Golden drops of ombre leak through the cracks of Butterfly Mansion's windows. In one of the many large rooms, laid Miu Kamiyama. It was early morning, everyone was asleep. Except Miu. Miu liked to start her days bright and early. Her room gave her the best view of the surrounding woods, and she liked to look outside now and then. The rambunctious teen rised from her futon and carefully opened her shoji. The door creaked, causing Miu to suck the air through her teeth, repeatedly checking if anyone heard.
Once she made sure she was in the clear, she made her way to the beautiful waterfall behind the mansion. The trees hung over the waterfall and the medium pool it made at the bottom. Kneeling down by the pool's bank, Miu carefully observed as a single, purple wisteria petal fell from the bud and landed on the water's surface. The way it so cautiously hit the water was mindblowing, falling with the biggest of grace, and only making one tiny ripple.
Miu knew she wasn't like a wisteria petal. She knew she was peculiar and ugly, like a wilted flower. Miu stripped and planted one toe to the water. After making sure it was not to cold, she dipped in, gently pushing the lotus' out her way. Sometimes she wished she was like a sacred lotus: easy on the eye. But what Miu lacked in looks, she made up for in personality. She was a hard worker, very aggressive to say the least. Breathing in the fresh air, Miu let her hand go underwater and smirked as she felt the soft silky fins of the resident koi.
It had been a week since she met Tanjiro, Inosuke, Nezuko, and Zenistu. They were nice, well, some of them. Inosuke was still trying to tolerate Miu, and she was still trying to tolerate him. Inosuke was an extremely short-tempered and proud young man who always likes to think he is the strongest fighter in a situation, constantly challenging most people he comes across and wanting others to respect and praise him for his skill. He reminded Miu of herself. Tanjiro tried his best to keep the others out of trouble, Nezuko was the person who cheered others up. Zenistu was the coward, but he knew how to fight, and he's good at it. Tanjiro was the big brother, but Miu was the mom in charge. She was as fiery and short tempered as Inosuke.
The sound of wings flapping interrupted her thoughts. Turning around, Miu saw her Kasugai Crow, who she named Umi. "Ah, Umi. Good morning!" she said as she nuzzled the bird. "Here's your reminder that the Final Selection is in 2 days!!" Umi said, in his usual loud voice. Miu flinched slightly, as his words still rang in her ears. "Ok, ok, I got it! God you don't need to scream! Now shoo! You're lucky I love you.." Miu responded harshly. In the blink of an eye, Umi spread his wings and took flight, flying to god knows where.
