"Is it too tight?" Jessica asks as she fastens the chains around Malia's wrists.
"Tighter," Malia says and looks at the younger teen with her werewolf eyes. Jessica does as Malia said and tightens them before getting off the floor and backing away. "You could leave if you want." Malia states and Jessica smiles at her.
"I'm not going anywhere. And to be honest, I'm probably safer down here than in a party with 50 freshmen and a very pissed of Lydia." Jessica states and sits down on a chair she found in the basement. Malia and Jessica look up at the ceiling as the music gets louder.
A few minutes later Malia starts pulling on the chains to get to Jessica. The younger teen backs back a bit so she doesn't get scratched.
"Jessica, please go." Malia pants as she fights against the full moon.
"No, I'm not going anywhere. And I don't like parties. It's a social anxiety thing. You ever had a panic attack?" Jessica asks in hope of distracting Malia from the moon.
"I'm having one now," Malia replies as she tries to get out of the chains. Malia grunts as she tries to scratch Jessica.
"Just breathe, okay? I'm not going to leave you." Jessica tells the coyote.
"What if I hurt you?" Malia asks and Jessica smiles.
"You're not going to," Jessica says in a calm voice.
"But I want to. I look at your face and I want to slash at it. I want to tear at it." Malia tells the younger girl. "I want to feel your bones crack between my hands."
"Surprisingly enough, you're not the first person to ever say something like that," Jessica tells the older girl. Malia growls as she tries to get out of the chains. "I'm not leaving you. And I'm not going to let you hurt anyone." Jessica says firmly. Malia tries to get out of the chains again and the leather starts ripping apart.
"You're not going to have a choice." Malia states as Jessica backs away. Malia pulls again but this time one of her hands gets free. She tries to pull her other hand free from the chains whilst she tries to scratch Jessica with the other.
"Okay, Malia, I know you can hear me. Just listen to my voice." Jessica tries to calm her down.
"Listen to mine," Malia growls as she tries to pull her other hand free. "Run!" Malia exclaims as she pulls at the chains. Jessica stares at Malia without moving as the coyote snarls.
"I'm not going to run. Because I don't think you're going to hurt me. And I think that maybe you're so afraid of hurting me because of what you did to your family." Jessica says as she slowly walks closer. I don't know what that's like, Malia. But Stiles does. He told me that he remembers everything he did as the nogitsune. And the worst part is that he remembers liking it. Because he felt powerful. He felt fearless. And most of all, in control. But when he came through it, he learned something else... Control is overrated." Jessica tells her as she unlocks the chains.
Malia growls as she tries to attack, but Jessica holds her with a determined face. Malia's head falls down as she pants and she looks at her hands. The claws were gone. Jessica smiles as Malia looks up at her again.
"You did it." Jessica softly says as she pushes some of Malia's hair out of her face. Malia hugs Jessica tight and she hugs her back. "You did it," Jessica whispers in her ear with a smile. Malia pulls away from the hug and softly connects their lips with a smile on her face.
"I did it," Malia repeats into the kiss.

Lydia stands in front of the canvas holding a pen in her hand with Malia hovering over her left shoulder and Jessica over her right. Just as Lydia was going to put the pen on the canvas Jessica leans closer.
"Please stop hovering!" Lydia snaps, making Jessica jump away in surprise. "We're not hovering. We're waiting." Jessica defends and Malia nods.
"Draw something. Write something. We need to know who else is on that list." Malia states and Lydia sighs.
"You mean, you need to know if you're on the list." Lydia corrects her.
"If someone's coming to take my head off, then, yeah, I'd like to know," Malia says as she and Jessica continue to hover over Lydia's shoulders. Lydia continues to have the pe over the canvas and Malia leans closer again.
"Can you two please just sit down? You're making me nervous." Lydia states and Jessica checks the time.
