"It is almost boiling hot." From her position on the sun longue, Chrissy Cunningham stated. She held the book in her hand as she fanned herself, her spectacles resting on her face.

"At least we are not at the public pool." Bailey conversed with her as he presented her with a beverage; she sipped it with enthusiasm before retiring to the chair.

"Hey everyone, the hot dogs are on the way." With a drink in one hand and tongs in the other, Almos spoke from his vantage point near the barbeque.

"Thank you, darling." Florence gazed over the cloth before her as she placed another magazine on the table and spoke. "It's beginning to seem like the colour won't work with this dress style." She glanced across at one of her assistants and said.

The weather was nice, it was just a few days before the Fourth of July, and it had been nine months since the lab had closed. Over the past few months, a few things had changed. Along with his mother's store, the new Starcourt Mall had also opened. Bailey went to work to support his mom.

Steve Harrington has begun visiting Almos at his residence in order to work on a project. Bailey kept trying to figure things out, but he still wouldn't tell him. Shiloh Cameron, a beautiful girl whom Bailey cherished and safeguarded with his life, was born into family.

Something else had changed, some news had surfaced, during the previous few months as well. Breaking news that Bailey's world had crumbled, and he was still struggling to accept it. It seems like only yesterday when the doctor had told him.

"Bailey, Honey, are you okay?" His mother's remarks pierced his contemplation. He pivoted to observe his mother gazing at him with concern. He simply offered her a cordial grin and nodded.

"I am doing well, I am just thinking." He remarked when he was seated on the chair beside the pool. With his head leant back on the chair, he felt the warmth of the sun on his skin, which caused him to have a tiny sensation of heat.

"Contemplating the suitability of Steve or Dean as a match for you." Chrissy remarked with a smile. Bailey expressed exasperation by rolling his eyes and sighing in response to her remarks. Dean frequented the town more due to the new mall, and although Bailey was not objecting. It began to create a greater discord in his thinking.

Steve's increasing presence in his life began to induce feelings of dizziness. One individual is concealing secrets and acting covertly, unbeknownst to the other, while another other is providing him with a sense of normalcy and affection.

"I was considering that we get ice cream this afternoon." He said, glancing at Chrissy, who flushed slightly at the reference to ice cream. He was unaware of the reason, nevertheless whenever they planned to procure ice cream, she was invariably enthusiastic about the concept.

"Until I defeat you all in Uno, nobody will get ice cream." Almos said, turning to face the two youngsters who merely gave a small grunt. "All right, come get your lunch; it's ready."

Shiloh chattered joyfully as she gazed at the barbeque as Florence held on to her as they all stood up to go over to it. Even though it was a hot summer day, enjoying hamburgers by the pool was a fun way to pass the time.

"Thank you, Mr. Simmons, for the ride." Chrissy exclaimed joyfully as she exited the vehicle, and Bailey followed suit. pursuing her effervescent demeanour.

By the time they got there, it was night, and the Starcourt Mall was well illuminated, visible for miles around. Chrissy took hold of his hand and dragged him to the door. "Bailey!" Max Mayfield was running at him when he turned back.

"Hey Max, how are the others doing?" He stated he was searching everywhere for the covers but couldn't find any. Max simply rolled her eyes as she turned back to face him after glancing off into the distance.

"Everyone is waiting for Mike, but he's taking a long time, and we might miss this movie because of him." Bailey was aware that Mike and El had become close during the summer, so it was understandable that he was more preoccupied with her than his pals,

"Well, we might see you guys in there because we're going into scoops." She nodded in agreement with his statement before returning to the boys. Chrissy was already preoccupied with some of their pals when he turned around. He walked over. "Hey, guys."

"Hi, Bailey!" Before they all entered the mall, they all gave cheerful answers. As they discussed the newest guy of the day, Bailey listened in on their conversation. It was a guy in their grade who was working with Billy Hargrove as a lifeguard.

Most girls were also talking about Billy Hargrove. particularly the elder females. Bailey didn't really care that his behaviour at the wheeler place made him appear attractive. He was simply relieved that Billy had left the children alone.

At last, they arrived at the luminous ice cream shop. Bailey nearly felt overpowered by the sight of the vibrant lights. A familiar face was seated at one of the booths when he turned around. "Dean." As he approached him, he spoke

"It's great to see you again, Bailey." With a charming smile, the boy spoke. Even though the boy's remarks were so straightforward, Bailey felt his heart skip a beat.

Steve watched as Balley spoke to the very tall boy, the man's leaning against the booth giving him a charming appearance . As he continued to scoop ice cream into a cone, his eyes never left theirs, he said, "What's this guy's deal?"

Wondering what the big deal was, Robin gave him a confused look. "I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure that's just two people having a normal conversation." She said this as she listened carefully to the two people converse. Without a doubt, the taller boy captivated the shorter one.

Steve saw the older boy bend over and put his hand on the younger boy's shoulders, and he gritted his teeth. "His basically putting himself all over Bailey, out in the open like this, people will definitely talk." Steve's cheeks were flushed, but not in a blushing way.

"When did you start working as a news reporter? He's just plain conversing with him; calm down, Clark Kent." As she moved her weight away from the counter, Robin spoke. Despite her lack of knowledge, she had a gut feeling that there was much more to this tale.

"Bailey, how is your summer going?" Dean smiled as he asked.

"I've had much worse experiences, but this one has been interesting." As he saw Chrissy already waiting in line for her ice cream, Bailey didn't exactly worry about ice cream since he was too busy with Dean.

After a brief flicker, the lights abruptly go out. As everything became dark, Bailey took a curious glance about. It was strange, but hardly the most strange thing he had ever seen.

Steve came over and tried turning the lights on and off, but it didn't work. "That isn't gonna work, dingus." Robin said, turning to face him.

"Oh, really?" Steve says, flipping the switch once more with no result. He made the decision to keep doing it, but nothing changed.

"You're okay, Bailey?" Dean replied, turning to face Bailey, who was observing the surroundings with a range of conflicted feelings. Bailey only nodded, not particularly like being in the dark.

After the lights were restored, everyone resumed their activities. Steve smiled smugly as he turned to Robin. "Let there be light." Robin merely gave him a small scowl before turning to return to the bar.

"Want to see a movie? I've heard some excellent ones are out." Dean asked. After giving it some thought, Bailey nodded.

Robin watched as the two walked away, anย  abrupt commotion next to her caused her to look over. Steve was standing beside her with a scrunched upcone with ice cream all over the bench and his hand as she looked at him.

"Boys are so confusing."
