At the same time as everyone grabbed onto anything, Max raced around the bend. While he dabbed Steve's face clean of blood, Bailey held his head. Bailey was astounded that they let Max to drive, but she was performing an exceptional job.

Sitting next to him, Max and Dustin also appeared terrified, much like Steve. As Steve drew his eyes open, he beheld nothing but a smiling face staring back at him. Looking about him was a source of confusion for him. "Nancy?" Looking over to Mike, who was simply staring at him with a look of confusion, he asked.

He reached out to touch his face, but Bailey quickly resisted. "No, don't touch it." Dustin warns softly. "Hey, buddy...It's okay. You put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but you put up a fight."

"Okay, you're gonna keep straight for a half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai." Lucas instructed to Max.

"What's going on?" Steve asked as his words were slurring.

"Steve, calm down. You're going to hurt yourself." In an effort to reassure Steve, Bailey whispered. As Steve relaxed, he glanced up at the brown-eyed boy and felt a wave of warmth wash over him. Only then did it hit him: he was staring at Bailey.

"Oh, my God!" Steve panicked as he noticed that Max was driving.

"Just relax. She's driven before." Dustin calmly explained.

"Yeah, in a parking lot." Mike argued.

"That counts." Dustin disagreed before looking back at Steve. "They were gonna leave you behind."

As Steve struggled to sit up, his pupils dilated in fear, and Bailey did his best to prevent him from rising any more. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What's going on?"Concerned, he questioned loudly.

"Everybody shut up! I'm trying to focus!" Max yelled out.

"Oh, wait.." As he glanced down at the map, Lucas spoke. "that's Mount Sinai. Make a left."

Everyone was knocked over a little by Max's sudden pivot. So that Steve wouldn't suffer too much pain, Bailey held him in his arms.

At last coming to a stop, they all staggered forward a little. When Bailey banged his head on the chair, he let out a groan. "Hello!" Steve yelled out.

"Incredible." Mike muttered in amazement.

"I told you." Upon exiting the vehicle, Max exclaimed. "Zoomer."

Steve stepped out of the car with a stutter and a moan, everyone else did the same but more natural. Reluctantly, Bailey rushed over to assist him.

He accepted the spectacles and bandanna that Max had offered him, thanked her, and then turned to Steve, who had spat blood onto the floor. The act caused Bailey to slightly grimaced.

"Oh, no. Guys. Hey, where do you think you're going?" While observing them, Steve wanted to know. He went unnoticed and unrecognised. "What are you, deaf? Hello? We are not going down there right now....I made myself clear. Hey, there's no chance we're
going to that hole, all right?"

Bailey shrugged and followed the children as they all disregarded him. "This ends right now!" Steve yelled out.

"Steve, you're upset, I get it. But the bottom line is, a party member requires assistance," Dustin said, passing a bandana and goggles over to him as well as a flashlight. "and it is our duty to provide that assistance. Now, I know you promised Nance that you would keep us safe so keep us safe."

With a sigh, Steve clung to the bandanna and goggles. After grinning, Bailey jumped into the hole among the children. Steve leapt into the hole. "Holy shit." Steve mumbled as he looked around.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's this way." Mike announced as he looked down the tunnel.

"You're pretty sure, or you're certain?" Dustin inquired looking over at him.

"I'm one-hundred percent sure. Just follow me and you'll know." Mike says with a reassuring look.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey. I don't think so." While Steve stepped in front of the children to protest, Bailey tinkered with his knife. "Any of you little shits die down here,
I'm getting the blame. Got it, dipshit? From here on out, I'm leading the way. Come on, let's go."

Bailey merely sighed and directed his knife towards the tunnel as Max and Dustin glanced over at him. "Listen to his instructions before he orders you to climb back up." He spoke, and the children grudgingly agreed.

"God." With a low voice, Lucas peered around the tunnel.

"What is this place?" Max coughed, she moved her flashlight across the vines.

"Guys, come on. Keep moving." They persisted at Steve's words. After hearing a piercing scream from behind, everyone spun around to see Dustin yelling.

"Help! Help! Help!" Dustin gasped out. As soon as they heard his cry, everyone ran over to investigate.

"What happened?" Steve asked concerned, Bailey looked over Dustin to make sure there wasn't any injuries on him.

Bailey made a face of contempt but allowed himself to be overwhelmed by the boy's little cough as mucus spilt out of his mouth. "It's in my mouth! Some got on my mouth! Shit!" He whimpered. "I'm okay."

"You serious?" Max sighed frustrated.