"I would love to stay and continue to hover over your shoulder, Lydia, but my class starts in three minutes. I'll see you two later." Jessica says and starts walking. Malia grabs Jessica's wrist and pulls the younger girl into her chest, kissing her gently on the lips. Jessica's eyes were wide in shock before she kissed back.
"I'm expecting details later!" Lydia shouts after Jessica as she leaves the room. "You better not break her heart," Lydia tells Malia with a wary look on her face.
"I wasn't planning on it," Malia bitterly states as she sits down on a chair

"Ah, my favorite student." Ms. Flemming sarcastically says as Jessica walks into the classroom. Liam frowns at the sarcasm in her voice and looks at Drew.
"They don't really get along," Drew whispers to Liam who nods in response.
"My favorite teacher and subject in the same room!" Jessica says with fake enthusiasm as she sits down next to Liam. She sends him a small smile which he returns before pulling out her phone from her pocket. She starts playing Candy Crush, blocking out Ms. Flemming's voice in the progress.
"Jessica?" Ms. Flemming asks and she looks up from her phone. "Solve the problem on the board," she says and Jessica notices Liam trying to solve another problem on the board as she walks up to it. Liam sighs, making Jessica look at him with an amused smile.
"What?" he asks her and she chuckles.
"Switch places on the 4 and 8," she whispers and Liam sends her a thank full smile. "Math's not your strongest side?" she questions and he shakes his head.
"Not by a long shot," Liam answers and Jessica walks away from the board with a smirk on her face. Liam looks at her already solved problem and groans loudly. Jessica sits down at her desk and continues playing Candy Crush.
A few minutes later Jessica groans loudly.
"Damn it!" she exclaims, making Ms. Flemming look at her.
"Jessica, would you like to tell us why you said that?" Ms. Flemming asks her and she nods.
"Gladly, I just lost all my lives in Candy Crush and now I have to wait 14 hours until I can try level 482 again," Jessica explains, and some of the students chuckle.
"Jessica, I know you're smarter than an average student, but you have to participate in the lessons." Ms. Flemming scolds and Jessica sighs. "Stay after class," she says and Jessica nods.
Once the bell rings signaling math was over Jessica does as she's told and stays after class.
"Jessica, you have to participate in the lessons to get more advanced tasks. Otherwise, I can't recommend you to Ms. Finch so that you get bumped up to AP biology next year." Ms. Flemming admits and Jessica's eyes widen.
"I'll participate just please recommend me to get into AP biology. I need it." Jessica pleads and Ms. Flemming nods.
"I'll see what I can do." Ms. Flemming states and Jessica hugs her.
"Thank you," she whispers before leaving the classroom. When she got out in the corridor, Liam and Mason rushed by her. She quickly catches up to them and follows them.
"Liam, Wait. What, no, no, no, no. Liam." Mason tries to get his best friend to stop walking but he continues towards the Devenford Prep bus.
"Brett," Liam shouts as he walks up to a long brown-haired guy coming out of the bus.
"Ah, here we go," Mason says and Jessica frowns. "His old school?" she asks and Mason nods. "Yup," he replies as they follow Liam towards Brett. The two boys glare at each other before Liam speaks.
"I just wanted to say..." Liam starts as he breaths heavily. "Have a good game." Liam continues and holds his hand out for Brett to shake. The Devenford Prep team starts laughing and Jessica clenches her jaw.
"That's cute, Liam. Is that what they told you to say in Anger Management? Apologize and everything's fine?" Brett mocks and Jessica notices Drew, Scott, and Stiles a bit back watching the scene in front of them. "You demolished Coach's car." Brett reminds the younger boy.
"I paid for it," Liam says through gritted teeth. He was getting angry.
"Yeah, you're going to pay for it. We're gonna break you in half out there. And it's gonna be all you're fault." Brett says and Jessica walks forwards as she sees blood slip through Liam's clenched fist.
"Liam, let's go," Jessica tells him and Brett looks her up and down.
"Aw, does your girlfriend always fight your battles for you?" Brett asks and Jessica chuckles.
