Jessica's outfit
Drew, Jessica, Liam, and Mason walked into the club, all of them smiling widely once they saw the inside. The lights were flashing in a bunch of different colors, differently gendered strippers dancing in what looked like glass cages.
Liam glanced around nervously, Mason wearing a large grin on his face as he looked around. Drew and Jessica had their arms interlocked, the two keeping close to each other so they wouldn't get lost in the crowd.
"We don't look old enough to be here," Liam stated after exhaling nervously. Jessica smirked when she saw Brett dancing with a girl in the corner of the club, Mason noticing it as well. "Neither does he." the Hewitt boy pointed out, the grin seeming never wavering on his face.
Jessica took a few steps in, her heels clicking each time they hit the floor. "So, is this club mixed?" Liam questioned, making Jessica shrug slightly. "Ish," she said as Brett suddenly started dancing with a shirtless boy instead.
π
Jessica and Mason made their way over to Brett, both of them smiling as he noticed them. "Jessica, hey. I haven't seen you since you saved me from an assassin in the bathroom," he yelled over the music, making her roll her eyes jokingly.
"A little louder, Brett. I don't think that guy on the other side of the room quite heard what you shouted." she teased and he chuckled as Mason grinned next to them. Jessica took a seat next to Brett on the leather couch as Mason remained standing next to them.
The Talbot boy grinned at Jessica, a suggestive smile on his face. "You still got a girlfriend?" he questioned and the McCall girl scrunched her nose up in disgust. "Yup, and I am totally gay by the way," she told him, pushing his face away from her with her hand.
Brett chuckled at her actions, handing both her and Mason a shot as he took his own. "You're feisty," he told her and she smiled in amusement. "And you're an even bigger ass since last I saw you." And with that, all three of them clinked their glasses together, throwing the shot down.
Mason coughed slightly, making Jessica smirk as Brett laughed. "Holy crap, that's strong." the Hewitt boy said between coughs, a grin covering his face. He turned to his friend, his eyebrows rising in confusion. "Don't you think so, Jess?" he questioned, making her shrug slightly.
"Meh, I've had stronger." her statement made Brett nod, an amused smile on his face. "Let me guess, at the bonfire?" he asked and she clicked her tongue, winking jokingly. "Yup." Mason chuckled at the pair, taking a seat on the other side of Brett when the shirtless guy left.
"You look hot by the way." the Talbot boy stated, his eyes looking over what Jessica was wearing. The McCall girl shook her head, sighing in amusement. "I know. I would say the same, but lying is wrong."
The two kept bickering back and forth like that, taking an occasional shot with Mason who was flirting with a random guy next to them.
A few feet away from them, Drew stood next to Liam, giving him a worried look when he zoned out. "What's wrong?" she asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. She ignored the butterflies she got in her stomach at the action, Liam snapping out of it.
"I felt something," he stated, making her frown, her hand still on his shoulder. "Felt what?" she asked and he paused for a second before answering. "Something supernatural." Drew removed her hand from his shoulder, missing the displeased look that formed on his face as she did so.
The Parrish girl closed her eyes, focusing all her senses on the sounds around them. She stood like that for a few moments before opening her now orange eyes. Liam's eyes widened as he pulled her close, trying to shield the sight from anyone around them.
The orange color slowly faded away and Drew looked up at Liam, her cheeks turning red as she noticed their close proximity. Clearing her throat, she pulled away from him, his cheeks just as red as hers.
"I felt it too," she told him, and he nodded slightly before grabbing her hand, leading her toward Brett.
π
"No, I didn't catch anything," Brett told Liam as he looked around the room. Drew stood next to them, keeping an arm around a slightly drunk Jessica. "No one else in here's like us?" the Dunbar boy questioned, Jessica suddenly starting to laugh hysterically.
"Duuude. Chill out. Have a drink or something." she said, her words slightly slurred as she leaned her head against Drew's shoulder. Brett chuckled from behind her before turning back to Liam. "I don't know, dude. Maybe. It's Beacon Hills. What's the difference?"
Drew turned her head to the Talbot boy, looking up at him since he was more than one head taller than her. "It felt different," she told him, Liam nodding in agreement to her words as Jessica blew some of her short hair out of her eyes.
Brett frowned at Drew's statement, his face full of confusion. "What do you mean?" he asked, making Liam shrug from next to her. "It felt off. It felt wrong." Brett patted Liam's shoulder as the younger boy walked away, smirking as he noticed Drew staring at him.
"Shoot your shot," he said, making the Parrish girl frown. "What?" she questioned and Brett chuckled. "Well, you obviously like him, so, shoot your shot." Jessica nodded rapidly at his words, a big grin on her face.
"Yeah, Drew! Shoot your shot." she prolonged the 'O's a lot longer than necessary, Brett shaking his head in amusement. "You're drunk," Drew told her best friend who only scoffed in denial. "Pfft, no I'm not."
She went to take a step forwards but ended up falling straight into Brett. "Yeah, you are so drunk."
π
Jessica stood leaning against Drew in the corner of the club, the McCall girl barely able to keep her eyes open due to both the alcohol and the exhaustion. Drew smiled in amusement when her best friend suddenly started rambling about soccer, Malia, and her work at the video store.
The Parrish girl didn't mind as she pretended to be interested, nodding along to Jessica's words every now and then even if she didn't have a clue as to what the brown-eyed brunette was talking about.