"Very funny, man." Steve got to his feet and started talking; Bailey felt sorry for the youngster and offered him assistance. As Dustin beamed at him. "Nice. Very nice."

"You alright?" As the others began to leave, Bailey inquired.

"Thanks, Baz; I'm alright." As he got back on his feet, Dustin spoke. He trailed behind the gang in no time, and Bailey couldn't help but grin at the nickname.

"All right, Wheeler."The others quickly came up to Steve as he spoke while staring at something. "I think we found your hub."

"Drench it." Although everyone was looking at it, Mike asserted strongly.

Bailey was sure not to put any gasoline on himself or anyone else while he was helping out, and they immediately began to work spreading gasoline from one place to another.

"You ready?" Steve inquired looking at them.

"It is time to set fire to this place." There was a comment made by Bailey as he stood close to Steve. The smiles that were appearing on the faces of the two youngsters grew as they glanced at each other. Both of them felt a sense of relief from the comfort that their grins provided.

"Light her up." Dustin replied.

"I am in such deep shit." While he was flicking the lighter open, Steve said something. He put it into the hub, and as was to be expected, it caught fire almost immediately. But the fire developed in a way that was completely unexpected, and Bailey was helpless to do anything but gaze at the flames as they extended. The fire seemed to be something incredibly powerful, and he was completely amazed by it.

"Go, go, go!" Steve screamed as he looked over at the kids. As soon as he heard the children screaming, Bailey immediately turned around and followed them.

"Hey, this way!" Steve cried out as they continued to sprint down the tunnels with the intention of escaping. Any time Bailey heard a thump, he immediately came to a stop. He noticed Mike lying on the ground. Something was snatching him on the shoulder.

"Help! Help! Help! Help!" After Mike let out a scream, everyone hurried back in his direction. Immediately, Bailey reached for his knife and made a hasty attempt to chop through the vine.

"Everybody back! Back!" Steve came storming ahead, and Lucas cried out in response. As soon as Bailey saw Steve belt, he took a step back. Using the bat, he swung it onto the vine.

At the same time as the lads began to check on Mike, Bailey stood up and began to assist them regarding Mike. "Guys, we gotta go!"

On the other hand, Dustin remained because he was interested in something. They were being approached by a demonstration dog. Steve and Bailey guarded the children by standing in front of them to ensure that they were safe. "Dart."

"Dustin, get back." Max says as Dustin just ignored her.

"Hey. It's me, it's me. It's just your friend, it's Dustin." In front of the beast, he uttered the words while crouching down. "It's Dustin, all right? You remember me?Β  Will you let us pass?" He inquired.

The group made a little jump when the demo-dog snarled, and Steve shoved everyone behind him in a slight manner. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry about the storm cellar. That was a pretty douchey thing to do." Dustin removed his rucksack and placed it in front of him. "You hungry? Yeah?"

"He's insane." Lucas says quietly.

"Shh." Bailey whispered.

"I've got our favorite. See? Nougat." When Dustin was holding out the food for the demonstration dog, he stated. "Look at that. Yummy. Here, all right? Eat up, buddy. Come on. Come on." Dustin motioned for the group to come over; now was their opportunity to go with their journey. When they were walking together, Max clutched onto Bailey's arm.

"Goodbye, buddy." Dustin spoke while looking at Dart, expressing his desire to stay with the creature despite the fact that he knew it was the correct thing to do.

"Let's go, let's go!" Prior to continuing their trek through the tunnel, Steve cried out, and he waited for everyone to be in front of him before continuing the voyage.

There was a tremendous noise coming from somewhere, the earth began to tremble, and everyone was holding onto something to prevent themselves from going over with fear of falling over. "What was that?" Max yelled.

"They're coming." As Mike started to run, he let out a yell. "Run! Run!"

All of them were able to make it back to the rope, and Steve was there to assist them. Bailey had a hand as well. At that moment, Steve immediately threw his arms around Bailey, who then wrapped his arms around Dustin. The creature was getting closer. Every single one of them shut their eyes, well aware of the worst possible outcome.

Nevertheless, nothing occurred, and when Bailey opened his eyes, he saw that the creatures were moving about them. " This is..." Dustin trailed off.

"Eleven." Mike gasped in surprise.

After they had finally crept out of the tunnel, Bailey assisted Steve in standing up, and the two of them appeared to glance at each other. After experiencing the sensation of regaining consciousness, they felt the explosion come in between them.

Steve couldn't help but laugh when he made the observation that Bailey had ash all over his face."What is going on there?" A perplexed Dustin inquired.

"You'll see."There was a grin on Max's face as she stared at them before she started heading back towards the car.
