Jessica's outfit
The thunder rumbled around them as Jessica and Drew sat in front of Liam, who was chained to a tree to keep him from wolfing out. A few meters away from them, Stiles stood leaning against the jeep, a big map spread out in front of him as Scott sat on the hood, talking about college.
During the summer, Drew had cut Jessica's hair just below her ears after the McCall girl had asked her. Melissa had gotten a small heart attack at first when she saw her daughter's newly cut hair but soon got over it once she got used to it.
Drew let out a laugh as she held up her phone and took photos of Liam as he made different grimaces. Jessica only watched the two in amusement, wanting to play matchmaker but remembering her best friends threatening words of what would happen if she meddled.
"Okay, Jess, what if you get down on your knees to the right of Liam and pray as if he were Jesus? I mean, tell me he doesn't look like Jesus on the cross." Jessica had to agree with her best friend on that and Liam narrowed his eyes at them.
"Not funny," Liam stated making Jessica tilt her head. " Yes, it is. But, I'm not getting down on my knees in the dirt," Jessica argued and Drew sighed. "Fine." Liam chuckled behind them and Drew shot him a dirty look, making him quiet down.Β
Jessica pulled out her phone from her pocket, making her friends turn to her, Liam wearing a confused expression as Drew wore a hopeful one. "Anything?" the Parrish girl asked, making Jessica sigh and shake her head. "Is this about Malia? I can stop listening if you need to have some "Girl Talk" or something." Liam spoke up, making the girls chuckle.
"It's not about girls or boys," she assured him, making him look up in interest. "Well, then I wanna hear," he said, interest clear in his eyes as he waited for the brown-eyed brunette to start talking. "I applied for a job at the video store at the beginning of the summer," Jessica told him, making him raise his eyebrows.
"You applied for a job? Where you have to interact with people and work after school?" he asked, making her roll her eyes. "Yes, I did," she said, making Liam purse his lips as Drew watched in amusement. "Are you sure you're up for that? I mean, you have trouble not falling asleep on the bus after school."
Jessica narrowed her eyes at the Beta murderously before getting off the ground, goosebumps visible under her fishnet tights. She was starting to regret her decision on wearing shorts but being as stubborn as she was, she would never admit it. Not even to Drew as she knew the Parrish girl would tell the whole pack, either by accident or because she wanted to.
"Yes, I can. And for your information, Lydia is teaching me to drive together with Malia so I don't have to take the bus anymore." she took a step closer to him but before she could do anything, Stiles' voice rang through the air as he asked a question.
"Think it's been long enough?"
At the sound of Stiles' voice, Liam perked up. "Yes!" he shouted back, making Stiles roll his eyes from over by the jeep before he and Scott turned to the younger teens. "Hey. Trying to have an adult conversation over here."
Jessica frowned at the Stilinski boy's words before speaking. "Hold up- Adults? Please, like you two can be counted as adults. I mean-" she went to argue further but Liam interrupted her. "You're two years older than us. And I'm fine! Just let me go."
Stiles and Scott shared a look before walking over to the younger teens, the keys to the chains rattling in Scott's hands. "It's not that we don't trust you," Scott assured Liam as he started unlocking the chains. "It's that I don't trust you," Stiles spoke up, holding his hand up for just a second before taking it down when Drew shot him a dirty look.
"But after that last full moon..." Scott continued, ignoring Stiles' comment. Liam groaned quietly as he met Scott's eyes and Jessica watched the scene in amusement. "It was one slip up!" Liam defended himself, making Stiles scoff. "Slip up? A dozen calls to the Sheriff's Department about a "monstrous dog-boy running around the streets of Beacon Hills naked." That's a slip-up?" Stiles questioned and Scott looked up at his Beta, his eyebrows creased.
"Why were you naked?" the Alpha questioned, making Liam look away in embarrassment as Jessica and Drew covered their smiles with their hands. "It was really hot out that night, okay? Let me go." Liam pleaded and Scott raised his eyebrows in question. "You sure you're okay?" he asked and Liam nodded.
"It won't happen again," Liam assured, making Scott nod. "You're in complete and total control?" he questioned and Liam nodded again, looking away before meeting his Alpha's eyes as he spoke. "Yeah. Complete and total."
After unchanging Liam, Scott dropped the chains into a duffle bag and picked it up, walking over to the jeep with Stiles and Jessica following. Drew stayed behind and glanced at Liam before getting off the ground and walking over to her friend. "You okay?"
Liam jerked, having not noticed that she stayed behind. The Parrish girl glanced at his hands before sighing softly and crossing her arms over her chest. "Show me your hands," she demanded in a stern tone. Liam hesitated for a second as he glanced around before opening his hands to reveal four freshly bleeding half-moon wounds on each one of his hands, all fingers covered in blood.
Drew cringed slightly at the sight and Liam closed his eyes once he noticed, his cheeks turning a light red. "Please don't tell them," Liam whispered, making her smile softly and grab one of his hands in hers. "I won't."
Their eyes met, both of them wearing small smiles on their faces. Drew took a deep breath before kissing his cheek and running off towards the jeep. Liam watched her run away, his cheeks a deep red color before he smiled and followed her.
π
A few minutes later they all sat in the jeep, Liam in the middle, hanging over Scott and Stiles' seats as he talked to them, Jessica on his right and Drew on his left. "Is it a party?" Liam questioned for surely the hundredth time, Jessica rolling her eyes together with Stiles. "It's not a party." Stiles dismissed making Liam sigh.
