when I came back it was only me on the outskirts, it seems as if the others haven't gotten back yet. Might as well strike up a conversation with the gaurds.

"Hey you two how's it going?"

"you're not allowed in, rules are rules."

"haha all good I'm just bored."

The brunette stood their firmly, watching my every move like a hawk. While the blonde looked more bashful, It was cute how the two looked like opposites of eachother.

"You two make a good pair."

I say while sitting next to the bridge.

"if you do not wish to enter than leave."

Kinro said sternly to me. So obviously I have to talk to his brother instead.

"So Ginro how are you?"

"AH YOU KNOW MY NAME???"

He yelled, his face grew all shades of pink. How cute.

"mhm, have I not said it before? I can say it more often if you want!"

"OI (y/n) STOP TRYNA FLIRT WITH THE GAURDS!"

I heard Senkus voice yell from afar.

"f-flirt???!!??!"

I heard Ginro squeak out, poor boy looked like he's about to faint.

"What? you jealous or something, Senku?"

"PFF of course not. It's our turn to talk to them though."

Senku scoffed out, approching Ginro and Kinro.

"Oi not a step closer. Rules are rules."

Ah that little phrase he likes so much. Man is strating to sound like he's in a cult at this point.

"WELL, ONCE WE COOK UP A CURE THEY'LL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LET US IN!"

Chrome yelled out to the brothers. As the four of us started to walk back to our science base I noticed a melon was following us. Then a little girl popped out.

"AWWW!"

I yelled out, picking the girl up in one swift motion.

"YOU ARE SO SO SO CUTE!! SENKU CAN WE KEEP HER??"

This girl was actually the cutest thing I've ever seen. And the watermelon hat was just too cute. She looked a bit panicked from my outburst.

"Our her down you damn gorilla. You're scaring her."

Senku said without even taking the time to look back at me. I reluctantly let her down as I watched her run over to where Senku was going.

"What's her name?"

I asked Kohaku.

"Suika, be careful Shes a bit shy around others so try not to scare her."

"I see.  Also what did you guys get?"

"Come take a look for yourself!"

She said grabbing my hand. Her blonde hair blocked my sight a bit. When I reached our destination i couldn't help but notice a big basket filled up with our future iron.

"So how are we turning this into iron, Senku?"

I asked him.

"We gotta melt it all down."

"Ooh! How simple!"

"Chrome nothing is simple with Senku around..."

I said, i started to fear the future word ahead of all of us.

"(Y/n) is right. This isn't anything like baking pottery. Wood burns at a nice 700 degrees at best. However turning sand into iron.. that requires a nice 1500 degrees!"

"How can we get it that hot though?"

Kohaku asked.

"We just need a lot of oxygen in the fire!"

"1 billion points for (y/n)."

Senku then threw the 4 of us handmade bags that blew our air.

"I'm gonna regret joining the kingdom of science after this..."

All of us worked as hard as we could, pushing the bags as hard as we could.

"GAAHH MY ARMS HURT SO MUCH!"

"SAME! I THINK MINE ARE ABOUT TO FALL OFF."

"HOW MANY MORE MINUTES?!"

"APPROXIMATELY.. SEVERAL MORE HOURS!"

"SENKU YOU FUCKING BITCH!"

Kohaku must of noticed how worn out suika was.

"TAKE A REST AND SAVE  YOURSELF SUIKA!!"

After so long of doing pumping the 5 collapsed.

"Recruiting Labor is number one priority!"

"I guess we need more citizens."

As senku and chrome talked about their plans to bait people with science (y/n) decided to take a nice long nap after all that work.

"Detective suika is on the job!!"

The little girl said as she rolled into the village.

"In the mean time we should get more sand."

Senku said to Kohaku and chrome.

"Noo I'm so tired!! Can't I sleep as well!"

Chrome said in protest. Honestly senku onoy decided to let him stay because he was useless at gathering iron. So all that was left was a sleeping (y/n) and a tired chrome.

She's sleeping on the floor... maybe I should wake her up to get her inside. Actually no there's only one sleeping place in there so far so I don't want to give it up.... However I should be a gentleman. Damn chrome youre too good how are girls not flocking to you yet?

Chrome thought.

"Hey (y/n)! Wake up."

"Mmm"

(Y/n) just rolled over.

Awww she's kinda cute when she sleeps... WHAT DONT THINK THAT CHROME YOU ARE LOYAL TO RURI!!

In a panic he decided to push the girl to wake up.

"AH OMG WHAT HAPPENED ARE YOU OKAY??? DO YOU NEED HELP? I CAN WRAP UP A WOUND IF YOU NEED!"

"NO NO CALM DOWN I JUST DONT WANT YOU TO SLEEP ON THE FLOOR!!"

"Oh! Thank you! But don't you want to sleep as well?"

"Ah no it's okay you can use the bed I insist."

Chrome said proudly. Chivalry truely wasn't dead.

"Huh just come up with me?"

"W-WHAT NO I DONT WSNTTO INVADE YOUR PERSONAL SPACE YOU JUST TAKE IT!"

His face was as red as a tomato. Even though the two usually sleep in the same bed, senku is always in between. so honestly he barely notices that you're there.

"Umm okay.  Actually how about we get to know each other instead? We haven't really had the chance to talk."

"But aren't you tired?"

"Oh no no I can function perfectly well on 30 minutes of sleep! But you can sleep if you want?"

"Huh um.... Yeah sure let's get to know each other..."

Okkk Ill be honest I have no motivation to write this book bc this is the boring bit without gin 💔💔💔 I wish I would just timeskip to the cure being made I may find as way somehow to only write the interesting parts 👽👽
