The individuals who were in the shed made a determined effort to make their way back into the house. When Hopper arrived at the front of the house, he grabbed his riffles and looked at the kids who were at the window. "Hey, get away from the windows!"
A hasty retreat was made by everyone away from the window. Jonathan, who was staring at him in a despairing manner, switched his attention to Hopper. "Do you know how to use this?" Hopper questioned.
"What?"
"Can you use this?"
"I can." When Nancy said that Bailey was standing close to Max and Steve, she grabbed the gun. Steve raised his bat, and Bailey raised his knife. Max stood in behind the two of them, slightly afraid. All of the weapons were raised, and everyone was prepared to assault the creature as it continued to linger out.
The screeching of the Demo-Dogs, which had been a considerable distance away, suddenly took on a more immediate presence.
"Where are they?" Max questioned.
All of them were unaware, therefore there was no response. The only thing they were aware of was that the growling and screeching were becoming more louder, which indicated that the Demo-Dogs were approaching closer. After then, there was a tremendous thud, which was followed by the horrifyingly familiar chittering sounds that was near to the home. To confront the cacophony, everyone turned around and faced it.
"What are they doing?" Nancy inquired
The bushes were trembling close to the window, which was located directly outside. Chittering could be heard coming from the beast before another loud snarling sound was heard. The entire group of people in the room shifted their gaze to the window that they had been staring at previously. After that, a screech of a high pitch was heard. From the looks of things, the Demo-Dog seemed to be... in pain. When the monster let out one more whimper, everyone waited with their breaths caught in their chests.
Suddenly, something flew through the window, causing everyone to jump backwards. Bailey wrapped his arm around Max and pulled her back, whileΒ Steve turned to protect them from the force of the impact.
Bailey stared outside, wondering what could have become the cause of the monster's death. There was complete silence, with the exception of the sound of something moving from the outside. Everyone once again readied their guns. Regardless of the creature that was going to enter, Bailey was prepared to throw his knife at it.
As soon as the door opened, it seemed as though everything in the universe had come to a complete halt.
Bailey broke into a grin as he recognised the person who had returned; it was eleven. When Steve and Max saw who she was, they became perplexed. Mike appeared to be in a state of complete and utter distress at seeing the girl he really cares about standing there.
"Eleven." Mike started.
"Mike." Eleven gasped out.
Instantaneously, the two embraced one another, heaving a sigh as they made physical contact. Both of their feelings came to the surface as they hugged one other. When Bailey put his knife back into his pocket, he did it with a grin on his face. He had the ability to sense the young love that was developing between the two of them, as well as the connection that was obvious.
"Is that..." Max trailed off, Dustin and Lucas both nodded.
"I never gave up on you." During the time that they were moving away from one another, Mike admitted that he looked at eleven as if she were hanging the moon for him, and Bailey was aware that this was genuine love. "I called you every night. Every night for..."
"353 days." Eleven finished the sentence for him. "I heard."
Given the confession, Mike appeared to be a little taken aback and even a little hurt. "Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?"
"Because I wouldn't let her."Hopper stated as he came closer to Eleven and pulled her into a hug and pressed a kiss on top of her head.
"You've been hiding her." Mike yelled as he looked between the two of them. "You've been hiding her this whole time!" After that, Mike shoved hopper, which caused the man to huff in embarrassment. Hopper then grumbled something to him, and the two of them went away to chat quietly.
"From the looks of things, you are going to be a babysitter for a few more kids." With a grin on his face, Bailey turned his attention to Steve, who was simply rolling his eyes.
"We missed you." Lucas says as Dustin and Lucas hugged eleven.
"I missed you too." Eleven said.
"We talked about you pretty much every day." Dustin admitted to her.
Eleven then suddenly reached up and touched Dustin's mouth, which caused him to recoil backwards. This caused him to pull back from them. "Teeth."
"What?"
"You have teeth."
"Oh. You like these pearls?" Dustin then suddenly purred.
"Eleven?" As soon as Max approached the girl, everyone made a turn around. "Hey. Um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you." She was just given a glimpse by Eleven before she moved on, which caused Max to look at her in a state of confusion on what she had done.
Eleven looked around and noticed that there were four teens standing there. Jonathan and Nancy were standing next to each other, and Bailey was standing next to a new male. She tipped her head in acknowledgement of the fact that they had changed since the last time she had seen themselves. Nevertheless, she experienced a positive feeling over this change.
Bailey leant against the kitchen bench as Steve stood next to him.Bailey was looking around at the drawings. It's not like it was before." Hopper stated. "It's grown. A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs."
"Demo-dogs." Dustin corrected.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Like Demogorgon and dogs. You put them together, it sounds pretty badass..." Dustin looked around as everyone stared at him and instantly knew to stop talking.
"I can do it." Eleven declared.
"You're not hearing me." Hopper disagreed.
"I'm hearing you. I can do it." Eleven uttered the words, leaving no place for anybody else to speak.
"Even if El can, there's still another problem." Mike brought up. "If the brain dies, the body dies."
"I thought that was the whole point." Max spoke confusingly.
"It is, but if we're really right about this...I mean, if El closes the gate and kills the mind flayer's army..."
"Will's a part of that army." Lucas concluded.
"Closing the gate will kill him." Mike finished.
Joyce got up from the table, and as she walked down the hallway, her thoughts were elsewhere. As she went, everyone followed her, and they were all unaware of what was going on. Upon seeing Will lying there, Bailey's heart was filled with a sense of despair. Absolutely no one is deserving of this.
"He likes it cold." Joyce whispered.
"What?" Hopper questioned.
"It's what Will kept saying to me...He likes it cold."In the process of turning around to face the group, she made the statement as she stepped over to the window and closed it. "We keep giving it what it wants."
"If this is a virus, and Will's the host, then..."At first, Nancy was attempting to make sense of everything in her thoughts.
"Then we need to make the host uninhabitable." As Jonathan looked up at Nancy, he announced.
"So if he likes it cold..."Nancy trailed off.
"We need to burn it out of him" She said this while experiencing the agony of wanting her son to return at last, but at the same time, she did not want him to take him through any more suffering.
"We have to do it somewhere he doesn't know this time." Mike says as he looked around the group.
"Yeah, somewhere far away." Dustin agreed.