"Then what's at midnight?" he questioned, making Jessica groan. "If you don't shut up, tonight will be your death date," she warned making him sit down properly next to her. He sat still for about a second before hovering over Scott and Stiles' shoulder again. "Why aren't the girls going?"
Stiles glanced at the Beta through the rearview mirror, visibly annoyed at the younger boy's questions. "They're meeting us there, okay? And just stop asking questions or I'll help Jessica get away from the Sherrif's Department after she's killed you." Scott and Drew shared a glance, amused smiles on their faces as they listened to the other three's bickering.Β
"It's a Senior thing, okay? You'll know when you're a Senior." Stiles said, making Liam sigh. A hitting sound filled the car and Jessica leaned forwards to see Drew hitting her phone against everything she could find in the car. "You guys having trouble with your phones?" Scott spoke up, making Drew glare at the back of his head.
Jessica and Liam chuckled quietly as Stiles rolled his eyes at Scott's question. "I think Drew might be having trouble with her phone," Jessica stated and just as the words were out of her mouth, the jeep's engine started spluttering as the car slowly stopped.
"Oh, what the hell?" Stiles questioned, making Liam quirk an eyebrow. "You out of gas?" he questioned, making the Stilinski boy shake his head. "No, it's electrical. Probably the alternator again." Scott and Stiles left the car, leaving the three teens alone in the back of the jeep.
"I was wondering, how in God's name will Malia fit in the back with all of us?" Jessica asked, making Drew shrug. "I can sit in the front with Scott and Stiles?" she suggested and Jessica nodded in appreciation before lightning suddenly hit the ground not far away from the jeep. "Guys," Liam said, trying to catch the attention of Scott and Stiles.
When they got no response, the three teens shared a worried look before jerking slightly as another lighting hit the ground, this one closer than the other. "Guys!" Jessica shouted, making Stiles roll his eyes from outside of the car. "Yeah, give us a second, please," Stiles said and Scott leaned forwards to look at his sister in the car.
"Stay in the car, alright?" he asked, making her scoff and cross her arms. "He did not just tell me what to do, did he?" she questioned and Drew nodded before lighting struck again, this one nearly hitting Scott and Stiles. "Okay, that's it. Liam, turn the key." Jessica spoke up, making Liam get up and lean over the front seats to turn the key.
As soon as the key was fully turned, the engine started and Jessica stuck her head out the window to give the older teens a look. "Can we go now?" she asked and they nodded before getting in.
π
Pulling into the parking lot Malia was waiting for them, Jessica leaned forwards and honked, catching her girlfriend's attention. Their eyes connected and they smiled before Stiles drove away to park the car so Malia could get in.
Scott opened the door on his side and got out, knowing his sister was going to climb over him if he didn't. Jessica gave him a small smile before climbing out to meet her girlfriend. The McCall girl watched as Malia said something to her dad before running over, her new shortcut hair flying in the air.
"Hey, I'm sorry we're late. The jeep-" Jessica was interrupted by Malia planting her lips firmly but still gently on her own, the coyote cupping her cheeks. Their lips moved in sync for a moment before Stiles cleared his throat, obviously uncomfortable with the PDA they were showing.
Jessica pulled away and rolled her eyes before Liam stuck his head out the window, a goofy grin on his face. "I'm sorry too," he said, making everyone except Jessica chuckle as she raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, try anything and I'll kick you where the sun doesn't shine." she threatened, making Liam sink back into his seat.
Before anyone could get into the jeep, Mr. Tate walked over with a serious expression on his face. "You all do remember I own a gun right?" he asked, naming Stiles purse his lips and nod, Drew grinning from inside the car. "Vividly," Stiles said as Drew leaned out the window.
"I don't know if this makes you feel better but, I'll keep an eye on them," she said and Mr. Tate turned to her, an unconvinced look on his face. "That doesn't make me feel better," he stated, making her shrug and smile sheepishly.
"Well, I tried."
Jessica gasped dramatically when she saw a teeny-tiny smile appear on Mr. Tate's face and she put a hand over her heart. "Oh, my. Look at that. He smiles." she said and Malia shook her head chuckling as Mr. Tate winked teasingly before walking away.
After a few minutes, everyone was finally seated in the jeep, Drew squished in between Scott and Stiles as Jessica sat leaning against Malia, her head on the coyote's shoulder. Liam sat next to Jessica, trying to press his body as close to the door as possible so he wouldn't touch the McCall girl, her threat still clear in his head.
Scott and Stiles suddenly turned around to face Malia, making the other turn to her as well. The coyote looked up when she realized all eyes were on her and she raised her eyebrows. "What?" she questioned, and Jessica refrained from rolling her eyes, not wanting to ruin anything for her girlfriend.
"Did you find out yet?" Stiles asked, making Malia look down at her phone as Liam looked at her over Jessica's head. "Find out what?" he asked, only to get completely ignored. "They're gonna email me," Malia answered the Stilinski boy's question, and Drew smiled in excitement. "I'm sure you passed," she stated confidently and Malia offered her a smile as Liam frowned.Β
"Is this about summer school?"
Everyone except for Malia and Liam froze, staring at the Dunbar boy in disbelief as Malia glanced at everyone with creased eyebrows. "You told him?" she questioned, making them all shake their heads, Liam included.
"Oh, no, all they said was that you had to go to summer school 'cause the principal said your test scores weren't good enough and you might have to repeat junior year," Liam said confidently, making them all shut their eyes tightly. "We should have left him chained to the tree," Stiles stated and Jessica nodded in agreement.
"Oh, we definitely should have."
