↣ 𝘙𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘉𝘺 𝘔𝘺 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦

They had been painstakingly making their way through the upside-down in an attempt to reach the creel house. As her anxiety level began to rise, Robin scanned the forest for any signs of danger.

"Uh...I don't mean to freak anyone out, but I swear we've seen this tree before."

"That's impossible."

"That would suck, right?" Evidently rattled by her anxiety, Robin persisted. "If Vecna destroyed the world because... 'cause we got lost in the woods?"

"We're not lost, Robin."

When Robin began to go, Nancy, who had been attempting to pursue her, quickly caught up.  It was now only Steve and Bailey.  Strolling hand in hand.  Steve stopped them by grabbing his hand.  Curiously, Bailey examined him.

"No one is here to cut us off, and if they do, I will give my life to Vecna."  Bailey bursts out laughing and pulls in closer to Steve as a result of Steve's words.

"Steve, are you alright?"  Bailey asked the boy with the black hair as she stared at him.  Steve was completely absorbed in the intense stare of Bailey's hazel eyes.  In an effort to calm Steve's anxiety, Bailey took his hands.

"I can't help but be captivated by the depth of your dark eyes.  You radiate kindness and have the most charming smile.  Being in your presence is just incredible, and your spirit is delightful." Steve made a comment that caused Bailey to slightly lower her jaw.

"Steve, what?"  Bailey faltered slightly.

"In this world, the next, and every universe that has ever existed, I am in love with you, Bailey Jace Cameron."  He grasped Bailey's hands and bestowed a kiss onto them.  His eyes brimmed with tears. "You represent my new prospect for love; you instill in me genuine hope that love is real. Your presence elucidates everything. Until my last breath, I will eternally love you."

Bailey could only stare, remaining immobile and silent.  "I understand if-"  Bailey advanced, grasped Steve's face, and kissed him fervently.  It was as if sparks sparked between their souls.  Steve encircled Bailey's waist and pulled him close, their cheeks damp with tears.

Bailey was the first to withdraw, succumbing to laughing as additional tears cascaded down his face.  "I love you too, Steve Harrington, until the end of my days."  As Steve pulled him into a kiss, he chuckled.

"Hey, guys!" Upon hearing Robin's shout, they separated to direct their gaze towards her., "You guys! Awesome news! Looks like we weren't going the wrong way after all."

They watched as they neared the small playground. While awaiting Erica's voice, they all knelt.  When Robin and Steve momentarily engaged in a fist bump.

"Okay, the lovebirds have copied. Max is moving into phase two: distracting Vecna." Following a little stillness, they discerned Erica's voice, exhaling with relief.

"So far, so smooth."

"Yeah, we're not even at the hard part yet." All of them oriented themselves towards the Creel residence as Steve spoke.

"Take the bait, you son of a bitch." Nancy muttered, "Take the bait."

Subsequently, following what felt like an interminable duration, they once again heard Erica's voice. "Okay, she's in. Initiate phase three."

"She's in. Move on to phase three." The response back to Dustin.

"Copy that." Dustin replied. "Initiating phase three."

They remained stationary until Eddie's guitar commenced playing.  The bats advanced towards him. "Okay, it's working. Let's go." Nancy ordered, once all the bats had gone.

Upon reaching the Creel residence, they observed that vines enveloped the entire entrance. They seemed to be in motion. "Oh shit." Steve said, as they looked over the vines. "That's not good."

They navigated the home, being cautious of their steps. They recalibrated their rifles upon reaching the second floor.  Nevertheless, the house began to shake. "Steve! Nancy! Bailey!"

The vines encircled Robin , prompting an immediate rush of individuals to assist her.  However, the cones began to adhere to them, forcing them toward the wall.  Bailey sensed the vines beginning to envelop him. 

As pain enveloped him, he fixed his gaze upon Steve, tears cascading down his cheeks.  In his fight, he was incapable of screaming, moving, or even closing his eyes.  Upon crossing the threshold, they realized their fate was sealed.  This was the comprehensive strategy for all matters.
