Chapter 04 - Running Away
The air filled with my panting voices. I gripped the street light pole to catch my breath. The large bag of mine was giving me terrible back pain. But I couldn't stop running, not at that moment.
I was a wanted person, I was named as a wanted criminal of the group of terrorists that everyone feared. And even worse, I was a wanted person to the Gambino rebels as well. You ask why?
Because I committed a murder, I killed one of the leaders, the elder brother of Beom Hyeon, I killed Beom Seok.
I kneeled, dropping my bag on the ground. The dim lights of the street were almost faded. The orange colour street light in the dark light made the surroundings look dull. The murk that coated me gave me chills. Everything looked scary.
I have nowhere to run away,
Suddenly a sob escaped from me. I was holding it for too long. The pain, the fear, the anxiety...I was holding everything for so long. Even on that cold night, sweat tickled down my forehead. I have never been shocked that tremendously before.
Everything that happened in the past hour was playing in my head. Beom Seok's body with the pair of scissors tangled in his neck was fallen in the pool of blood. The yowl of his true blood brother, Beom Hyeon was ringing in my eardrums. Those bloody eyes of Beom Seok were staring at me with vexation while resting his head on his brother's lap. The red patches were covering all of us. Through all he forced a smirk at me, his dreadful orbs gave me a Willie. I was frozen on my spot, not able to recover from the shock. It took me a few solid minutes to perceive what I did.
"You will pay your price Park Y/n,"
Those were his last words before his head lifelessly fell on Beom Hyeon's lap. The younger one was shocked by the sudden bombshell. His cheeks were wet with tears, it was the first time I saw him like this. The strongest rebel was crying in front of his twin brother's dead body. His tears stopped as he spotted me, glued to my place. That's when I came back to my senses.
I ran as fast as I could, I ran without looking back even I heard the terrifying cursing voices from behind. From that moment to this moment, I was running without a break. I barely had time to grab the emergency bag I prepared just in case.
My tears didn't stop, I couldn't hold them back any longer. What am I going to do? Is there any way I can make it back to my hometown? Will, they even accept me if they know what I have got myself into? Should I contact Jimin? But it was too dangerous, I'll be risking his life too.
I wiped my tears away from my shirt and stood on my feet. I swung my bag on my shoulders and continued jogging in the path ahead of me. There's only one way,
I have to run away so that no one can ever find me. I have to go somewhere where no one knows that Park Y/n exists. To a place, I can forget my past and start a new life. That would be the only chance of surviving this hectic chaos.
I kept walking till I met the familiar-looking building. I was careful to lurk in the shadows because either Beom Hyeon or the police will come for me at any moment. The night was quiet, maybe little extra quiet. That tranquillity made me shudder with both fear and agitation. I blew cold air puffs to keep myself warm while rubbing my hands against my arms.
"High Dive Bar, Opened 24/7 " the LED lights lit up the board in front. I sneaked to the back door and knocked. I didn't have to wait long for a response since it was late night and there were only a few customers. The young masculine's eyebrows raised with astounding as he saw me.
"Y/n, what are you doing here?" I placed my hand over his mouth, making him muffle.
"Let me in first, I'll explain," I whispered to his ears. He nodded as he perceived what I said. He slowly crack opened the door and let me glide through. I dragged him to the room inside.
"What's all this about noona? What's going on?"
"Yeonjun, listen carefully, you may never see me again..."
"What?" his jaws dropped as I said. Yeonjun was like my little brother. He was one of my closest friends here, he would do anything for me, Yeonjun was one of the people I cherished and genuinely cared for. Now I have to leave him as well, probably for his own good.
I heaved a deep sigh.
"Noona, tell me, please," I saw his eyes filling with tears. I held his hand and enfolded it between mine.
"I want one last favour from you. Can I count on you?" I could see his face was filling with glumness. I saw the pain twitching his face. It made me feel even more miserable. He acquiesced.
"Ask me anything."

The young man inhaled the fresh salty air. It gave him a pleasant feeling. He was nervous but also he was excited. Out of all, he was proud of himself for being the Co-captain of the to be sailed ship, the ship everyone was talking about these days.
Titanic.
The biggest and most luxurious ship that was ever invented. And then the biggest tourist sail that will ever happen in the past century. The glorious queen was able to carry over three thousand passengers on her. The newly painted silver colour bars glimmered even though it was past midnight.
It was tomorrow, tomorrow at this time they will be sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.
A smile crept to his face. His parents were so proud the day they saw him in that decent uniform. His skills and determination brought him to another level. He was a golden star among the others. The youngest captain yet he was chosen as the recruit for the crew.
"Can't sleep?" An older man placed a hand on his shoulder. Both of them were leaning on the bars of the dock. He chuckled.
"Kind of, I'm a little nervous about tomorrow."
"For what kido? Don't stress about it, here, have some," he handed him the glass of whiskey which was in his hand. Jungkook accepted the offer. He gulped down the strong liquid and wetted his lips with his tongue.
"Feel better eh?" He chuckled and stared at the horizon. Jungkook nodded as a response
"Thank you hyung," he too fixed his eyes on the deep blue ocean. It's where he was raised, where he lived, where he loved. The ocean was part of his life. Ever since his parents brought him to America from his hometown Busan, he was grown up there.
Jeon Jungkook, that small boy who loved the ocean waves was now a captain that fights the sea and sails across the ocean.
"She's gorgeous isn't she?" The older one said, glancing at the ship nearby, with a smile curved on his lips. Jungkook hummed, looking at the dazzling letters that are painted "Titanic". Tomorrow he will be on that ship, sailing it. It's going to make history.
"I envy you," he sniggered as the other one said.
"For what Jin hyung?"
"Because you get to sail on it while I'm stuck in my apartment with paperwork." He spat out and gulped his drink. The other guy laughed at Seokjin's attitude.
"Let me give you a treat, drinks and food on me, what do you say?" Jungkook crept his hand to the elder's shoulder. He responded with a smirk.
"So a yes?"
"Of course."
Two of them left the cold dock and headed towards the High Dive Bar, which was twenty-four hours open, they had the best wine in the whole town.
That night was about to change the destiny of two people who crossed different paths.