Looking out over the crowd and tuning the McCall girl's voice out, Drew frowned when she noticed Liam walking up to them, an urgent expression on his face. Without a word, he reached out and grabbed onto Drew's arm, dragging her after him as he started walking.
The Parrish girl stumbled slightly, quietly wrapping an arm around Jessica's waist to keep her steady as they walked. "Uh, Liam? Where are we going?" Drew inquired, the Dunbar boy barely sparing her a glance as they pushed through the crowd.
"I was right!" was all he said, as he kept leading them to the other side of the dance floor. Everywhere around them, sweaty teenagers danced, some of them having discarded their shirts. Drew refrained from gagging when she was led past a shirtless pair, the man reeking with sweat-covered cologne as the woman was surrounded by a thick cloud of sweet-smelling perfume.
Liam bumped into at least a dozen people as he tried to make a path through the groups of people, a small 'sorry' leaving his lips every now and then. Jessica, who was starting to sober up by now, started feeling nauseous by the flashing lights and the amount of alcohol she had consumed. She had to refrain from puking every time her head hit someone's arm.
Once the trio finally reached the other side of the club, Jessica was looking quite green. That, however, went unnoticed by the other two as they hurried through a beaded curtain, rushing to help Brett fight a boy named Lucas.
Mason, who stood pressed against a wall, a fearful expression covering his face, noticed Jessica swaying to the music just a couple of feet away from him. He took a deep breath before reaching out and grabbing her hand, pulling her through the beaded curtain as well.
The McCall girl jumped in fright when the dark-skinned boy's hand wrapped around her wrist, however, she calmed down once she noticed it was just Mason. Jessica grinned slightly at her friend, the Hewitt boy giving her an uncertain look as he noticed the green hue covering her normally tanned skin.
"Are you alright?" he yelled over the music, receiving a small nod from the McCall girl. But before she could answer, Scott and Kira emerged through the beaded curtain, both of them immediately rushing into action as Brett pulled himself over to the two humans.
Jessica grimaced as she noticed the wound on his abdomen, her hand unconsciously touching the multiple scars on her stomach. Brett noticed her expression, a teasing smirk growing on his face as Mason pressed his hands against the wound.
"What? You get squeamish around blood?" he inquired and she rapidly shook her head, regretting it just seconds after when she started feeling dizzy. "No! I'm just feeling incredibly nauseous and don't feel like puking into your wound."
Mason scrunched his nose up in disgust topic of discussion, but before he could speak, their attention was turned toward the fight.
Liam had just knocked Lucas to the ground, the buzzcut boy transforming back to normal again. Kira suddenly took a step forward, the fiery orange silhouette of a fox, yet again surrounding her as her eyes glowed orange.
The kitsune suddenly ran towards Lucas, the sword twirling around in her hands as she yelled in Japanese. Her hands rose over her head, the sword ready to cut the unconscious boy in half, Jessica clutching Mason's shoulder tightly in her hand as she leaned against the wall.
"Kira!" Scott yelled before leaping forwards, his hand wrapping around her wrist before the sword could touch Lucas. Kira glared at Scott for only a moment before the orange silhouette disappeared, her eyes returning to normal.
The kitsune let her arms fall slack, a confused expression covering her face as everyone stared at her in shock. Jessica let go of Mason's shoulder, the Hewitt boy exhaling in relief as the pain from her strong grip vanished.
"Is everyone okay?" Scott asked, looking around the room in worry. "No. I'm nauseous as hell." Jessica whined, her brother rolling his eyes as everyone else shook their heads. Scott glanced down at Lucas, eyes widening slightly as he noticed the buzzcut boy's fingers twitching.
"We need to get him out of here. Liam, give me a hand," he called out, the Beta immediately hurrying over. But before they could lift him, an arrow attached to a wire went through the young boy's chest, his body falling slack. Liam backed away from the body, his back colliding with the wall Drew was standing next to.
Drew let out a shocked noise as the arrow was drawn back, everyone turning their attention towards three leather-clad figures, all of them wearing masks. "Malia was telling the truth," Jessica mumbled, her words going unnoticed by everyone.
"Why did you do that?" Scott asked, his voice desperate. "His condition was terminal." a voice clicked, the hair on the back of Jessica's neck rising as chills went through her body. "What does that mean?" the McCall boy shouted, everyone else remaining quiet due to fright and shock.
The leather-clad figures turned around and started walking away, Scott growing more and more desperate for an answer by the second. "What does that mean?" he shouted yet again, Drew burying her face in the crock of Liam's neck for comfort. The Dunbar boy let a small blush form on his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around the blue-eyed girl, the two taking comfort in each other.
The masked people turned around, the clicking sound surrounding them creeping everyone out. "Failure." one of them answered to Scott's question and the McCall boy furrowed his eyebrows. Sparks suddenly shot out from the place the men were standing, all of them literally disappearing in smoke.
Everyone glanced around, Jessica exhaling in either relief or worry. She didn't quite know. As if the situation couldn't get any worse than it already was, the sound of footsteps caught the group's attention.
Scott turned around, his jaw falling open as he noticed a pretty shaken-up Acindina walk out from her hiding spot. A frightened expression covered her face, eyebrows furrowed together in slight confusion. She took a deep breath before speaking four words.
"Holy mother of God."
