Jessica sat down in Drew's room again, something she hadn't done in a while now. When she thought about it, she hadn't had time to really hang out with her best friend anymore and she felt guilty about it.

Drew on the other hand, also felt guilty. But not about them not hanging out together, but her reasons for breaking up with Stiles and her sudden decision of visiting her 'cousins'.ย

The two girls stared at each other, both of them sitting like they were made of stone on the bed. Even tho the bed was average-sized, Jessica had never thought it was smaller than she did at that moment.

"So..." Drew broke the silence. None of them had realized their lack of time together had damaged their relationship on that level, the meeting at the airport seemed so normal. "We have to talk."ย

Jessica frowned at the seriousness in her best friend's voice and dreed immediately filled her veins. All the stress with the dead pool and Malia suddenly wanting to find her mother with no other than Peter, came crashing down on her shoulders.

Even if she acted tough and seemed 'fine' she was just a girl. And a very fragile one. So the brunette looked at her best friend once more before she finally just broke into tears. "I'm sorry." she cried desperately.

Drew's eyes widened at her reaction but wasted no time in embracing her best friend. The blue-eyed brunette hugged the brown-eyed one closely, hating that she didn't know why the seemingly tough girl suddenly just broke down.

"I've been a horrible friend, a terrible sister, a disaster girlfriend, and worst of all, I haven't seen Star Wars in months!" Jessica wailed and Drew smiled sadly, finding it humorous that her best friend thought about her favorite movie in her devastated state.

If there was one thing Jessica hated, it was not watching her favorite movie series. Ever since she was a kid and Stiles had made her watch the Star Wars movies, she had loved them and if anyone tried to stop her from watching them, they would be starting a fight they couldn't win.

"You haven't been a terrible friend," Drew assured the crying teen as she stroked her dark brown curls with her hand. "I've been the bad friend. I lied to you. I didn't go visit my cousin's and I had a pretty good reason for breaking up with Stiles."

Jessica wiped her teary cheeks and turned to Drew with a questioning expression on her tanned face. "Then where did you go and why did you break up with Stiles. You were obsessed with him for years."

Drew hesitated with her answers, afraid she might hurt, offend or scare her best friend. Jessica saw the slight fear in the blue-eyed girl's eyes, and she intertwined their fingers in a comforting manner.

"Well, I learned something about myself. And when I mean learned I mean I had a bad day and when I got home my hand erupted into flames. But the worst part is, my eyes! My pretty blue eyes turned orange! Almost like they also were on fire." she rambled and Jessica rose an eyebrow, both in amusement and in question.

"So where did you go?" Jessica asked and Drew got that special little twinkle in her eyes like she always did when she was excited. "I went to South America to talk to Cora! Turns out, my brother isn't the only one who tolerates fire. I'm a Fire Serpent! Awesome right?" Drew exclaimed and Jessica frowned.

She had read the entire bestiary and never read anything about a 'Fire Serpent' but she guessed it had to do with fire and snakes. "So, what can you do?" she asked making Drew stand up. "I'll show you."

Drew stood in the middle of her room with her eyes closed, when suddenly, her hands erupted into flames. She opened her eyes to reveal her usually sky blue eyes now bright fiery orange. Her hair flowed behind her in an orange tone, making it look like it was on fire.

"Wow." Jessica breathed in awe as Drew transformed back. Jessica had never been so astonished in her entire life. To say she was amazed was an understatement. Drew smiled at her best friend's reaction as she sat down on the bed again.

Never in a hundred years had she imagined her best friend to be so chill about it. But then again, her brother was a True Alpha.

"I have something to tell you as well," Jessica said and Drew nodded encouragingly. "I knew you were something supernatural. Your name is on the third part of the dead pool." Drew's eyes widened and she looked down at her hands.

"How much am I worth?" she quietly asked ad Jessica sighed. "Seven million," she answered,ย  and Drew slowly smiled. "I'm worth more than Jordan?" she questioned and Jessica sent her a small grin.

"Yup, by two million." Drew got up from the bed and made a little victory dance before smirking. "Hey, Jordan? I'm worth more than you! Suck it, loser!" she shouted and they could soon hear a lowly chuckling coming from the kitchen.

After dancing for a few more minutes Drew threw herself onto the bed, nearly crushing Jessica in the progress.

"So why did you break up with Stiles. In your own words, he was the 'man of your dreams.'" Jessica reminded and Drew closed her eyes and pursed her lips. "You're never gonna let this go but, I kinda have a crush on Liam. It didn't feel right to be together with Stiles when I had feelings towards someone else." Jessica's eyes widened in both surprise and excitement.

"Oh my god, you're gonna get married and have small Wolf Snake children!" she exclaimed making Drew sigh before realization crossed over her face. She knew just the topic to make her best friend forget about her new crush.

"So, how's Malia?" she asked as she hid her smirk. Jessica immediately started rambling on about her relationship with the Were-Coyote before she stopped with an offended look on her face as she realized what Drew had done.

"Hey, no fair!"

And so started the usual ramblings Parrish always hated hearing when the two girls hung out together. He only hoped they would start watching Star Wars soon instead. At least that was bearable listening to.