"I'm not his girlfriend," she states and Brett smirks. "So you're single? Can I take you out?" he asks and she shakes her head.
"I'm not allowed to date you," she replies and he chuckles.
"You're not allowed to choose who you're dating?" Brett asks and she shakes her head.
"Nope, I have one protective brother, his best friend, my best friend in France, my mom, two father figures, and a girl I'm dating." Jessica lists up to him and he looks shocked. "I have a few more if you want me to keep going," she tells him with a fake smile as Stiles and Scott walk up to them to pull Liam away.
"Whoa, whoa whoa, let's go and Jessie?" Scott looks at his sister. "What?" she asks him with an innocent smile. "We're talking about that "girl you're dating" later," he warns her and she smiles at Brett.
"Meet protective brother and his best friend." Jessica introduces them.
"Hey, what's going on prep students? Welcome to our little public High School. How you doing?" Stiles says and holds out his hand for Brett to shake. When he doesn't shake Stiles's hand Jessica sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose. "Stiles. That's a firm handshake you got there. Uh, we're very excited for the scrimmage tonight. Uh, but let's keep it clean, all right?" Stiles continues.
"Stiles, I don't think they know how to "Keep it clean" Jessica whispers to Stiles.
"No, rough stuff out there. All right, see you on the field." Stiles finishes and hurries away with Jessica and Scott. Jessica kicks the door to the boy's locker room open and runs in to start a shower. When the water starts running Scott, Drew, and Stiles push a growling Liam in under the beam.
After a few seconds, they pull him out again. "Okay, you calm yet?" Stiles asks Liam. He roars in response and Jessica and Drew help them push him in under the water beam again.
"Okay! Okay!" Liam shouts under the water. He pants as Stiles turns off the shower again. Liam sinks to the floor whilst Stiles leans against a wall.
"That car you smashed. I thought you said it was your teacher's." Scott says as he looks at Liam. "He was also my Coach. He benched me for the entire season." Liam answers and looks down on his lap.
"What did you do?" Scott asks, afraid of the answer. "I got a couple of red cards," Liam mumbles in shame.
"Just a couple?" Stiles asks as Scott crouches down in front of Liam. "You gotta be honest with us," Scott tells his beta in a soft tone. "What else happened?" Scott asks him.
"Nothing!" Liam exclaims and they all give him a look. "I got kicked out of school. They sent me to a psychologist for evaluation." Liam admits to them.
"What did they call it?" Scott inquires and Liam looks up at him before answering. "Intermittent Explosion Disorder," Liam replies to his alpha.
"I.E.D.?" Jessica asks and looks at Liam. "You're literally an I.E.D.? That's great." Stiles says and Jessica glares at him. "That's great. You gave superpowers to a walking time bomb." Stiles sarcastically remarks and gives Scott a thumbs up.
"Did they give you anything for it?" Scott questions Liam. "Risperdal. It's an antipsychotic." Liam replies.
"Oh, this just gets better," Stiles says and Jessica flicks his head.
"But I don't take it," Liam says and Stiles chuckles. "Obviously." Stiles claps his hands together as he speaks.
"I can't play lacrosse on it. It makes me too tired." Liam says and Stiles sighs. "Okay. I think you should bail out of the game. Tell Coach your leg is still hurting." Scott tells him and Liam quickly gets up from the floor.
"No, no!" Liam protests. "I can do this. Especially if you're there." Liam tells them and Stiles runs his hands down his face.
"But, Liam, it's not just about the game. We think whoever killed Demarco might be on our team." Scott explains and Jessica and Liam frown.
"Who's Demarco?" Jessica asks them. "The one who brought the beer to the party. The guys who were beheaded. Remember?" Drew replies.
"We think the person who ordered the keg killed Demarco," Scott says and Liam looks down. "Liam?" Scott asks and Liam looks away. "What, you know something?" Scott questions him.
"I don't know who ordered the keg. But I know who paid for it."
