextant. It's been 35,970 seconds since the sun rose."

Did he seriously just spit that out like it was nothing?!

Yuzuriha thought she knew Senku was smart and quick thinking. But after 3700 years, she forgot just how smart he was.

"Senku counted to one trillion seconds while he was petrified, so something like this he could do in his sleep!"

Taiju said in response to his crush. 

"The sextant is able to calculate our present location using the current position of the sun or moon in the sky. This one, though, is  made out of garbage and hence, it's accuracy is garbage too."

The scientist said in disappointment, one of their only hopes at finding where they were is basically useless to finding their exact location.

"Unfortunately this garbage is all we've got. Right now we're around kamakura."

"mmmm aren't there any landmarks or anything around here to identify where we are?"

"All the iron has eroded and crumbled by now... so there's not really anything but stone left."

(y/n) said in response to the brunette. A thought flickered in yuzuriha's head.

"Landmarks in kamakura.... wait a second!"

Yuzuria ran into a direction where a clearing was. The three following behind closely. 

"LOOK OVER THERE! FOR SOME REASON NO TREES HAVE GROWN THERE AT ALL!"

"kukuku... now i know our location. 35 degrees 19' north 139 degrees 32' east!"

The four all looked up at the giant statue in front of them.

"oh god... is that what i think it is?"

"yep... the buddha statue..."

we really are 3700 years into the future…