As soon as Jessica got home, her mother pulled her in for a tight hug. The younger girl didn't know why but she felt comforted by her mother's presence. Melissa smiled at her daughter as she pulled away.

"It's late, you need to get to bed. Your room may be a bit cold, the window's been open all day since someone forgot to close it." Jessica didn't miss how her mother glared at the ceiling at the space Scott's room was and she chuckled.

Jessica walked up to her room and changed into her pyjamas as she thought over her day. It had mostly gone as she thought when Parrish found out about the supernatural and she was glad she was able to calm him down.

Footsteps could be heard in the corridor and Jessica knew it was her mother before the door opened. "Sleep," Melissa said in a spooky voice and Jessica couldn't help but smile. "I'm serious, hun. You've got school tomorrow."

Melissa closed the window before walking over to the door. "I love you, you know?" she said and Jessica smiled. "I know. I love you too."

Two hours later, Jessica lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling with a permanent frown on her face. Her avocado pyjamas clung to her body like a second skin and she knew, she would soon have to say goodbye to the comfortable sleeping wear.ย

The room was slightly chilled due to the window that had been previously open and she felt relieved that her mother had closed it. And even tho that was nearly two hours ago, Jessica could feel goosebumps forming on her tanned skin.

She had never been one to handle cold and easily developed goosebumps. It could be the slightest breeze in the air and she would pull her clothes closer to her body. The rest of the pack found it strange how she so easily got cold, but she paid no mind to them.

Things were back to normal with Drew but she was worried her girlfriend might never talk to the pack again.

She knew hiding Malia's true origins were stupid but Scott and Stiles did it for her own good. They were afraid Peter would slinger his way into her brain and lure her into all his evil bullshit and quite franking, Jessica was worried as well.

A clanking sound could suddenly be heard from her window and Jessica looked over at it to find Malia. Jessica quickly got up from her bed and opened the window for the Coyote, a smile now taking over her pretty features.

The cold air hit Jessica's bare skin hard due to her only wearing shorts and a crop too. She grinned her teeth and slightly slammed her window closed.

As soon as Malia's feet hit the ground, Jessica pulled her in for a simple, but passionate kiss. Malia's shocked gasp was muffled by Jessica's lips on hers and she quickly kissed the younger girl back.

"What was that for?" she asked after they had pulled away. Jessica smiled sheepishly as she sat down on the bed, Malia joining her soon after. "I missed you," she stated and Malia smiled at the girl she adored before connecting their lips again.

She would maybe even say, love. But their relationship had nearly just started and she didn't want to scare the human girl away. As long as she got to be close to the McCall girl, she was happy. But little did she know, Jessica felt the same way.

Both in the love part and the scaring away. So both girls decided to say nothing for now. They were waiting on the right opportunity and hopefully, it would come. Sooner rather than later.

"Can we sleep now?" Jessica asked, already feeling all the overwhelming thoughts in her head disappear due to the older girl's presence. Malia nodded and both of them curled up together under the blankets.

They laid there in silence, Jessica's back against Malia's chest as they listened to each other's breaths. It was comforting to know, that even if they had all the pressure of the pack and Peter on their backs, they still had those small moments they could cherish.

Those moments were it felt like they were all alone in the world.

Drew, Jessica, and Mason all stood by the locker waiting for Liam who had yet to show. Jessica checked the time on her phone worriedly for the fourth time when Drew suddenly sighed in relief.

Jessica looked over at the door to see Liam walking in. She didn't miss how he looked around like at any given time, someone would attack straight out of the blue. The three friends shared a worried glance before walking over to their seemingly distressed friend.

"Hey, Liam! We'll be seeing you at the bonfire tonight, right?" Mason asked, pooping Liam out of his bubble. Liam shook his head slightly before answering. "Uh... I'm thinking about skipping it," he answered, making Drew's face morph into horror.

"You're what?! You can't skip it!" she exclaimed. "Why not?" Liam asked way too fast, making Jessica frown. "Dude, you're on the lacrosse team. Don't you have to go?" she asked and he shrugged.

"I don't, uh..." Liam trailed off as he looked to the right, looking at something only he could see. Jessica snapped her fingers in front of his face, making him look at them again. "I- I don't think I can make it." he stuttered slightly and Mason shook his head.

"You're coming. And we're gonna find you a nice girl-" Jessica noticed a look of hurt flashing over Drew's face but she quickly covered it with a smile. "-that you can embarrass yourself in front of and find me a lacrosse player." Mason said and Jessica scoffed.

"As long as it isn't Stiles or my brother, I can help you with that. I know everyone on the team," she announced and Mason looked at her with heart eyes. "My savior. Someone on the lacrosse team has to be on my team, statistically speaking."

Drew chuckled at his words before she noticed Liam glancing around in fear. Her newfound powers made it easier to know what others were feeling and all she felt from the young boy, was pure fear. "Liam?" she softly asked and he snapped his head in her direction.

"Okay, I'll be there!" he exclaimed before stomping off. "What's up with him?" Mason asked and Jessica shrugged. "Steriods?" she asked and Drew burst out laughing. "Steriods?" Jessica looked offended at her outburst and Mason chuckled.

"What? The athletes do it all the time!"
